Reviews for Hotel Cordoba Center

Review 1:Evening menu not great .breakfast could have been served a bit later

Review 2:Close to centre nice staff .clean comfy bed music piano in evenings nice breakfast

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:Spotlessly clean spacious rooms. Great locataion near the railway station and a 10 min walk from the old town.Good buffet breakfast for a reasonable price if booked beforehand at reception. Excellent value for money all in all. Will stay again.

Review 5:The mattresses were pretty worn out (not only hard, but also had some noisy springs) and the pillows left much to be desired.

Review 6:Aside from the beds, very comfortable rooms. Very clean. Excellent public areas: lobby with plenty of comfortable seating and a great rooftop. Secure parking structure with lots of spaces. Easy to find. Good location. Only about a 15 minute, very pleasant walk to the Mezquita. The staff was very nice.

Review 7:1.We arrived in the hotel in the evening. We found not easy to find a decent restaurant in the neighborhood at dinner time. The restaurant opened at 8:30. And the bar served too slow and didn't provide traditional Andalusian food. 2.The hotel charged parking fee of 16.50 for one night. But the staff didn't ask if we drove and parked in the garage of the hotel.

Review 8:The room and facilities are comfortable.

Review 9:sofa where my son slept was not comfortable and noise from outside. windows are not good enough to block sounds from bars at the street.

Review 10:in general almost everything. staff helpfull, brekfast tasteful and various enough. good hotel.

Review 11:Room could use coffee making facilities but did have a safe and refrigerator which were great.

Review 12:Overall a wonderful, modern, comfortable hotel with a beautiful rooftop terrace. The bathroom had double sinks as well. It is a quick walk from the train station and across the street from the wonderful craft brewery, Califa.

Review 13:a little far for the main touristic attractions (Piazza di Spania, Cathedral), noise coming from one guy with a radio in the streed doing breakdance during the night, no slippers for a 4 stars hotel

Review 14:seville in general, close parking

Review 15:Set back from busy road, which means that in room at front of hotel there is traffic noise when window is open.

Review 16:Spacious room, excellent breakfast and located approx 15mins walk from centre. Secure underground parking. Pleasant lounge area.

Review 17:Unfortunately the chef failed to fully cook my fish for dinner, but on the plus side what he did cook was excellent. Be prepared for a brisk stroll if you go out for dinner in the evening.

Review 18:Very good value for money hotel with car parking.

Review 19:I booked this hotel because I read the room was soundproofed. I asked for a quiet room on a high floor but got neither although the hotel was far from full. Outside noise was intrusive.

Review 20:Lovely spacious junior suite whilst the hotel bar was good. If travelling by car the parking is excellent.

Review 21:No complants at all

Review 22:The location, hotel and breakfast was fantastic. We were very lucky with the weather too. Could recommened this hotel to anyone garage faciliteis excellent too

Review 23:Minor point: A pity that the swimming pool was closed also at daytime - 25C is good swimming temperature according to Dutch criteria, also in November

Review 24:Silent, big, clean room. Good beds. Good service. Good garage

Review 25:The room we had overlooked the roof and air-conditioning units of the buildings opposite. The cost of breakfast and any meals in the Hotel was very expensive.

Review 26:Because we arrived by train, the hotel was convenient both for the station and the main sites.

Review 27:Bed was quite hard - which my husband actually loved (said it was best sleep he's had all holiday) but I prefer mine somewhat softer.

Review 28:Clean, nicely appointed hotel. Reception staff friendly. Fairly spacious room. Clean modern bathroom with toiletries. Cordoba is lovely city to walk around and hotel is a pleasant 20 min walk from old town centre. Lots of excellent restaurants within 1-10 min walk from hotel. Paid parking is offered at hotel but we found free parking on the nearby streets.

Review 29:Breakfast poorer than expected. The breakfast staff were a bit miserable, the eggs had sat around, things needed topped up, the coffee was poor and it was generally a disappointing meal. Suggest an egg station and more active breakfast staff. We did not expect the swiming pool to be in operation but we were disappointed not to be able to access the view and the sauna.

Review 30:Our room was very good and the reception helpful.

Review 31:The shower controls. I am an engineer who has run major projects but did I struggle with the controls to try to get the right flow and temperature! Suggest clear instructions are needed above the controls to prevent scalding.

Review 32:Ambience. Friendly atmosphere. Great sense of space.

Review 33:Bath tub to high to get in and out, care needs to be taken especially for elderly

Review 34:Location very close to historic sites and the city centre, available car parking for those traveling by car. Breakfast is international.

Review 35:The only thing that needed attention was a new seal on the base of the shower glass to prevent water leaking on to the floor.

Review 36:The location, staff and value were excellent.

Review 37:Mattress was very hard. Tried to pad with bed cover and blankets but had very poor sleep. Curtains missing hooks, didn't keep light out. Housekeeper should inspect

Review 38:Helpful staff. Good breakfast

Review 39:reception staff were a bit hesitant in allowing us into the room before three o'clock on our arrival but were quite regimented in getting us out of the room on our departure day. management had not allocated sufficient cleaning staff on sunday. we were on floor 5 which was normally served by two cleaners but sunday had one distraught girl trying to do double work. we didn't get our room ready until after 4 pm. the beds were most uncomfortable with a hard mattress and foam -filled pillow.

Review 40:breakfast was really good. the hotel had a very clean appearance. the location was on the upper end of the town but within reach of most attractions.

Review 41:1st day there we had no hot water. The pool area had no bar service. The sauna was ok but the door had to be kept open. They were unwilling to provide a travel iron...they had a laundry service that would iron a dress for 18E!!

Review 42:The room was spacious, clean and had a tub/shower

Review 43:The reception area had lots of comfortable seating, something often lacking in hotels. Also the roof terrace was the perfect place for either a relaxing meal or just a drink.

Review 44:We had a smoking room which we didn't request. We arrived late and didn't request another room but wished we had as there was a strong smell of tobacco

Review 45:The rooftop terrace, the friendly bar staff, the location and the huge room.

Review 46:Too far from the old town and also not to near to the train station (800M). We indicated non-smoking room for our booking but was given smoking floor instead. Furniture old and dodgy. And there was no quilt but a very old looking blanket with stains.

Review 47:Nice lobby and easy to get a cab

Review 48:It's a bit far from the city center but great value for money. And it's pretty I tricky to enter with a car to the center.

Review 49:Clean, new, quiet and great service. Very comfortable for traveling with a car and the rooms are beautiful. There's a rooftop bar and pool overlooking the city which is breathtaking!

Review 50:Leaving.

Review 51:This is a great hotel and so this was our fourth visit. Very close to the train station, near the main shops and a short walk to the Mezquita and other historic attractions. Rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The breakfasts are lavish.

Review 52:everything was superb! The rooms were spacious, even a touch luxurious for us! They were kept very clean and the cleaning staff were very polite and friendly as were the reception staff. The pool was absolutely essential as it was extremely hot in August. It was a good size, with a jacuzzi and a pleasant bar/food area. There were 6 of us travelling and we do not have a bad word to say. We would even look to stay at the hotel in other destinations such as Barcelona

Review 53:It's near from the train station, but not THAT near. You have to walk like 10 minutes with big suitcases under the Córdoba sun from the train station, tho, or get a cab.

Review 54:So we went to Córdoba, and found this hotel on a booking site. The pictures seemed nice, but the rate was surprisingly cheap. So I decided to give it a try. And I'm not disappointed. The room was nice, nice staffs, and all.

Review 55:Hotel staff could be a bit more warm.

Review 56:Great hotel near metro station. You can walk from metro station and in 10-15 min you're at the hotel. You can also take bus to historic center or walk too (30 min approx) and enjoy everything Córdoba has to offer. I was there for 2 days with husband and 8 month old baby, and we look forward to going back to enjoy the pool a little more next time! Overall, nice clean well situated hotel away from tourist noise.

Review 57:Did not experience anything bad. Although, do check upon arrival that you are checked into a non-smoking or smoking room.

Review 58:Fantastic hotel. I would certainly recommend and come here again. Parking is easy underneath the hotel. Brilliant location for easy walk into the center (half mile) and to enjoy the central park outside for an evening stroll. Certainly make most of the pool facility(10am-8pm) and terrace on top of the hotel with great views of the city. The room itself was one of the more impressive 4star rooms we stayed during out round trip of Andalusia. (Seville/Cordoba/Granada)

Review 59:There were 2 front desk staff. One was friendly and the other not. The unfriendly one checked us in somewhat begrudgingly. However that was our only interaction with her and the hotel itself was great so had a great stay.

Review 60:Everything fantastic here. I had single occupancy of a large double room which was modern, spotless and had everything you could need. Free wifi in the room worked great, good aircon, and also a safe. I emailed the hotel beforehand to say that I would be arriving at 11am and if it was too early to check in, could I leave my suitcase. They said yes of course, but in the event the room was already available and they were happy to check me in 4 hours early! Pleasant and helpful staff on reception. Buses nearby if you don't fancy walking into town or its too hot! (I don't know why people complain about the location, you can always look at a map before you book!) But the crowning glory of this hotel is the rooftop infinity pool. A pool with a view! Fantastic for cooling off in the heat and when I was there and it was 39c it wasn't at all crowded. The bar on the terrace up there seemed to be open though I didn't use it myself.

Review 61:nothing

Review 62:The Hotel situation close to rail station. The excellent roof top swimming pool. The comfort and cleanliness. The door separating bedroom from toilet/hall area which reduced air conditioning fan noise. Excellent air conditioning.

Review 63:We did not have the breakfast as it seemed a little over priced but we found a really lovely bakery 2 minutes walk away. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the old town which could be too far for those with very small children but our 4 year old managed it with no problems.

Review 64:We stayed for 2 nights and found this hotel a great location and facilities for a family. The junior suite was great value for money and the roof top pool and bar area was a nice place to enjoy the evening sun.

Review 65:Any difficulties whit using credit card . High costs of parking in comparison to the prices of accomodation.

Review 66:Very comfortable and clean hotel relative close to the old town.

Review 67:- We have lost like 3 hours from our stay in this hotel for restarting magnetic cards that open our room, - Poor old decor, - Swiming Pool open till 20 p.m., - Gym, weak equipment, - Very unhelpful staff,

Review 68:- Terrace,

Review 69:Too far out from main attractions and old town requires taxi or bus journey. I tried twice to email reception so that they could print a tour voucher for me with no success. I then paid €2.00 to use their business centre only to discover printer was out of ink and no replacement cartridges available. 1st night could only eat outside by pool in 38 degrees heat as indoor restaurant was closed!

Review 70:The room was spacious and more like a penthouse suite.

Review 71:Getting out of car park difficult.

Review 72:Delighted that even though we had to check out at noon we were able to let car in underground car park for no extra cost

Review 73:Parking lots inside the venue are too much expensive (16EUR/day) as one can park for free in nearby streets.

Review 74:Simply fantastic hotel with a great location and a great swimming pool on the terrace that is essential for a city that in summer is very hot

Review 75:No coffee/tea making facilities even in a junior suite!! Rooftop swimming pool doesn't have enough seating facilities and the fake grass around it is very wet and dirty.

Review 76:Location of the hotel is its best feature

Review 77:Real business hotel, restaurant closed on Friday evening, unfriendly staff pointing us in the wrong direction and not knowing the neighboorhoud. Roof restaurant not wheelchair accessible.

Review 78:Pool smaller than we expected from photos and very crowded at 6.30 in the evening. Nowhere to sit except ground so we gave up and didn't get in it. Breakfast was very good for those with a sweet tooth. No freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee bitter.

Review 79:Efficient reception. Good underground parking. Our junior suite was lovely with a gorgeous bathroom and huge bed but found bathroom floor to be slippery and would also have appreciated a door on the bathroom but maybe this is a bit old fashioned! The old town was a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

Review 80:Not enough sunbeds around pool

Review 81:Beautiful rooftop pool, good location for the town- 10/15 min walk. Room was lovely and huge! Breakfast outstanding. V good value overall.

Review 82:Not allowed to bring your Own drinks up to the pool area. Asked for a queen bed but got two twin beds pushed together.

Review 83:Easy to find coming off the train and coming home from the old town. Just followed the changing lights !

Review 84:Great hotel in great location for both bus and train stations.very nice roof top pool and bar.rooms are large and comfortable and staff very helpful.you can easily walk into the town or get a taxi from outside the hotel 6 euros.

Review 85:There were not enough parasols in the pool area so people were lying in doorways to get out of the sun. We needed another pillow in the room as there was only one per person. Limited public transport options to the centre.

Review 86:The room was lovely with a massive comfortable bed. It was quiet and staff were friendly. We liked the pool area too. It was a pleasant 25 min walk to tourist centre.

Review 87:Wifi signal wasn't very good on the 6th floor, would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Review 88:close to the train station, really nice rooftop pool,

Review 89:We didn't like the pool & spa opening late & closing way to early in the extreme heat. The spa + bath water was too cold

Review 90:The staff were friendly so we felt were welcome. Close to the station + bus to the Old Center . The room was above average. We loved the pool ,spa & sauna !

Review 91:It's a bit further out from the old town. And as with most Spanish hotels, don't expect tea making facilities.

Review 92:Clean, comfortable and quiet. Rooftop pool a nice perk.

Review 93:The windows didn't close properly on the corner junior suite and the traffic noise was very audible. We asked for anohter and were moved to the other side but the air conditioning wasn't working properly. In spite of raising this 3 times with the staff during the day it still wasn't sorted at 11pm and we were moved to a smaller room. We were finally moved to a suitable suite on the day after.Disappopinting as the hotel must be aware of problems with first 2 rooms. And it wasn't cheap!

Review 94:The Parking charge when it is easy to park on the streets around the Hotel. The price of Breakfast within the Hotel.

Review 95:This Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the main attractions of Cordoba. The rooftop Pool and bar provide a great view of the surrounding city. There are some great breakfast providers nearby if you don't want to pay the excessive price the Hotel charge.

Review 96:Nice spacious room, excellent buffet breakfast, with hot and cold food. 5-10 minute walk to the train station. We had a good meal also in the lobby cafeteria, excellent bar staff.

Review 97:It was a good 20min walk to the old part of the town and some parts not so good with people begging and sleeping in door ways.very sad to see.We also did not like the way the sign in the breakfast room had been written telling people it was forbidden to remove food.I would not have thought it necessary as the breakfast was plentiful and more than adequate..

Review 98:We were travelling from Granada on route to Seville so the hotel was in a perfect position for the Station. We also booked a Junior Suite and that was just fabulous it was very hot during our stay and the air con worked perfectly you could even ajust it to silent mode.great at night. The room was serviced well each day and although we did not ask our bed was also changed each day.It was also lovely to have a room that was NO SMOKING Our room was on the 4th floor and even though it overlooked the main road was not at all noisy.

Review 99:The bath design was poor. The shower had no means of fixing the head to the wall and water ended up on the floor.

Review 100:The room was lovely. Very quiet. Great Bed. Very comfortable and large. The staff were very friendly. Parking is in the hotel and easy to access at any time.

Review 101:We stayed in April when Spain was experiencing a heatwave, it would have been nice if the hotel could have opened the bar on the roof top terrace.

Review 102:This hotel was a 20 minute walk from the old city and far enough away to feel like you was from the bustle of the city. The roof top terrace and pool was a real bonus after a hot day of sight seeing to come back to the hotel and chill for a couple of hours.

Review 103:Customer service at front desk wasn't that great, average breakfast, uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable pillows

Review 104:Large bedroom, balcony pool, easy to find with onsite secure parking

Review 105:It is a "healthy hike" to most of the places where a tourist will spend time. Not unreasonable, but most of our days started with a 30 minute walk somewhere. This means 30 minutes walk back for a siesta, then 30 minutes to go to dinner, etc. It was certainly good for us, and we could have taken cabs but refused on general principle.

Review 106:We arrived by AVE from Madrid, and the hotel is just a short walk from the station. Very modern, big lobby with bar hotel. Room was small, but very nice. Hotel service people were very accommodating and helpful when I endured a short illness.

Review 107:No coffee and tea making facility. No complimentary bottled water. Hotel should provide advise that this is not Cordoba Centro. When we asked information center at Cordoba BUS station, we were given direction to Cordoba Centro, which was wrong.

Review 108:Spacious room

Review 109:anything

Review 110:The room was beautiful with a very confortable bed. the hotel was clean and staff was so kind and nice. A brilliant experience. I would recommend it.

Review 111:Hotel staff was extremely helpful. The hotel is located 15 minutes easy walk to the old town. Less than 10 minutes walk to stations and 5 minutes to a supermarket.

Review 112:A/C wasn't working properly. We stayed during the first week of March and coincidentally that weekend Spain got higher temperatures than usual for late february early march when it was supposed to be cold. However, every time we would return to the room it was hot, we called front desk and a very pleasent employee came to check the a/c unit, he said it should work now. A couple of hours later a/c was still not working, hotel was pretty booked so no room change was given to us, at the end we had to sleep with our windows open that night with the glare of the neon hotel outside lights coming through our window. But overall its a hotel i've stayed in the past and never had any issues.

Review 113:Cleanliness of hotel and facilities.

Review 114:My wife, 5 feet 2 inches tall had to climb in wardrobe to remove/replace hangers. Also difficult to get over wide edge of bath. Had to turn heating right off as couldn't get below 26 degrees.v

Review 115:Breakfast.

Review 116:Ambience of the hotel, busy, modern and had a good feel, a proper 4star hotel. Would use it next time. Secure Parking. Easy to Find. A good choice for breakfast buffet. A decent bar. Excelent Italian restaurant opposite. Enjoyable stay.

Review 117:The pillows and tea/coffee in the room would have been good

Review 118:Central with great facilities good food and welcoming staff. About 20 minutes walk to historic sites but easy to find

Review 119:The layout of the bathroom and the fittings were very awkward. The bath was an odd shape and the tap came off the wall. The bathroom door was very noisy

Review 120:Location and ease of checking in and out

Review 121:We had a hydro bath which was great after a day sightseeing but the shower was over the bath and hand held.A simple wall bracket would be an improvement.

Review 122:Unfriendly/unsmiling/unhelpful staff at reception desk(didnt look like they enjoyed working there), poor lighting of room, expensive breakfasts which were advertised for less but actually cost much more unless specially pre-booked

Review 123:Central location, design, layout, spaciousnes of room and bathroom, great dual TV system with multi-language programmes, cleanliness of room and bathroom

Review 124:The price is very fair for what you get!! The best 4 stars I've been in Spain for a long time. Good and large rooms, modern facility, very good room amenities, and good location even though outside the old city. A good surprise!

Review 125:We were having a few days in Cadiz before returning to Cordoba to stay at the hotel and were able to leave our large suitcase with the hotel even though we weren't checking in until 4 days later. Very convenient.

Review 126:We went for dinner to the hotel restaurant and ordered steaks medium. That was horrible, we had to send one steak back, it was cold, rare and in the end we foud hair in chips. No presentation of food, on the plate we had meat and 4 potatos. Never seen such a thing in my life.

Review 127:Generally hotel was ok, except from their restaurant.

Review 128:The information claimed it was near the train station which is true, but the Marriott is much closer, i.e., walking distance.

Review 129:Big, expensive, good staff.

Review 130:a little bit far for walking to Renfe and autobus station .

Review 131:Good place if you don't drag a heavy luggage. very nice room and cleaness.nice staff to tell you the supermarket.

Review 132:Only one of the 3 people at reception was nice. The other two were unfriendly and indifferent

Review 133:Walkable distance (5min walk) from train and bus station. In front of nice square. Rooms are VERY spacious, very comfortable, you almost want to stay and sleep in. It's about a20 min walk to all the attractions but the waysewdung down to the center are nice and enjoyable with lots of ppl and stores. I actually think we saw more of cordoba by staying a bit further. Would definitely stsy again and recommend it to everyone

Review 134:We have had a fantastic weekend in Cordoba, not only was the weather excellent but also all the facilities at the Hotel Cordoba Centre. Well worth a visit!

Review 135:Nothing.

Review 136:Visited pool on this occasion and what a spectacular feature. Beautiful skyline view. Immaculately clean and well presented. Room service excellent.
