Reviews for Cèsar

Review 1:Room was a little stuffy. We parked outside the hotel but it may be a bit trickier at peak season.

Review 2:This hotel has soul and character. It shows that it has been in family ownership for a long time. The food was good. I would also recommend the (lunchtime only) hotel just up the road.

Review 3:The floor was not cleaned long ago, hair in the bathroom under the mirror. Leaking tap and toilet bowl - for that price these things must be fixed, not broken and loose.

Review 4:The ambience and retro style of the whole building

Review 5:Breakfast should be booked the day before but the hotel staff did not told us that when we arrived. On the morning, we had to negociate for 20 minutes to get a breakfast !

Review 6:Well situated (close to Bar Zéro which is cool as Bar Uno, Dos and Tres are - walking distance from the hotel), clean room, nice patio with a small pool and quiet place.

Review 7:A family owned hotel with real character and charm. Beautiful to look at, comfortable to stay in. Nice little restaurant, and a tiny pool just big enough to cool off in if you've been sun-bathing.

Review 8:When flying back from Barcelona we prefer to arrive the evening before the flight and stay in VilaNova. Much nicer than staying in a hotel near the airport. If arriving late in the day we stay over in VilaNova before driving onward. Nice restaurants, right by the sea, a relaxing take off point. This hotel is especially nice.

Review 9:Quiet getaway location. Holiday feeling in the room decoration.

Review 10:Lovely staff, working hard to make you feel comfortable and at home. An attractive and historical property. Thanks

Review 11:Wonderful service, friendly and helpful staff. Very relaxing and delicious food

Review 12:Nothing to important enough to mention.

Review 13:Clean beds and bathroom extremely helpful and smiley staff. Lovely location . Quirky, bo Ho style.

Review 14:wonderful and correct hotel in a perfect location!

Review 15:location fantastic and easy to park car. hotel smelt amazing, fresh and clean

Review 16:2 single beds instead of double bed

Review 17:the location! 2 min walk to beach! the general relaxed feel/mood of the hotel the friendly staff

Review 18:Good location and helpful staff

Review 19:Desk staff very helpful. English speaking. Enjoyed our stay. Good breakfast.

Review 20:Friendly staff

Review 21:No private parking

Review 22:Very homely and intimate atmosphere

Review 23:No complaints!

Review 24:Very close to the beach. Hotel has good facilities and a nice courtyard with sofas, tables & chairs, sun loungers and a jacuzzi/small pool. The double bed in our room was huge and very comfortable

Review 25:Not so much 'not like' but a few pointers. The wifi is free but didn't cover the hotel so we had to sit in the courtyard to get a connection but with a drink in your hand was that a problem? Our room was for 5 and appears to have been a one bed apartment at one time - it seemed a bit odd but not an issue

Review 26:This was our last stop on a road trip before Barcelona. We loved this charming hotel. It was big enough to have reasonable basic facilities but small enough to be friendly. We loved the decor, the books, family photos, etc. The pool is tiny but the boys just wouldn't get out, they loved it. Admittedly this was an Easter public holiday, it was quiet and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The hotel is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Parking is on the street, so you might struggle to find somewhere but it is safe. The staff were very helpful, a reflection of it being a family business perhaps. But the best secret of all is the roof top terrace, a little neglected, but what a view! We'd come back again

Review 27:I suppose compared to some other hotels for the same price it seemed a bit "old fashioned" but it was clean and comfortable.

Review 28:The staff were friendly. The decor was adequate. We did not take advantage of the pool but it looked fine.

Review 29:Inside public areas have a 'shabby chic' feeling; in need of a little TLC. Public toilet in need of minor repairs [one no light, other no lock] and generally more regular tidy-up.

Review 30:The outside area is very pleasant for relaxing; also we enjoyed the variety of tea infusions. Rooms pleasant, clean, good value.

Review 31:The only thing which wasn't good was the extra bed for our 12-year old daughter. The bed was not long enough. More suitable for children untill 8 years old. I askes the hotel if they have bigger extra beds but they only have them if you order a suite. That is a shame if you don't want to rent the more expensive suite. This would be the only reason not to come back because next year she would really be much to tall for the bed.

Review 32:Hotel was simple, no fancy design but very nice and very clean and comfortable. Nice staff and good facilities and very close to the beach and restaurants!!

Review 33:Hotel was a little run down the lift doors in particular were shabby and uin need of painting There was a dirty empty mini bar in the room The breakfasy layout was all over the place cutlery one place ,coldmeats another the breakfast room was large and bleak with bare wooden tables without table settings the waitress was dismissive and unhelpful

Review 34:location was very good reception staff were efficient and helpful overall mood was relaxed

Review 35:There was nothing to dislike!!!

Review 36:The Cesar is a really lovely hotel and we've already booked to stay again. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Our room was totally lovely, huge comfortable bed, fantastic power shower, stylish design, immaculately clean. The low-key theme of 'hotel of dreams' is inspiring; you feel as though you're staying in someone's villa and you feel connected with the history of the house as well as the town. Vilanova i la Geltru is fast becoming one of my favourite towns. It's better than Barcelona in my opinion because it's less hurried and rushed and VilG's beaches are brilliant. The Cesar is a top-class hotel, in a superb location, paces from many excellent restaurants. It's more like a 4-star than a 3! I can't recommend it highly enough.

Review 37:can't fault anything

Review 38:Hotel was lovely and clean, lovely staff and near the beach

Review 39:Nice friendly small hotel, located to close to the beach.

Review 40:Excellent location in front of the beach

Review 41:Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Value for money.

Review 42:Fab hotel. We have stayed there before and will stay there again. Great staff, lovely feel to the place.
