Reviews for Parkhotel Wehrle

Review 1:I would have liked to control my own room temperature. The room I was assigned had no bathtub. I did desire to take a hot bath after my three hour trip. The spa was closed.

Review 2:Very convenient location. Extremely helpful front desk personnel. Very conversant in English.

Review 3:The room had no desk. Bad reading light by the bed. Bed not up to 4 star standard. The breakfast room was very cold. The "hot" dishes at the breakfast were not really even warm.

Review 4:Good spa and fitness (not so many machines but very spacious)

Review 5:Parking was tight in the small garage under the hotel. The entrance is very narrow.

Review 6:The hotel rooms are small but we were just there to sleep and the price was right! It is located very close to the train if you plan to take the train into Stuttgart. Lots of stores and restaurants close by, too. The breakfast didn't offer a huge selection but it filled us up for the day.

Review 7:The hotel has excellent facilities and is located in one of the most interesting places in the Black Forrest, the room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel staff was very helpful in solving problems.

Review 8:No ac meant the rooms got pretty hot. The wifi wasn't very strong and breakfast could have been better

Review 9:Really cute, quaint hotel. It was very romantic! Great staff, excellent location and very comfortable beds.

Review 10:I am 81 yeras old and I think that you should consider putting a railing on the right side as one walks up the stairs. Many of your customers are older and must traverse the stairs. Many being RIGHT handed would appreciate a hand rail on the righ, as they go up!! Also, the resturant in ther park out back loses business because they are TOO quick tio close, if the weather looks bad, WE were trying to eat there several days but the staff decided to close it!!

Review 11:Location and price,

Review 12:Building site outside our room! No Air Con with temp reaching 40c! Nocoffee in room. Staff not helpful. Not a 4**** as indecated on website!! Rather 3-2* Hotel

Review 13:Safe parking and tea garden. Location excellent

Review 14:We loved the on site parking, free delicious breakfast, wifi, and availability of baby crib. The staff were all very nice. There is no air conditioning in this region but they brought a fan which was nice.

Review 15:The WiFi connection was completely nonexistent in the room (in the guesthouse) and even at the reception it was very poor.

Review 16:The breakfast was excellent, served in a wonderful room, the view from our room charming and the location fantastic. Great spa, with lot of things to try out.

Review 17:Very hot - didn't sleep the first night-if we opened windows traffic was too loud, if closed way too hot. We asked for a fan the second night and it helped, but it was still really hot. Too much money to be so uncomfortable.

Review 18:Room was lovely. Great breakfast.

Review 19:Great location - easy walk to the spectacular waterfall.(Don't miss it!) Perfect base for walking tour in the Black Forest. Convenient to shops and to restaurants that serve authentic Black Forest cake. Tons of amenities. Beautiful gardens. Warm and friendly staff. Free onsite parking.

Review 20:The location was ideal for our visit with superb facilities and secure parking. The rooms were very well presented, clean and furnished with nice olde worlde furniture

Review 21:WiFi is very poor. Tends to have a too formal style. One can do things properly yet in a more relaxed manner. Balcony near room 201 when used by smokers pollutes your room if window is open. Had to request more shower gel - is one small tube enough for three days, no!

Review 22:Breakfast excellent, hotel restaurant also excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Secure car parking.

Review 23:I booked for a comfort room in the hotel but when i came with my friends they told me we were fully booked and they gave me an 2 rooms appartment that belongs to them in which it was in the roof floor, wooden style which was so noisy and so hot. No airconditions and no fans. The wheather was hot and it was terrible experience in this appartment. After my complain they gave me 1 small fan which was the last one. I gave it to my wife and kids and i slept in separate room without fan. When i checked out due to my complain they took off 25 euro out of 175 euro. Generaly the garden and the spa made my day.

Review 24:Spa was wonderful with amazing facilites. It was so relaxing. Garden was nice.

Review 25:Liked it all.

Review 26:Only stayed one night. We arrived at 7pm and were taken to our room by a very pleasant English speaking young man - good first impression which is always important. Room not in main hotel was v spacious, quiet and pleasingly modernised - but no views. Great new looking (8 yrs old apparently) Spa with all one would expect and decent size pool with Roman entry steps - great for those like us with dodgy knees!! Def worth making time to spend in Spa. Had good range of tanning beds and an ice shower!! Enjoyed our dinner and breakfast served by attractive waitresses in local costume. Despite a plethora of cuckoo clock shops - Triberg is a pretty sleepy Black Forest town dining out on having the highest waterfall in Germany! Yes - we would return (once the road works are completed!)

Review 27:Wifi not working in rooms After 10 pm reception closed

Review 28:Everything, close to waterfall in the heart of Black Forest, swimming pool , message, staff cooperation and sympathy .,,,etc

Review 29:Our dog was allowed in the room only. Not even in the bar. Very disappointing for Europe. The bed was not large or that comfortable - 2 single quilts on twins pushed together.

Review 30:The room was very big and clean, within the gardens, away from the main hotel. Breakfast was plentiful, the pool was warm and fabulous. Location was very good. Shower very good.

Review 31:The wi-fi didn't seem to work at all.

Review 32:The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was outstanding, the room was comfortable and the surroundings were wonderful.

Review 33:The hotel is beautiful, but the room was much simple, then on the photo (Room 107). The wardrobe in the room wasn't assembled properly,so each time we were walking in the room,it was making the sounds. The Wifi didn't work during all our stay. The receptionist explained us,that the hotel is experiencing some problems with connection this weekend.I hope it was true, otherwise it's not normal not to have a proper Wifi in 4 star hotel.

Review 34:The Spa was big and has a lot to offer. If you are going for a Spa weekend, then i advise you to book the room in the building, where the Spa is located,it's more convenient and quiet. The breakfast was really good with quiet big selection of everything. The hotel staff was pretty helpful, but restaurant staff didn't speak English much.We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and it was really good and delicious. The must try dessert - Iced Black Forest, loved it!!!

Review 35:The wifi was slow but we were in the separate building with the spa. It was much better in the lobby. The room price was on the expensive side but you were also in a great location with just a 500 meter walk to the falls.

Review 36:The food and service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. We even got a free upgrade to a suite without asking. The room was fantastically appointed and very comfortable and it included access to the spa.

Review 37:The location was perfect to set off on our adventures in the Black Forest. Coo-Coo crazy Triberg is a quaint old town. We were welcomed with a champagne toast, available at our leisure until 1800.

Review 38:Trains come by and can be heard, but not enough to be a major negative from the room we had. Having to catch the ferry across the Rhine to get to the old town can be a plus or a minus. Given the plus sides of the hotel, we saw it as a positive.

Review 39:Great location with a view of the river through the bedroom window, great restaurant food and wines from the district, friendly, helpful staff, room with space, an external bar to the hotel with river views. The ferry ticket seller (not part of the hotel) is a class act in understatement, but he should cut down on the smokes to prolong his life.

Review 40:This hotel is considered by many locals to be the best in the area. Rooms are comfortably furnished, clean, and we loved the complimentary water and gummy bears! Service was great, as was the location. There is a carpark which is an added bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Review 41:As a woman I've never had a male massaging me. This threw me. I was bit a few times in the night, but we never saw any bugs in our room so I'm not sure how. There's no wifi in the guesthouse we stayed in.

Review 42:Everything! This was a very relaxing hotel that was dog friendly & loved the spa. We will definitely be staying here everytime we visit. Staff were amazing.

Review 43:We had a room overlooking the road which was quite noisy at night. My parents had a beautiful comfort double away from the road and loved it. It was very expensive so we were expecting everything to be perfect.

Review 44:The location and rating of the hotel. The pool was great for the kids and breakfast was amazing!

Review 45:No complaints at all.

Review 46:This is an excellent hotel all the way around with great location in Triberg, excellent staff, excellent restaurant and the rooms we had both times were spacious, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Couldn't ask for more.

Review 47:There is no elevator. The mattress was too soft. The pool in the spa has cold water. The overall opinion though is very positive

Review 48:The room was very nice. Excellent breakfast and excellent service with the staff very careful to our needs. The spa is also nice.

Review 49:Lots of staircase, no elevator in the main block.

Review 50:Nice and clean room. Polite staff Swimming pool facility are good and clean. Free entry to nearby waterfall included and guest card for free to use the local bus.

Review 51:Good location in centre of town, old rooms in old building but very clean and tidy, breakfast good. Well maintained garden, parking, spa and pool. Overall very good service.

Review 52:Breakfast was modest Furniture (sofas and chairs) could do with updating.

Review 53:The spa area The in room bath jacuzzi - high quality sanitary ware let done by poor finishings. The car park and free!

Review 54:A better signpost to reception would be useful. We went to the spa reception instead of the hotel reception when we arrived.

Review 55:Excellent location with the hotel spread around a garden. Very quiet and relaxing setting with good spa facilities.

Review 56:Our stay was too short. We arrived too late to enjoy many of the spa facilities.

Review 57:This hotel is fantastic. With a world-class spa it is so relaxing. The staff is very friendly. Our stay was perfect. Especially fun when Germany won the World Cup semi-finals during our stay!

Review 58:The history of this hotel is really cool. We got to stay in the same room that Napoleon stayed in! Hotel was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was excellent and breakfast was very good.

Review 59:the main wing is on the main village street where noisy trucks start travelling very early in the morning. on weekends, touring bikes and tourists keep the street busy and noisy. The staff kindly offered us a room in the back wing as of the second day of our stay. If you don't plan to use the hotel's spa (at cost) and just come for touring the black forest, u may want to check other accommodations as well.

Review 60:the hotel has a beautiful back garden wing which is much more quite.

Review 61:Very close to the clock shops I wanted to visit.

Review 62:The bed was less comfortable than I'd hoped for.

Review 63:Friendly welcome. Good location. Good spa type facilities.

Review 64:No A/C. Was very hot.

Review 65:Great location. Rooms were large.

Review 66:the bed was not comfortable and the room too hot

Review 67:friendly hotel great location

Review 68:Great location, amazing spa facilities, good food, helpful staff and elegant surroundings.

Review 69:The bed in room 403 was lumpy and too soft.

Review 70:This is a great location, a wonderful staff, a fantastic spa and a great place to rest or rejuvenate.

Review 71:No air condition in room

Review 72:The hotel had history

Review 73:could not fault it in any way

Review 74:the restaurant was fabulous food superb spa fantastic one of the most favourite hotels we have stayed in

Review 75:The staff was very helpful

Review 76:Beautiful setting. Food excellent, and very good service. Secure car parking. Had a very enjoyable stay.

Review 77:The traffic noise and layout of bedroom

Review 78:Salinas Spa and Hotel Restaurant both very good

Review 79:they should have lift to upper floor

Review 80:Great location, beautiful grounds, took a soak in the hot tub before bed. Breakfast was great!

Review 81:I enjoyed the spacious rooms and the lovely spa and pool areas. It was a great experience!

Review 82:The affiliated restaurant was good food but the staff appear to be attentive to certain tables and not to others.

Review 83:Beautiful grounds

Review 84:Excellent SPA area, and you could still stay until 6 pm after check out Nice staff Private compound with cozy atmosphere

Review 85:A walk in the elements to the spa.

Review 86:Very clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Will recommend to others.

Review 87:Perfect location. Very enjoyable spa. Friendly people, fluently in English. Overall a toprecomendation.

Review 88:wifi too bad

Review 89:expensive

Review 90:location

Review 91:16th Century building, furnishings and antiques. 2 or maybe 3 stars in my opinion.

Review 92:Spa is great, but for some/most of the facilities demand is to be nude.

Review 93:Excellent location for hiking to the waterfall

Review 94:no

Review 95:restaurant and food nice receptionist

Review 96:Nothing

Review 97:Everything. Our second stay and all was perfect, the staff, the rooms, the breakfast and the location.

Review 98:The wifi was very very slow There isn't mini bar in the rooms

Review 99:Everything

Review 100:The location, helpful and friendly staff, excellent internet, Pool and Spa. Comfortable and Clean rooms. A historical hotel.

Review 101:Nothing!

Review 102:Large room, friendly staff, good bed, nicely situated in the village and the pool was beautiful!

Review 103:No elevator to rooms

Review 104:Very nice hotel, close to the falls, clean comfortable rooms, good breakfast

Review 105:Exceptional hotel!

Review 106:Spa was worth going to this hotel. It was so relaxing!

Review 107:The bed had a wood frame as high as the mattress and made it uncomfortable to sit on. Didn't really care for the shower fixtures.Being a big guy I was only barely able to get into the shower and close the door because of the way it was designed. There is no lift and since I had a heavy suitcase I decided to unpack what I needed in my car and carry that up the two flights to my room.

Review 108:The location is great you are right there near the falls and shopping. The parking was great and the breakfast was good. I slept with my window open and it was very quiet all night. Free bus pass and ticket to the falls and to the spa which I did not have a chance to use but is nice to have the option. I only stayed one night and I think this would be a better hotel for 2 or more nights to get the full benefit of what they have to offer. I would stay there again.

Review 109:Their front desk is not manned in the evening and there were many miss-communications. They did not tell us that there was breakfast included or the times. The signs for the hotel made us circle by 4 times before we found it.

Review 110:The Hotel was conveniently located in town to the waterfall, but the town is so small that nearly everything is. The facilities were great and I really enjoyed my time.

Review 111:No negatives! Great town for an overnight stay! Parkhotel Wehrle wasperfect! No elevator so second floor would not be great for those not somobile, but to me that's European!

Review 112:Great location, fabulous breakfast buffet, helpful concierge, mostaccommodating !! Helped us return a key to our previous hotel....highlyrecommend !!

Review 113:Parkhotel Wehrle was a fantastic place to stay in Triberg. Centrally located and full of comfortable amenities and friendly staff, it is the perfect place to stay in Triberg. We enjoed the welcome drinks, the breakfast buffet, the spa, and the Triberg Waterfalls, all of which were included in the price of the room. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat at the Ochsenstube (one of their restaurants)...I guess we will just have to come back!

Review 114:Even though we booked through this website, the staff did not have our reservation. Good thing there were rooms available. Also, there were no parking spots available. Breakfast was average.

Review 115:The location was perfect for visiting the waterfall, museum, and shopping for cuckoo clocks.

Review 116:Staff seemed irritable at times. We were there on a Sunday during Triberg's after Christmas festival. The bar was closed and the restaurant was very limited--they offered 2 dinner selections for 30 Euro per person. The price for the rooms was much higher than what we have paid in the past at comparable hotels.

Review 117:Rooms were very clean. Rooms had a terrace, (but you have to pay more for these). Spa had a lot of options for steam rooms and saunas. Breakfast buffet was good, but typical.

Review 118:- The decorations in the hotel rooms didn't really match the modern look of the Spa area. - Slow WiFi - Only German and French channels on the TV in the room except for BBC World. - Breakfast was okay, but it was the same every day.

Review 119:- There's a really nice Spa & Wellness center accessible until night time (22h). Swimming pool, Finnish sauna, Stollen sauna, Turkish steam bath, aromatic steam room, sunbeds, relaxation room with water beds, hot stone beds, ... - Gym: 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical trainer, 4 strength training devices with weights - Nice location, within walking distance of the Triberg Waterfalls. - A cosy and modern bar - Plenty of parking space and secure within the gated area

Review 120:Our room was leaking water from the ceiling, the wireless did not work in the building we were in (we had to go to a different building to use wireless internet), the wash room had a horrible odor, and the robes smelled like they were dirty.

Review 121:The staff was extremely nice. The location is great and the town of Triberg is wonderful.

Review 122:I loved this hotel. The rooms are cute & clean. We had a group of family and friend; we brought out two dogs. It was so relaxing at the spa! If your going to Triberg stay here it is def worth it.
