Reviews for Nordic Hotel Forum
Review 1:There is no bathrobe unfortunately. Tiny open shower (water goes all over the bathroom floor - its not comfortable). Otherwise cant see any other minuses.
Review 2:Very nice hotel, friendly staff, tasty breakfast full of any choice, tiny nice spa on the upper floor, good underground parking (especially for stay in winter time), WI-FI is fast, good value. We are very satisfied with our choice of hotel. Highely recommended.
Review 3:We stayed in room 611, our friends in 632. They're two identical rooms. We payed €367, our friends payed €307, even though they were quoted €287, when they booked the room. I don't understand why we payed more, even though we booked same rooms, at the same website (yours) at the same time.
Review 4:Great location, nice relaxation centre, helpful staff. Parking was a bit tricky to get into and find, because of one way streets - but doable. Good hotel and service!
Review 5:Good location and a nice spa/pool/sauna on 8:th floor. The breakfast is great. Couldn't find anything thats missing. Friendly and very serviceminded staff.
Review 6:Breakfast is really good but chaos. Not enough tables. Tip go to breakfast before 9.
Review 7:Friendly staff. Excellent room and wellness. Perfect location to visit the city.
Review 8:1. 12/20/2015 - Sunday evening - about 21-00 me and my wife were siting in the lobby bar and drinking cocktails. We were the only visitors in the lobby bar. Once in the hotel lobby from the street entered drunk man. And though all the seats were free, he sat next to my wife and began to molest her. I asked him to change seat, but he sat with us. I argued with himabout 5 minutes and only then came hotel personnel to assist me. Finaly man gon but evening was absolutely spoiled. I am extremely unhappy with intsedent, work of security personnel of the hotel lobby and reception. 2. I rented bathrobe in SPA zone for 4,80 EUR When we were leaving hotel (Monday morning) i took bathrobe and went to SPA to give it back and return my money. But there were no survice man there. Than i came to reception to close minibar bill and explained situation with bathrobe and asked to deduct 4,80 eur from my account. But man at the reception refused and i lost my money 4,80 eur.
Review 9:Superb facilities, sauna and pool location on the top floor is pure awesomeness, also breakfast is way better than any of nearby hotels, will book again when going to Tallinn :)
Review 10:The hotel advertises with being green and only if you put the towels on the floor they will be changed: both my towels were NOT on the floor however they were both changed (also last time).
Review 11:Hotel is right in city centre, just 2 min walking from old town, many hotels in close vicinity, hotel and rooms quite spacious, nice (small) pool, sauna and jacuzzi available.
Review 12:The WC should have a curtain Breakfast should start at 06 or 06:30 Opening time of relax should start earlier
Review 13:The staff were very friendly The location is excellent The relax centre is good
Review 14:The bathroom was smelly and the temperature of the room just didn't go down, even though I set it to 5 degrees C. I asked to be moved to a quieter room which ended up being a significant downgrade with no difference refunded.
Review 15:The Sauna and pool were nice
Review 16:It was too warm at the room and the aircondition was not adjustable and it has terrible noise. We mentioned it at the reception but nothing was done. At the breakfast there were no mention which food was glutenfree or lactose free, and the worst the bacon was layed on the top of bread. Glutenfree bread was available when asked, but it was very dry, hard and tasteless. The service at the lounge bar and at the reception was very slow.
Review 17:pool is not suitable for small kids (too cold and poor selection of swim gears), gym = bicycle, vacuum-cleaning was not done in the room
Review 18:very good breakfast, nice atmosphere in the hotel, excellent location
Review 19:Decor a little tired. Quite a few tour groups coming through. Slow crowded lifts.
Review 20:Comfortable beds. Decent location on edge of Old Town. Breakfast first rate.
Review 21:The "cold" welcome from the reception, but perhaps this is the Nordic style, a bit noisy air-conditioning system.
Review 22:Modern sound proof and clean rooms, great beds very comfortable, great breakfast, central position in the Rotermanni district ( the best modern district in Tallinn, between few steps away from old town and harbor), the good spa.
Review 23:Would be great to have parking included in the room-rates in the future.
Review 24:Great SPA, good breakfast, good view from the window if you are on upper floors. Super comfortable bed!
Review 25:SPA is a plus but the fitness space is very poor: 1 tradminll, 1 bike, 1 stepper and a few weights, definitely not enough. For such a big hotel like Nordic its gets crowded very fast! Also despite the hotel high standard they don't have a coffee machine which is a shame (only filter coffee)
Review 26:Nicely located in the centre of Tallin close to the Old Town. Friendly Staff, modern and clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Relaxing zone with swimming pool and sauna.
Review 27:The doors make quite some noise when they close so you can hear your neighbours entering/leaving.
Review 28:Good hotel, modern room, spacious room, internet quite fast, central location, 2 minutes walking from old town.
Review 29:The rooms could've been cleaned a bit more carefully, the bath tub had some marks on the sides. The TV was too small and outdated, and the menu was a hassle to go through and it tried to get you to pay for movies. I also didn't like the glass corner in the bathroom, I don't understand why it would be a good idea to have a window from the bathroom to the rest of the room, it takes away all privacy.
Review 30:The location was superb, right in the middle of Tallinn. Beds were very good and comfortable. The spa was a nice addition.
Review 31:I saw that my room was not vacuumed every day: I saw the same bits of paper for a couple of days in the same place on the floor.
Review 32:Breakfast buffet was excellent! Many good choices and friendly staff
Review 33:Parking is outrageously expensive, parked elsewhere. What is killing this hotel is the pool - rust and dirt and mold anywhere you look. Jacuzzi has slime on the bottom, chewing gum stuck to several artificial plants around the pool, wooden parts are all moldy, metallic parts rusty. On Monday there was nobody to supervise the pool and the water cooler was not refreshed - there were brown particles pouring into the cup, which means the cooler itself is never cleaned either.
Review 34:Location is good, check-in was efficient, although a bit strained, room is clean and has all the necessary amenities, but no bathrobes available neither in the room, nor in the aqua area. Breakfast was good. Great view from the pool.
Review 35:Bit fancy and bit expensive restaurant.
Review 36:Nice hotel, looks like a new one. Clean, nice rooms, not too small. Available resting area on last flor. Very good breakfast with wide choices of meals. Friendly and helpful personel.
Review 37:Not really a child friendly hotel, despite they have some equipments (uncomfortable plastic high chair, shower instead of bath).
Review 38:Helpfull staff and excellent location, big room size.
Review 39:The breakfast was really rich but it wasn't very tasty.
Review 40:Great design, big, comfortable and extremely clean room. Very close to the old city and to the public transportation.
Review 41:Horrible wifi, rooms smell a little too much to detergents.
Review 42:Hundred meters away from the old city. Pool and hot tub available. Parking place (not for free). Great breakfast, loads of choices.
Review 43:You can hear doors of neigbouring rooms bang quite well when they close. Very extended breakfast but personally I had wished to get some more fresh fruits as I don't need all the heavy (English-)breakfast stuff. For fresh orange juice you have to pay extra while slices of orange are just there. Breakfast was also far too much crowed: Room was too small. Dinner at hotel restaurant is quite okay but doesn't have the final touch that matches its price.
Review 44:Hotel is right to the old town. Good hotel to stay in. Wellness centre is nice and well-maintained. Internet quite ok.
Review 45:I expected the swimming pool to be larger. No big deal. Also, I had to print out a long document; the staff were extremely efficient and helpful even though they were swamped but the printing was not cheap.
Review 46:Great location, pleasant walking distance from the old city. Very nice staff: I wanted a room with a view I liked and they made an effort to helped me find one. Very efficient and kind. Nice people in the pool beautiful view from the upstairs swimming pool. Wonderful breakfast.
Review 47:Wifi wasn't working and it wasn't first time. The room is good but it's time make them more modern. The difference between business room and ordinary is almost nonexistent. Why pay for business room?
Review 48:The location is excellent near the city center. Bathroom is spacious. Spa is nice with good city views.
Review 49:The fact that I had to pay so much for breakfast. It was a nice breakfast, but I think it should have been thrown in for the price.
Review 50:I stayed in room 646. Magnificent views of the new Rotermanni quarter. I do not know why you dont market this aspect of the hotel location more. You do need to appreciate modern Estonian architecture, the new street cafe culture of the quarter.
Review 51:It would be great to have known you can take the #2 bus from the ferry terminal - there is a stop just around the corner from the Nordic Forum. The wifi was patchy in our room, but otherwise ok. Sometimes the lifts were very slow.
Review 52:Fantastic location, very comfortable room, with great beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 53:Parking is costly.
Review 54:I went there for a business trip and my family joined me to see the city. I made my business meeting and my family made the city trip. Hotel location is perfect, it is minutes away from city center and old town. Easy connection to everywhere.
Review 55:We reserved room with king-size bed, but we got two single beds pushed together. The mattresses were also very soft, what made our sleep in there pretty uncomfortable. WiFi is very slow, especially at evenings. Expensive parking.
Review 56:Hotel staff very nice and friendly, large, clean rooms. Good breakfast (but rather crowded). They also have so called early breakfast where from 4AM you can have a coffee and few other things, which is nice. Our room was very quiet, no noises either from the street or other rooms. Location is very good.
Review 57:My room smelled like it was allowed to smoke in there. Internet worked only in the lobby. Staff 6/10.
Review 58:Location and the design. Hotel looks expensive both inside and outside.
Review 59:Conveniently close to shops and grocery store. All manner of transportation immediately available. Most destinations withing easy walking distance. Severalxcellent restaurants very nearby, as also throughout town.
Review 60:Breakfast was disappointing: various items were missing and staff didn't fill in the empty bowls. Breakfast room was too crowded and a bit messy.
Review 61:The location is perfect. Sauna and swimming pool area are nice. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows are very comfortable.
Review 62:pool area dirty, jacuzzi cold, not fresh air in the gym. Service poor and general feel of the hotel not great compared to my first visit it has constantly down hill.
Review 63:The location is great.
Review 64:Rooms are not all similar. We wanted to have allergy room with wooden floor and we needed to compromise so we didn't have bath tube and the room had odd ground plan and feel smaller. I also think that some of the rooms at street side lower floors might be a bit noisy.
Review 65:Fine hotel. Very friendly staff. Good location. Excellent breakfast. We did sleep too late and not checked the pool area.
Review 66:Room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived. Staff had left us only sheets and blankets for the extra bed but hadn't made it ready for us.
Review 67:Great location in the city center, nice buffet breakfast (also glutein free bread!), stylish hotel and friendly staff.
Review 68:Very small breakfast room, so you have to stay and wait for free table 30 minutes... And the size of the pool is also very poor for the hotel with hundreds of rooms.
Review 69:Great breakfast buffet and excellent location in the very centre of the city
Review 70:We did not get a room with windows to the Old Town. Uncomfortable ( too soft bed ) During the majority of people in the restaurant ( breakfast time needed half an hour to look for a place to sit .
Review 71:A rich breakfast personnel , procedures , room, location .
Review 72:We did not like our stay at this hotel! Staff attention very formal. Kids corner we found only in next morning. No kids seat at breakfast (staff does not care), however two guys marks on list where you from (which room). Kid crib without bed base, just with mattress. Breakfast is a disaster at all - first fight for table, then for food, then for coffee - 10 minutes line! No TV channels for kids free of charge, good wi- fi only in a bathtub. And that all for 124 euro for night + parking+kids movie+coffee in bar???
Review 73:Location, parking!
Review 74:Finnish sauna works only from 5 p.m. Room service talked to each other very loudly.
Review 75:Best location in town, very good breakfast. Soft bed, good pillows. Well insulated rooms. Very cousy relaxing spa.
Review 76:Great location, great price just an overall impressive hotel. The Monaco Restaurant inside the hotel is fantastic too. They serve a small menu but well presented and great food. Great breakfast too! Will stay there again.
Review 77:Location to port and city. Price was reasonable and room was lovely apart from my 'double' bed was made up of 2 single beds which was a bit uncomfortable. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was very nice.
Review 78:the bartender was very arrogant, over all staff could be a little friendlier,
Review 79:food was very good, room comfortable, clean, girl in room service was nice, and one guy at front desk was very fun and nice.
Review 80:Two separate beds connected to make one bed. I found myself falling through the middle quite frequently. The gym is not a gym. The "gym" is a treadmill and some hand weights.
Review 81:The hotel was in an excellent location and made me comfortable for the 45 days that I stayed there.
Review 82:Breakfast a bit crowded - all tables were busy.
Review 83:The best location you can get - old town across the street, easy to access by car, Rotermanni quarter and shops besides. Good breakfast with plenty of variety.
Review 84:WLAN was weak in this particular room.
Review 85:Second time to this hotel, everything just works and hotel is comfortable. Parking in garage, baby bed. Check in/out works fast.
Review 86:Nothing i did not like !
Review 87:it is close to the old town and the city center at the same time lots and lots of shopping centers and resturants around very comfort clean and beautiful staff is very professional and proactive, as most of the Estonians :)
Review 88:shower room Water splashes out of the shower room because half of the room has no door.
Review 89:Breakfast buffet is excellent. Very close to the Opera house.
Review 90:I don't have any complaints. There isn't a thing I didn't like. I'll stay there again if I ever go back to Tallinn.
Review 91:I LOVED it. The room is spacious and very, very comfortable. Great location - the hotel is very close to the Old Town. Breakfast was amazing.
Review 92:The decoration was a little bit old fashioned and gimmicky. The hallways carpets have a fake brick and grass design - it was quite strange
Review 93:Good location, next to old town and very close to public transport hubs. The sauna and swimming pool was a wonderful bonus. Very nice breakfast.
Review 94:The only thing was the cost of the parking, which we expected to be included in the room price for hotel guests, instead it is 17 EUR per 24 h, normally should be free for hotel guests.
Review 95:Very good breakfast, plenty of choice and good quality. Kids loved the pool, although at evening it is a bit crowded, mornings it is better. Excellent location, right next to the old town.
Review 96:Location is superb. It's nice short walk to the old city, opposite the hotel is the local bus terminal and one reaches the harbor and the ferries easily. There is a wonderful spa area on the 8th floor, with excellent view. Breakfast was delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Review 97:All was quite good, nothing in particular to complain about.
Review 98:Close to both port and old town, awesome bed, nice view from the suite room and from the swimming pool. Pool, two saunas and jacuzzi open until 22:00. Good breakfast.
Review 99:Breakfast room somewhat crowded at times. Tables are quickly cleared and your place at the table is soon lost when you are on your own.
Review 100:Easy walk into the old town. Shopping centres nearby.Nice clean and spacious rooms. Swimming pool and sauna. Wide choice for breakfast. Staff polite and helpful.
Review 101:Все понравилось! Nothing.
Review 102:Отличное расположение отеля, две минуты до Старого города. Очень понравились номера, современные, достаточно большие и комфортные.Завтрак также на высочайшем уровне. Really good accomadation with comfortable modern rooms, delicious breakfast and good location! If you want to have a goog trip you should choose this hotel!
Review 103:We had booked the suite! We arrived at the hotel after a long trip at11:30 where the receptionist informed us that there were no roomsavailable to check us in until after 15:00 (perfectly logical, fullyunderstandable and acceptable!). We left our luggage and went back at15:20 Room was ready! The receptionist gave me the payment receipt. Iwas surprised! When I asked what it was, he said “we have the right tocharge you for the first night of your stay after 15:00 which is theofficial check-in time” to which I replied “yes, but this is in case ofno show! I am here now and I was here earlier” to which he replied “wellwe still have the right to charge you after 15:00”. I was horriblyshocked by the attitude as this is the very first time I ever check inat any hotel and I am charged before checking in! Simply outrageous!! Wewent up to our room. Air-conditioning in sitting area was running ok,while a/c in bedroom was switched on but not working (no air wascoming out from the air duct). Suites are corner rooms so daylightblasts on them all day long (35degC outside). And days are long inTallinn if you visit during summer. So, lack of a/c was not anoption. I called the reception. After a while somebody (non-technical)came to our room. One hour and several failed attempts later, he saidthere was a problem and it could not be fixed. I asked to have us movedto another suite, as bedroom was too hot to sleep in to which he said “Iam sorry, we are a full house and there are no other available rooms” towhich I simply replied “well, how can this be my problem?”. I explainedthat I have booked a suite with a/c, for which they have actuallycharged me already and I expect to have what I have paid for. I alsoexplained that I should be sleeping and resting as I had to recover froma long trip in order to be fit for my evening meeting. Following myarguments the guy called the reception and magically an available suitewas found!
Review 104:Good location, not in historic centre, but only minutes away Suite wasdecent size, with shower and bathroom
Review 105:Very limited and basic room service menu. You can't get the menu from the restaurant downstairs in the room, which was a shame. Staff at breakfast were not very friendly and didn't seem to want to be there. Coffee at breakfast was absolutely horrendous and you had to pay extra to have an espresso or decent coffee. Room was OK. We wanted a suite so that our baby could sleep in the living area, but there was just a sliding door that didn't really block out any noise. The room was also way too hot and the air-conditioning was clearly not able to be adjusted in the room, despite their being controls. It made sleeping very uncomfortable, as did the square, hard and too large pillows.
Review 106:Great location. It is within walking distance of a few shopping malls and close to the Old Town. The front office staff were friendly and efficient. Room was cleaned well. Wine downstairs could be taken to the room and was good and a large range. Fairly good range at breakfast, although was very busy so you had to go early to get a table.
Review 107:Nothing to dislike!
Review 108:From the front desk to the staff at the bar I never felt more welcome. The room was perfect but the staff are the best thing about this hotel - they are amazing!
Review 109:Wifi was very poor A little expensive prices sometimes
Review 110:Location to visit Tallin downtown Good breakfast but sometimes full of people and no enogh space for everybody Good facilities (free spa for some guests)
Review 111:When checking in right after 14:00 we had to wait in queue about half an hour before it was our turn. The queue reached almost outside the hotel. The baby cot was brought to the room at about 16:00 even if we requested it already before arriving.
Review 112:Location, quality of the bed, clean room.
Review 113:The hotell is till the end of august nearly 100% full and hotell manager honestly admitted that they cannot handle all customers, who come to have breakfast all at same time at 8.30. And so it was.
Review 114:2nd time stay but this time is un expectation. Hotel was fully booked but staff didn't informed us that we are got upgrade to suite broken room. The room was nice but the bath room for suite don't have a bath tub and the place to put shampoo and shower gel have to put on the floor that was full of water after take shower. The water not going anywhere i felt uncomfortable when i dry my hair and have to standing on the water felt afraid electric shock and very danger because the floor full of shampoo and shower gel. After called to reception to informed about the problem the staff told us that they can't do noting the hotel don't have housekeeping to clean don't have the room to change the reception came to the room he not so politely he doesn't listen our problem and act like its not the big dial and give us only 6 small towels but it doesn't help anything to make us happy. i don't happy to pay the room and i have to clean your broken bath room. I ask to speak with the manager but on one care or call us back. After went to the bar order mojito staff informed they don't have so after that 5 min after order pinacalada they don't have AMMMM then 5 min after order strawberry something of cause they don't have. The problem is what do you have in this hotel! Why staff don't informed the first time that customer came if they don't have something. Spa zone stream room not working. All the things i like in your hotel doesn't impresses for me this time. Not really happy and very very inconvenience stay. You are not 4 stars hotel. Management have to working much more and resolved the customer problems. High season you should have housekeeping 24 hrs. manager on duty, prepare beverage for high season at the bar.
Review 115:Good location, excellent breakfast.
Review 116:Breakfast arrangements were a disaster during high demand summer times. Hotel had arranged second breakfast site to lobby bar. Staff told that there would be same selection as in the main breakfast restaurant (this was not true), also resupplying did not work. Next mornings resupplying of breakfast food in the main restaurant was not nearly adequate compared to the demand. We saw tens of angry customers, who did not get coffee! This is basic stuff! Management: please sort the breakfast in good order, then you have maybe one of the best hotels in Tallinn!
Review 117:Efficient reception staff, good cleaning. Good garage. Pretty big room. Baby bed was arranged quickly. Great for families.
Review 118:Breakfast wasn't that good. Should be more fresh fruits and foods that are made by hotel itself. Food tasted kind of "industrial".
Review 119:Nice hotel with great location! Pool area nice extra. Clean and functioning rooms with huge beds!
Review 120:The lobby bar doesn't serve on the terrace and the waitress are not smiling at all. The tramway passes every two minutes so be sure not to have a room which gives on the street. The 45' queue for the check in on a Sunday afternoon. The room is not very clean, some spots on the floor, an ancient wine bottle opened and left in the closer. The breakfast was full of people and you have to queue or arrive before 08.30 as advised by the hotel management. And at 10.00 sharp, the staff takes off everything... Even though you are still there eating. Disrespectful.
Review 121:The location is great, directly across Viru and close to the old town, the hotel is very well situated.
Review 122:They were a little overwhelmed by the number of guests they had. The restaurant was full to overflowing and both times I went I just had to sit with someone I didn't know. They should have extended the hours they served it. A few areas of the hotel were a bit dirty (not the room). No shutters on the windows, so room is not very dark.
Review 123:Staff were extremely helpful. WiFi worked well. Nice breakfast. Nice rooftop pool. Good location on the border of old town and new.
Review 124:Toilet seat was dirty, when we arrived! No kettle in the room and no even free boiling water facilities around (yet there's an ice generator :) :)). Breakfast room is crowded (why not just increasing the time for breakfast during the peak season?!). Very poor Wi-Fi.
Review 125:Nice architecture. Good location.
Review 126:Breakfast room gets very overcrowded at peak periods.
Review 127:Very rich breakfast, very comfortable rooms (possibility for making coffee and tea). Parking garage.
Review 128:Very friendly check in and a coffee at 4.30 am when I was checking out
Review 129:The coffemaker needed some coaxing, but it worked in the end
Review 130:Finely furbished hotel, spacious rooms with ample windows and excellent breakfast
Review 131:There was nothing special in the New year breakfast buffet, not even a glass of sparkling wine to buy
Review 132:Near old town
Review 133:Location is perfect.
Review 134:Excellent location, friendly staff, clean convenient rooms
Review 135:full house
Review 136:location
