El Peiron descritpion
Surround yourself in the Medieval atmosphere of this historic hotel, which forms part of the old city walls of this ancient town in the countryside of Aragon.
The building of El Peirón dates from the 17th century, and many charming, original features remain to this day. Its sturdy, stone walls contain an enchanting venue, blending traditional Spanish elements with the facilities of a 21st-century hotel.
Each of the hotel’s rooms has been carefully designed to preserve the historic feel while adding amenities such as hydromassage showers, Wi-Fi internet and state-of-the-art lighting.

Reviews for El Peiron
Review 1:I would think it would be impossible to have a bad experience here.
Review 2:El Peiron was our first stop travelling down through Spain and it was the most beautiful place, we only wished we had been able to stay longer. We have told all our friends and will certainly be going back
Review 3:The wifi signal wasn' t strong enough in the room and we should expect a restaurant in such an hotel but the hotel only provides a breakfast.
Review 4:The room and the bathroom are spacious, clean and comfortable and equipped with modern tasteful furniture. The beds are top. The location is very good for some cultural walks in the little town and hiking in the gorges. Visiting Pamplona is only 40 km away. The staf is very helpfully and friendly.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Friendly staff very attentive Room 13 was superb with separate lounge over cobbled lane In centre of old town close to the few bars / restaurants
Review 7:We easily found the parking place close to the hotel. There are guided tours available from the museum/tourist office but we enjoyed exploring the narrow streets and the central tower on our own and finding ancient stone carvings and forgotten corners. For dinner we were lucky to get the last available table at La Cocina del Principal (pre-booking is recommended) where we enjoyed the 'tasting' menu (a small-ish portion of nine different dishes). Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. One night was sufficient to see the town, but we'd have liked more to explore the area around.
Review 8:The bed was very springy and uncomfortable, similar to sleeping on a sofa bed. Glad we only stayed for one night because the charm of it being a castle quickly wore off when we tried to fall asleep.
Review 9:Fantastic location in a historic building
Review 10:Beds bit hard and basin surround was small and tended to get covered in water. Hot water took ages to come through.
Review 11:Location right in amazing mediaeval town - very atmospheric. Big enchanting room.
Review 12:Would have liked to be able to get a cup of tea in the room. Also the wifi sometimes went in and out in the room but was good in the reception area.
Review 13:The staff were excellent in their willingness to be helpful. The room was gorgeous and furnished to a high standard.
Review 14:We would have prefered a room with a brighter and better view. Ours looked at an interior courtyard, which wouldn't have been our choice.
Review 15:A lovely find in this medieval town. Parking nearby and easy to find. Our room modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was plenty and enjoyable. The town is quiet and offers a good selection of affordable restaurants. The hotel will help you choose one that suits you. Inside the reception, was so cool and reminded me of a beautiful wine cellar with the thick stone walls and marble floors. Exceptionally clean and decor boutique. Do check out the hotel pictures online.
Review 16:Location in the very heart of Sos Del Ray, immaculately clean, very helpful staff, smelt wonderful. Lovely breakfast and room was beautifully designed and decorated.
Review 17:The staff reacted to us with the utmost care, which is hard to imagine! We had a problem with car. Staff of hotel helped us late into the night and left us only after the rental company has not replaced car. Nasha gratitude knew no bounds! Everything else was also at the highest level! We strongly recommend that all this is the place!
Review 18:there is no wifi connection possible in the rooms. The quality of the. Wifi connection in the lounge is not reliable.
Review 19:The quality of the room(s) was/ were outstanding. ( we were asked to change rooms) The location is fantastic.
Review 20:We didn't have a 'bad' experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it but our air-conditioning didn't work (we went in July and it was needed). They offered us another room but not of the same standard as we had booked and no discount for the faulty a/c. Fruit at breakfast please!!
Review 21:The quality of the furniture and fittings is excellent! The rooms are immaculate and every detail is thought through. Really excellent. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming and pleased to help.
Review 22:WiFi was not consistent and inaccessible in parts of our room.
Review 23:Great location, excellent staff, wonderful breakfast. Immaculate room with large full bathroom; beautiful stone building; family-run with pride and care. Air conditioning helped us survive Spanish heat-wave.
Review 24:The green plastic door knobs on the wardrobe! Wifi was not working for my tablet, but did work on others.
Review 25:Excellent location in the town. Sense of antiquity, but with modern conveniences. Good decor. Simple, but good breakfast.
Review 26:Having to leave , we could happily stay for ever.
Review 27:The hotel is superb , spotlessly clean and in a super location for sight seeing. One of the best we have stayed in.
Review 28:Finding a parking space is a bit of a challenge, but this is a very small price to pay to stay in this wonderful hotel.
Review 29:Large well equipped room with comfortable bed and good separate shower room. Hotel has lift, so no lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs. Excellent customer service from welcoming helpful staff. Good breakfast, and were able to leave suitcases in reception whilst we visited this enchanting place on the morning of our departure.
Review 30:This hotel is just inside the walls of the old town. Our room was large and decorated in keeping with the age of the sensitively renovated stone building.
Review 31:Tiny down side is that there was no kettle in the room but this seems to be the case everywhere we have stayed in Spain
Review 32:We liked everything. The room was warm and inviting, we were soaked through on arrival so that was very welcome. The family who run it were very friendly. Our room had a tiny balcony and another window both of which had views over the twisty street. This is a place of quiet charm, if you enjoy history and splendid views visit El Pieron
Review 33:Everything was great!
Review 34:After a 200 mile journey from Andorra, we booked ourselves into the El Peiron, hot and tired. It was refreshing to stand at the desk in the very cool Reception and be efficiently signed- in and welcomed by the owner. Our room (26) had a small balcony overlooking the main street and we opened the balcony doors, stood on the balcony, sipped our wine and let the world pass by. El Peiron is a beautiful building in the hilltop town of Sos. Sadly, dinner in the Vinaqula was awful and should be avoided at all costs. Breakfast in the El Peiron was very pleasant and offered a fair range to choose from. However, the effort to drive to Sos is not commensurate with the limited value of going there. Nevertheless, Hotel Perion is highly recommended. New, family owned, pristine condition, lovely fluffy towels, everything works and a nice view out to the surrounding countryside.
Review 35:Nothing it was wonderful.
Review 36:Amazing accommodation - building stunning and superior room of a very very high standard. Owner very friendly despite not that much english, she called her son to help her and he was so kind. Stayed one night and got to see all of the town which is also very attractive. Breakfast was included and just what we needed. Parking on the street was easy and close to hotel. This is a hidden gem in Spain!
Review 37:Friday morning was somewhat noisy from about 6.30 am as all the rubbish bins from the town seemed to be wheeled across the cobble stones to just outside our window for collection that morning! It is what it is.
Review 38:The staff were lovely and even though we couldn't speak Spanish and Leandro (?) couldn't speak much English we had no trouble communicating! At times google translate helped. Accommodation was lovely, we had the suite, and loved the wee balcony. Very relaxing and quiet and close to the wonderful La cocina del Principal restaurant for evening meals. El Peiron provided very good breakfasts in the morning as part of the price as well.
Review 39:A minor detail: we missed fresh baked bread in the otherwise excellent breakfast buffet.
Review 40:The location in the Zaragoza tower in the city wall. Everything is well integrated in the very old building and you will hardly notice the modern hotel from the outside. We can only praise the staff and the hotel. We dined all 3 nights in the cafe just outside the hotel (Landa Terraza). The cafe serves a good menu de dia and on a terrace with a great view. The village is very authentic old and charming. The village is well situated for excurisions with car in the area. Parking was unproblematic (in mid September).
Review 41:Parking could be a problem, though we found space right by the hotel.
Review 42:Sos is a lovely old town. The hotel is situated in the centre, in an oldbuilding that has modern décor. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room.
Review 43:Nothing, it was a lovely place to stay and we hope to return one day!
Review 44:Very nice boutique style hotel. The building is obviously very old but has been very tastefully modernised inside. Lovely bedroom with superb bathroom. The shower was excellent. The lady who greeted us on arrival did not speak any english but we managed to communicate with the odd spainish word and some sign language! No restaurant so only breakfast served which was very good but we found an excellent local restaurant a short walk from the hotel called La Cocina.
Review 45:Wi fi only in lobby
Review 46:We liked everything! Just like in the pictures

Review 96:Outstanding experience. The host was very helpful in providing travel tips and assistance. Nearby free parking in front of the post office was great. Breakfast was good.
Review 97:This beautiful hotel is located in the fascinating town of Sos del Rey Catolica. The hotel is decorated in the best of taste and is so comfortable. Breakfast is abundant and of a wonderful variety. The staff member we had most to do with Sarah is a great asset to the hotel and was fantastic. We recommend this hotel and town highly.
Review 98:Our stay was too short! Parking was a bit of a problem but then the original town planning was not done with cars in mind!!! The altitude can be a bit challenging for some.
Review 99:Quality, The location in the old town. The breakfast. The warmth of the staff and the quality of the advice offered.
Review 100:Not much English spoken by some staff (maybe not too many foreign tourists?). Very hard to find anywhere to eat in the old town in early Nov 2013, we had frozen spaghetti noodle "paella" at a bar!! No English translations of any displays at the Tourist Info (birthplace and Palace ofFerdinand).
Review 101:Charming and quaint and full of character. Expertly renovated old building with all modern fittings and bathrooms right in the old town. Attention to detail eg special shampoos, fresh home made breakfast items, fresh flowers, classical music. Quite a treat.
Review 102:Nothing - I had no criticism of any aspect of the hotel.
Review 103:The quality of both the hotel and the service together with an excellent position in the old town.
Review 104:The hotel is an old typical building in the old town that has recently been renovated beautifully. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was big, modern designed, with a splendid and huge shower enclosure. The breakfast was delicious, with home made cakes and wide variety of sweet and savoury specialities. It's a family run hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. We had to change our reservation in the last minute and they made it very easy for us and didn't charge us for the spare night. I would recommend this hotel as the best one in the area.
Review 105:Leaving
Review 106:The setting is magical. The building is medieval but has been converted into a hotel to a very high standard. Wonderful breakfast. Fairy tale views. Delightful staff. The room is luxurious and unbelievably well priced.
Review 107:The hotel and staff cannot be faulted,
Review 108:This hotel and all the staff are the very best. When our car broke down they could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to ease a stressful situation. Our hearfelt thanks go to each and every one of the staff. The rooms are comfortable and attractive and the breakfast is wonderful and served with a beautiful smile. We would love to come back.
Review 109:Only stayed one night en route from Bilbao to Llafranc so we didn't have time to explore the area.
Review 110:Absolutely wonderful B&B and the owners were charming. The stylish renovations fitted perfectly with the beautiful old building.
Review 111:Spacious room excellent bathroom spotlessly clean great location and hotel owner could not be more helpful. Our next trip will be planned so we can stay here again.

Review 113:Quality of architectural finish; location; people were very friendly, the lady on reception when we a arrived could have been my mother - really pleasent and helpful even with our collective language challenges. And the young girl who served us at breakfast went out of her way to assist..... thanks. Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional!!!
Review 114:Great hotel to stay in everything was excellent however difficult to find many restaurants open for dinner on a Sunday night. Beautiful village to explore. Breakfast very, very good.
Review 115:Dustbins emptied in the car park 3 floors below at 730am was a shame as the balcony and view were lovely! Parking could be an issue but will be resolved soon!
