Review 1：Restaurant seems to be more oriented towards half board clients than occasional diners.

Review 2：Nice, quiet location in the forest very close to the Externsteine.

Review 3：WiFi connection was a bit slow and signal could be better. Else the hotel was perfect for me.

Review 4：Cosy hotel, very nice staff, perfectly located when you're looking for a quiet hide-out. From here it's only a 2km hike to the Externsteine. A must see! Free parking, nice restaurant and very large breakfast buffet.

Review 5：No younger guests. Most were elderly but I guess that is because the hotel offers so much for the older person.

Had 2 evening meals at hotel and they were delicious. True German cuisine. Location very very peaceful.

Review 11：Parking appeared a little limited but as we had a motorbike we had no issues. We were plagued with wasps if we ate outside - but the hotel cannot be blamed for that!

Review 12：Hotel located in beautiful position, very quiet. There are lots of walks and cycle tracks in the area - buy a map from reception. Food good, and service was excellent. We do not speak much German but we managed to make ourselves understood with help from the staff there. Hotel clean set in lovely gardens. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return there if we were in the area again.

Teutoburger Wald is Magic and Extersteine is located just fewminutes from the Hotel.Large and clean room,very rich breakfast and gooddinner! Review 17：All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We phoned them from the train station to call a taxi for us so we could get to the hotel.They were happy to do this and we were very grateful. When leaving they called a taxi the day before which didn't arrive on time so the kind manageress drove us to the train station herself! We couldn't have been happier with the help that we received. The meals were fantastic and a real gourmet treat! Compliments to the chef! The spa and heated pool was a real luxury especially after travelling for over a month. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. It was great to see deer from our balcony. The snow was really magical. The closeness to Externsteine rocks was a real treat.Only 15 minutes walk from the hotel! All in all our stay in this hotel was a real highlight of our trip and a welcome oasis of comfort and luxury and a very reasonable price!

Review 18：I was driving and I do not use satnav, and it was quite difficult tofind the place. The driving directions from Hannover supplied byBooking/Google Maps were totally useless (you end up getting lost onsmall country roads with no signs).

Review 19：Great place, just on the fringe of the Teutoburg forest, walking trailsstart just in front of the hotel, main natural attraction of the area(Externstein) is 20 min away. Very comfortable room, not new butspacious and very well kept. Small swimming pool, sauna, gym, massagerooms, and beauty center are available. The food in the restaurant isexcellent and should not be missed.

Review 20：The location was beautiful on the edge of the forest. Staff really putthemselves out to cater for our needs. Rooms were clean and spacious. Wewould definitely return there in the future. We have never slept so wellin a hotel!!

Review 22：Environment is first class, many walks, cycle rides on your door step.Long or short, easy or requiring a bit more effort. Staff were friendlyand eager to service every wish. I know that it is part of selling asmany drinks,food etc. as is possible but it was done with a smile,makes all the difference with many other establishments we stayed atover the years. Very relaxing calming atmosphere, full spa facilities.Decor of hotel a bit dated, but kept clean. Swimming pool good size,temperature ok, could be 1 or 2 degrees warmer though. Meals wereappetising and varied. Civilisation near by. I suggest to leavemobiles, smart phones and computers switched off or at home. Very basicpoor reception ,you have to stand outside to make any chance of makinga call. Wifi , free ,but only in the small bar area near reception. Gpon premises . I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to getaway from it all for a few days.
