Reviews for Hotel Córdoba Centro

Review 1:Best location for staying in Cordoba, literally minutes away from all the major tourist attractions. Very friendly staff helped us get around quickly. Clean, quiet, comfortable.

Review 2:a double bed was reserved, but when we arrived the receptionist told us that he doesn't have double rooms, only twin, and that the information from booking.com doesn't have anything about double bed. I had the reservation with me but he said that in his email there was nothing about it. Basically he was trying to deceive - while insisting on having what I reserved I saw in hotel's email from booking.com that he had printed out earlier that 'double bed' is clearly mentioned. After me pointing at that he reluctantly spoke with maid and she said that one such room was actually available. Probably they were just unwilling to give it away because the reservation was a special offer from booking 4 times cheaper than the hotel's official prices.

Review 3:nice location in centre

Review 4:The breakfast was rather basic no fresh coffee the breakfast room had no atmosphere and piped radio music instead of perhaps some traditional Spanish guitar or similar would have made for a nicer atmosphere. And extra pillows would be welcome.

Review 5:The location was superb as was the friendliness of the staff.

Review 6:one of the receptionists was rude and had an unapproachable manner canteen food very poor smell of stale cooking near the lift and also could smell it in the room rooms a bit tinny even the double ones didn't replace the same amour of towels the next day few bed bugs not enough power sockets

Review 7:The people on check out check in were very friendly and helpful the wifi was good rooms have a lot of space between them

Review 8:- horrible breakfast; - very small room (but it's ok for sleep one night)

Review 9:- good location, 15 min. on foot from bus/train station, 10 min. from mezquita; - friendly staff;

Review 10:- Very expensive (but maybe because we were there during the Feria -- which was amazing!) - We had breakfast at the cafe at the front of the hotel, but the girl was very rude to us (for no apparent reason other than we struggled with speaking Spanish quickly), served our pastries cold, and didn't give us all the change back that she should have

Review 11:- Great location - Helpful staff - Decent size room - Air con

Review 12:Breakfast is overpriced for the selection they offer. Only bakery with some sliced meat and cheese. No vegetables, just little fruits. Their own cafeteria is better at the entrance. Eat there, don't waste the money for the breakfast in the hotel.

Review 13:Great location, good 3-star service for the price. Rooms are good enough with A/C, good wifi.

Review 14:The beds were VERY hard and uncomfortable for both of us. We found the sheets very scratchy and would have loved a blanket other than the bed cover. The rooms are very small, no place to really open your luggage except the floor. The ceiling paint was cracked and peeling in the bathroom.

Review 15:The location was unbeatable. The restaurant downstairs was very convenient. The room was quiet, dark and clean. Good hot water and pressure. The AC worked perfectly. The staff were lovely.

Review 16:No coffee ,tea and kettle in the room.

Review 17:Welcoming and very helpful receptionist especially Miguel(I hope spelling is correct). He completed my check in very quickly and was very helpful in making my tours easy.

Review 18:For some reason the hotel's wifi was not showing as secure during our stay, despite the reception staff's efforts in trying to sort it.

Review 19:Very good location and very courteous, friendly and helpful staff..

Review 20:Lovely hotel, right in the centre of Cordoba. Helpful staff. Coffee shop downstairs with good value breakfast etc. They have a car park (for which you pay extra). Very narrow streets to car park but well signposted by hotel.

Review 21:Location is right in the middle of city with a number of eateries around. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is served in a functional cafe which seemed bit off but the food was great.

Review 22:Nothing everything fine.

Review 23:Superb location on a pedestrian area 2/3 minutes walk from the old town. Very helpful staff. Great Wi-Fi. Had an internal facing bedroom which was very quite.

Review 24:Difficult to find in a car. Cordoba is a maze even with GPS. AC did not work very well. Rooms were very small and only window was too small and in a well. Very dark.

Review 25:Location was superb, right on the main pedestrian street. Close to shops, restaurants and cultural sights.

Review 26:- breakfast was in a coffee shop (in same building as hotel, you get a voucher for coffee, juice, croissant and toast) where staff was very stressed each morning, especially when several hotel guests and also others arrived at once

Review 27:-directly in city centre next to a big square with fantastic atmosphere in the evening - parking directly next to hotel (many spaces available) -very friendly staff, fluent in English - room very spacious and clean (a bit clearaudient but this is typical for Spain) - we had a room not facing the street which was very quite, don't know how the other rooms would be like

Review 28:Loud air conditioning blowing on the face - hard to sleep with her, without her there is no way to sleep because of the heat. No remote control for the air-con. Głośna klimatyzacja dmuchająca na twarz - z nią ciężko zasnąć, bez niej nie sposób zasnąć z powodu temperatury.

Review 29:Anywhere near the biggest plus of the hotel and its own parking through the wall. Café under his breath, comfortable but cramped and expensive parking (13 Eu - 24h). Breakfast can fill up, but you have to ask for second helpings. The hotel provide an assessment of 8,5 - when reached 8.3! Biggest defeat is air conditioning in room. Największa porażka to klimatyzacja.

Review 30:My first room smelled like sewage and had pubic hair in the bathroom. The second room had a shower that stopped up so bad it almost overflowed. The mattress was uncomfortable; you could feel springs coming through.

Review 31:The location was great.

Review 32:Excellent location, even for disabled travellers like us. Friendly staff and very good facilities for such a reasonably priced hotel.

Review 33:Non smoking room has smoke smell.

Review 34:Location is very good; staff is very helpful.

Review 35:Located in a pedestrianized area the hotel was ideally situated to walk to all the main attractions in central Cordoba.

Review 36:Old fashioned furniture in the room

Review 37:Great location Comfort bed Clean room

Review 38:Het ontbijt was zeer slecht, en vooral de koffie.

Review 39:Toplocatie

Review 40:paying for parking

Review 41:Location

Review 42:breakfast could offer more options

Review 43:perfect location

Review 44:Great location - we could walk everywhere and staff very helpful. Also parking very easy

Review 45:Air condation was noisy.

Review 46:Car park (direcly to the hotel) where it is a big problem in Cordoba.

Review 47:Difficult to find the car park with the one way road system. Didn't like the internal facing room

Review 48:The staff and location were perfect

Review 49:Location not part of charm.

Review 50:Clean polite cheap

Review 51:Cafe food used for meals ok ( not great)

Review 52:Clean, enough space, central, value

Review 53:Nothing

Review 54:Modern, clean, spacious

Review 55:Everything

Review 56:Hard to reach by car

Review 57:Service

Review 58:Nothing really

Review 59:Location Staff friendly and very helpful Café breakfast Garage

Review 60:Staff, location, rooms.

Review 61:I liked everything!

Review 62:Location, staff, rate, room for rate, breakfast, everything!

Review 63:The only complaint for me will be no ventilator in my bathroom. Itbecame steamy after shower.

Review 64:I stayed two nights at Hotel Cordoba Centro on late May. Although itlocates at city center, it was very quiet at night during my stay. Thestaffs are very helpful. Two restaurants recommended by staffs are verygood, one is Casa El Pisto, the other one is Taberna Salinas whichoffers dishes different from other restaurants. Overall, it had been agreat experience.

Review 65:The only difficulty I had was finding the car park in the city.

Review 66:The staff were good and supportive. The tour guide I think her name was Helena was great. She gave an excellent synopsis of the history of the city. I shall certainly go there again.

Review 67:1st room top floor hot with noisy aircon. 2nd room cooler but shower head faulty & draining slow. Poor sound proofing, noisy people, slamming doors & flushing toilets all night. Breakfast poor, only juice, hot drink, toast & sweetbread on offer.

Review 68:Location.

Review 69:The bed was slightly hard, although it was as good as any other bed in the four cities we visited in Spain. The two safes in the room failed to operate as advertised.

Review 70:The staff was amazing. The person who checked us in spent a great deal of time with us, giving us the lay of the land. They were very hospitable. The location was perfect for visiting the Mezquita, the Roman bridge, and all of the major sites. They had a wonderful homemade pasta house next door that was to die for, and they knew the best Spanish restaurants and bodegas.

Review 71:Nothing.

Review 72:It is a perfect location once you have found the car park ! Within easy walking distance of all the main sites. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the bedroom was basic but clean with a very good bathroom.

Review 73:We very much liked the location and it was a good 3 star hotel, no problem whatsoever. We didn't have breakfast included, but every morning would go into the plaza tendilla and sit in the sun enjoying our breakfast there. The staff were friendly.

Review 74:Nothing major. The parking was not well indicated. They should write the hotel name on the Seville parking sign.

Review 75:The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and up to date. On our arrival a guy helped us park the car on calle seville. They had a baby bed set up in the room already. There is a fridge in the room which is great if you need to keep things cold.

Review 76:Air conditioning was inefficient and noisy. Safe did not operate properly. Had multiple failures of room keycard.

Review 77:Location Cost Issues with safe and room keycards were dealt with well

Review 78:The room was cramped. The key-card controlled electricity emitted such an irritating buzz, I had to pull the card overnight.

Review 79:Walking distance to everything historic and modern--sites, shopping, restaurants, and a supermarket. The friendly and patient staff have very good English.

Review 80:I understand we were paying for location but cost more than double our Granada hotel which was also centrally located. More expensive than we usually pay (are currently on a 3 month trip of Europe from NZ so try not to pay too much for accommodation per night). Standard of hotel was typical 3 star ....it didn't seem any better than other cheaper ones we have stayed in.

Review 81:Brilliant location.

Review 82:This was one of the worst hotel experiences in Spain. A small room with a very uncomfortable bed and a very loud air conditioning. Almost impossible to sleep. At the same time expensive. The (expensive) breakfast option consisted of a few toasted breads at the coffee shop in front! The check-in procedures are cumbersome (needed over 15 minutes) and the parking procedures, too. So please go elsewhere. The location is good but this is the only thing which speaks for the hotel.

Review 83:Due to the current financial situation in Spain, the big toyshop that used to be opposite is now derelict and the frontage is a shelter for beggars/homeless people.

Review 84:Great location with a lovely small bread/cakes shop close by and a supermarket around the corner. The Plaza de las Tendilla nearby is lovely plaza at the centre of a busy area of nice shops. The cafe below was quite popular with the locals. The room had a good view over the street from which to watch the hustle and bustle of street life. We asked for a quiet room and as regards street noise it was quiet but there were noisy people in adjoining rooms sometimes.Staff were very helpful and polite as well. We stayed for five nights. Would go back again.

Review 85:I was, frankly, surprised at the cost of a double room, compared to the cost of a double room at the Dona Maria in Sevilla--a much, much nicer hotel whose nightly cost was just slightly higher than Hotel Cordoba Centro.

Review 86:The breakfast facilities were not very good. The cafe on the ground floor was cold and the staff could not speak much english, but the orange use was fresh and absolutely a 10 out of 10.

Review 87:The location is excellent and we received excellent information from the staff.

Review 88:This is not a 3 star hotel. The worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. We were given a voucher to eat in a nearby cafe and we were allowed only to have 1 croissant 1 toast, 1 little packet of jam and 1 coffee. Egg or salad of any sort was out of question. Even though this hotel advertises as sound proof maybe that is the case from the outside. In our room all night long we could hear every toilet in the hotel flush. Also the heating was quite loud and that too disturbed our sleep very often. Even with G PS it took us over 70 minutes to find the parking simply because there is only one way through many, many alleys to the parking.

Review 89:Staff is very polite and helpful and the hotel is in a very good location.

Review 90:Strange smell outside the room on first day however the room was fresh. Breakfast could be improved.

Review 91:Great location in the city center surrounded by various types of shops(eateries , bars etc.). A supermarket is just behind the the hotel. Comfortable Rooms. Very helpful staff.

Review 92:Because of the layout of the streets, it is difficult to get a car to the hotel. If you live there and know the area, that may be easier, but not for visitors.

Review 93:Close to good restaurants and walking distance from the Great Cathedral and Mosque, bridge and museum. Staff was very friendly and helpful... made some calls for us and worked to get tickets for us to visit the Alhambra in Granada.

Review 94:Overall very well decorated but some items like lamp shades getting a bit shabby which lets the place down

Review 95:great location. The hotel was near the old town and not too far from Bus and The railway station. A very comfortable room with good bathroom facilities. Well equipped including mini bar

Review 96:No wifi in the room. The air condition was VERY loud. The room smelled (not so much, but still) of tobacco smoke which was not nice.

Review 97:Very good location, friendly staff. Spacious room. If they were to fix the three things I listed as "didn't like", I would definitively recommend.

Review 98:The breakfast was only continental with no options to pay extra to get an egg or a sandwich.

Review 99:The hotel was clean and with a modern caracter. Extra plus for parking in the garage. Comfortable beds.

Review 100:Pitty not to stay more days. Must get to Cordoba again.

Review 101:We enjoyed the stay in this hotel. All staff are very kind and helpfull.Any time that we intend to be in Cordoba (a beautifull city) we will stay in the same hotel. Just pay attention if you drive to the Hotel. Call the hotel first to find out what streets are open to get to the hotel garage, because the hotel stays in the heart of historic city.

Review 102:Parking is an issue with the one way streets, if you are driving here, pick a different hotel or park in a safe location and take a cab. To getto the hotel parking it requires a lot of turns on one-way streets. Theac did not work part of the night.

Review 103:Liked the location, near lots of resturants and shops in a good area.

Review 104:Opening of the parking is uncomfortable and requires each time to request to the staff. Parking is better to allow the opening of a hotel with the card. Need to know more steps need to rise after the elevator. It's uncomfortable when you arrive with a laggage.

Review 105:Staff is very friendly and try to help in every issue we need. Although there is no view from the window, you can sleep quietly when you are in the city center. Excellent Location.

Review 106:Finding the parking garage was difficult. Hotel should send directions via email after booking.

Review 107:Close to what wanted to see, old Jewish Quarter. Cafe right in front was great for breakfast.

Review 108:Problem when we arrived finding our way into the car park due topedestrianising of all surrounding areas. Thought that we shouldn'tbe driving in the pedestrian areas but discovered that in fact it wasacceptable, indeed unavoidable. Our advise would be to investigate howto access the carpark on foot. We did this when we were leaving andfinding our way onto the major road system was thus made easy.

Review 109:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cordoba Centro. The Hotel staff wereextremely friendly and helpful. Very convenient for enjoying the"Old Town", all places of interest, eating out, shopping. Safeparking at the hotel. We felt the hotel had recently under gone a majorrefurbishment. Breakfast availble at hotel's own cafe so no"early" start, eat whenever! Great!

Review 110:Our room had a strong sewage smell. No tea making facilities and no wifiin rooms. It was a smoker's room.

Review 111:Good location. Breakfast adequate for 5 Euro. Beds comfortable andgood shower.

Review 112:Excellent location: 5 min by foot to the old city, Cathedral, Alcasar and at the same time it is located nearby the main square of Cordoba, shopping area and so on. According to my request we had very quiet, comfortable room. The price absolutely corresponds to the class of the hotel.

Review 113:If you arrive to the hotel with a car, prepare to a nightmare! Access to the hotel and the hotel parking just awful! We wasted precious two (!!!) hours to reach the hotel parking! First of all, the instructions with the map that were sent to us by the hotel were just completely useless. Luck that we got GPS with our car, that really helped us. But the big problem was not to find the hotel itself, but to access with the vehicle, because of the no entry signs and non drive streets. When we asked the hotel clerk to help us in explaining how to access the hotel parking we did not get the help we expected and it's seems like he is not surprised and it's known problem of the hotel. In the end when we were really frustrated, we simply drived through no entry sign and through coming cars across the street to access the carpark (by the way as one of the options that are contrary to traffic laws that offered to us by the hotel's clerk!!). The cost of the parking for hotel customers is similar as general parking fee for everyone, 16 euros per day, very expensive. On our opinion its should be a lower price. Some other negative things - the water in the shower was not very hot and there is no WI-FI access in rooms.

Review 114:Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center of the city and all things, just 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and next to the main Plaza. Hotel well maintained, very clean, double room with good double mattress, shower nice and clean, towels fluffy and super white. Fee parking is available adjacent to the hotel and from the parking you can get into the hotel lobby, very convenient when need to cary the luggage from the car. Hotel also has a reserved park place for hotel customers (fee parking).

Review 115:No wifi signal in rooms. No internation tv channels. Weak breakfast.Impossible access by car other than paid parking on back streets (veryconfusing access).

Review 116:Spacious and confortable room with good sound insulation for the street.

Review 117:Free breakfast is a joke - don't count on it (it's small loaf of bread with jam, glass of packeted juice and cup of coffee) . Bathroom is a bit cramped.

Review 118:Excellent location, close to major historic sights and shopping district. Parking next to hotel. Staff very friendly.

Review 119:The hotels is very clean, with modern facilities and very nice helpful staff. It is close to the old part of Cordoba, but also to the modern part, the shopping area and station (15 min walking).

Review 120:Difficult to find, Car park difficult to find Must check out by noon (not flexible at all) View from hotel room was a large buildingblocking all view

Review 121:Getting our hire car to the hotels dedicated parking seemed a challengebecause of the narrow oneway streets in the historic centre. Reserveyour parking in advance and the hotel will send you an excellent streetmap which made this task straightforward. I would advise that you the"drive" the route on Google street view, but don't be put off byvehicles coming at you from the wrong direction - in April 2012 Googlehad not got up to date with the city's changes to its oneway system.Trust the hotel's route map and you will be fine.

Review 122:It was a modern, very well run and comfortable hotel in an excellentlocation for exploring the historic core of Cordoba.

Review 123:Language barrier..more my fault..but could be a bit more accessible forEnglish speaking visitors.

Review 124:Clean, convenient, central location, everything nearby

Review 125:nothing

Review 126:It is very closed to the old town. The recepcionist was kind, and suggested free parking place at nearby (at the weekend).

Review 127:1- more road signs leading to the hotel would be better as it is not easy to get there. The hotel has great location though

Review 128:1- Staff very helpful

Review 129:Small room, noisy aircon

Review 130:Location, helpful staff, clean

Review 131:too expensive for too small rooms, for poor breakfast with a voucher to visit a cafeteria

Review 132:it´s part of a parking building

Review 133:Breakfast

Review 134:Nice cosy room. Good shower. Great location
