Review 1：Galera appartments is located directly at the beach and has a nice beachbar with restaurant, reception staff and staff from the bar are very friendly and helpfull. Nice view from the appartments to the beach and Corralejo and Los Lobos, We had the first very nice complety renovated and furnished appartment,

Review 2：They were constantly working on construction and renovation, disturbing our peace and preveting our baby from falling to sleep. Also, there were no water in the pool.

Review 3：Good location, short distance to town to the north and surf beaches to the south.

Review 4：Unfortunately for us, there was major reroofing work going on above the bar /kitchen area on our last 3 days. This involved major banging and drilling all morning through to late afternoon. Obviously we didn't intend staying in the room but we did intend lunch on the balcony which just couldn't be done.

Review 5：Right on the beach, we had two balconies,but unfortunately neither gets the sun at all. Plenty of eateries around us.

Review 6：The proximity to the beach was a plus for us and the location is excellent.The facilities are due for an upgrade soon yet we were happy with the existing.The staff at all levels are very helpful and we will return for certain.Maybe they could throw in a breakfast too in lieu of the upgrade!

Review 7：The rooms have good sea views but are in need of modernisation. The furniture is basic and the Kitchen units have paint flaking and need replacing. It seems that investment has been made on the new bar and the exterior of the complex, but that really leaves you disappointed with the interior of the rooms.

Kitchen lacking basic crockery, bath in very poor condition , towels and blankets need replaced, single room small and bed uncomfortable . Needs some attractive touches throughout . Patio area needs to be made more child friendly.

Review 22：The apartments are definitely very tired. In nos 5 the bath was painted with gloss paint to hide the stains and it started to peal off...my wife took a bath and was covered in paint ! The kitchen is poorly equipped. I appreciate that most people eat out a lot, as we did, but the kitchen facilities were a joke...really that bad.

Review 24：Despite having agreed that we leave at 12 and the official leave time of 11, the staff already knocked the door and started to clean the terraces at around 9:30 and didn't leave even when asked to. Nearby beach is not the best due to excessive brown seaweed cumulating in the bay. Could use some regular cleaning.

Review 26：The staff at Galera Beach were very welcoming and friendly especially Eleanor. We have to mention the lovely cleaner who was very kind and always happy and chatty. The staff in Galera beach bar were great, the bar was a highlight of our holiday especially when there was live music. Amazing! Perfect location, great atmosphere will definitely be returning and recommend this place very highly.

Review 27：Cleaning of the rooms started at 8 a.m. with extremly loud moving of furniture in th neibours room. We were there one week and the clearning of the room was good only onece. Two days our room was without clearning! And they didnt change the bed!

Review 55：There was building work at one end of the resort where they were rebuilding a small café and bar. Very noisy at times and, because of the wind, dusty and dirty on the floor tiles. There is no one on reception from midday Saturday to Monday morning and the resort appears to be very open to anyone passing by.

Review 56：Brilliant location, right on the beach and within 5 minutes walk to the centre of Town. Resort was quiet and tranquil with a small but nice swimming pool. The room was adequate but a little tired and could do with an update.

Review 59：The apartment is tired and needs a good upgrade, The general fittings , while clean, are old and need to be replaced - the bread knife could hardly cut the bread rolls, the wine glasses were more for champagne than for wine. The door to the balcony was warped and we had a constant breeze from it.

Review 60：having to pay extra for things such has the safe thirty euros, ironing board,iron, if required,20euros for late departure, plus the fact the settee was like sitting on wood extremely uncomfortable.paying for a room with a balcony but being given a room down stairs with a patio untill i complained and was moved six days later. sorry not has good as i exspected.

The bathroom Needs a proper clean, or better still new tiles. Reception closed on a Sunday. Freezing cold in the bedroom at night time. One bed was against the wall, very hard to get out of bed in the night.

No English speaking programmes on TV, not even BBC world news but we got used to it and decided it made the holiday more stress free! Wifi was free but quite weak.

Also could do with a lick of pain on the walls, as there are many evidence of 'murdered mosquitos' all over the place so it's not very nice to see.

Review 78：Stayed for 1 week 25/4-2/5 2013 retired couple - cloudy 4 days,3 days broken sun/cloud - strong wind every day! The hotel is smalland very convenient for the wonderful views over the beach and searight on the doorstep, yet a short walking distance to the mainshopping area. Our room was No.13 On the upper floor with lovely seaand beach views. The room was of a good size and had basic kitchenettewith microwave and double hob. Minimal crockery and utensils made itdifficult to prepare or cook other than simple fair. Comfy sofa andeasy chair, as well as kitchen table and chairs were included. Bathroomwas basic and tired - could do with an update especially by using aspirit level for towel rails and shelves! Towels were changed regularlyand there is a small washing line on the balcony for your swimmingthings. Reception is available until 2:00 so if you arrive after thistime, your room number is posted on the reception door and key is leftin the lock of your room for you. There is a small bar next to thebuilding with low key music during the day and access through it to thelovely sandy beach. The bar is attached to the hotel and providescomfortable seating areas on the beach and overlooking the sea. Thepool is very small and kidney shaped, unheated. However the pool areais shaded with adequate sun beds and cushions and provides someshielding from the inevitable wind here. We found the hotel was goodvalue for money, clean and tidy, in a wonderful position.
