Parador de Albacete descritpion

Located in the plains of La Mancha, this Parador provides pretty grounds with a swimming pool, and is an ideal setting for enjoying outdoor activities.
Enjoy the ranch-like architecture of the Parador Albacete which has a pretty, covered gallery leading around the hotel with terracotta tiling and a wooden roof.
Soak up the fresh air and sunshine which La Mancha enjoys most of the year, before having a swim in the Albacete pool. You can swim and listen to the sounds of nature thanks to the hotel’s tranquil, rural setting. Enjoy an afternoon siesta or a good book in the shade of the Albacete’s garden trees.
After exploring the sights, relax with a fabulous meal in the handsome dining room. You can accompany traditional dishes from the region with a fine Spanish wine followed by a choice of desserts.

Reviews for Parador de Albacete

Review 1:Very quiet and nice location close to the Albacete airbase where Eurofighters are stationed. Can see them flying from your window and hear them roar when they take off.

Review 2:Poor WiFi, as is unfortunately likely in many European hotels!

Review 3:Gorgeous, classy very traditional "Parador" typical of a certain Spanish "finca" style that felt like a country club. Wide, open vistas all around, very spacious, wonderful food and pool facilities, great staff.

Review 4:The lomg walk round the square. we were always diagonally opposite where we wanted to go, it seemen like.It would seem like the dinner menu is always the same, so it means going in Albacete for something different.

Review 5:The breakfast was very good, but could do with another coffee machine. There was one waitress wjo had to do everything including getting hot water for tea(and pot, and tea), refilling the buffet, laying up the tables.

Review 6:A little disappointed with the breakfast. The hot choice could have been HOT!! Having said that, there was a wide variety of other choices.

Review 7:Excellent well mannered staff who were very helpful indeed. Pool area well supervised and spotlessly clean. We look forward to our next visit.

Review 8:Lovely enclosed courtyard which seemed to be out of bounds. No where to sit outside apart from on a sunbed by the pool or an uncomfortable chair on the small terrace in the cafeteira area

Review 9:Very tranquil setting

Review 10:Suggest they sack their young miserablereceptionist, rude and unhelpful.Standard rooms are twins only, web site gives you a choice, we booked a double, after complaining, another receptionist changed our room, obviously the head receptionist.

Review 11:Love the 1970's style and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Also had a bar serving Tapas, very pleasant and lovely staff.in this area.

Review 12:The only thing that let it down was that the pool was not yet open and the lack of a kettle in the room.

Review 13:The hotel was briliant, very welcoming and comfortable. .

Review 14:Front staff were uncomfortably reserved. It would have been nice to have had a walking map of the property and a small history as that was one reason we chose a Paradores.

Review 15:Interesting property with good facilities and very clean. Located between the main highway & Airport it was easily located and signage was very good.

Review 16:We had to stand and wait 20 minutes for the desk clerk to get off the phone and check us in! The hotel is definitely authentic Spanish, was probably a nice hotel before the invention of electricity! Also included in the price at no extra charge is the Spanish air force fighter jet low level high thrust deafening maneuvers right over the hotel from 2.30 to 5.30 everyday! the room had two single beds (not a double) like we reserved, which were like military issue bunk beds! Not to forget the paper thin walls!! Surprising how all the other Spanish reviewers (in English) thought the hotel was great??? Stay away!!

Review 17:No very much!

Review 18:Lack of signs to the swimming pool Price of breakfast

Review 19:The swimming pool and grass areas around it Cotton bed linen Variety of food for breakfast Spacious room

Review 20:It was so difficult to find. The postage stamp illustrating map on the booking form was useless, but despite the stress offinding it, the parador was worth it.

Review 21:The gardens and architecture, were wonderful-long cloisters of very old floor tiles, with plenty of seats for weary elderly travellers. The food was good as was the service. Huge bathroom with easy to work shower

Review 22:The noise above us from other guests! Not the Hotels fault but not our choice either! There was no 'middle of the road' choice for food at dinner. It should be taken into consideration that not all guests enjoy an 'a la carte' menu!

Review 23:The tranquility of the Hotel set in beautiful well kept gardens. Room size was adequate and we enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds in the gardens! Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice on offer. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Internet was fast and appreciated.

Review 24:All was excellent, thank you for providing gluten-free breakfast

Review 25:Pool was closed, weather still good for Northern Europeans

Review 47:Badly isolated between the floors. The dinner menue hadde few options.

Review 49:Paradore is situated near a military airbase and there were low flying jets in the afternoon

Review 50:Dinner menus ok,but not great

Review 53:Flies can be a problem in the summer.

Review 54:General ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful

Review 55:there was no water on the morning of our departure and we were unable to take a shower. We were not offered any compensation for this.

Review 56:the decor both inside and out and the tranquillity

Review 57:nothing - were we happy there

Review 58:Nice, comfortable rooms. Peaceful location. Easy parking facilities. Very helpful staff (when we noticed that the heating in our room did not work, they immediately gave us another (upgraded) room). Excellent, very tasty regional food! Good (and healthy) breakfast choice.

Review 59:Nothing to dislike.

Review 60:Hotel was ideally situated for my reason to visit Albacete. Upon arrival, I was amazed by the appearance of the hotel, for the price I had payed. The room was excellent value. I enjoyed the meals I ate at the hotel. There could have been a little more choice, but that is just being picky.

Review 61:Big room and big bathroom, nice furniture, wonderful pool with attendent. Cafeteria food very good value and friendly service. Reception staff and handling very good and helpful. Under cover parking!

Review 62:The worse thing was the pool. We arrived on a beautiful day in June expecting to sit by the pool....but it was closed & dirty. Also no chairs to sit on in the sun. All in all wouldn't stay there again!

Review 63:Although dated the room was spacious & comfortable. Bathroom needs upgrading and new towels are needed. The entrance to hotel was nice and the grounds are nice.

Review 64:Most of the staff. Reception were rude. Ordered a double bed online, given two singles. Told that all doubles taken yet hotel near empty. Cafeteria man ok. Dining staff no English and clearly untrained. Over last 3-4 years, quality of staff has declined. Reluctant to stay in Paradors - so sad

Review 65:This was my second stay. An excellent hotel. Spacious, gracious and luxurious.

Review 66:Bathroom flooded when bath emptied but problem was dealt with very promptly and efficiently and we were offered another room.

Review 67:Second visit here - great food and good facilities.

Review 68:Nothing really, but it is in the mioddle of nowhere being about 5kms outside of Albacete itself so you need transport - mind you you wouldn't be here if you didn't have transport. Ideal stop over for travelling either Valencia way or the other way to Almeria.

Review 69:Our first time at a Parador - everything very good, food was outstanding for a very reasonable price - 3 courses for 30 euros.

Review 70:This hotel has a wonderful ambience. The service was excellent. I particularly liked the way this hotel was furnished with antiques which helped preserve the idea you were staying in a private finca. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Review 71:Restaurant was lovely, very high standard, very nice property, would stay there again.

Review 72:À little bit more maintance forthis golf court

Review 73:Golf facility

Review 74:No use of swimming pool in June.

Review 75:Good location to stop en route.

Review 76:Big rooms, near motorway so easy for travelling.

Review 77:The menu could have had a little more choice and with the current economic climate slightly pricey but appart from that excellent.

Review 78:Poor cafeteria. Terrible food in restaurant. Dinner was awful.

Review 79:Good, warm room. Efficient, but not too helpful reception. Good quality breakfast

Review 80:Nice staff, good food, comfortable room.

Review 81:menu was limited but good quality, a hotel with character and old Spanish tradition,

Review 82:A very convenient stopping point

Review 83:Was disapointed as have always wanted to stay in a parador, but have stayed in much nicer hotels

Review 84:Nice location away from the town.

Review 85:Very dirty swimming pool, and a lot of dog poo in the gardens.
