Reviews for Eden Hotel

Review 1:Nothing.

Review 2:Really friendly and efficient staff. Good range of dishes at dinner and breakfast. Excellent local wines. Comfortable room with spacious balcony. Fabulous location overlooking the port.

Review 3:Insecurity of bedroom door lock. if you forget to operate the lock by key on the inside, anyone can open the door from the outside. I have never come across such a crazy locking system, unless I was doing it wrong. Otherwise, lovely hotel all round.

Review 4:Excellent breakfast, lovely bedroom with sea/harbour view. Would recommend it.

Review 5:That the customer service and regard for guests is completely unacceptable . The rooms are well below the 3 star rating . I have stayed in nicer hostels for a fraction of what they charged me and never have I been told I'm 'not allowed' to speak to a manager about my booking and that I'm 'lying' ( ??? ) Just plain weird and rude and disappointing

Review 6:That my friends were there too and we could walk to the beach easily

Review 7:Staff

Review 8:Staff rude, cleaners kept coming in unannounced to room, wouldn't tell us the room supplement fee and then charged doubled what they quoted, wouldn't let me speak to manager

Review 9:Nothing for us to dislike.

Review 10:Location fantastic, staff superb,(especially Maryline on reception)but all were great. Our superior room with sea view was exactly as described

Review 11:The position of the hotel was good. The beach was fantastic which was only across the road. Swimming pool was lovely and the food was excellent. We had Half board for a very small extra cost which was well worth it. We had a a good room with balcony and sea view.

Review 12:Nothing major. There were only plug sockets by the balcony doors which was a bit of a pain. The tv was plugged in here and was not possible to view from the bed. Also, no iron. Luckily we took our own travel iron.

Review 13:We paid the little extra for a room with a sea view. We were not disappointed as we were given a 4th floor room in the building nearest the sea. We had an unspoiled view right across the port. Beautiful.

Review 14:The entertainment - this was probably a little too loud and went on a little too late - till midnight sometimes, and if you didn't want to join in and needed an early night, it was hard to ignore.

Review 15:The location is excellent, the staff are so friendly, the food is plentiful and the whole atmosphere is one of calm and relaxation.

Review 16:No one on reception after returning from a family wedding at 1am tired and having to walk around for 15 minutes trying to find someone to get our room key.

Review 17:Lovely location overlooking the beach although my brother had a front room and found the noise from the bar noisy at night. We had a back room overlooking the mountains so were not disturbed by this at all. So for a family with small children this is probably a must. We found the staff mostly friendly a few hiccups like us returning back to the hotel after a family wedding at another near by hotel only to find no one on reception to get our keys to our rooms I had to walk around the hotel for 15 minutes to find someone (not a pleasant experience at 1am in the morning).having given the negatives my overall experience was good. Also for anyone on a budget it is excellent value and the location is beautiful and has a nice respectable feel and the people were friendly. I

Review 18:We did not have a bad experience but there were some things that could be improved perhaps - the pool area, while functional, was not particularly attractive to sit out at in the evenings, despite the fact that it serves as the main bar for the hotel. The food was very basic - juice and coffee in the mornings were horrible and definitely could be a whole lot better. The decor in the rooms was very tired and could use an update.

Review 19:We spent 7 days here with our 9yr old daughter. The location was wonderful - could not be better for our purposes. The actual facilities could be a bit better - so close to the sea and main street. We got to change rooms half way through our stay and then had a sea view and that improved our stay immensely. The view from the balcony was the best part of the hotel for me. It was a great hotel for anyone with children.

Review 20:Evening meal choices could have been better and needed to be served and maintained at a hot temperature. Most food was lukewarm at best

Review 21:The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Housekeeping service was excellent.

Review 22:breakfast a disaster . food all cold . I like a good coffee and it was like dishwater . found we went out of the complex for breakfast . hotel very out dated , realised that the only value for money was the location . found there were nicer quality hotels just as close for in and around the same money. was a small issue with the sun beds as not enough due to the size of the area and when we went looking for the manger was told on two occasions they would contact us during our stay . never got to see the manger , don't think they exist . so if you do have a complaint don't expect anybody to come back to you . visited a lot of hotels in my time and this one I would rate low.

Review 23:perfect location for restaurants and beach . nice friendly staff . swimming pool good -nicely located for sea view. relaxing . good for families with children

Review 24:Having to deal with bookings.com while on holiday due to their website issues not recognising that when I said child was 2 they assumed under 2 and we were charged extra

Review 25:Location, view and staff were fantasic

Review 26:Sunbeds being reserved with towels at 8am and the hotel failing to act upon their own notice that this practice is prohibited.

Review 27:Great location, helpful staff

Review 28:Wifi reception a bit patchy in the hotel. Shame there isn't a gym. One or two minor misses by the cleaners though generally room cleanliness was good.

Review 29:Staff very helpful , half board menu option is good value with a large selection of well prepared items on the buffet. Rooms are quite spacious, simply furnished. Hotel is excellently located for Soller shops, tram and beach.Soller has good restaurants and some late opening bars but not many clubs (or rowdy drunks) so you get a good nights sleep. The hotel provides evening entertainment by the pool and bar several nights a week. I would go back again.

Review 30:You must ask for the Wi-Fi code at reception and activate it within 2 hours of arrival. The live entertainment at night can be a little loud but is cuts off at midnight.

Review 31:Fantastic pool and terrace overlooking the port. The staff were very friendly and helpful -- quick service at the pool restaurant and let us linger drinking coffee at breakfast.

Review 32:Non working wifi. Old rooms. Old tv that couldn't be watched from the bed. Package-tour hotel. Overpriced. Very big low quality breakfast buffet.

Review 33:Helpful staff. Location.

Review 34:Had to go to beach as pool so crowded and dominated by children so had to pay for sun beds on beach 11 euros or 12.50 But it was July and expect children at pool

Review 35:Location to beach was brilliant just across the road from hotel Food choice was good and lots of choice for all courses as we were half board and freshly cooked fish and meat too Breakfast great choice

Review 36:Sun beds still being reserved with towels but not used throughout the day. Also air beds floating in the pool.

Review 37:Fantastic location and views. Service excellent. Excellent facilities for biking and hiking.

Review 38:Passports were held in key cubbyholes until signed for and retrieved. The reception desk was not always manned, especially late at night. Anyone could have come in and taken passports from the back of the reception desk. That was a concern.

Review 39:Very helpful staff, who dealt with our big family group and various needs we had. Bar facilities and staff excellent. Great pool. Excellent hotel. We would definitely book again.

Review 40:Despite the rule against reserving sun loungers, everybody did it Breakfast started and finished early 7-9 v limited on street parking, had to pay for parking

Review 41:Nice location Professional staff Bar by pool

Review 42:The food was a little bland for my taste, and you were expected to eat your dessert with a teaspoon! (although there was some spare cutlery if needed) Also our room was a bit dated, clean but somewhat old fashioned.

Review 43:Perfect location! Right on the fabulous beach. All the public area's were spotlessly clean, the staff were all really friendly and helpful and the bar tariff was comparable with the many bars and restaurants around the bay.

Review 44:Good selection at breakfast but no strong coffee. Dinner served too early for us, especially when in Spain!

Review 45:Location, terrace looking out to sea, pool, cleanliness, helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing. Private and very convenient parking space even though a cost.

Review 46:Our room was spacious and comfortable with a sea view from the balcony. The pool and bar area was very relaxing and well maintained and the staff were exellent. Port de Soller is picturesque with plenty of restaurants and a beach, with easy access to Soller by tram.

Review 47:The bacon could have been crispier. Sorry I am just nit picking||

Review 48:The breakfasts were more than adequate. The maid service to our room was excellent. What a treat not to have to make the beds. Clean towels everyday. Courteous staff. Lovely pool.

Review 49:The welcome extended on arrival was excellent. Cecilia is such a delight she went above and beyond to find a suitable room for my mother who was travelling with us after recovering from a long illness. She ensured that she would be comfortable and happy with all the facilities and really showed concern and kindness. There had been some refurbishments since our last visit in less than a year and the improvement was immense, although to be fair it was already top notch. The food is excellent with a wide range of freshly cooked food to suit all tastes and the waiting staff cannot do enough and always welcome you with a smile. The pool area is clean and well laid out with plenty of beds and parasols and the bar staff are eager to please. Of course the view from the pool is stunning, so lovely to glance over and see the wonderful beach and port and of course the tram as it makes its way up to Soller. We love this place and have already booked to return in September. Cant wait!!!

Review 50:Almost a German enclave - not another Brit in sight! Pillows need chucking, hotel needs to invest in softer ones.

Review 51:The Eden is perfectly situated for the shops/cafes and bars in the beautiful bay of Soller. The rooms (ours being 408) were perfectly spacious and the terrace ideal for the mid to late evening sun.

Review 52:Serious lack of any kind of welcome, no inquiry about e.g. how was your journey. The reception staff let this place down badly, very poor - they give the impression that guests are a nuisance and somehow disturbing them - not civil, no conversation. German centric dominance, complete lack of notices in any of French, English, Dutch, Italian Spanish, only German everywhere. The German guests are very loud and intrusive especially at the poolside

Review 53:The chef cooked lovely food The night porter was courteous and helpful Maitre De in restaurant was very nice and she was most helpful The room was nice, lovely views with balcony

Review 54:There was nothing to dislike about the Eden.

Review 55:Perfect location in a charming resort especially if you enjoy walking (the reason we chose Soller) with time by the pool or on the beach. Helpful staff. Good choice of bars & restaurants in the town.

Review 56:Air con was set too high so we couldnt get the room cool and had to sleep with the patio door open. food wasnt hot.

Review 57:great location. helpful reception staff

Review 58:Room was dated in appearance. Breakfast was horrible. Lots of choice in the buffet and it looked good but the quality of food was terrible. Ham and cheese selection was cheap and rubbery. Fried eggs were always cold even if freshly put out. Orange juice was just a dilute squash. Save some money and don't get breakfast included. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 59:Location was excellent near to some great places to eat and right on the beach. Pool was small but clean and lots of sunbeds. Balcony overlooking beach was great but very small only got an upgrade as there was an issue with out room on the night we wanted to check in. Free wifi in the room and although there was a sign saying fridge is charged for we were not - maybe this is a change in policy.

Review 60:NOTHING REALLY. WE'VE BEEN BEFORE AND IT IS AS GOOD AS IT WAS THEN.

Review 61:GENERALLY FOR A THREE STAR HOTEL IT IS VERY GOOD. THE OUTSIDE AREA OVERLOOKING THE BAY IS VERY GOOD.

Review 62:Room was a good size for three of us (beds comfy and plenty of storage) but large cracks in ceiling plaster, air conditioning vents were dusty & decor is dated. Balcony handrail was wobbly (wouldn't have let my children on balcony if they were younger)

Review 63:Hotel location is superb, we arrived early morning and the room was available quickly. Breakfast (& restaurant staff) excellent. Great views from room and balcony. Friendly staff. Bathroom was good size.

Review 64:The only negative was our room needed updating.

Review 65:Had a lovely relaxing time with a group of friends. Hotel location was excellent. Rooms were a little dated, but very clean. I recommend upgrading to a room with a pool view. We only had breakfast at the hotel which had a good choice and was very good. Port Soller is a really lovely resort, highly recommended.

Review 66:Why can't the Spanish produce a decent breakfast cereal? Room decoration needs refreshing. One pretty stuck-up receptionist.

Review 67:Room balcony on floor 7 overlooking the pool, sea and harbour for evening G&Ts. Great location for using the local, very effficient, transport system. The food was plentiful and varied with plenty of fish; always something tasty available. Very little sunbed hogging. Wide variety of nationalities staying there.

Review 68:Rooms extremely dated. Poor view overlooking a yard Minimum facilities in the room Noisy air con Noisy wake ups, where the cleaner bangs on the door at 8am to clean No free parking facility Poor toiletries Early breakfast end at 10am on Sunday

Review 69:Very close to the port of soller

Review 70:The air conditioning did not work satisfactorily, the room was, at times, unbearably hot. A member of staff visited the room but nothing happened in the 4.5 days we were there. I am also afraid that a couple of the staff knew nothing of customer service and obviously did not want to be at work, almost verging on being rude. The evening entertainment was also pretty awful!

Review 71:I loved the location, the hotel was very clean and the majority of the staff very pleasant.

Review 72:7th floor with wobbly balcony rail with cracked cement. spent the last night at the generoso just down the road. which was much much better and cheaper!!!!!

Review 73:Too few sun loungers , entertainment wasn't great.

Review 74:Being so close to the sea , seaview from our room on the 7th floor, breakfast buffet, feeling of relaxation and well being from moment we arrived .

Review 75:Air con didn't work effectively ... Was fixed at 21.5 and was better in area with couch than bedroom area. Buffet breakfast was repetitive but good choice.

Review 76:Excellent staff, very clean. Dining room spotless as are all public areas. Amazing location, a few steps to beach. Calm waters with beautiful views of mountains. Ask for a sea view .

Review 77:First arrived, got a side room with view of brick wall. Balcony was so small could not get a table on it. My husband called it a Ledge!! Complained and was moved 24 hours later.

Review 78:The area, is lovely and the Hotel is situated right in the middle of the Marina.

Review 79:Air conditioning will only set to 21c which is crazy.

Review 80:Excellent location with fantastic views from front of hotel. Decent pool area and a only a few paces to a lovely beach.

Review 81:There could have been a few organised trips available. This is a very historical area with lots of fine gardens and beautiful scenery.

Review 82:Rooms were very spacious, and the balcony, which had a good view of the mountains, was a lovely place to sit in the evenings. New swimming pool and patio was very attractive. Breakfast had a decent choice of hot and cold dishes.

Review 83:Expensive 3 star hotel that needs updating. Disgrace to asks guests to pay additional costs for fridge (3 euro a day) towels (1.50 euro for a day) and a map of Palma cost 1 euro. No tea making facility in hotel rooms either. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Review 84:Excellent location in the port

Review 85:Water in shower seeped on to bathroom floor

Review 86:Large choices in breakfast but not that good.

Review 87:Amazing view from the pool where you can have a drink. Very friendly personel

Review 88:cleanliness, view, staff

Review 89:Hotel bathrooms need updating

Review 90:Location excellent, rooms clean and comfortable

Review 91:Rooms a bit tired

Review 92:Location perfect in front of the beach and local shops. Pool viewing the sea. Happy and casual vibe.

Review 93:Wifi unobtainable , always busy and unable to log on throughout my stay.

Review 94:Location superb, loved the food, had a very relaxing stay,

Review 95:Air con not great

Review 96:Close to the beach shops

Review 97:Great position! Staff really good.

Review 99:location excellent view from room excellent

Review 100:Nothing serious.

Review 101:A really good hotel! Excellent staff, location and food. Worth getting a superior room with sea-view and half-board.

Review 102:Friendliness of staff
