Reviews for Landgasthof Heizmannshof
Review 1:No reflection on the staff because they were very accommodating, but to my shame, I speak no German and no one I met at the hotel spoke English. You're in the country with strong "farm" smells, to be delicate.
Review 2:The room was on two levels, a lounge like area with a nice table for games, a t.v., couch and chair with an attached bedroom for a third guest. Nice bathroom and spacious bedroom upstairs. Country setting. Very good breakfast included in price.
Review 3:No restaurant. Tired sofa in room (hotel does allow dogs) No inside lounge are to sit in an evening.
Review 4:Location. Large rooms. Generous veranda with loungers.
Review 5:The bad was uncoftable. There are no covers for the windows to prevent from the light to go in.no aircondition.
Review 6:The appartment was huge. Nice people. Great location.
Review 7:nothing
Review 8:Thanks to the wonderful hosts Gunter, Sabine and Karmen for a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. The hotel is very quiet, clean and beautiful, with very big rooms. From the hotel is the magnificent view of the Black Forest. 5 minutes’ drive to the town of Titisee. Our best regards Grinberg and Knyazhansky families from Israel Grinberg family from Berlin
Review 9:Carpet was a little tired.
Review 10:Nice place for the money. SchwartWald card made this a really good value. Nice cat and bird! Perfect location for the bus to Feldburg.
Review 11:Very unfriendly welcome. I felt like my first day in the army. There is no elevator and the stuff refused to help with the luggage. The rooms and the whole hotel need a refurbishment. But the worst was he invoiced four times the tourist tax, but we where only three. After I complained I got only half of the overpaid amount. back.
Review 12:Very spacy rooms.
Review 13:Staff was unfriendly and treated guests as if the guests were an imposition and the staff was doing them a favor by allowing them to stay. On checkout, we had to wait nearly an hour to get a receipt, because the Oma couldn't do it and had to call for someone else to come to do it, then was rude to us about it. Even though we had to pay the resort tax (Kurtax), they refused to allow us to keep the card for the last day (despite paying for it), so we couldn't use it and ended up then paying more than we should have at attractions in the area. Restaurant closed early in the evening and we constantly had to ask for items in the breakfast buffet, which was only average quality, to be replenished; sometimes they weren't. Location is far from the lake and the town; nothing to do within walking distance or on site.
Review 14:Room was spacious and had a refrigerator available. Traditional furnishings.
Review 15:It would be better if will be a teapot in the room, since we have small children and need to go two floors at the other side of the building to ask hot water for child's milk
Review 16:Big and clean rooms, friendly staff.
Review 17:We were three adults, we requested non-smoking room for three nights. We got a smoking room with very strong smell of cigarettes. The first night we could not sleep and could not breathe because of the smell of cigarettes in the room. In the morning we asked to change us the room for non-smoking . We waited over an hour for an answer instead of going for a walk, and finaly we were told that no rooms available and if we want to, we can leave the hotel.

Review 19:Nothing. Everything was perfect: views of Black Forest hills, yummy cordon bleu & pork roast w/German noodles, cozy room & flowers on terrace,English assistance with our basic German, etc.
Review 20:Proprietors Gunter & Sabine welcomed us into their guesthouse as if family. Very special memories of our delicious meals, fellowship, & photos with their St.Bernard! Highly recommended for a relaxing haven within walking distance to town w/tourist office & a close drive to local villages & hiking trails in the Black Forest!
