Reviews for Gaddis Hotel, Suites and Apartments

Review 1:Staff were very unhelpful and not friendly, as we arrived they told usthat we have to pay cash as their credit card machine was not working.(God knows for how long) We havent had extra money to pay the hotel aswe were relying on paying with card. Therefore we had to go and takecash off the atm! Wifi did not work at all ( it was included in price),and when we asked why first they said its working and later they saidthat they have technician working on it. Which of course was lie, but wejust let it go as we were tired after our long day of flying over fromCairo doing all sightseeing in Luxor, all we needed was just place tocrash and sleep for few hours before flying back to Cairo early in themorning. Whole hotel is at very bad condition. When we arrived theyhaven't had our room ready for us and they send us to the room with2 separate beds, we went back and asked for 1 double bed room asthat's what we payed for. That room wasn't ready, they werequickly mopping the floor with dirty black water, as we were standingoutside the room. We even told them to change the water however the saidits 'ok' and didnt bothered at all. Once they finished"cleaning" there were hair and pubic hair all over the flooras the mop and water were dirty. Bedside table was broken and there wasdust all over the place. Once again we were staying there just for fewhours over night as we needed cheap place to crash. Once we finished ourtour around Luxor and got back to the hotel at the night time there werelizards all over the ceiling in the hallway. We met old English lady, who told us she had lizard in her room in the morning and possibly gotbitten by it as she had bite marks on her arm.I wound never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are reviews written its a good cheap price for place to stay especially for short stay. After my experience its a BIG NO!

Review 2:Location was ok at its 15 min from the airport

Review 3:There was water on the ground in the bathroom, discovered by the bellboy, yet no one came to dry and clean it, and it wasn't even dry the next morning. When i was checking out, the guy at the reception first denied that they have visa POS, and when I confronted him with what is mentioned on Booking.com, he said the POS are not working, so i had to pay in cash!!

Review 4:I love this hotel because it was clean and the restaurant food was excellent . The staff was also friendly and helpful . It's an ideal place to stay.

Review 5:* swimming pool was under cleaning * outdated hotel design and furniture * outdated air condition (built in ceiling)

Review 6:* the best price in Luxor * very comfortable beds * very clean and normal elevator * 10 min walking to city center * ideal if you come for sights

Review 7:I stayed many times in the past at Gaddis Hotel, but this time was very bad: the swimming pool was dirty and not cleaned for five(!) days, breakfast in restaurant was ugly and dirty, sharing spoons for coffe, not friendly at all.I don't think, the hotel is now 3 stars worth and I wont recomend it in these conditions. Sorry.

Review 8:located near of the town

Review 9:Dirty and drab. No top sheets so I went and got them n made the beds. When we got back they had mysteriously gone again. The man next door told us we're not allowed, just the dirty old blankets lord know how many others had used, that did it.....I got us all the sheets. Bathroom, nothing a builder, plumber and 2 bottles of bleach can't sort ! if you race round the shower fast enough you can actually catch a couple of drops of cold water. Breakfast, same every morning and I don't mean the same menu ! Reception...I phoned down 3 times and 3 times she put the phone down on me...huge row developed The air con's loud enough to do the opera house a run for it's money. The pool, growing exotic bacteria. lift works... but the electric goes down 3-4 times a day, so you might want to walk. Had booked for 11 days, but escaped on the 3rd day

Review 10:great location

Review 11:A lovely hotel with a lovely crew, nice swimming pool and the rooms are great. Very cheap and near to everything.

Review 12:nothing

Review 13:1- the hotel is located in the center of Luxor city at the street where most hotels exist. 2- quite cheap compared to other hotels of the same rank.

Review 14:They were offer us a good room in the internet, but on the fact was opposite, room was very bad, toilet condition very bad no hot water, water sink ploged, no sampoo, very bad soap, very bad tessiu . air condition was working after that switched off to (saving money) while it was so coold at night. curtains was too short and very ragy. The beds fall down every night for my childern, with very dirty bed sheets and does not change along the days. very bad TV. Room not cleaned. And should be brakefast, was very bad bread and only pens.

Review 15:Not safe!!! Outsider locals are welcome to go into the rooms withoutsurvaillance. Our room door was opened late at night by a local andthere was no safety guards at the hotel to help us. We wanted to checkout the next day due to the incident but we were charged full 3 daycharge (we were told booking.com charges the hotel whether we stay thefull 3 days or not)

Review 16:Varying temperature of shower water. Poor "wet strength" oftoilet paper, which was the same in public toilets. The hastle fromtouts at monuments and in the street.

Review 17:The glass wall of the passenger lift, showing a mural as it moved. TheEgyptian wine.

Review 18:bathrooms rather basic and run down, shower Staff very uninterested in providing service, especially at breakfast which is poor. Hassle outside the hotel (and in all of Luxor) is relentless

Review 19:comfortable bedroom and a good location. Very good value for the price

Review 20:Rooms were sub standard, shower tray dirty and cracked and oozed dirt when you stood on it. Beds uncomfortable .Yes IT WAS cheap but needs to still be clean

Review 21:The room was clean but the floor of the shower was stained. The door of the room did not lock properly (chain was broken)

Review 22:Friendly staff, great location, nice rooms with balcony. Free WiFi. Lovely pool and sundeck though we did not use them.

Review 23:Lack of maintenance for several years now as the tourist recession has a major impact on Luxor.

Review 24:Friendly staff, good value

Review 25:Some rooms are really horrible, inspect before accepting.

Review 26:Stuff was friendly.

Review 27:Frendly and helpfull personal
