Review 2：Everything! Fabulous apartment! Great breakfast! Lovely owner. Car parking available out the front (get voucher from owner). A very short walk to centre of Old Town.
Review 3：This is very comfortable, clean and convenient accommodation. The host is most gracious and helpful. The communal kitchen/dining area has the added bonus of being a place to meet fellow travelers. The accommodation is within walking distance of everything to see and do in Ribe, which was quite wonderful.
Review 4：Innkeeper very cordial, and gave great visitors tips for local sites. We were delighted to find that we had the room with wooden mechanics shown in hotel bio. It was spacious, bright, airy - beautiful. Bathroom was updated and modern, and furnishings clean and comfortable just as shown. We were able to peek into the other rooms as well. Each was different, but with same attention to atmosphere and comfort. The hotel was in the medieval section of Ribe, and just steps away from museums, cathedrals and shopping. Street parking was available for modest weekly fee.
Review 5：At 29° it was the hottest day of the year, so a lack of air-conditioning was uncomfortable! But this was of course out of the ordinary.

Review 9：Ribe's the sort of place everyone should visit when they visit Denmark - and when they do, they should stay here if they possibly can. Just a few minutes' walk from the station - and only a few steps from the heart of this lovely old town - Den Gamle Kobmansgard is a neat, clean, tidy, beautifully and simply decorated, very welcoming home-from-home. It has a great, relaxed atmosphere, a friendly and knowledgeable host (whose pride and joy this is) and plentiful breakfasts. Staying here ought to be compulsory - specially for anyone who aspires to run a B&B! Flawless.
Review 10：We enjoyed staying one night in this historic B&B. It was quiet and in a good location for visiting Ribe off season. The facilities were modern, and the owner was friendly.
Review 11：Wished there were just 2 things - hot breakfast, and a laundromat/washing machine. Wifi was a bit erratic, you had to sit in the right place to get it.
Review 12：Stayed in room #1, which had a small bedroom, a dining area and a seating area. The place felt very cosy and intimate, and was perfect for our trip! The location is pretty central - although Ribe is quite small and location doesn't matter that much.

Review 16：Our apartment was clean and spacious and the owner extremely personable and open to suggestions. All in all, we had a great time. Had no problem preparing soup in the kitchen as it was rainy and cold outside. Our room was comfortable and the location was perfect. Everything is quaint and nicely appointed. Breakfast was more than adequate, juice tasted more like flavored sugar water, but the yogurt was some of the best I've ever had. Coffee plentiful and the bread. meats and cheeses good. Would appreciate something hot other than coffee. Yet, it was still good. Liked the fact that we could park out front. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend to others.
Review 17：Breakfast was a disappointment, but typical of Danish breakfasts that we had in other larger hotels. The 50 DDK cost for parking was a surprise - - this was necessary but should have been made clear to us up front, at booking.

The bed is not a double, it is two singles pushed together, I can live with that but the bed needs a double duvet not to singles, the pillows are fairly useless. We had room 3 and it is not insulated at all so people entering the building, using the family bathroom next door or coming up the creeky stairs is noisy in the room.

The B&B is an easy walk from the train station (service from Esbjerg or from Tonder at the German border) and only two blocks from city center. Hosts are gracious and helpful. The included breakfast is generous and very nice; coffee and tea are available any time. Be aware that all rooms are on the second floor; there's no air conditioning but windows open easily); and there is no lift.

Review 73：You have to leave the room before 10am. Internet didn't reach the entire house and didn't work during the entire morning. For breakfast is better to go out. They have a machine that give you dirty water. My wife likes the coffee that give you on the planes and didn't like this one. In general, we didn't feel comfortable in a beautiful town.

You get instructions how to fold the blankets when you leave, to put the dishes in the dishwasher and you are expected to arrive between 16.00 and 18.00, unless you call in advance that you will arrive later. We found the average of all the reviews too high for what it is. The same with the price for one night. There is not much wrong with the place, but it seems more special on the website than it actually is.

Review 81：This was our second yearly visit and the facilities are showing signs of wear and tear. They are serviced once a day, and if there's a problem, fixing it relies on leaving phone messages. The accommodation is getting tired and the shared kitchen could do with more frequent servicing when fully occupied. A little maintenance is needed, and maybe a new bed as we both got severe backache overnight.

The bathroom is very cramped and erroneously described as private. Rooms 1 and 3 are excellent. 4. Booking out was tricky, payment by cash (stipulated by the owner) had to be chased by client as owner did not respond to previous days calls nor first 2 calls when trying to check-out. Owner arrived 3 minutes after contact was made on his bicycle to collect his money, Note: no paperwork/receipt offered. In summary this is a good B&B if you accept there will be no customer service and you are prepared to read the ouse rules and comply e.g., load the dishwasher and strip your bed in the morning.
