Review 1：The hotel welcomes you with everywhere present smell of cigarettes. This continued in the room too - not so nice. In the bed you have to sleep under the non-covered blanket separated by a pieces of sheet - not so nice. The view from the room was on the roofs of neighburing houses - not so nice. The front-desk lady hardly spoke English which did not help during check-in - not so nice.

Review 5：Hostal Plaza Mayor is absolutely stunning place. It´s a beautiful clean hotel with a great comfort and a very friendly and kind stuff. It´s not far from the Airport, just few steps from Renfe and a bus and very close to shops and restaurants.
Review 6：Wifi is worst for a business trip . Not even a page load. Staff said hotel is full, that is why wifi is slow and nothing can be done.

Review 10：This was a late booking for us in probably one of the busiest weekend in the Spanish Calendar - Easter weekend! So we could not find anything in the centre of Madrid for our price range. We booked this hostal for initially one night thinking we will book elsewhere for the 2nd and 3rd night - as we were looking for a hotel, not a hostal. When we arrived and got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised that the room was very spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and had all that we needed. After having breaskfast - which was just a continental breakfast - also very good, we decided to stay there for the duration of our 3 night stay. The staff were very lovely and helpful, always smiling and ready to help. The location is of course not the centre of Madrid, but the Torrejon de Ardoz Cercanias train station is only a 2 minute walk and the train to Madrid only takes 20 mins. The trains are very Price was €5.50 return! So bargain really! If we come to Madrid, we will definitely think about staying here again. This should be a hotel, not a hostel! Excellent rooms!
Review 11：This hotel room had a dirty bathroom. The toilet needed a good scrub to get rid of the brown ring at the rim! The side-street the hotel is located on was very noisy at night. people were coming and going at all hours and we felt insecure on this street. The taxi ride from airport was very expensive;- 35Euros!,

Review 32：When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room where the bathroom had not been cleaned (see above), and there were no other rooms left with Queen or King beds as we had requested. We were offered a room that had twin beds, but we declined. The short drive from the hotel to the airport was almost completely along highways and was supposed to take around 16 minutes according to google maps, but it actually took almost one hour in the morning rush hour traffic. This is not the hotel's fault, but it makes the hotel's location less convenient than what one might think initially.
Review 33：Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. The old-style balcony was a nice touch. When we arrived the bathroom wasn't clean, and the housekeeping personnel was gone already, so the lady from the reception came and cleaned it herself. She was very helpful and had an excellent attitude in general. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the choice was not very wide, and it was clear that only rather inexpensive foods were offered. Convenient parking garage under the hotel. Convenient location near suburban train ("Cercanias") station. We spent only one night at the hotel, before taking our flight at Barajas. It was a very good choice overall, particularly considering the low price.
