Reviews for Boutique Hotel H10 Punta Negra

Review 1:Bathroom was too small. Felt crowded. Some of the interior was dated. Beds by large pool should be replaced. Bags should have been removed on arrival. No footman/concierge to hand.

Review 2:Beautiful location with views of the sea and 2 wonderful private coves. Hard to beat such an outstanding location. Decent breakfast.

Review 3:Bar area was very plain and lacked atmosphere, probably as it was low season, with rather uncomfortable seating. Map of hotel layout and facilites was lacking. Restaurant prices vey high. Free wifi poor outside bar.

Review 4:Most staff were pleasant and helpful. Room and general areas were very clean. Breakfast was quite extensive and plentiful. Bar prices reasonable. Free wifi good in bar.

Review 5:Staff could be more friendly. "Spa" was terrible. Massage was the worst I've ever had, and I have had many! Plus it was in the basement and there is no place to really relax while you wait, only curtains instead of doors to massage rooms. Some staff were not very friendly. One bartender in particular was awful and rude.

Review 6:Beautiful spot on the water, gorgeous property. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Room was clean, beds comfortable.

Review 7:Wi fi only worked properly in the lounge bar and poor/unavailable in the room. Hotel appeared a little tired and in need of updating expected more for the price

Review 8:The location and setting was great and the staff very helpful

Review 9:Aside from a few exceptions, the staff didn't seem motivated or trained in great service. At times they were unfamiliar with what the hotel had to offer, and we always felt that we were asking for things rather than being relaxed and confident that things were being taken care of. On top of that, the hotel felt a little dated and rough around the edges. Some TLC and this place could be amazing though!

Review 10:Location was great - just outside of Palma so easy to avoid city traffic if you're exploring the island. The grounds themselves are also excellent! Two private coves, both good for swimming, and access to a small dock and more beach area.

Review 11:the fact that I was placed in a poky back room overlooking the car park. After complaining I was moved to a super room over looking the sea which is what I had expected in the first place.

Review 12:Helpful reception staff

Review 13:The lack of wifi at reception needs to be addressed as wifi is excellent everywhere else in the hotel and the external grounds. The finishing in the room could do with some rework; the balcony door was falling apart and the wardrobe door kept getting stuck. These things should be maintained well. Breakfast could offer a better range of hot items.

Review 14:The staff were so friendly and helpful and really made my stay a great experience. From the welcome glass to quick cab requests and speed of room service. I stayed in one of the villas which was beautiful. The outdoor pool and surrounding grounds were amazing.

Review 15:Never enough room at breakfast or lunch due to reservations of large Spanish families 20+. Never enough sun loungers available through the day either and the trees obscured any sun that was available.

Review 16:Location

Review 17:- toleration of reservating sunloungers - poor wifi

Review 18:the location is unique. the restaurant's cuisine and service used to be outstanding but is still above-average unless there are a lot of student-waiters who seem not to be able to cope with large numbers of guests. but the lady in charge normally makes good for it. thanks!

Review 19:rooms not cleaned on daily basis, staff would know once and walk in, ants in cupboards and cockroaches frequented our costly room, breakfast was meh.....didnt bother after first day to get up for it. attempted lunch and it was bland...shame as lovely hotel but for 3 nights £1534 but much....for what we got

Review 20:friendly staff clean around hotel and rooms spacious very basic

Review 21:We checked out at 12noon, but didn't have to leave until 6.30pm.Therefore we needed to store our luggage and dress beforehand. Thefacilities to shower and change in before leaving were too far away fromreception to drag my suitcase. Also not air conditioned which meant Ileft the hotel a wet, hot sticky mess and in a vile mood. We struggledto find a 'sunny' spot which we could stay in all day, the treesprovided too much shade for my liking. Where you have built decking, youhave added more shade, whereas this might have been a good place forpeople to go if they wanted some sun. The grounds are beautiful however.Interior was a little tired in places

Review 22:The food was excellent for both breakfast and lunch, we ate out in theevening. The bar/restaurant staff were attentive without being overthe top. Grounds are beautiful, however there was too much shade.Gorgeous outside space in the evening, lovely to lie back on the deckingand listen to the sea waving in and out. Overall I found the Hotel verygood value, very pleasant and incredibly clean. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

Review 23:Thought the hotel was beautiful really authentic and great value for money. Very clean and well kept great location and wonderful breakfast will go back.

Review 24:There are a few things to bear in mind that might not suit every traveller. There is only 1 restaurant at the hotel so this means that you will being going out to dinner most nights to the nearby port where there is great variety.. A cab ride is only €6 so not really a problem but still too far to walk. The gym is also offsite so again not a problem but still an inconvenience.

Review 25:Great location, even more beautiful than in the photographs. The aspect of the property above the coast provided not only a great view but a great breeze to make the 30+degree heat very pleasant. The hotel was very well maintained and in my opinion was of a higher standard than many 5 star hotels that we have stayed in. In terms of value, quality of premises and quality of staff this hotel is our favourite of any that we have stayed in over the past 10 years.

Review 26:wifi is very slow if it works at all, no 4 star service level (i.e. no room service), room & food relatively expensive for what it is - it's really the location that makes this a great place to be

Review 27:great location & views, small beautiful beaches, friendly staff, nice mix of nationalities

Review 28:The place needed a general tidy up. Cracked tiles everywhere both outside and inside the rooms.

Review 29:The gardens around the hotel were gorgeous, really pretty!

Review 30:Internet in the room was bad. Safe didn't have a key and stuff could not find it for 5 days so I could not use it. I had to take my things for safe with me everywhere. And it seems like stuff even didn't want to find this key. Balconies look like in cheap soviet union hotel. And the most terrible thing - I caught a big cockroach in my room.

Review 31:This hotel has excellent location. It's located on a beautiful shore with a lot of trees. There are two excellent beaches.

Review 32:Very poor service at restaurants and bars always had to go and find staff. Air conditioning poor. Food at lunch time and dinner poor and expensive

Review 33:Great breakfast, good bathrooms reception staff good

Review 34:Wifi was a let down. Unstable, slow. Often forced to use my roaming datainstead. The final invoice they proposed was much higher than thebooking price - after pointing that out they did fix it.

Review 35:Great location. Excellent staff. Nice beaches. Thanks to its lay out itfeels small and not crowded.

Review 36:"Boutique hotel"? Nah, don´t think so.... Poor service, bad food. I have seldom heard the word "impossible" used so many times by service staff. The 4€ surcharge for any changes in the food on the menu speaks for itself.

Review 37:Great location, nice view. Rooms OK.

Review 38:- hotel was older than it looks at photos - the nearest beach walkway, with restaurants, shops and bars was about 25 min by foot - the beach is not private (with many locals) - good but expensive hotel restaurant - but most annoying was cleaning during the day, you can hear it through two floors. And if somebody who has room above yours and is using high heels at 2:00am - goodbye nice quiet sleep. Hotel needs better soundproofing.

Review 39:- staff was great and helpful (anytime) - breakfast very good (many kind of food) - surroundings around hotel is very peaceful with lot of pine trees, nice pool

Review 40:The WI-FI is basically not working outside of the reception area. The restaurant has great food, but quite expensive for dinner. We had some real problems with check in when they tried to give us some shady rooms in the back of the complex with an amazingly ugly view of the parking lot. We had to call the Booking.com customer service and have them sort things out.

Review 41:The location is amazing with a lot of shade and green places where you can relax and enjoy the amazing view. The 2 small beaches are perfect for snorkeling and for cooling down in a hot summer day. The breakfast is very generous with a lot of options.

Review 42:Terrace menu very repetitive if eating there every day. Not enough comfy sun loungers. Beach are not cleaned every day. Noise from garden work being done particularly at breakfast time.

Review 43:Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast good, Superior room very good light and spacious.

Review 44:No other dining options near the hotel. Very small "beach" nearby. (Very minor things).

Review 45:Well appointed and very clean rooms. Great view of the water and nice pool facilities. A bus stop nearby if you don't have a car.

Review 46:- very hard beds -the could plan their garden upkeep better not when people take a (15-1600) siesta - no food allowed in the gardens/ pool (no service) - very poor wifi connection

Review 47:-the views over the sea, -the location close to portals, palma, porto adriano -very good restaurant

Review 48:Attending a wedding asked for an iron was told they did not have one that we could take the shirt to local supermarket and ask it to be done urgently unfortunately we did and they could not no iron in a hotel of this size was disappointing

Review 49:asked for a ground floor, didn't get, asked for a double bed and didn't get, outside by the pool was filthy, in the pool was filthy. And we was spose fly got an upgrade when arrived, il stick to Marriott and I roster in future...not happy

Review 50:it looked pretty

Review 51:Rooms not quite 4* standard, could do with upgrading decor/bathroom. Restaurant expensive for dinner

Review 52:Great location ... Beautiful grounds... Extensive breakfast ... Pleasant friendly staff ... Walking distance to restaurants/bars ... Small beach/coves at edge of property ... Very relaxed atmosphere ...

Review 53:I don't know why this hotel calls itself a boutique, it is a bog standard hotel and overpriced for what you get. Maybe they had some boutique rooms hidden somewhere but our room was bare and simple. Its redeeming factor is the luscious garden and beach (but not private) location. Breakfast was a good selection but a lot of the products, e.g. juices, cheese and sliced meats, were budget quality compared to the other (cheaper) hotels we stayed in on Mallorca. The beds were also terrible for a hotel of this price range. (If I book a double room at vast expense then I expect a double bed, and if I do have to push the mattresses together, then I expect the mattresses to be the same height. I also expect more than a plastic sheet on the mattress for this price! Fortunately the cleaner noticed my efforts and at least gave us a double sheet and duvet after the first day)

Review 54:Location and gardens beautiful. Exceptionally friendly and competent bar, restaurant and cleaning staff (wish I could say the same for the reception staff.)

Review 55:Not one thing!

Review 56:One of my favorite locations to date! If relaxing is on the agenda you have found the right place! This hotel has it all!! Amazing food, excellent customer service, private beaches and beautiful grounds! Breakfast was amazing and the kids were thrilled with the choice of beach or pool each day. We were well taken care of.

Review 57:You need a vehicle to get to restaurants etc - it's a little too far to walk for dinner bikes are available for rental but at a very expensive 15 euro per day each it was meant to be adults only and it it clearly wasn't

Review 58:Beach is fantastic is you like swimming - pool(s) awesome for sun bathing very chillaxed surroundings with space and privacy

Review 59:The location, the private beaches, the views, everything! The resort is extremely good, almost exotic. A private place, close to Palma and many other beautiful spots on the island.

Review 60:We only stayed one night on this occasion.

Review 61:The staff, location, fabulous room overlooking the pines and the Mediterranean made it another wonderful stay. Once again I can't fault this hotel.

Review 62:The rooms are cleaned once but as it's a big property, it takes awhile and probably not as through; but it's NOT horrible. they do what is needed. The wifi was being fixed so it wasn't very strong but it was present enough to check emails; not to download movies

Review 63:We loved the hotel; it was great to relax and it has it's own private beaches which makes it heaven. There are plenty of chairs to lay in the sun around the big property and it was secluded from your tourist trap

Review 64:Nothing

Review 65:Location was great. Only 15minutes to airport but quiet once at the hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants and beaches. Bus stop to Palma at end of road. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive. Cava on arrival is a nice touch.

Review 66:The room was in a beautiful location right next to the sea. The bedding made me not want to get out of bed. The secluded location but close to the city was wonderful and the staff was always happy to help.

Review 67:The hotel reception and courtyards need renovating. The hotel reception don't come across as knowledgeable or enthusiastic although restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive

Review 68:I liked the breakfasts and the grounds.

Review 69:Free WiFi is a good thing as long as it works instantly ... ours took some tries first.

Review 70:We liked the place - so peaceful, close to nature, directly ashore of the sea and still in sight of Portals Nous and close to Palma. Nice people, too. Excellent service mindedness.

Review 71:To many trees around the pool area, making it difficult if you are a sunbather Towels on sunbeds by the Germans!

Review 72:Everything appeared satisfactory. Location requires taxi wherever you wish to go.

Review 73:The hotel staff at reception were so helpful on arrival. Since our last visit they have made many big changes to the hotel, all making the hotel a very much more comfortable stay. The location is so central whilst giving you isolation and peace. Well done H10

Review 74:Chasing the sun , too few sunbeds around pool area next to the bar Lunches and drinks overly expensive Bar lacked atmosphere One very noisy night as large wedding beneath our room

Review 75:Great location sea view was amazing , pool area next to bar and restaurant excellent Meals in hotel were high standard Staff professional polite and not over bearing Peaceful and loved the small private beach and coves

Review 76:outside pool area for breakfast not so good selection very poor evening meals were a' la carte only and the menu was the same for the two weeks. very pricey the rooms we were told had been re vamped the were o.k. but not what you would call superior which is what we were paying for my son had a cockroach in his room twice.

Review 77:breakfast in indoor restaurant excellentff reception staff very helpfull, spoke good english

Review 78:The room service were very nice but didn't always clean too well... Restaurant has exaggerated prices, you can have a wonderful meal in a village close by for 1/3 of the costs...

Review 79:Beautiful place! I must say we are rather "fussy" guests, always looking for beauty and space, however we have to watch the prices too. Hotel is very large, offers two wonderful outdoor swimming pools, also an indoor pool&sauna. There is a private beach and really nice large beaches in 5 min. drive with little restaurants and lot of things to do. We had an upgrade to a "villa" and it was fantastic, two rooms, sea view and own little garden. In the room you have a Nespresso machine and the bed was huge!! You can enjoy an enormous choice of food at breakfast indoors and a bit smaller choice outdoors by the pool. A perfect place to re-charge your "batteries" and have a relaxing time... We didn't want to leave!!!

Review 80:We stayed in a suite for 3 nights and had half board. Dinners in the evening were excellent, being beautifully presented and delicious.Hotel grounds and swimming pools well maintained. Pool beds were great.

Review 81:Weak WiFi signal, slow internet connection.

Review 82:They suddenly gave us a Superior room instead of a Standard room for no extra price and no particular reason, and we are very thankful for that. We got a real sea view, the sea is 10 meters away from our balcony. Great breakfast, kept us going till late afternoon. There was a capsule coffee machine in our room and we got 4 capsules every day for free. There are two small clean beaches, one is rocky, but has lots of underwater life to snorkle, and the other is sandy, suitable for children and not very good swimmers.

Review 83:Such a beautiful place for such a basic hotel, what a pity! Theinteriors of the hotel (main building and annex) are very old and do notdeserve 4 stars (I am affraid that a painting would not be thesolution!). Breakfast food quality is very basic and some of thepastries are not even fresh (probably from the day before!) Globalservice quality is basic and more close to 3 stars. No parking placesenough for such a number of guests. WiFi is very bad so bad times shouldyou need to be connected! Some of the reception employees are justpolite, nothing more ("help yourself and you'll behappy"!). No sun after 10:30am as the huge pines around the twopools are avoiding sunlights. Restaurant is too expansive for such abasic quality (spanish usual gastronomy deserves better image!). Veryexpansive in relation to quality/service level (eur 1'100.- xthree nights!)

Review 84:Amazing location of the hotel with beautiful views. Two nice outsidepools and access to a little beach (5-6 persons max.) Suite Ducale isquite big (42m2).

Review 85:No mature reception staff. It was never obvious if there was a manager of if a manager was present. Very uneven pathways in the hotel garden, some are dangerous and a person could easily trip and fall. Very poor bar and outdoor food service. I would love if the crepes had no fillings so you could choose yourself what you would like to put in them. no provision of hair conditioner in the bathrooms.

Review 86:Small, not too many people. Lovely surroundings, well behaved children. Beautiful breakfasts. We had a lovely private balcony with a lovely sea view and tree view, room 304. Easy to get around. Great safe beach to swim in and rocks to climb. Lovely fresh reception towles to use.

Review 87:Building work and garden strimmers were evidently at work for most of the day for both days that we were there. This rather spoiled the tranquility as did the yachts moored off the headland that had ventured forth from Magluf with head banging music to accompany the rowdy crew. Towels reserving unused sunbeds was really annoying. i wish that people would think about others when there are not enough loungers to go around.

Review 88:Villa was lovely and there were lots of areas to sunbathe and relax. the pools were refreshing and clean. parking was not a problem and reception and waiting staff were very accommodating.

Review 89:The service at the Snack Bar was really bad. I went to days in a row in the afternoon and I waited 10-15 min for somebody to come. First day I just left, couldn't wait no more, second day I went to the bar to order cos I had to wait for too long. I payed 2300 euros for 3 night's but the hotel didn't meat my expectations.

Review 90:The A-la-carte Restaurant is really good and the service was excelent. At the reception as well really good staff and gave us a lot of usefull information

Review 91:in the evening the place looks gloomy and deserted, poorly lit; beach towels - worn-out and smelly; some of the a la carte dishes were outrageous (ice-cream with wasabi - is it a bad joke?). Air conditioner too noisy, couldn't sleep well; room was full of mosquitoes; the sea view from our room was fantastic, but we had to keep curtains closed because other guests preferred to sunbathe in that part of the garden; Punta Negra beaches are popular with locals, including misbehaving children and groups of drunken youngsters

Review 92:ideal location; fabulous sea views; spacious grounds with exotic plants; good size pools; large rooms and suits; attractive and comfortable bathroom; coffee machine in the room; breakfast is still not bad ( was better in previous years); evening restaurant - with good ambience, some of the dishes were delicious

Review 93:The wifi was appalling. You could not stay here if you needed internet access at all. The pool areas were nice but very few sun beds which were "reserved" with towels from a very early hour. The beach coves were beautiful for a swim but there was only enough sand at each for maximum 4 people to lie out. This is a very family oriented resort with lots of kids which we hadn't anticipated as the photos of the resort made it look more adult or couple friendly. The staff were not overly helpful and didn't have a lot of useful advice when it came to beaches and restaurants. Room service stopped at an early hour. We requested a late check out as our flight wasn't until late evening but were told it was not possible so we had to leave our bags at reception and shower at the indoor pool was was less than a pleasant experience to end our stay at the hotel.

Review 94:The location was perfect, by taxi 10 minutes from Palma, 4 from puerto portals and 5 from Palma nova. The surrounding sea view and private beach coves were beautiful. The hotel was very clean. There were always taxis nearby and when called by the hotel arrived within 2 or 3 minutes. The bar food by the pool was nice but expensive.

Review 95:Horrible wifi service I did not feel like I was in Spain, all the guests and most of the staff were German! They only served lunch until 2:00 and dinner until 10:30!!! This is not Spain!!!

Review 96:Private bays, plenty of places to lounge without feeling crowded. Beautiful grounds.

Review 97:the gym is pathetic, a couple of stationary bikes over looking the indoor pool.

Review 98:loved the location. we had a villa room with beautiful room overlooking the water.

Review 99:The view of the sea was a bit covered by trees.

Review 100:The room was modern & light! Possibility to take breakfast at the swimming pool (but less choice than in the restaurant) The kindness of the waiters in the restaurant

Review 101:Breakfast. The pools. The room.

Review 102:Private beach was great, though it was kind of cold to get in at October.

Review 103:Everything Very helpful staff and quiet location Good facilities

Review 104:Internet didn't work No gym however it is offered in the facilities Careless stuff

Review 105:Horrible Don't go there!

Review 106:Poor wifi

Review 107:Friendly and welcoming staff, free upgrade to suite, very comfortable bed, great view, nice pool, nice spa area, very good breakfast.

Review 108:Not allowed breakfast outdoors after first 2 days

Review 109:Staff attitude and lication

Review 110:Trying to get a sun lounger where the sun rays where likely to strike

Review 111:The seclusion. The good roads & signs made some memorable trips out

Review 112:Poor staffing, lack of atmosphere

Review 113:Pool and closeness to sea

Review 114:Wifi could be better

Review 115:Location, food, renovated room

Review 116:Poor WI FI. Tired sunbeds and towels.

Review 117:Nice staff nice hotel

Review 118:it could have more / better sports-equipment

Review 119:great breakfast, nice location, friendly staff

Review 120:Didn't get our online preference for sea view room... Male staff were unhelpful.

Review 121:I liked the location... Female staff were very helpful

Review 122:Very relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful secluded beach. And swimming.the staff in all departments where extremely efficient and most pleasant.

Review 123:Having to leave

Review 124:Fabulous in everyway :))))

Review 125:Breakfast quality.

Review 126:Location and room quality.

Review 127:breakfast was very good and stuff very friendly...

Review 128:At photos it seems like an amazing sea but you see just 4 m2 to swim for all hotel Rooms are not same as it seen Old hotel

Review 129:Concierge

Review 130:lack of the big comfortable sunbeds as they got taken very early. the wifi was not good unless you were in the bar area

Review 131:location, own beaches, spa

Review 132:Atmosphere

Review 133:EQUIPMENT NEED REFRESH!

Review 134:Best location. Sandy beach.

Review 135:the indoor pool area, bit run down b

Review 136:breakfast ,frontline sea view,grounds

Review 137:The air conditioning in the rooms and hotel in general was so bad!

Review 138:Great location
