Review 1：The place needs a bit of a make-over but still good to stay.
Review 2：Great location if you want to go hiking or trekking in the area. Located in the center of Ellmau. Right next to a good Gasthof with Biergarten.
Review 3：I didn't have Euros when I ordered lunch and was not allowed to charge it to the room, or pay in American dollars. The waitress was quite adamant, but the manager was helpful.
Review 4：The large "Classical Bavarian" hotel was comfortable, but a bit dark for my taste. Ask for a balcony room to the back for an excellent view of the mountain.
Review 5：Limited catering for vegetarian diet. No cooked option for breakfast.
Review 6：I liked the atmosphere of welcoming friendliness, the town centre location, and the spacious clean room. The owners were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Most rooms have balconies with mountain views.
