Reviews for Hotel Bendinat

Review 1:The place is more like a restaurant with rooms attached. Preferential treatment seemed to be given to diners who did not appear to be staying at the hotel. It is in a residential area. No. 2 Maitre 'd needs to get his act together - apologies are of no use when he's given your table away to someone else. Pool is a waste of space - it's as big as a garden pond! There is no local public transport. A shuttle bus to Puerto Portals would have been handy.

Review 2:I'm trying to think of something!

Review 3:The room allocated to us was the only one on the second floor which afforded us a magnificent view out to sea. Although a little on the small side the balcony was an ideal place to watch the activities in and around the hotel. We ate at the hotel each of the three nights and were treated to some delicious seafood dishes.

Review 4:location: access to bars, shops, resurants etc. down side of location. On balance we would return

Review 5:location: resturant location second to none. hotel to sea second to none. Staff: expert & professional

Review 6:Nothing, truly a great place. One should know Bendidat is on uneven terrain so biking or walking can challenging if it's warm. Vespa or car is recommended if you want to move around.

Review 7:The breakfast and the overall quality on the food served. The comfortable room with a large terrace facing the sea with a view. That you could hear the waves and was surrounded by the sea and the nice breezes. The sunbeds and the cove/swimming.

Review 8:Restaurant & bar staff were always too stressed Requested one of two rooms back in january when we booked but disappointingly didnt get either

Review 9:Couldnt fault the location

Review 10:If you do go into town don't go to Jose's to eat, it's terrible.

Review 11:Everything about this hotel was to the T. We found The food delicious, beautifully cooked and presented at the restraunt though it is advised you book for the time as its quite busy though not rammed there is a lovely hum about the place, try the prawn and monkfish wraps as a starter! The whole complex is made up if mini villas (though I believe there are some rooms too) it is lovely and quiet whilst still having a buzz and atmosphere. The swimming in the sea is great though there are some sharp rocks so if you have swim shoes take them. The staff are so helpful nothing is a problem they are happy to suggest day trips etc. if you get the chance get the old train from Palma to Soller and then the tram to the port it is a lovely day out. The town is a short walk away from the hotel, ten mins, ask at reception and they will draw you a map. Lots of places to eat and a little supermarket. If you do venture into town eat at restraunt Coral, it doesn't look much but the food is good (the T bone steak was huge and well cooked though its no where near the hotel quality). We really enjoyed our week at Hotel Bendinat and we loved the personal touches, welcome letter, thank you letter and chocolates, even an e-mail when we returned home thanking us for our stay and wishing us a safe journey. We will definitely go back

Review 12:The breakfast was a standard continental, it was ok and enough of it but didn't match the price tag.

Review 13:The views, the position, the staff in the terrace restaurant, the service at reception . All excellent.

Review 14:Probably obtained the worst room in the complex; Almost like a dungeon; On top if this every night a disturbing noise from some generator next to this room; Twice we complained at around 4.00 AM, but No alternative accomodation was ever offered.

Review 15:Superb location with magnificant sea view; Excellent Restaurant with good service

Review 16:The bed was too hard, but I asked for the bed to be made up with a duvet to sleep on under the sheet which did the trick!

Review 17:Large Private terrace with sun or shade all day, spectacular views, and being near enough to hear the waves

Review 18:No pool side service and late opening bar.reception not so friendly. Having to pay for WiFi

Review 19:Quiet location, proximity to sea, good food ,pleasant staff, simple characterful hotel.

Review 20:The staff can seem a little old fashioned and disconnected, but they are OK and pleasant enough when you speak to them. This hotel may not be quite so pleasant if you have bad weather, the public rooms are quite dark.

Review 21:The location on the coast is excellent, with superb views. The hotel is quaint, quiet but very relaxing. You can walk to Porta Portals beach (about 10mins) and taxis are easy to get.

Review 22:Breakfast menu a bit limited and foods not replenished when they've ran out. Service at breakfast slow.

Review 23:Lovely helpful staff. We arrived at the hotel to find we were upgraded from a double room to a huge double balcony suite. Excellent dinner and wine.

Review 24:Our first night battle together with staff to get rid of tens of cockroaches from the cute bungalow, the scent of the chemicals involved throughout, our morning wake up by garden-staff with motor driven lawn mowers, leaf blowers and hedge cutting equipment, all at nine in the morning...

Review 25:The Location

Review 26:If your renting a big car then parking can be tricky. Limited parking. Don't pay for on - site parking as a free for all with non residents using.

Review 27:Everything. Location great. Food good

Review 28:Difficult access into sea from rocky beach at either end. slightly tetchy senior maitre d` in dinner resent.

Review 29:delightful breakfast terrace and proximity to sea for dinner meals. clean beach towels daily. perfect suite (801)

Review 30:Parking is first come first served ,was always lucky but few spaces. Very tight access and exit to hotel due to public parking just outside hotel gates.

Review 31:Terrace with Sunbeds looking over rocks and sea plus with our room garden with sea views and our own Sunbeds and patio table . Breakfast was varied buffet and cooked to order. Restaurant was fantastic . Staff excellent service

Review 54:Stunning location, very private, discrete and beautiful. Excellent breakfasts, always helpful when included in room price.

Review 55:Having to pay for two iPad wi-fi connections in the same room. Seems a bit greedy.

Review 56:Lovely quiet location, fantastic food in the main restaurant. Cleanliness could not be faulted. Beautiful grounds, very relaxing. Rooms spacious and clean.

Review 57:The whole stay was compeltely memorable and we could not have expected any more! The location was stunning, the food and ambiance was of a very high quality and the staff were welcoming and professional. Our stay was greatly enhanced by our upgrade to a Suite for the final two nights!

Review 58:The newly adopted practice of a female member of staff going from table to table at breakfast attempting to make conversation. This is something which is new. I found it obtrusive attempting to respond to invasive questions over my breakfast. Lets the place down quite frankly. A shame.

Review 59:We stay at Bendinat four or five times a year. We love the location, the relaxed ambience, the feel of 'old' money. The staff are second to none insofar that they are helpful and unobtrusive in a relaxed style. We have a suite inn the 'new' block. The size of them is like having an apartment. Very comfortable.

Review 60:Didn't like not being able to make a cuppa in the room.

Review 61:Fabulous food, great service and gorgeous terraces to relax listening to the waves crashing on the rocks.

Review 62:The quiet location The good service and food A restful holiday
