Reviews for Hotel Las Lomas
Review 1:A bit vintage, thin walls, tried to figure out how to turn lights on - nowhere to put a room card - found the switch (just like one for lights on a room)
Review 2:Breakfast was great, they fried eggs with beacon for us and made some good coffee. Place looks good and feels comfy Staff was very helpful City is tiny and awesome, there some Roman ruins worth seeing
Review 3:Bad sound-proofing, small and obsolete rooms, and not really clean. This cant' be a 4* hotel, even cheap. This hotel needs an urgent upgrade but that wont' solve the noise.
Review 4:Breakfast was good and the lady in charge extremely nice. This was infortunately the only good point in this hotel.
Review 5:The "satellite TV" receives only Spanish language stations.English not spoken here. Hot food not available in the evening until thekitchen opens at 8:30pm. Although Merida is a historical city, there wasno tourist information available in the hotel.
Review 6:Good, inexpensive food. Pleasant staff.
Review 7:Main restaurant closed to a party on our 1 night stay so had to eat in the cafe!! Air conditioning not satisfactory when hot!! Also the hotel is now getting very tired . A problem here if you don't speak Spanish!!
Review 8:Incredibly cheap!! Have stayed here many times and Is basic and comfortable.
Review 9:Rude staff, dirty rooms, smell of sewerage by pool, cigarette butts by pool bare wires in room 207 sick stains in hallways overall the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I've stayed in s lot of hotels!!
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:i never normally take much notice of reviews but on this occasion i should have... The air con was non existent.. just like what others had said, the rooms smelt of smoke, again like it said, staff were not interested.. the whole place looked like "prisoner cell block H" cheap but not too cheerful...
Review 12:Food was good, pool was good.
Review 13:Hotel was right off the highway so easy to find. The facilities were good, clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel and found that the staff was great. Our server Lourdes was so awesome! She shared knowledge on local meat and cheeses in our appetizers which was very interesting and added to our Spanish education and experience.
Review 14:It was difficult to control the room temperature, but we kept the window open to give us some fresh air.
Review 15:Room was comfortable and the breakfast was good value. The set lunch menu was reasonably priced at €12. Good overnight stop to or from the Costa del Lutz.
Review 16:Got lost to find it, as I was looking for the signs, Blue City instead of las Lomas.
Review 17:Loved the food, great quality, home made. Staff very friendly &helpfull. Quiet and great value. Beds very comfortable
Review 18:Although a good hotel, it is out of the centre for walking access to the main historical features. Excellent tapas meal! Good stopover hotel for journey to Portugal.
Review 19:Breakfast buffet was a little depleted as we went just after a big group left. Mostly everything for refilled in 15 minutes.
Review 20:Breakfast buffet for only €5 extra Helpful staff, free map and explained where to go and park in the city Free parking
Review 21:The hotel was filthy. Our room stank of cigarette smoke and the beds had very cheap mattresses so you could feel the springs. This is the worse hotel I gave ever stayed in. I refuse to believe its 4*s. I had to drive to Lidl to buy food for our breakfast so we ended up eating in the hotel car park. Worst holiday experience ever!
Review 22:Absolutely nothing
Review 23:Swimmingpool has fungus and its full of bugs in the water. Clearly they dont wash it often enough Tiles in the restaurant and around the pool is loose and sharp. Easy to get cut WIFI do not work. Went down several times and asked for assistence. Not of their skills and problem. 2 days without wifi as promised I asked for reduced fee for the stay. Was told it couldnt be done because I ordered booking over "booking.com". Very unhappy about that and was told to complain over mail. Just found out they do not have a mail to the hotel. All in all, I would not recommend the hotel because of these. Any hotel should keep everything in order what they promises their customers. 1-4 hours malfunction on the net is acceptable. 2 days is not!
Review 24:Well-located but its a small city, so it doesnt make any difference if you have car Big swimmingpool Well sized room "Free parking"
Review 25:hotel is a bit tired, pool could open for longer hours in the evening epecially in the long summer days.
Review 26:location was good needed a car but it was quiet. POOL was good.

Review 28:Comfortable bedroom
Review 29:Easy access from the M/Way, good parking, staff very helpful, comfortable accommodation. Very good breakfast.
Review 30:The price was the best part of our stay.
Review 31:Lovely gardens by the pool.
Review 32:Hotel required updating and cleaning, pool dirty.
Review 33:Friendly staff and good food
Review 34:Walls are thin. Bed not comfortable.
Review 35:Recepcionist was kind.
Review 36:Confort in the room, old furniture, bad smell in the room.
Review 37:The price, the location and the breakfast.
Review 38:Very old fashioned... Dated decor and needs major overhaul
Review 39:Staff very friendly and pool was a bonus
Review 40:Relaxing
Review 41:Hotel had a slightly run down feel as though a makeover was due
Review 42:Very friendly and helpful staff
Review 43:Wafer-thin walls. A screaming child next door. Receptionist absolutely refused to attempt even a word of english!
Review 44:Nice room, recliner, some comfort.
Review 45:A/C did not work well. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from town up a hill.
Review 46:Nice clean room and pool area.
Review 47:The restaurant didn't open until 21.30 in the evening which is much to late to eat and the cafeteria wasn't much better, providing light snacks from 21.00.
Review 48:The air con was switched off early and on a very hot night it became extremely warm in the room even with the windows open.
Review 49:The café bar was open long hours for snack or drink with good air con. It was also pleasant to be able to eat around the swimming pool in the evening with the restaurant wall slid back.
Review 50:We were told the city centre was about 25 to 30 minute walk !
Review 51:A good hotel on the outskirts of the city - a 45 minute walk into the centre was well worthwhile - lovely city
Review 52:I couldn't find it with Tomtom. I stopped at Tryp Medeia and lovely Teresa there gave a map and expained to me i was on the other side of the town. The adress is not accurate at all, the number they provide is only till 5 p.m. and after than you are on your own to find it as I was. When I arrived there were no bath towels in the bathroom and it took a while to get them. There was no wifi signal except in the middle of the corridor. During the night it was very hot but the air conditioner didn't expelled air of kind, though it made noise and was set to the maximum cold. It was impossible to open the windows to cool the air because of the noise of children playing and people talking outside till late in the night. It was really a night from hell and there wasn't a single word of apology from the staff when we pointed the irregularities. Oh, it said it had jacuzzi, but apparently no one that night got a room with one in it. It's basically a facebook hotel, nice to take pics but with cockroaches in the minifridge.
Review 53:The flooring in the rooms. The parking in front of the hotel entrance.
Review 54:The address that was posted made the hotel somewhat hard to find. We used both Tom Tom and a Nav Free (Spain) I- phone App and still had difficulty.
Review 55:Our waitress at the restaurant was friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. If you are driving, the hotel is a great base to explore Merida's wonderful sites.
Review 56:The location poor too far out of town. Breakfast bacon & eggs in a COLD Bain Marie. Evening waiter service was very, very slow only 1 person waiting on.
Review 57:The pool.....
Review 58:Great hotel for stay in merida for 1 or 2 nights, especially while having car. Looks older, but rooms ok for short stay. Very good price, lot of space to park a car in the city or 20mins walk to the city centre.
Review 59:The A/C in the room made a lot of noise but no cold. The bath tub doesnt have the water jets as we see in the booking site.
Review 60:Staff kindness, specially the thin lady with black air.
Review 61:Tripple room is too narrow for 3 adults. The hotel name has been changed to Lomas de Merida but booking.com still put it as Blue City....... and the address was wrong too.
Review 62:Easy parking, short distance to the city centre, staff very friendly, excellent food at the restaurant and cafeteria. Also excellent breakfast. Easy access to freeway and reasonable price.
Review 63:One of the reasons we booked the hotel was it advertised a seasonal pool even though it was the 4th of June & 30 degrees at 10pm at night we were told the pool wouldn't be open till mid June.. Shame
Review 64:Stayed at Blue City Las Lomas while traveling through Spain heading for Portugal nice clean friendly hotel, with free parking And a nice breakfast good area on the outskirts of Merida which was a lovely old town suited our needs.
Review 65:Room stuffy and air conditioner did nothing to cool or refresh our room.
Review 66:Onsite car parking. And it was free. Easy route to town centre where we easily found free on street parking.
Review 67:We walked into a demonstration as a result of staff not being paid at asister hotel for six months. We were soon joined by a coachload oftourists who kerpt us awake into the small hours. Not our cup of tea
Review 68:Nice welcome. Comfortable rooms. Friendly waitress at dinner who helped with the menu. Food good. Merida a lovely town with lots of interesting Roman sites you definitely need at least half a day to look round. If possible walk across the old bridge into the town as it gives a nice introduction to Merida.
Review 69:The Hotel was a little "tired" and worn. The carpet on the staircase leading off from the reception needs attention, we felt it was letting the hotel down.
Review 70:We were made very welcome - every member of staff we came in to contact with were helpful and cheerful. We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon despite poor weather. The evening meal was very good and breakfast was excellent, As were the staff! We will certainly visit again
Review 71:The hotel was well-located, outside of the city, making it easy to access without having to deal with the busy streets.
Review 72:Wifi was poor at times. Could smell smoke in bedroom
Review 73:Good location and nice to drink and eat round pool. Lourdes the waitress was excellent.

Review 79:Second stay at this hotel, same satisfaction , fine for a one night stay.
Review 80:Poor attitude of bar staff.
Review 81:Secure car parking on outskirts of town. Excellent breakfast. 5 min drive into town.
