Reviews for Hotel Oasis

Review 1:Breakfast was not great. Nothing cooked available, coffee awful from a horrible machine. Not a reason not to stay I guess.

Review 2:Very friendly helpful staff. Free Parking. Good value.

Review 3:Didn't worry us - but a 20 min walk to town, bus available.

Review 4:Inexpensive, car parking, friendly staff, good if you have a car, supermarkets nearby, decent breakfast

Review 5:The hotel was very clean. Just a short walk away from the historic city of Córdoba. Breakfast is adequate, value for money. The rooms are small with small shower cubicle. Good safe parking. Very helpful staff.

Review 6:Nothing to mention.

Review 7:Excellent value-for-money option, driver friendly, dog friendly, very nice staff (English speaking), spacious enough rooms, in walking distance from the old city and just nearby a supermarket.

Review 8:Far from the center and very expensive for what it was. Clean but very poor hotel.....definitely not worth 100 euros per night. Looked more like a chic motel than a 3 star hotel....

Review 9:The water was cut for about 12 hours which meant no toilet, shower or water. These things happen, but they didn't even really apologise or offer free breakfast or antyhing like that. We also didn't like the way they made the beds - the top two blankets weren't fresh - which we think is a bit outdated & unhygienic.

Review 10:We liked that this place had free parking & was within a walk to the centre of town.

Review 11:There was a slight smell of smoke in room which may have come through the ventilation system.

Review 12:Great value. Good location, walking distance (10-15mins) to old city but easy to get to by car and free parking. Highly recommended.

Review 13:Location. 30 mins walk to the center and the area is not well iluminated at night. Do not recommend to walk at night.

Review 14:Comfortable room and service from staff and free parking.

Review 15:A bit far from the center but it is ideal if you go by car, so you can safe some money by not staying in the city center.

Review 16:Good enough to spend one night. Near the hotel you have some restaurants to have much cheaper breakfast and the hotel has parking included.

Review 17:Staff really helpful. Found me needle & cotton when I needed it at short notice. Gave good directions to historical sites plus to primark later in day. Worth staying here.

Review 18:The steps into the pool on the shallow end were loose.

Review 19:The pool. Location to centre within walking distance (left out of hotel down to first bridge, cross bridge turn right for short walk to centre)

Review 20:Breakfast was tasty but there were no vegetables. No queen bed but two twins put together.

Review 21:Staff was nice, it was good to have parking included. The rooms were a bit outdated but clean. Generalle very good for a short stay.

Review 22:Area is quite rundown and somewhat bleak, although it didn't feel unsafe. View from window is over a wasteland towards the river. This is out of the control of the hotel; potentially the area is in limbo awaiting riverfront rejuvenation.

Review 23:Nice, clean modern interior, with friendly staff.

Review 24:Noise in the rooms! We asked for quiet rooms anything was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at. there is no sound proofing between floors and rooms.

Review 25:Views

Review 26:Nothing

Review 27:Great location to visit Cordoba avoiding driving in city centre. Free parking. Friendly helpful staff and lovely pool area. 20 minute stroll or short taxi ride to main attractions.

Review 28:The pool was a bit noisy for being by the main road... can't be helped though.

Review 29:Reception lady was LOVELY! Pool was welcome and it was easy to find from the main highway.

Review 30:One of the receptionists (a man wearing glasses), wasn't very helpful.I asked him about taxis from the old town to the hotel. He almost sneered, and said, you can't get a taxi from the old town, as the streets are just far too narrow for them. Needless to say when I went to the old town, there were taxis everywhere!

Review 31:Location, 20 min walk into town

Review 32:The direct vicinity of the hotel is not too great. Pool only opens at 12 hours so swimming in the morning is not possible.

Review 33:Clean room, good breakfast, free parking, nice and not too long walk into town. We didn't use the pool but it looked good.

Review 34:very noisy room, thin walls. could hear conversation neighbours.airco transfers the light from next door room. breakfast tasteless

Review 35:reception staff pleasant, helpful. distance to centre city ok

Review 36:Nothing. Maybe just the location is not right in the center, but at 15 minutes walking distance (and better not to use the car to reach the center - too small and crowded).

Review 37:The room was really big and comfortable (considering the rate). The continental breakfast buffet was cheap and with fair variety of foods. There was free of charge parking in front of the hotel and even swimming pool included in the price (but we didn't use it). Friendly staff. So very good value for the money.

Review 38:Our particular room (Number 124) had an air conditioning unit outside the window which ran all night and was a little noisy.

Review 39:Location-20 minutes gentle walk from the city attractions. Staff-all were very friendly and helpful. A car park that is located at the hotel.

Review 40:Nothing.

Review 41:The staff at this Hotel from the Manager to the cleaning staff are all excellent. Breakfast selection excellent and the Hotel provides a nice friendly atmosphere.

Review 42:None

Review 43:Very helpful staff who were eager to please. Excellent location with ample car parking, which is important as my wife has limited mobility. Exceptional value for money.

Review 44:Poor soundproofing in the room. In the morning you get woken up by the room cleaners talking in the corridor.

Review 45:Free parking, cheep cafes close by, good infrastructure, not far from the city center.

Review 46:We had a car so it was not problem to us but if you dont, hotel is a bit far away from touristic areas. It is not fun to walk 15-20min when it is 45C in summer

Review 47:The room was large and very comfortable, staff at reception was very helpfull, there is a free parking place which made us happy, we also loved the breakfast

Review 48:Not a bad experience, just not the best! This place is way too far towalk to the center of the city. Definitely more than a 20 minute walk.Took us more than 30 minutes walking fast.

Review 49:It had ac and it was freakin hot! I will never go to Cordoba in thesummer again!

Review 50:The surrounding area gives a poor impression but should not reflect on hotel. 20 min walk into the town a killer in the heat. I'm sure this not an issue at less heat intensive times of year if you don't mind a stretch of the legs.

Review 51:Fab pool area. Great breakfast selection. Free parkimg. Supermarket across the road. Petrol station nearby.

Review 52:Pool and bar not open together

Review 53:Located outside the historical centre but within an easy bus ride into town. Excellent pool, just what is needed to cool off after site seeing!

Review 54:It seemed very important to the receptionist, that we had a pleasant stay in Cordoba. He also gave us some really good tips about what to do in Cordoba. We got a really good dinner in the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Review 55:Weak wifi signal, strong smell of mildew in room; limited hours of restaurant, however Bar Yolana nearby had delicious food and friendly staff.

Review 56:Pool was awesome. Location good

Review 57:We took a quadruple room, you could barely move in it. The decoration was very basic and was all beige. was really depressing. No fridge! No coffee making amenities.

Review 58:Nice pool.

Review 59:The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The location was easy to find and plenty of free carparking was really appreciated The breakfast was varied and delicious The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable

Review 60:It was very hot during our stay (40 degrees) so the air conditioning did not really cool the room at the temperature we would have liked.

Review 61:I liked that it was within walking distance of the Old Town of Cordoba and it had a pool.

Review 62:We drove past the hotel and could not see the name of it from the road.

Review 63:Free parking Friendly staff Spacious quiet room, at the back, with lovely views over trees and hills Great air con, no noise

Review 64:The AC in our room was not cooling, we requested a fan and the staff provide it immediately

Review 65:The staff is very freibdly and cooperative. The swimming pool is nice facility

Review 66:Facilities are dating a bit, but is still ok if you are a good enough place to stay and do not want the hassle of parking the car.

Review 67:Location is close enough to the main sights and yet provides free and easy parking. Staff went out of their way to tip us off to a great night at the feria. Pool made it great for the kids. It worked for us and i would recomend it as a no frills place for a short stay if you have a car.

Review 68:Expensive for basic room. Cordoba's busy time, festivals & 1st Communions so apparently all hotels are expensive late April early May. Otherwise not a bad experience.

Review 69:Pool, grass. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK for €€. We knew it was 20 min. walk into old town so not surprised. Weather was very hot so long walk was uncomfortable.

Review 70:Staff and location.

Review 71:Hotel located 20 minute wall (on a very busy street) from Mezquita. Neighborhood is nothing but rundown buildings and bad restaurants. Staff was pretentious and not helpful.

Review 72:The reception staff was extremely helpful and friendly, almost like family. The restaurant was excellent with a very inexpensive prix fixe dinner menu and having free parking and a pool were terrific!

Review 73:Initial reaction to location was very disappointing. It is not in very attractive surroundings but hotel itself was fine. Expensive for what it was.

Review 74:air conditioning is fabulous (it was very hot during our stay) Quite a good choice at breakfast

Review 75:Hop-on-hop off bus was great value. 2 day pass that lasted 3 days, plus two bonus free guided walking tours through the city and guided tour through the Mesquitta.

Review 76:Nothing really!

Review 77:Very easy to find and the on-site parking was a bonus. A 20 minute walk, mainly along the river, and you are in old town Cordoba. The guy on reception was really friendly and seemed to speak every language going, so communication was absolutely no problem!

Review 78:- a bit far away from the city centre(you have to work around 20 min) but if you're on holidays it doesn't really matter

Review 79:- friendly staff - breakfast was good - modern facilities - free parking - swimming pool - you can use the swimming pool and the parking even after check-out

Review 80:A good sized first floor room at the rear with excellent en suite bathroom. Useful free on site car parking & in room wifi. An easy 20 minute walk to the centre of Cordoba & close to local supermarkets. Highly recommended.

Review 81:A hotel located amongst derelict building sites and closed workshops a good way from the centre of Cordoba. Miserable breakfast!

Review 82:Generally clean and welcoming, but our reason for staying there was solely dictated by our ability to board with a pet in this hotel. The evening meal was pleasant but most of the food seemed to be from deep frozen packs. No fresh food prepared.

Review 83:The difference in breakfast buffet between Sunday and Monday......

Review 84:Helpful and very friendly staff. The room at the quiet site of the hotel that we asked for.

Review 85:Rooms are not very well sound-proofed so it's worth bringing ear plugs, just in case you have noisy neighbours! Staff were very helpful and dealt with it immediately though, when we complained.

Review 86:Comfort of room, wifi worked, free onsite parking, the breakfast buffet was unusually good. Staff also very helpful. Overall, fantastic.

Review 87:Hotel was basic, but good value for money.

Review 88:We liked the location, walking distance to the beautiful bridge to the Mezquita. We arrived by car and were able to easily park in the hotel car park. Breakfast was good.

Review 89:The hotel was easy to find and is great value because it isn't in tne centre of Cordoba. The route into the city is straight forward. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and explained a lot about the places of interest in Cordoba.

Review 90:Hotel is very easy to find when arriving by car and has outdoor parking that can accommodate even larger vehicles such as camper vans. Location good for seeing the sights as only a short walk to the bridge to the old town. Staff very helpful and friendly - the receptionist suggested a walking route round the old town that took in all the main attractions in one day. Two supermarkets nearby were useful for putting together a picnic for our onward journey.

Review 91:Walls are a little thin, can be a little noisy, and the road traffic can get loud, but not horrendous and it gets rather quite in the evening.

Review 92:The staff are excellent, doing their utmost to accommodate your requests. Food is good, free parking, close to grocery stores, gas stations, and still an easy walk to the old city.Very easy to find if driving into Cordoba.

Review 93:The location was less than great. It was a far walk to get anywhere near points of interest.

Review 94:The staff was very helpful. Parking on-site was good and seemed secure, which is always a plus with a rental car.

Review 95:The hotel was a bit of a walk to the centre which was quite tiring after a long day of sight seeing.

Review 96:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was a fantastic plus and a great way to cool off away from the heat and crowds of the historical centre. The room was very comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed. Free parking out front of the hotel.

Review 97:A bit far from the old town, ok if you don't mind a 20 min walk each way to the town walls.

Review 98:Big, comfortable room, good bed, quiet location, helpful staff.

Review 99:Nothing really

Review 100:Pretty much everything. We normally dont eat in an hotel when we travel as we believe you get more of an authentic local atmosphere when you eat in a restaurant. We ate in the hotel restaurant, the price was right, the selection was good and the waitress ( Irma??) was lovely. To walk to the Mosque was easy but with a pet wqe had to find underground parking which we did. The hotel offers a one hour panoramiic visit of the old quarter in a private car at a very reasonable price. If you have pets there is an area of waste ground behind the hotel where you can walk them. The hotel will open a gate to give you access. It is large but not too clean and it is at the hotel.

Review 101:if traveling by car, hotel oasis is perfectly fine, safe parking and reasonably priced...food - ok. attractions within walking distance. interesting oriental restaurant a few min walk toward town.

Review 102:As we were driving to Portugal, we wanted an overnight stop without the hassle of tackling the traffic in the centre of Cordoba and the Oasis ticked all the boxes. It was situated about 20 to 25 mins walk from the centre, and had free parking. The breakfast at 6.Euros was reasonable value for money.

Review 103:Technical problem with wifi while I was there, but understand it was repaired the day I was leaving.

Review 104:Helpful friendly staff, good facilities, good location.

Review 105:Restaurant wasn't great or even good. Basic. Our chicken as undercooked and while the front desk spoke English well, the restaurant staff did not so we didn't even try to explain our meal was undercooked.

Review 106:Location and cleanliness. Hotel is an easy, 30 minute walk to Mezquita. Parking can be tight but is easily accessible. Grocery store across street. Staff speak English.

Review 107:Breakfast menu is ok, not very elaborate, don't expect any warm stuff. We had dinner once in the hotel, lack of English speaking waiters is an issue. The food is nothing much to talk about.

Review 108:Value for money

Review 109:Had a lovely stay here. And the staff was very nice, they prepared our breakfast the evening before leaving as we wanted to leave before breakfast time to visit Alhambra in Granada.

Review 110:Poor noise insulation between rooms. Congested parking.

Review 111:Very attentive reception staff. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Parking available, though restricted. Good buffet breakfast.

Review 112:Breakfast could have been a little bit better and definitely could have been presented in a nicer way.

Review 113:Good location, only a 15 minute walk to the old town and supermarkets nearby. Free parking, clean and comfortable room. Very friendly staff!

Review 114:The restaurant was ordinary both the food and the staff.

Review 115:Value for money. Rooms are reasonably clean, beds comfortable, TV user friendly with language choices. On site parking was free. The walk to town was welcome exercise.

Review 116:Noise both within Hotel with fire doors - they kept on banging till 2am.voices oh guests through thin walls plus boom of television. Accommodation was expensive for what was on offer. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend to others.

Review 117:Good situation for sightseeing

Review 118:Bed was exotic, but could have been more comfortable.

Review 119:The location is actually very good if you are going to Cordoba with car since it is not possible to get close to the old city center with main attractions by car due to the lack of parking and narrow streets. It takes half an hour of slow walking to the center. Free parking at hotel is a plus. Room was oriental with exotic lights and bed. There was hairdryer in the bathroom which we've discovered not to be so frequent in Spain.

Review 120:I booked 2 rooms.one was not bad but my room was as big as a double bed. There was no other space. In general cordoba is an expensive destination in terms of accomodation. But for this hotel, my opinion is that it did not worth

Review 121:Stayed for 2 nights. The staff were exceptional. They gave us advice on Cordoba and made phone calls to help with visits we had planned. The location suited us well. We were able to cycle safely into town in 10 minutes along cycle tracks. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. We will definitely return.

Review 122:The food in the hotel. We had a meal which was the worst we have had in Spain. We complained to the waiter at the time who laughed and we then made a complaint in the morning. Still awaiting feedback. Asked about it when we checked out but nothing had been done about it and then made a formal complaint. We had BLACK avocado. Fish floating in brown oil and nearly raw aubergine and courgette. YUK

Review 123:Staff very helpful and welcoming. Easy to find and lots of parking. Only 15 minutes from the old town.

Review 124:Strong smell of smoke in bedroom. This is a no frills establishment but the price reflects that so no complaints there.

Review 125:Very easy access to Cordoba by car ( travelling from Malaga). We avoided driving into major city traffic yet we were still only a 20 minute walk from the Mezquita.

Review 126:position: it's in not such an area you'd walk through at night; view on the rubbish bin; scarse/absent wifi connection

Review 127:definetely very clean (and no carpet!); cheap; free parking

Review 128:The bathroom lighting could be improved as not easy to see when applying make up.

Review 129:Restaurant, excellent menu for a very good price and staff very attentive. Free parking was a bonus. Pool and area were excellent. Location in easy walking distance of Cordoba old town.

Review 130:Wi-fi did not work well in room. Looked out of window onto maintenance roof. But having said that we spent our time asleep so not a problem unless you were planning to stay in room during daytime.

Review 131:Easy access into town by short walk. Car parking at hotel. Easy to find and access from A432. I have stayed before and chose to come again because of the convenience. Staff were very friendly, spoke English and made us welcome.

Review 132:The double bedroom was very small. Very noisy hotel as you could hear noise from the adjoining bedrooms and along the corridor. The surrounding environment adjoining the hotel was quite a put off.

Review 133:The staff was extremely helpful and went to a lot of trouble to sort out a particular problem we had. Quite a plus for the hotel.

Review 134:A bit far from the center of the city if it's a rainy day but otherwise, it's OK. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the Mezquita, at an easy path.

Review 135:We were two couples and had a most enjoyable stay in Hotel Oasis. Situated on a main road at the entrance of Córdoba with a lot of traffic but the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. We were told it had recently been reconditioned. The staff was most pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean and confortable. Next time we’ll try their cafeteria. Highly recommendable.
