Reviews for Hospederia Baños Arabes De Cordoba
Review 1:the room and the bathroom had a smell of humidity clean room in general but it seems they forget to clean under the bed.
Review 2:the spa area was great and open until midnight. It was great we were able to use it whenever we liked.
Review 3:Thin walls - easy to hear your neighbours. Value for money - I have stayed in much nicer rooms for half the price. I suppose if you were staying here because of the baths then you might think it is worthwhile but that is not why I was visiting Córdoba.
Review 4:Located in the Jewish Quarter and very close to the Mesquita and not far from the Alcazar so it made exploring the old town very easy to do. The rooms were OK but nothing flash.
Review 5:There is no parking in the area, this is the only disadvantage of being located in the historic part of the city so you will need to drag your luggage there but believe us it is worth it! Only two small details to improve already an almost perfect stay... We would prefer to have a normal glass in the bathroom for our toothbrushes instead of the plastic glasses which were too light to contain them and a small soap for the hands at the sink would be nice. We took the soap from the shower which was generally good quality but not very handy for just washing hands.
Review 6:The property is a stunning inn with a hammam at your disposal all the time you want. It is locatad in the old city centre not far from the famous mosque-cathedral. Early and ”late” birds could have the advantage of being the only people in the hammam as we were! It is a romantic, exotic and relaxing experience to do and we cannot imagine a better place than Cordoba to try it! Only the access to the hammam has a value of 17 euros per person so take it in consideration when booking because you will have free access with no limits. The room was also very nice with a very comfortable bed and with a spacious bathroom. Very good wifi connection.
Review 7:The walls are pretty thin and you can hear the noises from other rooms.
Review 8:Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. It was wonderful to have the Arab baths in the hotel. Clean room and confy bed. The hotel provides slippers and bath robe. Parking near by.
Review 9:Most staff were helpful, a couple were offhand. It feels like the focus is more on the Arab Baths side of the business, with rooms as an afterthought. Bed was very firm.
Review 10:Excellent location close to Mezquita, shopping & Tapas bars. Some helpful staff. No meals, but vending machines for drinks & snacks. Large room & shower room... very clean. Unlimited use of the Arab Baths including mint tea & biscuit is included in the room rate... brilliant after a days sightseeing.
Review 11:Some customer of the Banos do not understand the word "silence" in english or spanish.
Review 12:Wow! Where do I start...If your looking for peace and quiet, that the place. Room are a nice size, simple but confortable, and in total darknest in you close the shutter. The staff, they were very helpful about the hotel but also the city. And the banos are as the picture show! clean and comfortable. If traveling for Canada was not that far we be there 2 or 3 week end per year just to relax.
Review 13:1. Free unlimited use of Hammam baths was just amazing to unwind after days of travel mostly on foot, 2. The front desk were very helpful in accommodating our early arrival - stored our luggage, suggested things to do (including an early dip in the hammams!), gave us umbrellas to go out as it was raining - really impressed esp as we had faced issues with communicating in our earlier accommodations in Spain, arranged a taxi for our departure etc etc - thanks! 3. Location was walking distance from Mezquita, in the middle of the charming Jewish quater
Review 14:The staff is very gentle, the Arabic baths are just wonderful, you can arrive at the hotel and have a bath + mint tea before entering your room. You can visit Cordoba and have another bath in the evening before going out. In the morning you cna have a final bath and get ready to go out!
Review 15:by car, the 24 hour cap park was 5/10 mins. I think they should have a porter option for this, it was hard to drag luggage this distance. Staff quality and knowledge on reception variable, some very good, others not
Review 16:unusual, a little quirky, welcoming, spacious rooms, interesting spa area which was included in the price
Review 17:Beds were small no Arabic atmosfere in the rooms Bathrobes were dirty and torn out Spa's were small and smelt like chlorin Wepayed €75,00 a night so for Spain you expect something nice It was the most expensieve place we stayed during our trip and the the one with the lowesr quality
Review 18:It was a quiet place
Review 19:The room had that humidity/mildew smell that you get in hot climates and holiday resorts. The bed wasn't the comfiest that I've slept in. But we were so tired it didn't matter!
Review 20:Such a fantastic little place, tucked away down a little alley close to the Mosque-Cathedral! We spent a short time in Córdoba and tried to squeeze as much in as possible. If we hadn't stayed here we never would have considered a stint at the Arabic baths. They were amazing! A very relaxing environment and a great way to break up the day and recover from the heat! The staff were very friendly and hospitable! Totally worth the stay.
Review 21:I was in a room on the first floor, next to a kitchen area/work area. I assume it was staff who me up at 7:30am banging around in there making breakfast, tea etc just being generally very noisy. not what you expect in a tranquil environment at that time of the morning!
Review 22:friendly welcome, great location, great to have the spa option.
Review 23:The shower was a mystery to use at first.
Review 24:Loved this place in the heart of the old Jewish quarter of Cordoba. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location great, near many eating places.
Review 25:The problem was the overpowering chemical spray smell in the room. The cleaner had sprayed Glade room freshener and there was also had one of these chemical artificial liquid air fresheners in the room. It was awful and as I said to the staff it was so surprising since I thought that opening the window for fresh air would be enough. One of us has asthma so that it why it was unacceptable to have to breathe in these chemical fumes which brought on headaches. It really spoiled the visit to the hotel. I discovered in the morning that there was a damp smell in the room so perhaps they were trying to disguise this.
Review 26:Being able to use the baths on site. Immaculata the staff member was helpful as listened sympathetically to the problem. She helped with practical information the morning and was the best thing about staying there.
Review 27:The room was filthy and the bed even had dirty sheets on it!. The toilet roll hanger was hanging off amongst other things. We tried talking to the owner about our bad start to our short holiday and she was decidedly rude and didn't offer us any sort of apology or compensation.
Review 28:The baths themselves are lovely and I came away with super smooth skin! First thing in the morning we had the baths to ourselves. The girls that work there are fantastic.
Review 29:Nor easy yo find. But not a big issue.
Review 30:Rustic but they have everything for few days stay. Really big bonus is possibility to visit baths unlimited. Stuff is very friendly
Review 31:Bed was not accommodating for "side sleepers". The rooms were stuffy & steamy.
Review 32:The baths were amazing & perfect after a long afternoon of wondering the Mesquitza & the old town of Cordoba.
Review 33:It was very tricky to find and impossible to get your car near. Parking was approx half a mile away.
Review 34:What a wonderful facility to have free use of the baths and a reduced price for massages. It was such a relaxing experience.
Review 35:Streets in the neighbourhood are too narrow to park Hummer H1. ... Austin Mini as well.
Review 36:Extremely friendly staff. Unlimited hammam included. Fantastic central location. Romantic/historical atmosphere.
Review 37:Our room was basic but very comfortable. The hotel does not do breakfasts, but that was not a great problem. We would have liked to have had a refrigerator or access to an ice machine for the G&Ts.
Review 38:Hidden within the old Moorish walls this is a fully functioning Arab bath house, with4 pools and a steam room, which has a few rooms above. The baths were magic and available until midnight at no charge to hotel guests.
Review 39:Location was so close for us to stroll down to the church and bridge and tea houses Perfect for the time we had and the baths was a delight in comfort and relaxing
Review 40:Much improved from our last visit the owner was much more professional and welcoming
Review 41:Nothing
Review 42:Great ambient and comfortable room
Review 43:The bathroom in the room wasn't properly cleaned.
Review 44:The bath and the staff
Review 45:Rooms
Review 46:It was very strong smell that came from the spa to room
Review 47:Spa very nice
Review 48:Access to the baths
Review 49:No coffee making facility in room. Access to Continental breakfast would complete the package
Review 50:Extremely helpful staff,
Review 51:The upstairs area was a little shabby
Review 52:The hamman, the air conditioning, and the location
Review 53:No resturant facilities. Access a bit tricky due to narrow streets.
Review 54:Staff friendly and helpful, supurb location for getting around in the middle of it all.
Review 55:The owner (boss) was not present and when he was called by the staff about the very weak wi-fi service (1 bar or less) in our room, he told them that it was impossible and that he wouldn't do anything about it.
Review 56:The staff were fantastic, especially Ima. The baths were great. The sweet mint tea was a special treat.
Review 57:Wife was pathetic but you learn to live with it.
Review 58:Room was clean, quiet, comfortable, pleasant and efficient. Hotel well placed for sights and restaurants. Availability of the cold, warm, hot and saltwater baths was near heaven after tramping the hot Cordoba calles. Our first choice when we return to Cordoba.
Review 59:All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Staying at the hotel you have unlimited access to the baths from 10am to midnight! A magical experience, seeing the place change as night fell and the whole place is lit by candles. A big Thank you to Anna, Mari and the rest of the staff.
Review 60:The stuff is very helpful and kind. Very good opportunity to use the Baños Arabes. They recommend us a nice restaurant where they offer a special price menu for the hotel Guest - we would recommend this option as well.
Review 61:we were driving and nothing on the website informed us that the hotel was impossible to reach by car. The lift was very odd and sometimes it wouldn't move, or the doors wouldn't open.
Review 62:the atmosphere, the building, the arabic surroundings, the baths, the surrounding area.
Review 63:The "suite" was just a big room with hardly no decoration anda cold/cheap atmosphere (for ex. Old white Ikea table). They shouldreally improve it (given the price of this suite)! There is no real balcony unlike the indication on booking.com. Breakfast wasn't served when we were there.
Review 64:Free access to the (really nice) baths (otherwise you have to pay 15€).Central location and quiet.
Review 65:Noise and position of the air conditioner. It was hot and the air conditioning had to stay on all night, however it was quite loud and air was blowing directly over the bed.
Review 66:Baños, massage, reception
Review 67:Staff very friendly and helpful. Superb location. Excellent times for the baths. Benefitted a lot from late closings. Free WiFi excellent and being available in rooms was vital.
Review 68:Having never driven in such narrow winding streets before to get tolocation it was a cause for concern as there were quite a few personsaround .I would say for some it might be an idea to park the car at thelocal car park and walk in .
Review 69:Staff. Were very friendly. Baths were clean and breakfast was nice .Nocomplaints had a great time .a unique experience for us.
Review 70:all good!
Review 71:the baths were fabulous. room lovely bed graet! although coffee and tea in the room would have been welcome. friendly staff, location very good.
Review 72:It is not possible to drive up to the hotel because it is in a tinystreet, so you must park a few minutes away in public parking and thenwalk to the hotel. Get directions to the parking before you arrive!
Review 73:If you like to spend a lot of time relaxing in the baths, then this isthe ideal place: after a long day walking around the sights of Cordobayou can slip downstairs from your room and spend a relaxing hour or soin the warm, hot and cold baths. The location is very central but in aquiet street.
Review 74:The condensation in the rooms
Review 75:The baths; the suite; the staff; the location (not necessarily in that order - it would be difficult to select an order of preference)
Review 76:No breakfast despite the price and uninterested staff
Review 77:The location in the juderia
Review 78:We loved having permanent access to the wonderful spa, the friendly staff and the location in the nicest part of the city.
