Reviews for Hotel España Lanjarón

Review 1:Breakfast is very basic, as it is many places in Spain. No fridge.

Review 2:Realy nice place, a tiny bit worn, but nothing to talk abouth. The included dinner was also nice, and they let me buy a nice botle of wine and keep the leftower for next day. Also, could find parking very close. Value is fantastic, and Lanjaron is a great litle town/big village.

Review 3:Location just in the main road! 24/7! Terrible +no double doors orWindows, pool in refurbishment, hard matters, very tinny tv! The Odor ofold inside th room!

Review 4:The we come of the sweet lady Maria Jose and some waiters, and thebuilding. Nice tapas.

Review 5:We were lucky enough to be there on a day when there was a big banquet/celebration, The restaurant inside was booked by a group of up to 100 ppl including kids and the music was on until at least 1 am while noise downstairs (including shouting kids!) went on until 3 am. I am sure this is not an issue on other nights but this one was not ideal.

Review 6:Old style hotel, marble floors, furniture. Early 20th century feel

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Nice charming hotel, great location close to the Balneario de Lanjaron(next door), lots of shops nearby. Great breakfast. Its is not a buffet but we were able to oder what ever we wanted from the great local food. Eggs, jamon, bread tomato, cheese...the hotel has a restaurant and its a good value for money. We enjoyed the calm swimming pool also. Another plus, the staff are lovely:-)

Review 9:The breakfast was a little scarce, just one plate with one piece of toast and not much else.

Review 10:The location was very good, close to the SALAO park, and the swimming pool was attached to a lovely garden.

Review 11:What a lovely hotel - beautiful building and lovely rooms - the pool shaded by tropical plants is a bonus. You will feel like you have stepped into a bygone era. Dining on the terrace with delicious tapa and great menu, was a highlight.

Review 12:I should have asked for a quit room on the back of the building in stead of staying in the front where street noises are really loud. Breakfast could be a bit more elaborate.

Review 13:Big rooms, no carpets (!), situation in town, atmosphere

Review 14:A party disturbed our sleep the first night but after that peaceful.

Review 15:Good value old "grand hotel" - a little tired but that's part of the charm.

Review 16:The only downside to my stay was that my room faced onto the main road to Granada and was made noisy by constant traffic, including lorries and buses.

Review 17:The hotel is extremely atmospheric, harking back to a bygone Spanish era. It is cool and dark and filled with antique furniture and ceramics. My room, and also the bathroom, were spacious and clean and felt a little regal. There was also admirable space outside - two little balconies from my room, and a sunny pool area (though the pool was covered over due to the season). A cafe/restaurant is attached to the hotel which is particularly useful for breakfast.

Review 18:The smell of the drains in the bathroom!

Review 19:The half board deal was good value. I liked the character of the hotel amongst the hustle and bustle of the town and I appreciated the secure storage provided for my bike.

Review 20:Having to leave. Such lovely people.

Review 21:The Hotel and Staff made our stay very special. Beautiful pool which was very quiet. All you could hear was the sound of the water running down the mountain and birds singing in the wonderful setting. Food very good and great value. I could have stayed forever.

Review 22:location .

Review 23:Nothing to dislike if you enjoy rural Spain

Review 24:Excellent walking countryside and hospit[able town. Helpful staff in a typical old style quality hotel

Review 25:The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the food was excellent.

Review 26:Beds (4 singles, for us and our 2 young children) were not very comfortable.

Review 27:Excellent location on a leafy street in Lanjarón, 3 minutes walk from the famous spa and health facility (Balneario de Lanjarón) which we visited. The hotel is maintained in excellent period condition, a charming reminder of days past. Convenient to restaurants and shops. Very clean.

Review 28:Breakfast was quite basic. Swimming pool not in use.

Review 29:Spacious room with big windows, nice and airy. Nice bathroom with towels and products provided. Great value for money. Nice spa town, with lots of local restaurants to eat at.

Review 30:Plumbing and bathroom facilities need updating.

Review 31:Good location for exploring town and surroundings.

Review 32:Swimming pool is out of action and looks likely to remain so longterm. Breakfast very basic.

Review 33:Location, giving very easy access to town.
