Review 1：This was a last minute booking. The place was a secluded spot at the end of a lake. Very short drive from the autobahn.This is the only hotel here. A quiet place to relax, bikes were great for a morning ride, breakfast was excellent,dinner and beer delicious. Room was immaculate.
Review 2：For other travellers this is a little way out of the town The mattress on one side of the bed was very lumpy and deflated. No one on reception when we arrived and had to telephone the owner - on a UK mobile phone (lucky we had it with us)

Review 5：Stayed here for 9 nights to compete in a sailing event on the lake, sailing clubs 25 metres away was a big bonus. Restaurant very good (a German menu translator would help), very big portions! Very near Lake Steinhude, boat trips, good cycling route round lake. Staff tried very hard with their English and did everything to make our stay comfortable. We booked a double room but were upgraded at no extra charge to the suite, super bathroom, living room and bedroom, would sleep at least 4.

Review 13：No shops around. As the hotel restaurant opens only from 5pm in winter,one should walk at least 2 km to reach nearest shop to have a bite. Ifthe weather is fine the walk can be enjoyable though.
Review 14：Wonderful and peaceful area, fresh air, untouched nature, very beautifullake nearby. The hotel is extremely cozy, comfortable and nicelydecorated, it feels like home. There are only 6 rooms in the hotel,which makes it feel so peaceful. Cuisine is very tasty at affordableprices. Fresh fish is worth tasting. All stuff is friendly and pleasant,some of them also can speak english. At first we were surprised when wearrived to the hotel at 8 pm and it was closed, noone was at thereception. Then we found out we have to call a number written on thefront door to get instructions where to take the our keys. That wasbasically the check-in procedure :-) we discovered some staff in thehotel only in the morning when we came down for breakfast. Breakfastsand great, with good selection of chesses and smoked salmon. It is thebest place to have a few days of escape from noice of the city.

Review 17：They should get their logistics sorted out: on the second day of ourstay, there was no breakfast at all. The day before, the lady runningthe hotel confirmed us that there would be breakfast at 7h30 as severalguests had to leave early. At 8h30 there was still no one to servebreakfast.So together with other guests we had to leave without breakfast and were quite disappointed, especially as we checked out and paid for the breakfast the night before. I wasn't going to post a negative comment, but afterwards there was no response to my complaint (not even a mail apologizing for the mistake). All together, for a hotel in their price-range I would expect better service.
