Reviews for Circus Circus Las Vegas
Review 1:We were in the Manor Block for night 1 and it was ghastly. It's hard to overstate how bad it was. Smelly, dirty and unsafe as the door to the building was unsecured as was our window. No sign of any staff around either and some sketchy looking characters in the vicinity.
Review 2:The west tower room was nice enough.
Review 3:Did not expected to be at a parking lot away from the lobby we had building e after all that walking I recommend a trolly ride to far away rooms.
Review 4:Good location for business convention.
Review 5:Manor rooms are in fairly poor shape, and they ... had a scent. An odor. But, big bonus--they didn't smell as bad as did the halls!
Review 6:Manor rooms were fairly clean, reasonably quiet.
Review 7:- inroom tv from the middle ages - walk from Manson RV Park to hotel lobby - ac/heating fan very noisy
Review 8:- close to convention hall - 24/7 snacks & mini market - good breakfast & diner buffet - cheaper prices compared to others during CES - good room - not new, but clean
Review 9:Rotting smell in hallway. Room smelled like cigarettes. TV remote dead. Bed has worn out springs. Far from many other locations.
Review 10:Heater works. Dead location meant normal Uber prices.
Review 11:Thought I was getting a room at Circus Circus and turns out I was getting a room at the Circus Circus Manor, which is a dumpy 3 story motel like structure next door.
Review 12:This hotel is in major need of a HIGE refurbishment. I find it super depressing to walk around this place - the old carpet, the old walls, the old games...
Review 13:The only redeeming factor of this hotel was it was near the convention center.
Review 14:The location is about .6 miles from the main strip but it is still absolutely wonderful. A short taxi ride or with a large group, you could walk. There was a weird smell in between the casino and the elevators for the rooms. The sales people are very pushy at the little places like the nail counter and what not! Definitely no views lol
Review 15:The stay was excellent! We stayed in the Casino tower anf it was very nice. We had an issue with our safe being locked upon arrival, they handled it within 10 minutes from start to finish.
Review 16:The rooms, corridors were very dirty. The air was very stuffy and the carpet was very dirty. The sheets were clean but the rest was disappointing. They did not have any fridge, and the parking was a big problem. We were located at the "Manor" so it was not even the part of the actual hotel. It was very expensive for what we got.
Review 17:I was excited to stay in a casino.
Review 18:We didn't have towels in room 2230-,2231 at the Manor when we requested they told us they ran out of towels! Highly unacceptable! We complained about the noise at 1-2-3-4 am but nothing happened.
Review 19:If you have children this is a great place. Quick to respond to fix the light switch and outlet in the bathroom.
Review 20:bath tub kept clogging up.bed sheets made my body itch very bad through out the stay and bathing soap is terrible made my body itch more n made my skin very dry.
Review 21:slots,entertainment.
Review 22:The room smells bad, and the building are nasty. Berry disgusting whit the hotel and the manager.
Review 23:I don't like nothing. And the manager has a bad character.
Review 24:lack of frigde in room was a bummer, found left over item under foot stool 3 days into visit (hadn't moved it)
Review 25:Restaurants were very good, employees were friendly. Room was average.
Review 26:Blackjack tables and fun area was nice but rooms way to far and outside of casino. Went there for daughters 21st Birthday and not even a free buffet for her, was also my husbands birthday. Send me tickets for free food, rooms at floor level INSIDE not outside of the entire casino. We all got sick because was too fat in the cold wind
Review 27:Initially when we turned up to our room we found 15 people in it who had made a huge mess. After requesting another room and waiting over an hour for someone to help us we were upgraded which was good. Room was okay. The worst bit was the hotel stunk so incredibly bad, it was disgusting. Lastly I would recommend staying closer to the centre of the strip, it was a bit of a hike every day in and out.
Review 28:Not in center of things. To walk its a ways. That's the only reason did not like location.
Review 29:clean updated rooms. clean bathroom, clean smelling, plenty of towels. staff very nice and helpful, easy check out. Buffet very good, staff good customer service.
Review 30:Don't really have anything to complain about.
Review 31:The staff was very friendly and very helpful. That was great customer service all the way around. My hats off to them for that.
Review 32:One thing I didn't like is that my hotel room wasn't actually in the hotel and casino. With the money I paid, they should have given me a room in the hotel, not outside of it. Its on the outside of them in a building connected to the hotel.
Review 33:If you have kids, then this would be the best hotel to come stay in. It has arcades,a theme park, and much more fun games for children to play.
Review 34:main lobby looked run down, dirty and in desperate need of renovation. Rooms looked a bit run down but everything was clean
Review 35:Great value. Great place for kids
Review 36:Hotel is very dirty. Heater was broken. Got smoking room instead of nonsmoking. Key wasnt working. Parking inconvenient. Many guests made noise during the night. Some guests look very scary
Review 37:Manager is nice and helpful
Review 38:The Manor lodge is an older facility probably for people who're in there in their RVs. The people next to our room were loud and fought with each other on Wednesday Morning so we couldn't sleep. The shower faucet needs repair as you cannot control the hot/cold water flow to your liking. The mattress need replacement.
Review 39:The room rate was economical.
Review 40:Not breastfeeding friendly. I had to pay $20 a night for a fridge to store pumped breast milk. After talking to the rude staff I gladly cancled my reservations for the next weekend! I highly suggest spending a little more and staying at the Paris hotel!
Review 41:Over 50 people waiting line to get checked in to the hotel and there was only two people working. The upgraded room I was given was filthy. Hair on the bathroom floor, shower and the sheats. The exterior window was so filthy that there wasn't a view. TVs are outdated, as is the entire hotel. Four of the slot machines I was on malfunctioned, which made me have to wait for long periods to get help. The amount of smoke in the air was nauseating. I wanted to complain from the beginning to the moment I check out, but I didn't have the time to wait in their understaffed line.
Review 42:The feeling I had when I was driving away from the place knowing I wouldn't be going back.
Review 43:A little more attention could have been paid to the cleanliness of the bathroom in the room, just felt like it needed a good scrub and the tub did not drain well.
Review 44:Everyone was friendly.
Review 45:Entrance of the main building had a very weird smell. Swimming pool was closed during our stay and gym is really very small!
Review 46:The room in the SkyRise Tower was really clean and very comfortable.
Review 47:It didn't provide a microwave or fridge (maybe at a fee, we didn't ask). The hotel value was good but everything in the hotel, food, drinks, etc., added up quickly.
Review 48:We stayed in the West Tower and had a nice view. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the amusements. The staff was always friendly and helpful. There was a locked storage area for luggage if you have a late flight (our so 10:30 p.m) so this was a very added benefit.
Review 49:The basic rooms could use a renovation, rooms were clean but some maitenance was noticeably required. McDonald's in particular has no restroom amenities for sanitation purposes. It was very unpleasant to eat and not have a basic facility to use to wash my hands. Should not matter if the customer pays for a basic or upgraded room...The manor buildings should not look like lower class rooms. Excalibur hotel probably generates as much revenue as circus circus the simplicity for the economical rooms was a much better stay. All the generated funds from the consumers gambling at the casino could be invested into making the manor a better stay. Honestly most of the casino is outdated in my opinion.
Review 50:Unspected entertainment from the circus shows. The food franchises throughout the hotel were priced rather reasonably.
Review 51:This was truly bothersome. I even heard multiple people with children complaining about second hand smoke just walking around and even in the restaurants while we were eating. If it were possible to close them off with windows and a door, that would make a huge difference and no doubt bring a higher class crowd and encourage people with children and non smokers to stay longer and spend more money. The smoke was just overwhelming. Makes it feel dirty. IMHO of course. I'm not a smoker.
Review 52:Tower rooms much better than manor lodging. Room was clean and free of smells. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Valet was quick and friendly as well.
Review 53:Place is old and dirty. Parking is hectic because it's so crowded during the holiday season. The men restroom by the lobby is uncleaned, and men restroom near the far end of the casino is also uncleaned. No sanitize seat cover, so I had to substitute toilet paper for the seat cover. There are not enough staff to take care of these common issue. The first room I checked in where the air condition doesn't work and had no hot water. I had to wait in a long line to get the room changed. The room is okay compare to a motel 5 or other budget motel. I didn't tried the Buffet because there a long line and menu looks like an average Hometown Buffet but only over price. To be honest, I will not come back here again. For the same price and cleanest, I would rather book at another Casino near by.
Review 54:The price is comparable to a budget motel.
Review 55:This place is a dump! 80's carpet and rooms, smelled horrible, spend a little more money and get a nicer place.
Review 56:there is nothing positive to say, I just paid $300 and the guy sleeping under the overpass next to the hotel had a nicer room!
Review 57:Resort fees are almost as much as the rooms some nights more than the room. The rooms were out dated. The shower had mold. The beds weren't very comfortable. And they wanted $30 per night for a mini fridge.
Review 58:Wasn't too crowded.
Review 59:We didn't find the smile on the face of the employe who was check in us. And nobody had a red noze , for a Circus Circus it's kind of dissipointed :).
Review 60:The new attraction El Loco.
Review 61:I had to extend my stay one more night , I request them on time they said there system was down . I went after few hours they said room not available . Upone my request another lady try to help me . She booked room but it does not connected with my booking as previous booking . 2nd was completely different price was different and got lots of stress to countinue same room . Next time I should not book via booking.com , it is not relaible .
Review 62:Good location with kids .
Review 63:This place is disgusting and is only a good idea if you're the type of person who wants to do Vegas in your sweat pants. It took us 45 minutes just to park because there were so many families in mini vans and people kept stopping in the middle of the parking lot to drop off their families. Once inside it felt more like a Walmart on Black Friday than a fun hotel. We were upgraded to a "deluxe" room that featured a yellowed bed, a filthy couch and a greasy remote that I'm pretty sure is responsible for my pink eye. The kicker is that they charge a resort fee. The only resort this could be considered is a last one.
Review 64:The staff here was very nice.
Review 65:I hated that we ended reserving a "Manor Lodge" suite, meaning it is located separate from the casino & its towers, with a view of an abandoned parking lot. The walk is incredibly long and the electric walkways are usually off.
Review 66:Odds of winning are greater at this casino and the circus acts are great
Review 67:I have stayed in this hotel years ago and had a great experience and thought it would be fun to return return with the kids, since they have a lot of kids' attractions. We were given two rooms in "the manor" which is a series of two story buildings next to an RV park, a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms were in despicable state: one room was not clean and the house keepers said: "we'll clean it right now". It took them less than 5 minutes which means they literally just changed the sheets. We reserved two rooms with two queen beds, however one of the rooms only had twin beds. One of the rooms was reeking of cigarette smell and they both were dirty and clearly with no maintenance whatsoever as they were stains on the walls, ceilings, bathrooms etc. This place does not even measure up to a Motel 6 standard! Considering that we payed over $300 for both rooms for a one night stay it is just outrageous! You can stay for the same amount of money in so many nice hotels in Vegas!! When I called the front desk I was on hold for ten minutes. I finally hung up and called again only to talk to a rude "supervisor" who said that nothing could be done because they were fully booked in the main towers. When I suggested that we just leave and get a refund she said that we are welcome to leave but won't get our money back. My parents traveled 3000 miles to spend this vacation with us and I am so disappointed that their stay in Vegas had to be so lousy. Please do not waist your money on this place!
Review 68:Nothing!!!!
Review 69:The elevators in some parts of the hotel were a bit questionable as they seemed to be a bit outdated and in need of renovation to ensure smoother transitions.
Review 70:The hotel is very family/children orientated with the Midway and Adventuredome. The staff were also all lovely and willing to assist in any way.
Review 71:food was terrible and the staff at those food area was terrible as well. unfriendly and rude at times.
Review 72:cocktail waitress at the table games was friendly and fast.
Review 73:Being bugged every time by the people promoting things.Went to the buffet and thought we were going to breakfast and had to pay brunch prices.
Review 74:Lamps with outlets on the night stands for cell phone chargers.
Review 75:There was a roach in my room and the staff said she could remove like not big deal i was upset and transfer room then they made mistake try to tell me that i was leaving whrn i was reserve for another day
Review 76:Location good for my kids
Review 77:The hotel is very old, smells and is not clean.
Review 78:Location on the main strip is good but still it is too far from everything. But it is the cheapest hotel on the strip.
Review 79:Apparently from airport dont have a transfer like many other hotels but thats not sure! Maybe I ve got wrong the info. Anyway I took a privat shuttle to the amazing hotel circus circus
Review 80:Everything is an espectacular place. Love that vintage espectacular Vegas style!! So friendly staff. You can print your flying ticket directly from the registration hall. A great confort. They gave me even a better room cause was a strange sound coming from the toilet. Excellent facilities and staff
Review 81:The fact there is no monorail direct access, although it's not far from Westgate (15 min walk)
Review 82:The decent prices The free shows downstairs The restaurants on the location
Review 83:The other motels had a better setup for dining. I like my choices all in one area.
Review 84:Cleanliness. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff.
Review 85:We didn't have any view.. Could See another building. Thats it. Remember savings... Things for kids gets expensive really fast! And the off-prise-katalog is a blow off.
Review 86:Lots of things to try for kids!!
Review 87:Rooms carpets no good,no microwave ,and no refrigerator for people's who come for more then one night and also the view is horrible
Review 88:Staff friendly
Review 89:There was a time there where it was like only one elavator in the west tower was working, myself and several other guest had a quite lengthy wait!! Other than that things were good.
Review 90:What I liked about your facility is that everything you really need is there, I didn't have to leave for anything if I didn't want to. It's really kid friendly and very affordable.
Review 91:The sheets on the bed are tacky. But hey I slept alright.
Review 92:The location is not in the heart of the strip but it's not very far either. The buffet is really good. WiFi is free and OK.
Review 93:I didn't have a bad experience ....it was just that there was the same long hairs laying on the bathroom floor for my 3 day stay and I found it pretty disgusting .....and the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned and I hate dirty mirrors....I know it sounds a petty remark but I do like clean bathrooms. ...I don't want to get the lady in charge in trouble because she has a lot work ....but maybe a next customer might not be so happy .......there was too much smoke down stairs and a stale smell ..it didn't motivate me stay and play on the machines...but I guess that smoking comes with gambling soy opinion there doesn't really count....
Review 94:Very friendly employees and very helpful showing me around when I got lost....very polite too....
Review 95:Toilet was dirty, tub did not drain, safe was detached from wall and unusable, light in luggage area did not work, stains on bed and no extra outlets to charge devices. No security in garrage area which had a homeless family living out of a car. The prices for food was ridiculous and the quality and choices at the buffet was terrible.
Review 96:Activities for children.
Review 97:Everything is okay and the hotel is one of the cheapest hotels at the strip area. Close to the Fashion Mall, 7eleven, Walgreens etc. Big bus stop is located near the hotel entrance.
Review 98:You are bombarded by timeshare salespeople (Diamond) as you walk in the door and are made to believe they are bringing you to check-in, but they are bringing you to a sales counter. Restaurants are way overpriced, and the buffet was mediocre at best. (Monday night)
Review 99:Nice room, especially considering the price we paid.
Review 100:HAD TROUBLE GETING TO THE RESORT BECAUSE OF THE MARATHON RUNNING ON THE STRIP....
Review 101:ITWAS A VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY , I HAD A NICE TIME ! I LIKED THE CIRCUS ACTS THAT I SAW .. THEY HAVE GOOD FOOD , AND FUN THINGS TO DO AT CIRCUS CIRCUS .
Review 102:had to walk a lot to the venetian where my meeting was.... would have been good to have a shuttle... also lost lot in the casino which never gave a good odds..hahah
Review 103:the value for money room and the upkeep of the room... and also was quiet...
Review 104:They still need to replace the carpets in the check in lobby.
Review 105:Was put in sky tower, 13th floor, nice view. bedding and towels very nice, flat screen, nice desk to work on, carpets pretty new. Marble bathroom, very nice
Review 106:Walking all the way to other side just to get extra key after walking the strip need another check in just for manor building
Review 107:Everything keep up the great work Housekeeper are awesome
Review 108:Hotel/rooms are old looking/feeling. Needs a DEEP CLEANING! Carpet& drapes need to be upgraded.
Review 109:My daughter had her birthday party at Adventure Dome. So to make things easier we also got a room. Adventure Dome is great for the kid's!
Review 110:The room was nothing like the website showed. Altho is it was non smoking. The room smelled like old smoke, old and musty. My first time at circus circus. Disappointed. Love Vegas but will be my last time at circus circus checked out day early.
Review 111:This hotel was dirty, smelly (I.E., vomit in the casino carpet), had badair filtration, and was pretty much like an old frat house withclientele just as raucous. I didn't feel safe, I couldn'tbreathe, at the casino floor bars the music was loud as a disco, therewere stains on my bedspread and the printed pieces in my room werecrusty. Yes, all staffers were great but the place itself was gross andI couldn't stay as long as planned.
Review 112:Anyone I spoke to, from front desk to security to shop clerks, was veryapproachable and helpful.
Review 113:The rooms in building C in the Manor is very noisy either from the street direction or from the guest rooms when they close the door of the room is completely disturbing the others
Review 114:The Customer service was poor and the lady was really rude to us , it did look like I'm going to stay over her house but not at the hotel !!!
Review 115:Nothing!!!
Review 116:The Manor walls were thin enough to hear conversations in the room next door. The decor, although clean enough, was pretty outdated and worn. That being said, for the money and convenience of location to my conference I would stay there again.
Review 117:I stayed at the Manor, which is a motel owned by Circus Circus, located right by Circus. I liked staying there because it was away from the casino atmosphere which suited me better as I was in Vegas for a conference. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very professional and accommodating.
Review 118:Location was a little away from the main strip and also too many families as the place lacked a bit of atmosphere.
Review 119:Room was good and the price was good.
Review 120:The location was not in the actual Circus Circus Hotel, it was off site with the RV Park nearby the actual Hotel.
Review 121:housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly.
Review 122:-- I just don’t like the overall ambiance of this place. I chose this hotel merely because my tour bus provided pick-up from this hotel only, of all hotels at the Strip. -- This place is a maze. Hotel lobby is at the back of the 1st floor. After checking in, you have to go to 2nd floor, passing stores and children playground and small casino and what-not and ah, finally find the elevator to your room floor (West tower). -- Casino is a SMOKING area with Nevada’s smoking ban law explained on the wall? There are children’s open playground above the smoking casino open area! And you should NOT allow smoking inside an air-conditioned room, nevermind the large floor size. -- I told the check-in concierge that once checking out, I’d like to store my luggage (1, cabin-size) and she said it would be free of charge. NOT. The luggage bell boy asked for $3 cash, no receipt, nowhere in the luggage counter saying we have to pay $3. Hey, if you’re asking for tips, I would have given it once I picked up the luggage! -- Location: far from the main Strip, but it’s fine if you like to walk, or you can take a taxi. I intended to walk from Tropicana/Excalibur (one end) to this hotel (the other end) to enjoy the Strip. Without stopping by for pictures/shopping, it might take an hour or so.
Review 123:I stayed at the West tower. Room was (thankfully) fine and spacious. No problem with the water, aircon/heater, TV. No microwave/fridge. I didn’t try the WiFi, afraid to be disappointed (read my negative review). Well, for the cheap price, I guess you just have to overcome the negatives. During booking, hotel charged my card for the room cost only, WITHOUT the resort fee, although Booking.com confirmation said total price (inclusive of whatever fee) has been charged. You have to pay the resort fee during check-in. Ensure to check your card statement before you arrive, otherwise you’d end up arguing with the check-in concierge (I think I read at least a guest review here saying so). McDonalds and a pizza restaurant are adjacent. Around 10-15 minutes walk there is a small plaza with 24-hour Wallgreens, Chinese/Korean restaurant, kebab halal restaurant, big souvenir stores.
Review 124:The outlets weren't working and the bathroom light had a weird tint. It was really loud. You can hear everything through the walls and door.
Review 125:The bed was comfy and the bathroom was a good size.
Review 126:Don't like circus circus. I was booked for King room and I got my room as a double queen and bad view. I was call the staff. And asked for room change but nothing they can't do. Such a bad hotels I ever stayed.
Review 127:Bad hotel.
Review 128:Very thin walls. Noise from other rooms. Hotel did not address the noisemakers instead offered to move us. This is not convenient in the middle of the night
Review 129:Friendly staff
Review 130:If circus circus like it all
Review 131:I like most to stay at manor place not only i got a good $ deal with the room but out of worrying to stay on high stories building thank circus circus
Review 132:Considering this is an MGM resort, I expected a little bit more for how it looks! The rooms we clean & very spacious, no worries there, but the hallway carpet needed cleaning every day but it wasn't. The carpet needs replacing, the carpet in the lobby needs replacing. These 2 changes will take it a long way.
Review 133:Very Family oriented!
Review 134:It is 30 min walk from here to the central, busiest part of the strip.
Review 135:The casino offers free shows, very large and comfortable bedrooms and a shuttle service to and from the airport.
Review 136:The smell of the hallways and lingering odor in belongings when at home. Hearing the talking and noise from adjoining rooms.
Review 137:Easy access to room from personal vehicle. Spaciousness of the room. Very comfortable beds.
Review 138:Place was a little run down and one of the only two elevators was out of service for a short while.
Review 139:We went for my husband's 4th birthday, after learning of this the front desk gave us and upgrade free of charge.
Review 140:The hotel is a dump. It's old. It seems as if it hasn't been updated or renovated at all since the 1970s. In addition, I was given mixed messages by guest registration. Three different ones. My mother paid for this trip through booking.com. I called the hotel in advance and asked if we needed to present her credit card or anything before my arrival, because I did not have the money to pay for the room myself. I was informed by a woman at guest registration that I was all set and no money would need to be exchanged upon my arrival. However, when I arrived, I was told I had to pay $370 for the remaining portion of my room, and that only one night had been billed to my mother's credit card. So for fear of sleeping on the street, I had to use the little money I had to pay. The original room I was given was in the RV park. I had to walk at least a block, in a dark alley, at 1am, alone, as a young woman to reach my room. When I reached my room, the building was unlocked and felt completely unsafe. My room was dirty and dank. After calling registration to complain, a woman upgraded my room. The next morning I called registration again to ask about the miscommunication about my mother's credit card and payment. She informed me that because of identity theft, they do not accept full payment in any form other than in person. She also informed me that I should have actually been charged the full room rate upon my arrival the night before as opposed to just the #370. I was completely outdone. Add to that, one morning I woke up and there was no hot water on my side of the building. This hotel is awful. I have never had to write such a negative review of a hotel. I am not hard to please. If a room is clean and safe, I won't complain. But Circus Circus couldn't offer either. There are a million other hotels in Las Vegas to stay in. Avoid this one.
Review 141:The location was not bad. It was convenient to get to other places on the strip. One person at guest registration was also nice enough to upgrade my room for free.
Review 142:I didn't like that the rooms were away from the actual casino( across the parking lot), the price was way to high for the quality of the room, hallway floor was always sopping wet. room was very outdated and mold in the bathroom.
Review 143:cleaning crew was very nice.
