Review 1：- Room (nr.18) really needs an upgrade. (the bathroom was already done beautifully) - In the room we almost constantly heard a irritating noise of some kind of machine or ventilating system. - In the hallways it smelled strongly like a Chinese restaurant.

Review 3：Room is so small compared to its bathroom,room is very primitive ,not even a waste basket in the room,no paper tissue box in the room nor in the bathroom,no shower cap in the bathroom,no shower gel,no shampoo( only liquid soap) bottle that you use it for everything ,breakfast is very humble,one type of cheese that is available ! As -non ham consumers-for 100€ / night room BB I expected at least a decent clean room with clean towels& an average breakfast.

Review 9：The hotel is located in the centre of Titisee, between the station and the lake. It looks very pretty from the outside although the decor is a bit of shock once you get inside. However, it was cosy nonetheless and breakfast was fine. The restaurant seemed popular with non-residents in the evening and has a nice terrace. The family who run the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. Titisee itself is a great base for visiting the Southern Black Forest.

Review 10：My car was parked in front of the hotel and I came down in the morning to find all the door handles smeared with some sort of gel that took some effort to be removed. The hotel showed little concern and put down to children and laughed it off. The staff, apart from what seemed to be the owner were rather humourless and were hard work to get information. Having eaten dinner in the restaurant I was told that this could not be added to the room bill but paid separately.

Review 17：We came to the Titisee on our honeymoon 48 years ago and it was a welcome return. The location had much more of a tourist feeling now, of which the staff, the ambience of the hotel and the quality of the evening meal made us feel a part within being tourists.

Review 20：Seemed a bit worn and over-used. Did not appreciate rude waiter at breakfast. Apparently we sat down in an area that was being prepared for lunch. No one was around when we arrived, so we sat at a clean table. After we started eating, waiter appeared and told us to move... No explanation or offer to help. Maid service only works until 11 am. We used same towels for a couple of days... Also no soap. Bring your own.

Lack of complimentary toiletries or mineral water, as this hotel was more expensive than the 4star hotel we sayed in at Baden Baden which also had a spa and pool, were disappointed. The restaurant was good, evening meal was very nice, but as it is managed seperately from the hotel we were unable to charge this to our room.

We were locked out of thehotel at 11.20 P.M..We pushed the front door bell many times,knocked atthe front door,windows and door,windows of the owners residence severaltimes for the next two hours but nobody responded. Two neighbors of thehotel called on fixed phone and mobile many times but nobodyresponded.The front door was opened in the morning at around 7.00 A.M..

Review 94：Not enough car parking. Car park was full when we arrived and we were told to go park at the railway station! We have a very vulnerable soft top sports car which is why we booked this hotel - it advertises car parking. We parked in front of the hotel garages and if they'd complained we would have left.
