Review 1：I thought the food could step up a level but it was what you would expect for the price paid. Maybe up the charges a bit to get the quality up.

While away from the hustle & bustle of the city center lots of great restaurants are just a short walk away. The room was quite spacious, with a neat little terrace and nice vintage furniture. Review 39：The room wasn't very clean, the shower was old and not very clean either. The hotel bar was just shabby, as was the majority of common spaces. The staff expected me to speak German and only some had any command of English. This hotel badly needs a complete refurbishment. There's potential there, but everything is just old and dusty. Not going to go back there.

Review 41：We booked 2 nights a week apart, at the start and end of our week in Tenerife. These nights were booked at least one month in advance. Our first night was fine, but when we arrived at 3pm on our last day, the receptionist told us they did not have a room for us due to a problem with the hotel 'pipes' and that 'there was a hole in the wall of our room'. We were left to find another hotel that night at extremely short notice on the internet. I wouldn't book this hotel again for this reason. They must have known about this problem at least 24 hours in advance but did not seem to think they even had any responsibility to inform me in advance by email, or give us any kind of compensation.

Review 111：The location was excellent and the main reason I booked this hotel. Iwent there to kitesurf and the hotel is directly on the beach withaccess via a private door from the locker room. The staff were friendlyand helpful and the food was very good. I was there in Early May and itwas very quiet but I had a great time kiting and consider this hotel andthe meals I had there to be fantastic value! If you arewindsurfing/kitesurfing its an excellent choice - I had somesessions when the forecast was not good but the wind turned out to bevery good. If I hadn't been as close to the beach as I was I mayhave missed these session.

Review 115：Something that I didn't really like: we couldn't manage with the safe to keep the valuables, we had to use it as a storage space for fruit and cookies, a small fridge would be great anyway; the floor carpeting in the room was so faded and footworn I did not dare to step on it with bare feet; no sockets to charge your gadgets (the only TV socket didn't seem to work properly); though the room was on the 1st floor, hot water in the shower didn't work really well but the water in the sink ran perfectly well; neigbour toilet flushing noises; no WiFi in rooms, free WiFi only near the pool, so everyone could hear my Skype chat. Overall impression: not value for money 98 euros for DBL (paid 60 for 3star DBL and better quality, Costa Blanca) - I think I would stay in Sur Tenerife again only if they lower the price

Review 116：This hotel is conveniently located on the edge of El Medano village near spectacular Montana Roja, we took a room with a sea view and a balcony and we were not sorry a bit (there was a magnificent mountain and ocean view from out there, you can see the sunset and welcome the dawn - looks very romantic!!!). Something that I liked about the hotel: excellent location - 5-10 min to the airport by taxi and you don't hear any planes taking off; 10 meters to the beach; the wind very strong (you can sometimes hear its howling at night), but not always, and it didn't seem to disturb much; in the room you can hear the surf pretty well even with window closed, but I personally perceived that as a bonus - really nerves calming; room servise very sweet but they don't change towels if at least one is taken to the beach; the hotel design is great, so is the front yard full of cactus varieties; breakfasts were not bad overall but the same every day (eggs and bacon)

As per the facilities I think they all needed a good maintenance. However the friendly and supportive staff made up for all those inconveniences. I want to say again that Cuco, the night porter was outstanding in all respects.

If you have a back prob then you better avoid them.Breakfast was the same every day but offered everything ones need for agood start in the morning.Perhaps to serve fresh Coffee instead of themachine one. Attention to All smokers: Smoking is not allowed not evenat the room balcony! If you ll get caught there is a 150€ penalty to bepaid and you sign for it on the check-in. I am not a smoker but Ithought to mention it here for those who do smoke.

Review 132：Great location and really kind and helpful Hotel staff. The hotel isabit "worn out" but it gives everything one might need for afew days directly at the beach (with a great option to water sports). Ipaid 60€ a night for a B&B accommodation (solo in double bed room)and I think that was a fair price to what the hotel offers. Iwouldn't pay though more than this.

Review 133：Rather old and run down hotel, with messy notice papers and "programs" all around. Seem to be inhabitet mainly by German retired turists with "Siggi's tanzmusik" program in the evenings. Breakfast was rather "interesting mass feeding experience". Wonder how reception manage, if there is more that 1 customer at a time arriving or leaving the hotel...?
