Reviews for Hotel Alfar

Review 1:The bed was a bit too soft for my liking and the linen not of a great quality, but these things did not spoil our stay which was enjoyable. The resort was very quiet when we visited in very late May as the summer season had not started.

Review 2:Our room had a balcony with great views of a sandy cove and the bay. The staff were efficient and polite. The gentleman who served us in the cafeteria was particularly helpful. The indoor pool in the basement of the hotel was warm and included a spa.

Review 3:Right on the beach with balcony to front.Fantastic location. Clean, practical room. Really excellent value for money. Staff were most helpful and friendly.

Review 4:Bed and pillow not the best.breakfast coffee and bread.

Review 5:Value for money.close to the ocean good cafe.

Review 6:The views of the room are fabulous.

Review 7:The environment and the Usla village are wonderful, a Paradise

Review 8:Very good location, comfortable rooms, beautiful panoramic view

Review 9:Rooms need a bit of renewal on several details (only as an example the shower courtains). And breakfast should offer simple and good bread instead all those industrial sweet bakeries.

Review 10:The location is perfect and it is the reason why I go to this hotel once a year.

Review 11:The beds were sub standard in length and very old. The bathrooms were very run down and our shower curtain was ripped. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had in 30 years of travelling in Spain, toast and cheap jam and a tea urn filled with very diluted filter coffee. The staff spoke no English and were very unhelpful and unwelcoming. We waited 10 minutes to check-in after a 8 hour car journey as the desk was unmanned. Not a great start to our stay.

Review 12:The location is superb as long as you have a room with a sea view, we had 2 rooms of which one overlooked a car park and was very overlooked by an apartment building, the other had picture postcard views.

Review 13:The beds are very bad and need to be changed. I woke up with a sore neck everyday because of the bed and pillow. The rooms do not have air conditioning, so they are very hot and with little circulation of air. Our bathroom had a slow water leak and everyday we had a puddle of water in the corner of the bathroom. The woman working in reception in the afternoon is very cold and quite rude. This hotel is more like a low quality hostel.

Review 14:The hotel is right on the beach.

Review 15:The 2 rooms suite have not balcon and seaview, the dishes are dirty, refrigerator small the furniture are very old and uncomfortable is verynoisy, the garbagge was pick up every morning at 7

Review 16:The hotel is on the beach a supermarket "Lupa" is near by200 meters

Review 17:We lived in appartments on the 1st floor ( # 1105 ). And it was permanent smell of gas there during working hours of restaurant.

Review 18:The location is very good - just on the beach. The hotel stays on the edge of Isla - so you avoid crowds of people, and it was very quit there. You for sure need a car to get there - no public transport at all ( free parking is available ). Very friendly staff.

Review 19:There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. We will go there again, but we will go for a longer time.

Review 20:The location was excellent. The hotel is built right on the beach, and the views from our balcony were outstanding. The staff were very helpful and friendly-particularly the head barman who spoke perfect English and had a brilliant sense of humour.

Review 21:Room and balcony overlooking sea; friendly staff coping with our lack of language skills; great head barman; closeness to the beach; tasty bar food;

Review 22:Beds and cleaning

Review 23:Location

Review 24:Good accomodation and seaside/beach location. Although quiet at this time of year staff very helpful. Good value would return
