Reviews for Apartamentos Dunas Club
Review 1:Room again was impeccable, cleanliness was 2nd to none. The staff could not be more helpful. Restaurant attached 'La Luna' is superb, staff were again fantastic.
Review 2:Thin walls - if your neighbours decide to party until late you won't be able to sleep. Free Wi-Fi is very limited and usually does not work. Cleaning service could be improved - we left cookie crumbles on the sofa and they were still there after the lady finished cleaning. The hair-dryer stops working after a few minutes and you have to wait for it to cool down before using it again. We added breakfast to the room booking and this was a huge mistake - it was sooo bad! Undercooked mushrooms, eggs made in a microwave and then chopped to make them look like scrambled, salami so bright pink you could nearly hear it shouting at you 'I am sooo full of artificial colourings!', yoghurt of a weird consistency (it looked and tasted like buttermilk with added gelatine), juice made of diluted squash, and 'runny' jam made mostly of glucose-fructose syrup. Not recommended! You can probably eat better and cheaper in the town centre. There is actually a little cafe/bakery next door where you can get freshly squeezed orange juice, baguettes and pastries.
Review 3:Very nice and helpful staff; good location - close to the main street and to the harbour; large, comfortable rooms; the check out is at 12pm, but you can continue to use the facilities for the rest of the day (swimming pool, sun beds, gym, shower). The lady working as a guard at the pool (I think her name is Marion) is absolutely amazing - very kind, friendly and chatty, she greets all the new guests and makes sure everone knows that she is there to help and advise. After one day we felt as if she was our friend for ages!
Review 4:pool being repaired during visit but these jobs need to be done. will be back again and can enjoy a swim.
Review 5:nice and quite. la luna restaurant good, really enjoyed breakfast.
Review 6:Pictures are nicer than reality. A bit far from the centre, over-priced for what it offers. Wi-fi available only for a few hours per day and in the reception. That is very old-fashioned in 2015.
Review 7:Check-in was easy, we didn't encounter a major issue during our stay. Close to the pier where you can take a boat to Lobos Osland
Review 8:Need a bit of a refurbishment in some of the apartments. The lady life guard is very bossy and you could not move any of the sun beds. Felt like I was in a prison camp.
Review 9:Great place staff very good and hotel bar and restaurant is great value for money
Review 10:The only negative was the door to the balcony, it definitely needed fixing as it wasn't secure when locked.
Review 11:The room was nice: well equipped, clean with plenty of room and there was a sea view from the balcony.
Review 12:The fact that only half of hotel round the pool is in sunlight which means all sunbeds are crammed in on one side making getting on and off them difficult
Review 13:Good accommodation and bonus of an excellent restaurant on site. Would go back.
Review 14:This is 5th time and this resort is brilliant the Staff are very friendly, the cleaners are first class, the management are very helpful. The food is good and the lifeguard Marianne is the soul of the holiday with lots of local knowledge
Review 15:Noisy traffic, no air conditioning, wifi only in main areas.
Review 16:We were given a double unit, 2 bathrooms, a proper bedroom where we could push the 2 wide and comfortable single beds together, a balcony within sound of the sea. An excellent restaurant, La Luna onsite.
Review 17:Very disappointing that the pool was out of action and the alternative poll that could be used was a long way from these apartments.
Review 18:Ideal position as I was visiting friends nearby. Pleasant staff, spacious and well-equipped apartment although I only need a bed for the night so was unable to enjoy full use of it!
Review 19:Kitchenette poor. Microwave old, lining inside had peeled off with age and hopeless to think you can cook on hobs. Corridor access to apartments carries noise. A few notices to the few inconsiderate people to be very quiet in the evenings would allow a better night's sleep. Internet access expensive at €15 per week, pricing policy could well be reviewed . Gym old with rusty equipment and no light weight dumbbells.
Review 20:Staff, absolutely wonderful. Bed comfortable and apartment spacious for 1-2 people. Lots of hot water, airer provided on balcony all making a comfortable stay.
Review 21:Would of preferred a balcony that caught the sun
Review 22:Rooms very spacious and well equipped. Good base not directly in the centre but a short stroll along the sea front.
Review 23:Free wifi available only in the lobby for 4 hours in the morning. Sofas could be renewed. Occassional traffic noise from the street - ask for a room facing the pool.
Review 24:Very friendly and helpful staff. Two bathrooms and balcons. Close to the town center but rather peaceful. Spacious apartment with many cupboards. Good beds. Adequate kitchen and kitchenware.
Review 25:Cleaning ladies sometimes when we had little siesta in the middle of day ware very noisy when were cleaning rooms on our level. They move steel chairs etc. very loud so we could not have rest/sleep. There were few ants coming to our room and eating chocolate etc.
Review 26:We came for a week holiday to Dumas Club and i must say that localisation of hotel is great. Hotel is located next to harbour and city center, there are a lot of restaurants and shops. Room that we spent week in was big with large terrace from which we saw pool. Stuff was very nice and helpful. Great thing is squash court and little gym (gym is free, court cost 4,2 euro for 0.5 h ).
Review 27:Wifi was a disgrace. Charging 15 euro for wifi that did not work. Very slow, only allowed one device be connected at a time. Was not worth 15 euro, especially when we live in an age where Wifi should be free. There was a free option but it was only available at reception at certain times of the day.
Review 28:Location was good. Only 5 min walk from the centre. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Review 29:The lack of air conditioning in the rooms should be made clearer when booking. Also, the time-restricted, free internet is poor/frustrating - most bars and resturants there have far better systems available to customers.
Review 30:Very friendly and helpful staff, good sized studio/beds and well equipped kitchen. Good value for money despite a couple of issues (no A/C & poor internet).
Review 31:Sofa is not possible to sleep on, kitchen has problems with electricity and breakfast is too weak. Complicated access with pushchair.
Review 32:The location is great and reception service is very friendly.
Review 33:We had the best experience. They gave such a beautiful room with stunning view of Lobos and Lanzarote. The apartment was clean and beds very comfortable. The property is located in an ideal position, very close to the night life of Corralejo, but still, in a quiet area, for a perfect sleep. Staff at the reception was extremely kind and helpful. I absolutely recommend Las Dunas Club.
Review 34:Despite leaving a request to clean my room on one of the days this was ignored.
Review 35:It was a sizeable room. It was close to the bus station & another bus stop. It was close to the centre.
Review 36:Very basic but as we don't spend much time in the apartment that wasn't a problem for us. Internet access very poor and intermittent
Review 37:Easy walk into the old part of town for restaurants. Friendly staff who were helpful if needed.
Review 38:Temperature in the top floor rooms is absoluately unacceptable. The roof is not isolated properly, so during the night you can not sleep-it is sauna. Room service is Ok but dont bother about dirty staff in the kitchen, Additional fee (20€) for late check out is sick. Wifi very poor, Bikes rental have only 2bikes, cost not competitive to these in VOLCANO or any other
Review 39:Very close to city centre
Review 40:Cant think of anything for us,sorry
Review 41:As we only live in Lanzarote we can just nip over to the Dunas which we do a few times a year ,the staff are always very helpful and cheerfull and try to do what they can to make your stay happy, the pool bar food is very good, the studios overlooking the sea are great and plenty of room we always feel like we have been on holiday even though its only an hour away but always come back well relaxed and happy
Review 42:I've stayed at the Dunas Club for 3 years in a row and keep on returning because the apartments are lovely, bright and clean, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. Couldn't ask for anything else when planning a relaxing week away with family - will definitely be returning next year.
Review 43:The bed didn't have good support and we needed to request extra pillows which were also quiet flat. The decor is quiet dated but the price reflects that!
Review 44:The life guard at the pool was excellent! Very friendly! Room size was good and we had a corner balcony which was also a good size. The breakfast in the restraurnt was good quality.
Review 45:None
Review 46:The staff here were excellent. Hard working & always smiling & friendly. Food in the restaurant was superb. Making my stay at the club one of the best experiences on my travels
Review 47:No air con, although large fan is provided. Corridors leading to rooms painted purple, so rather dark and gloomy.
Review 48:Spacious studio, light and bright. Good storage. Basic cooking facilities, kettle and toaster provided. Great view from sea view studios overlooking Lobos island. Sun on balcony in the morning. Close to harbour, 10 minute walk to plenty of restaurants, music square and small sandy beach. 15 minutes walk to other sandy beaches. Easy parking close to hotel if you hire a car. We had problems with our patio door opening fully, which was dealt with the same day.
Review 49:I had a squeaky bed, every time I rolled over it squeaked - not good. Also the rooms were very warm and with no fans it wasn't the best nights sleep I'd had.
Review 50:The location, the price and the facilities were ideal for most people. This is more suitable for people not wanting all the glitz of 4-5 star establishments. More of a 3 star but ticks most of the boxes.
Review 51:Trucks can be very noisy at 5:45 am passing to get on the ferry but I couldn't fault the hotel on that.
Review 52:Central location but still by the sea. Spacious apartments and nice and clean.
Review 53:beach at this end of town were not good you could only swim when tide was in because of rough ground under your feet
Review 54:hotel was quite at night pool area was clean staff very good food also good
Review 55:Fabulous room with wonderful views across to Lobos & Lanzarote. Room very large and well equipped All staff very helpful & friendly Excellent restaurant, food delicious
Review 56:In the restaurant attached, i only had one breakfast and I found the level of service to be very poor. Not only did I not get the specific meal I ordered but when it came there was a considerable delay before any cutlery arrived. i had brought this to the attention of one of the staff but there was such a delay that the food was almost cold. i appreciate they were busy, however a little bit better organisation would help.
Review 57:No supermarket near the complex, a good 20 minute walk which would be awkward for less mobile people.
Review 58:The swimming pool and area very nice, nice promenade just around the corner from the appartments, the appartment was nice and airy. The lifeguard was very friendly and helpful.
Review 59:No supermarket in close proximity but several in 10-15 minute walk. Hard going with carry the shopping though.
Review 60:Near harbour and plenty of bars but not to close.
Review 61:They gave us a side seaview room, but we paid for a full seaview room. When we told it, we gave the appropiate room.
Review 62:The view of sunrise was beautiful from the big balcony, where you can enjoy the view of the Lobos island, Lanzarote and the port of Corralejo. The long white sandy beach is just 10 minutes by car. There was always free parking in front of the hotel. Next to the center. They clean the room five times per week.
Review 63:The only negative would be that there is no aircon in the rooms but there are fans and we slept fine.
Review 64:The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was in a great location within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars.
Review 65:If I was being picky we were asked to leave the bar before 1am and closing time was 2.30am according to the brochure!
Review 66:Extremely clean and well-maintained apartments with very friendly staff. We had two young children with us and they were treated very well.
Review 67:No air conditioning in room made it very uncomfortable when sleeping at night. A table top fan was provided but wasn't great (a bit noisey when on full power). Would leave patio door open too but noise from road/street/harbour in the morning was a bit too loud.
Review 68:Location was perfect. Quiet but only 5 min walk past marina to old town. Room with sea view didn't disappoint. Food was good, staff were pleasant and helpful.
Review 69:Not wheelchair friendly as my son is in one but the staff were really helpful and the boys didn't like the pull out beds
Review 70:Bedroom and 2 bathrooms were good, nice balcony
Review 71:Internet (as usual in western europe - it is a very backward region interms of internet access) but at least in the morning it was free so itwas not that bad.
Review 72:We had a room with seaview which was amazing. Lobos and Lanzarote arejust behind your window and you can hear waves when you lie in the bed.We had halfboard which was okay, but the restaruants are very close tothe hotel so I would not recommend taking dinner for the whole stay, butone gotta try la Luna restaurant cuz its very nice.room was very clean, well equipped and the location of the hotel was jsut brilliant (1 minute from bus station, 5 minutes from old town and 1 minute from puerto). recommended for everyone, i would definetely come back !
Review 73:Room was far too hot without and air conditioning. Bathroom sometimes smelled due to drains
Review 74:lovely location. Food and staff amazing. Apartment very spacious
Review 75:Beds are so uncomfortable. Even budget hotel beds are relaxing in comparison. No Aircon, fan provided was not good. There were a lot lorries which made a lot of noise due to being right next to the port.
Review 76:Staff are very friendly. Location is ok only 10 min walk to center on town, shops and resturants. Good kitchenette facilities in room.
Review 77:Lovely pool maintained to a high standard. Supermarket 2 mins walk, larger ones 10 mins walk. Situated in quieter harbour end of resort but only 5 to 10 mins walk to shopping street. Pool rooms best as sea view gets hardly any sun and is above noisy restaurant. Other outside views are of adjacent apartment blocks and over a noisy road.
Review 78:Great location for all family - I could walk into town, go running & enjoy pool etc. My sons could kite surf easily & wash out their kites afterwards. Very relaxed feel to the place. Friendly staff Early evenings we would play squash the head on out for bite to eat - just perfect !
Review 79:There was a smell in the apartment & some areas but it went after a few days in the apartment
Review 80:The relaxed atmosphere especially around the pool which was kept immaculate & life guard on all day
Review 81:There was quite a strong smell in the bathroom. I guess coming out from the pipes. I could hardly handle that. Only neg. point.
Review 82:Nice view towards the ocean. Room was large and bright. Staff helpful and nice.
Review 83:Free internet is a bit slow. In the luxury place like this we should not pay for internet. From the other side hotel is only for sleeping. There is so much to see in Fuertaventura.
Review 84:Very nice hotel. Close to shop cheaper than city center. Very nice staff ( Oswaldo and young girl with glasses). Very clean. Quiet. Good swimming pool.
Review 85:wifi does not work in all the rooms although it's paid
Review 86:good location, friendly and helpful staff, great food in restaurant, good prices, nice rooms
Review 87:WiFi!!! Free WiFi only 0800-1200, dial up modem speed in reception, super slow. &Quot;PREMIUM" paid Internet also quite slow at €15per week or €25 for 15 days. You get free Internet at every restaurantnowadays, why not just add on a few euro's per week to the priceof the apartments for a decent Internet connection and leave the extraadd ons to Ryanair. This would then make me book this place again inthe future.
Review 88:Cleanliness and facilities
Review 89:Good location, staff very friendly and helpful.rooms good standard for the money.cleaners came in everday.changed bedding.clean towels etc.lovely pool.great for families .would definetly stay there again.had a great week .
Review 90:The only negative thing I could ssy is that the sound proofing isn't great so you can hear people up & about early in the morning!
Review 91:The hotel is in a great location beside the harbour & the old town & we preferred this part of town so it was perfect. Also made it handy for taking the bus & the ferry. The hotel is small & spotlessly clean, it is very good value for money. The restaurant at the front of the hotel was really nice& also popular with locals. The staff were so helpful & it has to be noted here that I left my new coat in the hotel & the staff (Luna in particular) went to great effort to get it back to me in Ireland. It was much appreciated!!
Review 92:Road outside balcony is having road works, car or truck passing through is very loud.
Review 93:Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, comfortable beds, no issues.
Review 94:Dunas Club is incredibly well run by a team of professional and friendly staff. Good sized apartments with comfortable beds and a regular cleaning service which we were not expecting. Perfect location for lovely local town, shops, beaches, harbour with boat trips and a fantastic selection of places to eat and drink. Highly recommended for a 3* accommodation with unexpected extras. We will be returning!
Review 95:The camp beds. We were a family of 5, two proper beds meant three people had to stay on the not very comfortable pull out beds. These beds would've fine for young kids.
Review 96:Get clean. Staff very very good. Standard of food and service in restaurant was better than all the other local restaurants but at a better price.
Review 97:Pool is really too cold to swim in despite what the hotel say. My husband enjoys swimming but he only went in once . Last time paid wifi
Review 98:Good location and lovely sea view must book though as not all the rooms have a view and need 2nd floor to get sun on the balcony Restaurant good and staff friendly. Easy to park. Stayed several times and always enjoyed it, will be back
Review 99:The apartment was really nice, very clean all the staff were so nice and helpful especially reception staff the lady in the snack bar, and the staff in restaurant were lovely and friendly, we would definitely return
Review 100:Quality of the water was not the best, bought bottled water from the supermarket across the road. (Not the hotel's fault). Would have liked some aerobic equipment in the gym.
Review 101:Perfect location for trips on and off the island. Enjoyed the relaxed and quiet nature of the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and well maintained.
Review 102:Did not get a good nights sleep because of the very noisy road. Could not use balcony because of noise and a black dust that settled on chairs and table.
Review 103:Good location. Pool area very comfortable . The reception staff very good.
Review 104:Could not fault it.
Review 105:Reception staff could not do enough to help, and staff in restaurant were fantastic, third visit already and already planning the next.
Review 106:I had to sit by the door to get paid wifi signal - but who's goes on holiday for wifi anyway? ;)
Review 107:I enjoyed the location, it was pretty near everything, bars/beach/shops The staff were super nice
Review 108:Bed was quite hard leaving us both with back pain. We got an upgrade on arrival which was great. We had a very spacious apartment with large seperate bedroom with en-suite and a balcony. Room cleaned daily. Hotel very clean and helpful staff. The wifi was €15 for the week however only one device can be used at a time which in this day and age is crazy. The wifi was also very slow. The restaurant food was not much to rave about but again staff were friendly. The hotel was in a good location. Overall a good stay.
Review 109:Saving of sunbeds in 2nd week people outing towels down then leaving for hours. Too many pigeons landing on balcony whenever sat out
Review 110:The staff were very friendly apartment cleaned 5 times a week. Quiet lace to stay no late night noise
Review 111:The cleaning staff were quite noisy in the morning in relation to rearranging the pull down beds, but were very pleasant.
Review 112:I really liked the two bathrooms in the superior room.
Review 113:The sofa beds are not really good enough for grown Adults. So be sure to book an apartment with beds.
Review 114:Good location. Clean and tidy. Quite in general. Well managed
Review 115:Lovely view from the room. Most reception staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of loungers round the pool. A bar, a pool bar and a restaurant. Near a grocery shop and the ferry.
Review 116:Wifi was very expensive nobody told us about a discount if you buy it for more days bed was quite uncomfortable
Review 117:Nice people at the reception and in the restaurant
Review 118:Free wifi limited to mornings in the café area.
Review 119:Central location, sheltered pool area, pleasant room, staff excellent. Not much dedicated parking, but lots of spaces on the road near the hotel.
Review 120:Although spotless apartments are slightly dated. Also think you need to strike lucky with apartment choice half the balconies did not get any sun at all.
Review 121:Fab sea view and great location near old harbour with bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and good food in La Luna restaurant which is part of complex.
Review 122:Bedroom quite hot and airless but luckily they provided a fan. Cooker rings barely worked.
Review 123:Close to town and all local facilities, restaurants, shops etc. Very nice staff. Good onsite restaurant and bar.
Review 124:*The choice of desserts with the evening meal were a real let down, I had ice cream once and was given a small plastic tub which was smaller than egg cup.
Review 125:Location, staff, well equipped apartment were all great. Food on the half board option was excellent (see comment on desserts).
Review 126:Pool water was very cold. Kitchen could have done with a small oven / grill but had everything else we needed. Only two English language channels (news & one with mostly movies).
Review 127:The apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. Pool view balcony, south facing so got great sunshine. Overall, very happy with the apartment and complex.
Review 128:someone kept taking our do not disturb signs off door and was being woken by cleaners.
Review 129:the staff were friendly and helpful location was great. rooms cleaned daly.i would definitly stay again. i liked that these appartments were right next to the harbour.
Review 130:only problem I can imagine here is that for people with small children there is only a pool, no play area for them to enjoy.
Review 131:the hotel is totally fine for our needs, its a short distance from the many bars and shops, it also has its own pub showing sky sports and Laluna serves good food, pool area has a bar and cafe.
Review 132:free wifi was only from 8 til 12 in morning
Review 133:helpful staff with strong room for bikes. nice pool. thought corralejo was very pleasant - nice seafront. wish we had had nights ther, not one.
Review 134:Everything was perfect except that free Wi-Fi was only in the mornings.
Review 135:Good location, close to the market, bus station, harbor and city center. Good atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, nice room with the kitchen where you can cook meal.
Review 136:If I was going to be picky one of the older male night staff whom I had to ask twice if he could ask the younger staff in the bar area to lower the loud music. He didn't seem very approachable and wasn't happy to oblige. He would be more suited to security work. More training needed maybe and a smile. He let the rest of the excellent polite staff down.
Review 137:The apartment was clean basic but smart and value for money. Great location within walking distance of beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants serving very good fresh seafood. The staff were excellent on the whole.
