Reviews for Hotel Euroopa

Review 1:There was no tea pot . The hotel is about 15 minutes walking distance away from the old town , all major attractions and the main town hall square. That was not a problem for us but if someone wants to stay right in the centre of old town, this is a bit outside

Review 2:The view of the port and sea-front from the hotel rooms was very good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast spread was good and sumptuous. The restaurant in the hotel served very good Italian cuisine

Review 3:Very strange sound in a room. Lived in 302.

Review 4:Price for 4 stars was really good. Parking nearby the hotel for 3 euros. Market just infront. 15 minutes walk to the central square. asked for a late check out and the request was accepted without additional payments.

Review 5:Very comfortable and spacious room with cosy seating area, nice interiors in the room and lobby. Large bathroom with warm floor. Shopping center and supermarket very close to the hotel.

Review 6:- they should consider removing carpets and installing wooden floor that would make the hotel perfect ;)

Review 7:- good breakfast - nice and kind personel - perfect location - we could see the marina from the window!

Review 8:The breakfast was very much directed to non-vegetarians and lacked more healthy, organic options. It'd also be nice if the sauna was available without the extra 25€ charge. Makes a big difference to Finnish customers when choosing a place to stay.

Review 9:The bed was good. The place was peaceful.

Review 10:Great location within walking distance to ferry terminals and city center, within 100m to supermarket. Very friendly staff speaking many languages. Spacious superior room with french windows and wooden floor without carpets. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Free baby cot. Chlidren playroom. Huge real(!) Christmas firtree in the lobby:)

Review 11:Parking provided by the hotel costs 15 EUR/day, which is in my opinion too much considering the price of the room itself, so we had to use the parking nearby for 3 EUR/day (5 minutes walk from the hotel). When we just arrived, we discovered there was basically no proper place near the hotel entrance to leave a car (only bus and taxi are allowed to park there). The wood floor in our room was looking old and shabby and we also spotted at least one hole in it. TV remote controller was not working properly. Breakfast could have been much better for a 4 star hotel, some products were also missing when we came, like butter and regular coffee (there was only coffee from a coffee machine left, which was really not tasty if not to say impossible to drink)...

Review 12:We enjoyed hotel location - about 10 min from Tallinn Old Town. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, the bed was double, as requested when booking.

Review 13:Garage has very narrow spaces. Breakfast was ok, but not in par with rest of the hotel.

Review 14:Large, clean and nice room. Good location near harbour and old town, although not ideal for walking the dog.

Review 15:There wasn't bottled water despite the hotel has 4 stars

Review 16:This hotel is very close to terminal D Tallink Silja and just 10-15 minutes from Old town sightseeings. Nice and very helpful staff was on the front desk.

Review 17:-Set thermostat to MAX, but still it was quite cold in the room. -Very cold bathroom, especially when taking shower as there was no shower cabin (walls) (handicapped room + bathroom) -Asked for higher possible floor, got floor 3.

Review 18:-Great location.

Review 19:I wish there was a mineral water for free in the room ans some electric water kettle with some tea.

Review 20:Everything was clean and quiet. There is a chance that I will choose this hotel again.

Review 21:I'm a bit ambivalent about the location - while the hotel is not far from the Old Town where the main sights are situated, if you have to go to the Old Town a lot (note that if you book day tours with local agencies, they tend to depart from the Old Town as well), it may seem too much of a hassle to walk to and fro. I would say the hotel location works best if you are staying just 1-2 nights and arriving and departing by ferry from Terminal D. Breakfast selection was wide but tasted mediocre and offerings didn't vary throughout the five days I stayed. If you leave your luggage to be stored with the reception, note that bags are not tagged and anyone else storing or removing their bags will have access to yours, too.

Review 22:The hotel is about 5mins walk to ferry terminal D, so it is convenient for those arriving and/or departing from that point. It is also a 15min walk to the edge of the Old Town. Room I had was clean and comfortable.

Review 23:its unfortunate there is ongoing building works adjacent the hotel, so there was an element of external noise preventing keeping the window open. give it a year and this inconvenience will ensure the surrounding area is the place to be. the lack of tea/coffee making facility in the room

Review 24:it was nice to be just outside the city walls (10 minute walk ) and central to all attractions. Taxis always available outside the hotel if required. Nice to be near the ferry terminal, so a short distance for carrying suitcases. Pleasant area around the marina, with a small shopping mall opposite to the hotel. The bus to the airport is 400 yards away and runs every 20 minutes for 1.60 euro each, and takes approx 20 minutes , so very convenient The staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious the breakfast fare was extensive and of good quality The restaurant and bar menu were good value

Review 25:Stayed in Euroopa for the second time - everything was great again. I sent a request for upper-storey room with sea view - request was satisfied. Rooms are really big and well-decorated. Where is a pillow-menu -you can choose a pillow what you need. Breakfast is tasty.

Review 26:Nice view from balcony to harbour, confortable, very helpfull staff.Location very near ship terminal to Helsinki.Garage on site little bit pricey.Breakfast was really very good.

Review 27:Confortable and clean rooms. very good position. 5 minutes walking from the terminal D where ferryboats to helsinki leave. 10 minutes walking from town centre. Rich breakfast. If you leave early in the morning it's possible to take packet breakfast. Kind staff!

Review 28:Perfect location not only for catching the ferry but also for walking to the centre. You can use hotel garage but try the very cheap public parking by the hotel.

Review 29:Cannot turn off aircon in room, if window opened then quite noisy from traffic/building work. Breakfast pretty low quality & very busy. Reception overwhelmed now & then when bus loads arrive. Someone was drilling in the middle of the night on my first night!

Review 30:Very convenient for ferry & old city. Good size room.

Review 31:the latch system makes the slamming doors of the rooms very noisy for the neighbors; the first night of stay was ruined by the noise of a drill coming from the next room till 1am

Review 32:location of the hotel on the harbor front, a 5-minute walk from the Rotermann quarter (where you can find several restaurants and bars) and 10 minutes from the old town; superb view from room no. 334, which is very large, clean and comfortable; pretty good breakfast.

Review 33:Maybe one thing wasn't great - menu in restaurant.

Review 34:Modern, scandinavian-style hotel, located in the harbour but 10 min walk from Old Town. I recommend rooms on 6th floor - great view at harbour and the sea

Review 35:Lovely big, comfortable room with a fantastic view over the marina, the ferry port & far out to sea. Lots of great shopping nearby and the Old Town is only a short walk.

Review 36:Totally overcrowded restaurant during breakfast. The staff did not take care of dirty tables full of plates, cups etc left by guests who already had their breakfast. They did not refill dishes that "run out" unless you definately asked for it. Generally, we had poor experience with the hotel restaurant during our 3-night stay.

Review 37:Great location, especially if you want to use ferries e.g to Helsinki. Nice view if your room faces the sea. It is worth paying more for superior room at the top floor and enjoy view and balcony.

Review 38:Not a complaint, just an observation: the hotel is used by coach parties and on occasions the reception and the breakfast room were very busy.

Review 39:Location overlooking the yacht harbour and the skyline of the old town. Convenient for the ferry port. Large, comfortable and well-equipped room. Good breakfast.

Review 40:Room had a few kremlins eg water leaking from under the bath when I had a shower I am a non-smoker. Room had a balcony and still cigs ends present

Review 41:Location very close to the ferry terminal Breakfast choice

Review 42:Breakfast was hostel-worthy, porridge was horribly salty.

Review 43:Right next to grand old yahchts marina - perfect for boat crews who want to sleep in steady beds:)

Review 44:Our top-floor room with balcony overlooked the harbor. Great block-out drapes, grand view, quiet, plenty of storage, comfortable beds, very pleasant room for two nights. Breakfast staff was working really hard to keep up with the busloads of guests. Lattes in the bar were very good. Helpful employees at reception and they spoke great English. Well maintained facilities. Easy walks from Tallink Terminal D and to Old Town. A good grocery store is just across the parking lot in a shopping mall.

Review 45:Nothing. All good.

Review 46:Great value for money. Great breakfast. It was our wedding anniversary and we received a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fruit which was very nice.

Review 47:By breakfest the cook d'not wanted baking egs and bacon ( he did but his face...) the first twoo days it was no problem

Review 48:good en large rooms no noise at all in the room good breakfast good service near centre en tramline 4 wifi free all over in the hotel

Review 49:Everything was perfect.

Review 50:Very clean and comfortable hotel located close to Harbour. Not far away from old town. Nice, helpful personnel. For additional fee you can parc your car on the underground parking.

Review 51:Close to the harbor. Walking distance to town. Very nice english speaking staff. Very good accomodations. Great breakfast. Fast and free wifi. Just in front there is a good shopping center.

Review 52:For us the hotel was the just about perfect choice. Very conveniently located between the ferry terminal and the old town of Tallinn everything can be easily reached on foot. Our room had a breathtaking view on the harbour, the sea and the old town. Europcar has its office in the very same building, hence, it's easy and convenient to pick a car. It's 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. Friendly, helpful staff and tasty breakfast.

Review 53:The price per night was higher than agreed through Booking.com

Review 54:Good position, very close the port and the old town. Free wi-fi everywhere in the hotel

Review 55:The rooms were not cleaned properly I could leave a little piece of paper on the floor and when I came back it was still there. I liked the hotel but it's not clean

Review 56:The location

Review 57:Everything was good, especially view from the balcony to ferry terminal and to the old city. Spacey room. Excellent tasty breakfast with a lot of choices

Review 58:Wi-fi connection was very poor, had to stay near the door of my room to be connected (I had the last room on the floor, maybe that's the problem). Heavily populated even in winter (though expensive)

Review 59:Breakfasts are quite good. The hotel is close to the old city. Rimi supermarket is located just in front of the hotel. Quiet, clean.

Review 60:The tall guy at the frontdesk gave me a parking space for car + trailer. Next door is Rimi and a market for alcohol. And just a few hundred meters away from the old town. Great breakfast.

Review 61:The breakfast could be a bit better with more choices maybe.

Review 62:Very good location (just by the harbour and short walk to Old Town), very spacious and clean room, soft and comfortable bed. Very good value for the money.

Review 63:+Very close to the Port of Tallinn ferry harbour terminal D (Tallink Silja) +Close to Tallinn city centre and Old Town +Location next to the waterfront +Cheap parking right next to the hotel (zone EP42 @ EUR 2,00/24h)

Review 64:poor range of dishes for breakfast

Review 65:excellent location net to harbour; great view in rooms at sea side; acceptable prices in hotel restaurant; friendly and helpful staff

Review 66:Hotel is new but already require some repairings. Breakfast has no vegetarian choices. Parking in garage costs 15€ (hint: spot nearby is just 2€/day).

Review 67:Good fitness and sauna, friendly staff.

Review 68:Parking for 15 euro/night seems a little dear. Queues at breakfast in the very morning. Stupid elevators where you have to insert a room card first. Sometimes it doesn't recognise the card and you are going in an unexpected direction. But i'm nagging here.

Review 69:Very close to the city center. Underground parking - no need to get dressed to get to your car. Shopping mall just across the street.

Review 70:Close proximity to the harbour when arriving by boat. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were basic and clean, big plus for a few extra square meters of space.

Review 71:Only negative side is the poor quality of wireless Internet in hotel rooms. In my opinion it should be better, considering the possibilities in nowadays.

Review 72:One of the best breakfast tables in Tallinn. Spacious and comfortable rooms.

Review 73:floor of the room was not cleaned during my stay, sauna not included in the price (which was relatively high for this category) crowded during breakfast after 8.30am

Review 74:very large room, well located closed to the city center and huge supermarket just beside, quiet rooms, modern furniture (except the batch tube), check in and check out fast and staff was always helpful

Review 75:Unconfortable sleeping, especially pillows (too big and not soft); too expensive parking at the hotel, nearby is cheaper; poor breakfeast menu for 4* hotel

Review 76:Location

Review 77:it was second time when had problems with connection of Wi-Fi - not to connect to Wi-Fi network, but to download and send out my emails. For unknown reasons such problems happens to me just in this hotel .

Review 78:Location, comfort and quality of kitchen is acceptable for these money

Review 79:The breakfast is good, but there is not much options on breakfast.

Review 80:The Hotel is located few steps from D-Terminal Port and 10 minutes walking from Old Town. The room is pretty comfortable, large and clean, and has a beautiful view port. Great value for money!

Review 81:Shower is somewhat inconsistent with the overall quality of the hotel: bath is leaking on the side and water is then over the floor. Although the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the Old Town, its close surroundings are not very pleasant. The rooms are a little bit too expensive.

Review 82:Rooms are really large and soundproof. Nice window views. Good breakfast in a stylish breakfast room.

Review 83:It was quite difficult to drive to the hotel, we drove arround thehotel and everywhere were signs "prohibited entrance". Wificould be better. Parking outside is dusty. Carpet in the room needs tobe changed.

Review 84:We stayed just for one night before going to the ferry and were pleasedby the location of the hotel - it is just in the ferry terminal. Also ithas cheap parking outside in the yard. As we left very early we asked toprepare our take-away breakfast. Everything was all right. The mainadvantage of the hotel for me was - opening windows! It is veryimportant to sleep and feel fresh weather. Despite all the minuses ofthe hotel I would choose it again because of the opening windows!

Review 85:Couldn't get wi-if in the room; breakfast could have been very good but a party of at least 50 seniors came in from outside at 8:30 and at 9:20 still no tables were available. We came back at 9:40 for breakfast and the staff didn't much appreciate our staying past the 10:00 end to breakfast (when the vacuuming began!).

Review 86:Great location to the ferry and very nice reception staff.

Review 87:Good location since we werw visiting an event in Kochi Aidad. Very comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast. Big parking lot nearby. All we needed.

Review 88:Nothing

Review 89:Traveled to tallin for football with a group of friends the location was good for ferries and parking was good and safe breakfast very good reception excellent even let one of group in his room at 9 am as he arrived off ferry

Review 90:The first room we got came with the smell of cigaret smoke. And it was non-smoking room. Happily we got another room almost as good but without the smell.

Review 91:The staff was super nice and polite. And the location is perfect if you come by ship.

Review 92:exterior of the hotel is not that impressive.

Review 93:good location- not far away from ferry terminal, and old town is within walking distant. WiFi is good too. Breakfast choices are adequate.

Review 94:Nothing much really. Wifi could be better. Large dusty parking area next to the hotel is maybe not so nice

Review 95:Comfortable, spacey rooms. Close to the Old Town

Review 96:Easy access from/to ferries, and short walk into old town (hotel minibus takes you there if you like). Very comfortable spacious room. Excellent breakfast.

Review 97:Air conditioning was ineffective in our room. nothing wrong with it, it was installed like that!! Wifi was weak.

Review 98:Hotel was in an excellent position for catching the ferry. Old town was a good ten minute walk. Breakfast was extensive and good.

Review 99:Within 10 minutes of arriving in Tallinn on the ferry from Helsinki we had dropped off our luggage, and was sitting enjoying a cup of coffee from the balcony of our room overlooking the harbour. It was so easy to find and walk to. The fact that the hotel was not within the old city walls was not a problem for us - about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast buffet was excellent and we could eat outside.

Review 100:Breakfast room needed to have tables cleared a little sooner, people arewalking in and finding it difficult to get a clean table.

Review 101:Everything, Euroopa is a very fast moving hotel, many tourists arrivingon a daily basis, the front desk is very competent in handling this. Thecar ride to the Old Town was a plus. Excellent breakfast much to choosefrom. Lovely room. It was a great introduction to Estonia for us, roomswere very clean, lovely balcony and view. Reception staff friendly andhelpful whilst under an enormous amount of pressure.

Review 102:A room looking out over the water has great views, however on most of the nights that we were there noisy, alcohol fuelled groups tended to congregate along the dockside, meaning that the window had to stay closed in order to get a good night's sleep.

Review 103:Very good breakfast buffet with a great variety of food. It can get a little busy at peak time, and so instead of having one of the nicer tables with daylight, you can end up in the "backroom" but it's no real problem. Good variety of fresh breads, meats, fish and delicious jams that taste of fruit. Scrambled eggs can sometimes be just large lumps of microwaved egg (Is it ever possible to do S eggs in bulk, properly?) Rooms tidy and efficient. A little bit souless in design, but that's frequently the case with these large modern hotels, though the staff try their best to make up for it with friendliness and willingness to help.

Review 104:I did not find my stay a negative experience!

Review 105:I found my stay at Euroopa Hotel a pleasurable experience, the staff were courteous, friendly and accommodating especially reception, dining and mini bus staff. I would recommend to other travellers visiting Tallinn.

Review 106:At breakfast nobody looked at us, said anything (good morning etc.) We didn't see one single smile on anyones face! Wasn't so nice and we felt kind of disturbing the staff by being there! Very unpleasant! The food itself was great!

Review 107:In reception service was excellent, friendly with smiling faces! Thank you for that!

Review 108:everything was perfect.i loved my stay in this hotel. the room was clened very well and reception was kind and lovely.also there was a beautiful view to the sea...

Review 109:There was nothing that we disliked.

Review 110:The location, just a short walk from the ferry port. Breakfast was excellent and very generous. Staff polite and well trained. Hotel very clean and comfortable.

Review 111:This location and value were perfect after missing meeting our cruise vessel in Copenhagen! Quiet, safe, convenient to ship docking. Just walked about two blocks and boarded. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Review 112:can't think of anything!

Review 113:room view drive to Vana Linn if required excellent breakfast shopping mall across the street friendly staff an online change hadn't been received and Manager ensured all was taken care of without any issues help with finding destinations, etc

Review 114:The bath in our bathroom didn't have sealant around the edges which meant each time we had a shower, there was water all over the floor. When we commented on this, we were advised to ask for more towels to soak up the water...perhaps not the best option from a 'green' hotel...

Review 115:Very good location-just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town.

Review 116:the breakfast buffet was truly tasty and luxurious. It just missed some sweet food (if we are oblidged to mention something negative)

Review 117:the perfect view from the balcoy in the left corner of the 4th flour (old town and port)

Review 118:Very close to the harbour and so perfect if you arrive by ship. 15 minutes walking to the old city.

Review 119:Excellent location. GREAT breakfast! Helphul staff. New furniture! FREE sauna! Highly recommended!

Review 120:Very close to city center. Nice view to marina. Very diverse breakfast. Free wi-fi. Cheap parking nearby.

Review 121:Old fashioned interior design, small TV, very average breakfast, unprofessional and unfriendly staff in the reception

Review 122:Location, underground parking

Review 123:Nice and modern hotel just next to the port. If you have to catch the morning ferry, this is the place to stay.

Review 124:Great hotel for fait price

Review 125:Great location, good parking possibilities, big and comfy room.
