Reviews for Los Patios

Review 1:The New Year's Eve 'special' meal was not worth the 10 euros extra supplement each (we had half board). Car parking was inconvenient & 25 euros for 2 days.

Review 2:Beautiful Andalucian hostal & restaurant in perfect location

Review 3:I didn't like the room because it was too small not enough space for a family and the beds were so close.

Review 4:lospatios was good and food was good.the Internet was not that good.

Review 5:We were first shown to a room downstairs directly off the restaurant! It would have been awful. Luckily we were able to move upstairs. Specify an upstairs room when you book.

Review 6:Hotel staff very natural. Cheap good restaurant in the hotel so no need to go out for dinner - 10% discount for guests. Nice aspect from room onto verandah upstairs.

Review 7:Getting to one's actual hotel room is a challenge. Have to pretty much squeeze through a kitchen area and then climb stairs to your assigned room. Not generally a problem but when you have a lot of luggage it would have been kind for hotel staff to help. Sadly, no one offered. Also, we drove to Cordoba and the hotel were woefully uninformed about where to park our care. There is a paid public parking garage relatively nearby and it would have been helpful if the hotel had advised. We are a family of 3 and our room consisted of 3 single beds and a wardrobe. There was no room to even turn around. Super tiny!

Review 8:The hotel property was in an awesome location.

Review 9:No real criticisms - good value for the money.

Review 10:Location right opposite the main entrance to the Mezquita. And a short walk from the Roman Bridge and Alcazar with its heavenly gardens

Review 11:Room was functional (but fairly spacious) - nothing fancy. More modest than I expected from the photos.

Review 12:Location was right across from the Mezquita - in the middle of the tourist area. Wifi connection in the room was the Best we've had on our trip so far.

Review 13:Perfect location across the street from the Mesquita. Very clean. Nice patio, typical of Andalucia. Close to restaurants and sights. Parking fairly easy across the Roman Bridge. Helpful staff. Can park in front of the entrance to unload suitcases, then look for a parking spot.

Review 14:- the room is too small and there is no window to the outside so you feel like you cannot breath and that creates a certain discomfort especially with the air conditioning flowing in a small space. - Breakfast was too meagre for what is called continental in other hotels.

Review 15:the cleaniness of the room and the green hanging on the walls in the entrance.

Review 16:Not recommendable for someone with heavy luggage because there are no lifts. The view from the window was just a white wall.

Review 17:Perfect location, very nice restaurant in a beautiful traditional patio, friendly staff, WiFi connection and good air conditioning in the room. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 18:A/C did not work (however next night the hotel offered us an other room). Expensive breakfast was it's price by far not worth. The waitress apparently did not know how to smile.

Review 19:Excellent location

Review 20:Internet was not working at all, only available in the reception area.

Review 21:Room was spacious, very clean and had a luxurious time in the shower (very good water pressure) :)

Review 22:Some staff very abrupt. Air Con in 42C heat was poor, one room was virtually not functioning and there were no other rooms to move us to so we barely slept.

Review 23:Brilliant location opp. Catedral Mezquite, can walk local neighbourhood streets easily and down to Guadalquivir River. Restaurant on site was good. Some staff very friendly. Parking not far, very reasonable rates.

Review 24:I have stayed here many times before the first time I've been disappointed with WiFi (mainly non existent), & room at bit small for 2 sharing.

Review 25:Great location, lovely traditional building, friendly staff

Review 26:The doorway to our room opened into a small area with the bathroom to the right and the long, narrow rectangular sleeping area extending at a right-angle to the left. The room was perhaps 50cm wider than the bed, which was pushed up against one side wall in the far end of the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning vent was located at the bathroom end and this meant that there was absolutely no air circulation where the bed was. The result was a very poor night's sleep. Cordoba was very busy on the days we visited due to a festival, which meant many properties were fully booked. This may have inflated the room rate that we paid at Los Patios. The combination of poor sleep and a (relatively) high room rate did not represent good value.

Review 27:Location is excellent, directly opposite the entrance to the Mezquita. Our room was located upstairs and opened onto one of the internal courtyards - we had no problems with noise (although the restaurant downstairs was having a very quiet night). The property was very clean and our bathroom seemed to have been refurbished quite recently. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and given some very helpful tips for visitors (one of these was that the well-advertised free admission to the Mezquita from 08:30 only allows you to visit until about 09:20 - everyone gets kicked out then).

Review 28:Would be good if there were clothes washing services.

Review 29:Perfectly located, delicious restaurant, friendly staff and such a great little place to stay, would recommend 100%.

Review 30:The door/lock jammed a little. The window faced the second courtyard so you were really close to a dining area (didn't see anyone eat there though). Could smell cigarettes through the window. Had to use a pen to turn the aircon switch on and couldn't find a remote to change the temp. No facilities to store/cook your own food. Had to share a long pillow with my partner which was difficult but worked out. Bed was a bit small though. Wifi was weak in our room and kept dropping out.

Review 31:Fabulous location, pretty much outside the Mezquita Cathedral. Affordable. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Clean/Quiet room. Room was cosy for two but we didn't mind that. Having aircon was fantastic. 10% off food at the adjoining restaurant. Beautiful/cool garden/patio/dining area. Good food.

Review 32:Facilities and service adequate but not value for money - obviously one is paying for the location!

Review 33:Excellent location - right in front of the main entrance to la Mezquita

Review 34:Poor selection for breakfast. Booked with accomodation but not good value

Review 35:Superb location opposite the Mezquita. Convenient for restaurants etc. Appreciated the aircon after walking around in 42C heat

Review 36:No tea/coffee making in the room, but not an issue - the rooms are a bit small for this, but location, location, location and excellent value more than makes up.

Review 37:Hotel was completely full but staff were very helpful and friendly despite pressure. Best site in Cordoba, just opposite the Mesquita, but not too noisy. Restaurant fine, usual range of local dishes and huge choice nearby too. A/C was needed even in May and worked well. Parking nearby.

Review 38:not a lot of natural light in the room. quite warm during the night.

Review 39:Very well located (you have just to cross the street to enter the Mezquita!) Simple room but confortable, clean and quiet. Nice patio and professional staff.

Review 40:Staff were not overly welcoming, and didn't recognise us as residents when we went to a table for drinks or breakfast. Room was basic.

Review 41:Perfectly situated (20 metres) for visiting the Mezquita). A pretty coutryard and traditional style rooms.

Review 42:Small room , small bath room, beds very small but receptionist was good and helpful. I met two male receptionist both very helping.

Review 43:I like this place as it was close to the Córdoba mosque/cathedral

Review 44:First, the room smelled like flatulence....then I found the sewage cap in the bathroom floor loose and not sealed. So I put a towel over it and went to shower...except the hot water ran out in 5 minutes, while husband was still soapy. Then no WiFi in rooms, which I was counting on to plan next week of my trip. Lastly, husband opened shower door and it shattered, cutting his arms and feet. The staff moved us to another room, which I appreciated, but which had no windows, right off the breakfast room, and charged me the $85 I was to pay for the awesome room with two balconies and a view of the Mezquita. I would NEVER have reserved a windowless room, much less for $85.

Review 45:Initially, I had a lovely room overlooking the Mezquita.

Review 46:Wifi was rubbish. One bar of wifi which kept dropping out. One of those occasions when it's better to have no wifi than rubbish wifi.

Review 47:Location right next to Mezquita was very good. Room felt clean and comfy, but it was expensive for spain.

Review 48:We couldn't get wifi in our room but we sat in the courtyard when we needed to access wifi where the restaurant is situated and the staff never bothered us when we sat there which was good.

Review 49:Los patios offered good accommodation, with a private bathroom, clean and nicely decorated. As backpackers, this was one of the nicer places we stayed. The location couldn't be anymore perfect as it is situated directly opposite the catherdral and near lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

Review 50:spreader maintenance only advise , I don't mind, not much important

Review 51:Authentic, pretty patio and situated right in front of the Mezquita. Location perfect, and staff very helpful. Value for money is fair ,not excellent :-)

Review 52:No hair dryer. Couldn't pick up Wi-Fi in room.

Review 53:The charm strikes you the moment you walk through the doors into a beautiful old courtyard where you can eat. The staff was very helpful. Our room was normal size you'd get in America. Everything in the room worked good. Very hot showers if you want. But the charm of the old building and being right next to the old cathedral and in the heart of the walking area of all the great restaurants is the real jewel of this place. Great value for the price we paid.

Review 54:The food was terrible! Processed food heated in a microwave! A disgrace especially for an expensive Christmas Eve meal and in a capital city that prides itself on its cuisine,

Review 55:Pretty patio and situated right in front of the Mezquita.

Review 56:WiFi not available in rooms. And the banging of heavy suitcases down the stairs by people depating early

Review 57:Location perfect, and staff very helpful. They prioritised areas and buildings to visit, since we had limited time.

Review 58:What can you expect from ca. € 35 per night/per person? Los Patios is one of these many typical low budget hostels in cities like Cordoba. You have to consider that you always give up something for this price. In my case: I needed a quiet room with wifi - for a good sleep and for having some time to work online. First I got a room next to the patio where the restaurant is located. One of the tables was connected to the window, which was a little ridiculous when restaurant guest start having a lunch and dinner. There was noise from guest and visitors during the day and night until at least 22.30. Also noise from the kitchen staff cleaning the kitchen, taking away the bin etc... After, there was still loud music in the patio until 23.30. The windows had to be closed and darkened, which made the room even more depressive. For the second day I got another room on ground level. More quiet, no noise from the patio, but to far for the intern connection. Therefore I needed to stay in the patio for using internet. The rooms are ok for the price, although much to dark, the bed have wheels on one side and start moving, and for reasons the cleaners use sprays with a extremely strong smell which stays in the room (don't do this....). So my advice would be: always check the location of your room in case you want a quiet place. Always check of WIFI is working everywhere or only in public parts.

Review 59:Location, reception and cleaning staff

Review 60:We were half board and were offered only the basic menu. It might have been nice to have had the entire menu available and to have paid the difference.

Review 61:It would be easy to praise this hotel for its location alone, which really could not be better but it does have more to offer. It is very clean and charmingly set around its own internal patios, or courts. The staff are friendly and helpfully, for example, we would not have known entry to the Mesquita is free for an hour every morning from 0830 if the desk clerk had not told us. And it's the best time to see it. For two or three nights you won't find better than Los Patios.

Review 62:Limited breakfast, poor wifi connection. Courtyard crowded with tables, hard to walk through to get to the room. More of a restaurant, than a hotel.

Review 63:Location

Review 64:Dinner was awful; the worst of our 3 week tour. You can eat 3 m away three times for the price - and enjoy it far more!

Review 65:Location is first rate, walking to all sites very easy. The deal we got on the rom was good but the room a bit small. Parking, arranged with adjacent hotel at € 12 pn was very tight for a Landrover - but possible!

Review 66:Room smelled like parfum mixed wiyh cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable beds Shower with hardly any pressure and was not mounted to the wall very steady. This hotel needs a serious update. It feels like nothing has been done to it for the last 15 years. Which is a shame on such a location and in such a beautifull building.

Review 67:Some of the staff was really nice and helpfull. Location opposite of the Mezquita. I parked in the parkinggarage 'la Mezquita' at c/ Dr Flemming. From there is was a 5 minute walk to the hotel.

Review 68:The WiFi in the room did not work at all and we had to leave the room to get a signal.

Review 69:The hotel is very well located with its own patio. Our room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

Review 70:While the venue for meals was excellent (in the patio), the breakfast itself was pretty average compared to many other places we stayed in Spain.

Review 71:Great location with a very friendly atmosphere.

Review 72:The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. It is right in front of the entrance of the mosque.. rooms are large and comfortable. Wifi was good.. you also get a discount if you eat at the hotel restaurant... we did not eat there so cannot comment on how the food is..
