Review 1：Room 11 was tiny, cramped with a view over the roof. We were only there for one night so took what we were given and the next morning with cleaners doing their stuff we could see other rooms were much nicer.

Review 4：Excellent location as a base for exploring the region. Family run hotel that was welcoming and pleasant. Breakfast was also excellent with great variety and quality. Pool and upgraded sections of the hotel were well presented with the older original side giving a more authentic feel. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Castellane.

Review 7：Stayed before, Rooms are small but perfectly adequate and they have a private secure carpark and cater for motorbikes very well. Breakfast is good with both hot choices and the usual continental ones.

Review 8：The only issue we had, as light sleepers, was the noise from the other rooms - particularly plumbing and other guests (why do touring female cyclists need to get up at 6.00 am in the morning if breakfast doesn't start until 7.30 am and the most they are packing is the contents of a pannier bag?).

Review 9：Our first experience of the helpful owners and staff of this hotel was excellent for whilst we were unable to check-in before 3.00 pm we got a great recommendation for lunch at Chez Jo located next to the fountain in the pedestrianised area. The recommendation we received was indicative of the helpful advice we received from the hotel for the duration of our short stay. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and whilst at EUR 14.50 per person the breakfast cost might seem a little expensive, the choice and quality of the produce (omelette made to order) represented good value. Our room was a good size and was on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The double-glazing was good - keeping out the intermittent road noise.

Review 13：The hotel is perfectly positioned in Castellane overlooking the square. We had a room looking over the pool at the rear and up to the chapel on the rock. The room was nicely decorated with a balcony. Breakfast was good with an excellent choice.

Review 14：Only minor drawback was the decor of the dining room...it felt outdated and didn't seem to match that of the rest of the Hotel, which was simple and comfortable.

Review 15：The staff at the Hotel were wonderful...very friendly, and always willing to help. The Hotel itself felt more like an Inn or Bed and Breakfast...it was very comfortable and cozy. Beds were comfortable, and room was very clean. The location is perfect...very close to the Gorge du Verdon and the town Center. We stayed for four nights. Amazing!

Review 16：After driving the winding roads up from Nice, it was like we were leaving civilization and then we came to the charming town of Castellane and were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff at the Nouvel Hôtel du Commerce. Our french is poor, and everyone spoke english. The rooms were very comfortable with old world charm and views of the church on the rock. The swimming pool was a nice perk to relax and the location was perfect for the start of tour of the gorge.

Review 17：The rooms are not as pretty as the rest of the hotel but the beds are very comfy. No shampoo and just one complimetary soap was a little let down for this sort of hotel.
