Reviews for Daniel Graz - Urban Stay - Smart Luxury

Review 1:Everything was ok.

Review 2:We stayed just for one night so what we wanted and get was warm an clean, nice and spacious room with good bed. Since the City centre is 20 min Walking distance, we were too tired to go.

Review 3:The hotel is only 10 min by walking from the old city (really good location). We parked our car in the backyard of the hotel and had to pay additional 12 eur (I did not know we would have to pay extra money for it, but 12 eur is an ok price) . The room had modern and design furnitures and really had all you can need (we loved it). The room was also really clean! The staff was friendly and could help with the questions we had. Overall we were really happy with this accommodation!

Review 4:Very hot room and no iron available when we needed it- it was always 'in somebody else's room'

Review 5:Walking distance to town centre, dinner plate shower and comfy bed

Review 6:rooms very small & loud (close to train station) breakfast was good, but too many people (lots of external people who just came for breakfast on sunday morning) --> everything was run out very quickly - even plates and glasses, etc. - this made it very stressful

Review 7:Very stylish rooms, nice staff

Review 8:Breakfast buffet has been the same all the times we have stayed - could do with some variation. It would be nice to receive more tourist information in rooms. Did not see any special deals linking hotel with restaurants, theaters, pubs, shops in Graz.

Review 9:Very cool design everywhere in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast buffet in a nice atmosphere. Check out at 12.00 means you can enjoy a relaxing breakfast and laze around.

Review 10:Although the location was next to the train station and tram stop, the square around the hotel is dangerous to walk at night. Also the breakfast was too expensive (12€ per person per night). In addition,at the description of the hotel it says that the distance from the city center is 10 minutes but it doesn't clarify that it is 10 minutes by tram and 20 minutes by walking.

Review 11:The atmosphere of the room and the comfort of the bed.

Review 12:Since it is located on high traffic street it is a bit noisy and it is impossible to leave window open. The receptionist was a bit unpolite.

Review 13:We first visited Daniel in Vienna that was amazing experience, therefore it was easy decision to book a room in Daniel Graz once we were passing by. From the outside it is not like the one in Vienna but it has its charm. We had loggia room that was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and variety was amazing. Daniel is true experience.

Review 14:Only one thing - lack of a minibar made it difficult in hot weather and to keep eyedrops cool. Staff helpfully offered to keep eyedrops in their own fridge in kitchen.

Review 15:Great location near railway station but a bit of a walk to the main centre of town. Unusual hotel proud to be different.

Review 16:AC did not work - not even for 2nd night; difficult to open window, which was needed due to missing AC; some room details required repair;

Review 17:location, bed quality, style, vespa rent opportunity

Review 18:My room was very warm and the air conditioning not very effective.

Review 19:Excellent location adjacent to the station. Modern and very clean. The breakfast was superb.

Review 20:It is overhyped. Small rooms. Basin in room and not in bathroom I do not like being told on every signpost that you should not steal things.

Review 21:It is bright. Modern look and feel. Good breakfast. Mostly nice staff.

Review 22:The room is a little small for two. We have two big suitcase and need to repack them in the room. It is a little hard when I did this.

Review 23:Very close to the train station. Quiet and safe.

Review 24:there was a little mold in the shower, but that´s always hard to fight in hotels. also the bathroom organisation might be a bit odd for non-couples :)

Review 25:excellent location, everybody was friendly, the room was huge for a "Smart room" - had smart rooms that were half the size.breakfast was worth the price. generally a great concept! would stay again

Review 26:I had booked the parking and when I arrived they told me that it was full so I had to park the car in a public and expensive parking farther. The building is very old although it was renovated it had a little smell of humidity You have to walk more than 20 minutes to arrive to the city centre and the neiborghood is a little bit rough

Review 27:Wi-Fi

Review 28:Misunderstood luxury with unfriendly and partly hostile staff. Rooms on4th floor without cold water, extremely small and carpeted directly onan uneven beton floor. Very noisy between rooms. No refrigerator, noglasses, no information. The worst is that the hotel add charges notmentioned in the booking agreement and manipulates client agreement. They also charge credit cards for guarantee. I will never ever return tothis hotel.

Review 29:Comfortable bed. Parking in garage. Ok Wifi.

Review 30:I would like to have bigger pillow or two pillows. My parking reservation was forgotten so I needed to prove that I have reservation. Luckily situation is satisfactory solved.

Review 31:Always same standard - clean and good value for money!

Review 32:The location is superb, by the river and next to the older (and nicer) parts of the city. The hotel has paid a lot attention to details with many creative ideas. The bathtub in the middle of the family room was beautiful and a cool feature.

Review 33:A tasteful a to z. Everything is in sync. Super tidy. Great for young couples (shower has a glass wall ;)). Location could not be better. Everything is within 5-10minutes by foot.

Review 34:The hotel is a modern, business hotel and is great for early train travel. The walk into the old part of the city is about 15 minutes and through a more run down part of the city. The city was interesting to see if you have an afternoon in Graz.

Review 35:This hotel is a nice place to stay. It has a very good location when travelling by train or arriving late from the airport and walking distance from the city centre (also good tram connection to the city centre).

Review 36:Upon arrival (late at night, tired from the long journey) I had to wait for quite a long time before someone was ready to check me in because the receptionist was also the bartender and she wanted to finish the drinks for the other guests.

Review 37:The style was very cool and I really felt at home. The electro-bike I rented was great! The rooms were wonderful and the wifi was fast.

Review 38:- the "king-size-bed" consists of 2 single beds that are put together - the quality of the breakfast was very good but also quite expensive and crowded

Review 39:+ location near to the train station and several tramway lines + very nice staff + quiet room with nice view (loggia category)

Review 40:Beds are really hard and there is only one pillow. Breakfast is expensive and price is even 2 euros biger if you don't book it in advance.

Review 41:Excelent location, clean roomes, good parking.

Review 42:Really hard mattress and rubbish pillows. Not that near centre of Graz.

Review 43:Very clean, friendly staff, excellent shower, good wifi, free public parking until 9am, right near train station

Review 44:if you travel for business, or if you have a bit more stuff with you, you would probably appreciate a wardrobe in the room

Review 45:Friendly staff, casual atmosphere, interesting design

Review 46:ENGLISH - glass between the room and the shower - mildew in the shower - feather pillow MAGYAR - üveg a szoba és a zuhanyzó között - penész a zuhanyzóban - tollpárna

Review 47:ENGLISH - perfect location - comfortable bed - quiet room MAGYAR - tökéletes elhelyezkedés - kényelmes ágy - csendes szoba

Review 48:We were staying at this hotel for the second time, which already shows that we were satisfied with it. Nice design, clean, comfortable, not too far from the city centre, and conveniently close to train (and bus) station.

Review 49:This is a tiny thing, but... I will never ever undrstand why they have ceramics vases instead of proper drinking glasses in this hotel. Proper drinking glasses would be so much more practical.

Review 50:This is a nice hotel, where I always sleep very well. They also have nice breakfast.

Review 51:This hotel's marketing is so cool - but reality is a bit different. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is inside the room , so not much room for intimacy. That was really disturbing.

Review 52:The staff behavior don't correspond to a cool hotel. I had an Internet issue, wifi didn't work. I can understand that, but my feeling was that they didn't mind. On the other hand, I asked for leaving my room at 12.15, just 15' later... the front desk guy asked me 15 euros. How can they describe themself "cool" place when I just found "cold" answers?

Review 53:I liked the shower with lets gives you a good view of your room while showering, as I stayed by myself. I am not sure I would like it that much if I shared the room!

Review 54:If you arrive by train, the location of hotel Daniel is ideal since it is located next to the main station. You can either walk to the city centre or use public transport (buses and trams) directly in front of the station. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is amazing!

Review 55:The layout of the room for the toilet and bathroom were not particularly practical The sink was too fierce, when switched on it came out of the bowl and leaked onto the shelves below. Some of my belongings being stored there got wet. Not a lot of storage space

Review 56:Excellent location, right next to the main train station. Just walk 10 mins or hop on the tram and you are in the centre Quiet nights sleep despite facing the front.

Review 57:We were there in October, the temperature in the room was a bit low, I mean it was cold. Only the air conditioning unit worked and has not provided enough heat. Also it was noisy during the night.

Review 58:Easy parking, excellent location, style of the hotel, breakfast

Review 59:For a longer staying this hotel might be a bit too simple (no minibar, shortage of storage for your clothes). I haven't never ever undrestood, why they have ceramics 'vase' instead of proper drinking glass. These 'vases' are NOT very handy to use.

Review 60:This is a nice place to stay! I always sleep here very well. It's lcation is perfect when you are travelling by train. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend trip or for some night. For a longer staying it might be a bit too simple (no minibar, shortage of storage).

Review 61:I don't really have anything to not like. We were a little disappointed because we have stayed in Hotel Daniel Vienna which we really liked; bigger room, park views, restaurant, great conversion of the building into a hotel…costs more though:)

Review 62:We took part in the Graz Marathon so the walk into town (20-30 mins) was a good warm up/down.

Review 63:Everithing is simple - no glass in the room for example. Tap in the bedroom. Not very tide. Awful smell in the corridors. Was not able to find a temporary parking near the hotel to check in. Place before the entrance was marked with signs "Don't even think to park here"

Review 64:Great place to stay if you have an early train. Rooms kinda small. Design of the hotel is nice.

Review 65:A minifridge would be useful.

Review 66:It's a fully renovated hotel with modern furniture and equipments. The room is small but practical. The breakfast was more than enough, delicious and fresh. The staff was Very good quality from a 3 star hotel.

Review 67:The bathroom didn't have a door.

Review 68:Nice room and it looked it was recently renovated. Next to the train station but you need to either take a tram which is right at the exit to go the city centre or walk around 20mins

Review 69:Noisy at night due to,local traffic , however closed doors & A/c solve this problem . Bed very firm, if you suffer from backache. This will suit you .

Review 70:Very convenient both to Hofbahnhof & tram network Easy access to the city Very clean & comfortable Good value breakfast for €11pp

Review 71:Hotel parking is very small, but outside if you are lucky maybe find a place for parking because it is free of charge after 8.00 PM. Internet in room is slow. Very close to train station, so there are a lot of wired people.

Review 72:Room size is ok, very good accesorized, clean, comfortable bed. Staff speaks english well and is very friendly.A lot of shops, dining places sorroundings.

Review 73:The bedroom design is nonsensical, the sole purpose seems to be to be "different" but none of it works. There is nowhere sensible to sit, or to do e-mails. Only the WC or the shower can be closed at a time with the hand basin in the room - so any night visit to the loo inevitable waked anyone sleeping. To what advantage? None. Its the nearby Ibis for me next time.

Review 74:Location close to station

Review 75:Situated quite to Graz city, 20min walk.

Review 76:Short distance walk (~3min) to Graz train & bus station. Convinient for traveler with big luggage. Near to Spark market.

Review 77:In room 101 the washbasin and the bed is in the same room. Either the toilet or the shower room can be locked Shower room has a glass window facing the bedroom...

Review 78:Staff VERY friendly & helpful, speak English Breakfast OK

Review 79:One sliding door for shower and toilet (not very convenient) plus not sound proof. I liked the glass shower wall, but I think hotel is not really convenient for those who travel as separates and live in one room.

Review 80:Great personnel, unusual concept (I loved the "youth" attitude)

Review 81:No Wi Fi connection. Staff tried to help but gave up.No hot water then no water at all. Reception didn't seem initially bothered as hot water was available elsewhere. Had to change rooms which was arranged quickly although not such a good room. Initially no apology and no offer of anything for inconvenience ie free coffee/drink. Hotel 20 minute walk into town not 10 as stated.

Review 82:Hotel is right next to the station which may be convenient. Internally very presentable.

Review 83:No air conditioning for 5 day, in August. No closet, flat pillow, hardly any parking space. Multi-color Hotel, looks cheap.

Review 84:Close to train station, reasonably priced.

Review 85:Been there several times. Each time seems like things there gets older and older (bit dirty, worn out, could not fixate shower faucet...) :(

Review 86:Convenient location (next to train station) Fine breakfast Friendly personnel

Review 87:Nothing

Review 88:Excellent location Values for money Causal room

Review 89:No breakfast and parking lot included.

Review 90:Clean and comfortable!

Review 91:pillow and small quilt

Review 92:next to train station, design the room

Review 93:The design of the bathroom.

Review 94:The hotel was clean and it has relatively good location. The staff was very kind.

Review 95:Perfect hotel for a stay in Graz. Stylish, fantastic shower, comfy bed and great breakfast!

Review 96:little bit not kindly reception in day time

Review 97:nice place, good trafic connection, sweet room, not bad food

Review 98:book with a balcony is the best option, breakfast is wonderful!

Review 99:Daniel in Vienna is much better.

Review 100:Room layout, clean bright rooms, breakfast is great, 10 minutes walk to the city center.

Review 101:Very near to the central train station & several city tram/bus lines. Our room was very nice and bright.

Review 102:Modern and clean. Close to train station but quiet and convenient.

Review 103:The bathroom was amazing! The shower was wonderful!

Review 104:Proximity to rail and tram station is very convenient. Staff helpfulness and friendliness was very good.

Review 105:Near to train station.

Review 106:No slippers offered but it's not big deal

Review 107:good location for train travelers and nice buffet breakfast

Review 108:I did not like the pillow.

Review 109:I loved the approach of the staff and the place as it was, very nicely done and easy to find.

Review 110:Central location in Graz, with private parking; rooms are small though

Review 111:Before you back hotel , you can buy a lot of food & drinks in Spar (inside Graz station) I love it!

Review 112:Nothing.

Review 113:Everything. Smart and luxurious room with an innovative ideas like the shower!

Review 114:Quiet and spacious room

Review 115:extra a bit expensive

Review 116:clean and designed room

Review 117:Pillows

Review 118:Good location, big bathroom, excellent breakfast, parking in front of the hotel

Review 119:Value for money , a bit expensive.

Review 120:Location , just next to the main station. City centre in walking distance and plenty of trams all the time

Review 121:Perfect as always!

Review 122:People around hotel and bahnhof disturbing customers

Review 123:Great location next to the train station but a bit of a walk to the old town area.

Review 125:We loved it all. Clean, friendly, helpful and very reasonable

Review 126:Location right next to station, modern and clean interior, wifi speed
