Reviews for Hotel A Tafona do Peregrino
Review 1:Very attractively refurbished small hotel with lift and automatic minuterie to get to a comfortable and not too small room. Reasonably good breakfast included in the price. Particularly helpful member of staff produced Google Map for me to locate my next hotel in Madrid.
Review 2:Stayed in 6 hotels in 7 days. Cannot separate this one from the others. Since all were good or very good, answers are generic and thus are not specific to any particular one.
Review 3:Why the administration considered that climbing over the toilet to get into the shower is beyond us! Get rid of the bidet, please, and relocate the toilet. Lighting in the room was purposely dark. Not good for those of us who wanted to see! This hotel controls the settings on the electronics. There's a small change of settings allowed when using the aircon, etc. Breakfast was nicely provided. It was typically loaded with foods that are detrimental to one's good health. Some fruit was available.
Review 4:We loved the little balcony just outside the room. Thankfully we had a room that faced the side alley. Rooms on the main road would have been so noisy.
Review 5:One very small thing. Bathroom is lovely. There is a proper shower screen around the bath which is preferable to those awful plastic things. But because it wraps all the way around - if having a bath makes it difficult to access the hot and cold taps.
Review 6:The location is excellent - in the fringes of the old town by the market. Short walk to old and new town which is good and also useful for airport bus from Plaza Gallicia. Pleasant room with a balcony. Very comfortable. Good bathroom with nice shower and bath. I would def recommend.
Review 7:Excellent location to visit the historic places in Santiago. Very inexpensive laundry service and incredible helpful staff. Public parking relatively close with a discount for hotel guesses
Review 8:The bathrooms were not up to scratch! Our shower head was broken, the hair dryer was average and kept overheating and there was mould through the tiles. Plenty of towels though!!
Review 9:The hotel room was beautiful and right next to the square where a bonfire for the San Juan festival was happening!
Review 10:Unfortunately, our first night of booking we could not make due to a delayed finish on the Camino - my mother got hurt on our last day and we did not finish on time. We stayed two more nights and were hoping because of our situation the we not be charged the night we could not stay but still were.
Review 11:The pillows were rather poor quality. The restaurant wasn't always open - but it was great when it was!
Review 12:We had a large room with a spacious terrace. Carved granite around the doors and windows gave the room a lovely solid and authentic feel. The beds were amazing.
Review 13:A little bit small bathroom, lack of space to hang the towel after the shower...
Review 14:We were very satisfied with our stay at this small chic hotel, we had room in the attic which was spacoius and it was the only room on the floor. The staff were so kind and helpfull, explained a lot about the city, and also let us check in online and print our boarding pass. Everything was great.
Review 15:Great spacious rooms and friendly staff
Review 16:The walls were a bit thin...
Review 17:Excellent staff, very friendly people. Good breakfast.
Review 18:It would be nice to have a wider range of fresh produce for breakfast.
Review 19:Really nice room, comfortable bed. Really nice helpful staff.
Review 20:Terrace. Stone interior walls.
Review 21:Location, friendly
Review 22:Gets a little crazy at breakfast can use a second person to help out
Review 23:The owners sister in law was extremely helpful. Recommended the best restaurant in the area and made sure we had soymilk for us the next morning.
Review 24:the breakfast could be richer. If the room goes to the main road it's noisy but that is true for the the whole of Spain
Review 25:nice rooms with very comfortable beds, close to city centre and bus station, very nice staff, each time I stay there, the bathroom is improved
Review 26:Inside of showers are not as clean as I would prefer.
Review 27:Great building. Nice rooms with character and decor. Handy to old city, close to central city markets. Yet far away enough from the hassle of passing tourist. Small boutique hotel with personal service. I will very much stay again.
