Review 1：The lift was broken, which was a bit of a climb to the second floor for some of our group

Review 3：The place is looking rather scruffy and run-down now, certainly by comparison with other French 2 star hotels we have stayed in recently. Room was very plain, and not very comfortable, although bathroom was excellent. Rather noisy. We stayed 7 nights; hotel restaurant was closed 4 of these, though plenty of other options in the town.
Review 4：Location in the centre of Castellane is great. Being able to park a motorbike in the garage is really useful. Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful.
Review 5：Needs a coat of paint and new furniture in the bar. Needs a tidy up in public areas....piles of linen left in the bar; broken lamp and unused sun umbrellas proped against a wall.

Review 9：Near very noisy Karaoke bar which seemed to be allowed to stay open late into the early hours of the night. Not really the Hotel's fault but the town needs to keep a tighter control on noise if it wants family tourist trade.
Review 10：This is a typically French hotel in a typically French setting, surrounded by scenery, bars and restaurants. It wasn't posh but it was just what we were looking for, and we loved our week in Castellane.
Review 11：When we arrived we were given a tiny room for the 3 of us - absolutely nowhere to put our clothes - dark room but were moved shortly to a larger room for 4 - we were there for 4 nights in total

Location perfect on main square - a lot to do in the area - perfect choice as our base for travelling the region. Had dinner in the restaurant - very nice cuisine, very well presented, tasted great and we are a family of gourmands :-)

The woman at reception was very sweet and showed concern about other guests on our floor since there was a group of teenagers staying there, asking if they were too loud and if everything was okay during the night.

Review 18：Great location right in the centre of town, allowing you to watch all the passing traffic (mainly motorcycles!) while enjoying a well-earned beer! Spotlessly clean, newly refurbished bathroom in our room. Good shutters prevented too much noise transferring from the main square just outside. Good garage for bike parking (but would be a bit restricted with a car).

Review 23：staff very rude guy with bald head ...No wifi and when i went to ask i was told its out of order..although there computers were working fine behind the desk taking more bookings...Room was awful i have stayed in some pretty bad places but nothing like this we could not wait to get out of it constant smell of bleach on the corridors ...should not be allowed on booking.com it Gives them a bad name ..My advice do not stay here !

Review 25：Breakfast was simply a basket of bread with tea/coffee. Not exactly worth €8 per person. Also hotel parking is €8 per day but there is many free public car parks just 2-3mins walk away.
Review 26：Right in the middle of Castellane and with its own restaurant attached, Hotel du Levant was ideal for our stay. Short driving distance from Sentier Martel trail and plenty of rafting, canyoning, kayaking and hiking opportunities. Could stay there for the week.

The location on the central square in the town was great and the view from the front bedroom window was a joy. Parking just in front of the hotel was plentyful and cheap. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel the town of Castellane is beautiful and perfectly located for visiting the Grand Canyon du Verdun.
Review 68：Evening meal was terrible. Mashed inedible cauliflower with meat that had obviously reheated with a half reheated baked potato. When we asked for a cheese course we were told they had run out of cheese - have never heard of this in a French hotel before! Breakfast was poor - coffee from a vending machine, no fresh fruit and stale croissants. General maintenance in the hotel was poor. Water started to pour through our bathroom ceiling. When we reported this to receptionist she was very helpful and quickly offered us another room but it rather disrupted our stay and we will not be returning.
