Reviews for Hotel La Casa Grande
Review 1:Liked everything but watch out for the cabbies from the airport. They will GREATLY overcharge. Ask price before taking the cab and make them stick to it.
Review 2:Lovely hotel. Clean, updated bathroom. Only there for 1 night to catch a plane. Arrived late and left early so did not get to enjoy all the hotel had to offer. Very helpful staff.
Review 3:A beautifully renovated building close to Madrid airport. We always stay here the night before returning home. Great staff, and it is like staying in a museum. The free secure parking is a great bonus as well.
Review 4:The resturant, bar and gift shop in the main building are now all closed. A small bar and resturant in the building oposite which is where I had to go to find someone to check in. Appeared to be the only person in the main building all night. Breakfast very basic. Very hot so air con strugling to cool the room, and room safe not working.
Review 5:Good clean room with plenty of charactor.
Review 6:I had no bad experiences here. My Spanish was dormant after a month in Italy, and would have been helpful. But I did not feel the need to venture from the property. I was here for an overnight between flights, and simply enjoyed the place.
Review 7:Ever Montero, Manager, was so helpful and friendly. My room was absolutely perfect for a solo traveler: quiet, perfectly equipped (free minibar, wifi, and a fabulous jacuzzi), in a beautiful and historic setting. Dinner at the restaurant was divine. Did not have a chance to view its icon museum but I hear it's great. Fantastic breakfast!
Review 8:Very comfortable with taste of old days
Review 9:Cleanliness, amenities, good bed, place to work in the room, just like the fotos
Review 10:Breakfast should be included
Review 11:Ample bedroom, complete bathroom, plants part of decoration, museum all around.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Exceptional ancient hotel near the Madrid airport. Lots of character and a great restaurant.
Review 14:Rooms are all in the roof and accessed by 3 flights of stairs, which may be a problem for some. May be too isolated for tourists.
Review 15:Excelent hotel with a lot of character and a very good restaurant and bar. Staff are all very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are an excellent standard and are very comfortable.
Review 16:It was difficult to stay at La Casa Grande as a family with senior parents and a young child as there were no elevators. Moreover, we reserved a triple room + an extra bed for our son and we were told at arrival that there were no tripples, only doubles with an extra bed so our stay was uncomfortable. Booking.com should update their information on this hotel to include that it is NOT that conveniently located to the airport (35 euro taxi ride) and 4 people in a room (as our confirmation stated) is nearly impossible.
Review 17:The reception staff was friendly and accommodating as much as possible.
Review 18:Beautiful hotel and function suites First class restaurant And the most helpful and pleasant staff we have come across in 50 years of travel and holidays
Review 19:The rich historical building. My first visit to this hotel, even after living in the same town over 30 years ago.
Review 20:The worst hotel ever / bad food / paid more than booked withbookings com / all night long noise in other room
Review 21:the staff is not very professional
Review 22:the building is a 15th century building, very good restored. nice and comfort rooms. very quite, very isolated.
Review 23:Ambience! Old castle - you feel like in Versaille there :)
