Reviews for Hotel Vallibierna

Review 1：No interaction from staff, always felt like they were hiding, Never saw anyone at reception except children. Wifi non existent in rooms. Bathroom tiny, cork tiles on bath area held together with staples and tape. Shower curtain on both sides of the tiny bath made it very difficult to shower without getting it stuck to you on both sides. You have to get up at 8.00am for cooked bacon otherwise there will not be any left or it will be cold. Bread rolls not great, small hard and crumbly. Staff don't speak English which is fair enough we are in Spain, but absolutely no information in the room in either English, French or German which would help with the local area, when restaurants are open/closed, supermarket times etc. It advertises room service but this is not as we know it, it means servicing the room. No access to buy any water/coffee etc so if you forget to get water whilst you are out then a trek in to town is needed. Could be a lovely hotel but the owners don't seem that bothered about the guests, they are nice people when you do see them.

Review 3：I felt like I was a bit mislead in terms of being allowed to have a pet with us.. I brought my small dog with us and was informed that he couldn´t be in any common areas in the hotel with us. He had to be outside in the car. He was also not allowed to be in the room alone. So if we were eating breakfast, we had to put him in the car. This should be stated under the conditions of the hotel so that guests are aware. Also, the photos of the hotel show a common area with a fireplace and a library. The fireplace does not work and the common areas were locked and closed to the guests shortly after breakfast, so there was no real relaxing that could take place at the hotel.

Review 5：Hotel Vallibierna was just what we hoped for -- a high quality smaller hotel located on the edge of town but within easy walking access. The facility is beautifully done. Our room was nicely sized with a very nice bathroom, and views of the Pyrenees up the valley. The breakfast was wonderful, with a wide variety of fresh choices. This was an exceptional value -- we will stay there when we return to Benasque!
