Reviews for Best Western Jørgensens Hotel

Review 1:Comfort, service and breakfast were exceptional. It was a very convenient location with associated facilities and near other restaurants, bars and shops.

Review 2:The garbage man came very early in the morning, so it was for me an early wake up.

Review 3:The excellent staff in the reception and the really nice breakfast. The historic building was interesting and so nice.

Review 4:Nothing we didn't like.

Review 5:The historical architecture is charming and the hotel has not made the mistake of institutionalizing and modernizing without sensitivity to the beautiful plaster and woodwork. The breakfast is fantastic. So many choices and wonderful flavor!!

Review 6:Room access, 'bit like a Cooks tour' Room over furnished, removes usable room. Rooms at front and side are subject to street noise which is excessive including music and partying restaurant patrons. Terrible pillows, no support. Breakfast fine as far as food, but to find it bring your own 'miners lamp'.

Review 7:Location Parking Assistance of staff.

Review 8:Was so noisy, by stairs and courtyard window. Earplugs provided. Shower had body/hair soap. Cleaning manager entered room even though "do not disturb" sign was on the door. Miserable mattress.

Review 9:Common areas were beautiful... Good breakfast. Affordable parking (see YouTube video to find it!)

Review 10:there was hardly wifi signal in the room. you had to gout to reception or corridor. our room was standard double room with extra two beds fit inside for kids, sold very expensive as "family room". photos were cheating because they were taken from "kings room"! hotel manager told us she sees no problem with such situation. I was very angry and disappointed. breakfast were ok, but nothing special. definitely it wasn't 4* hotel, merely 3*. not worth it for this price.

Review 11:nice location at city center, antique old building and interiors.

Review 12:The staff was friendly and efficient. We had a large group visiting from all corners of the world for a wedding and we found the hotel to be a warm and inviting place for us to gather at any time during the day

Review 13:Wide variety in quality of rooms. Small bathroom with no shower stall, shower just drained on bathroom floor in one of the older rooms I had. Two of the 5 days of my first stay water was lukewarm/cool instead of hot (late night, early morning, didn't seem to matter). Bit of a miscommunication on laundry service: was expecting 50 DKK, ended up being 380 DKK because all shirts and pants were drycleaned and pressed instead of laundered. Would be better to specify how laundry service works as these were just travel clothes stuffed in laundry bag, not fine dress clothes or anything (though they were very well done by the service!). This was only negative surprise, very nice place to stay overall.

Review 14:Historic hotel on cobblestone street, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Phenomenal breakfast buffet. Excellent friendly and helpful staff perfect for American visitor. Nice bar/restaurant in basement. Nice to have free WIFI as well.

Review 15:The building must be refurbished immediatly. You feel everywhere an unpleasant smell. We change the furat room because of the smell from the sewerage.

Review 16:Location in down town

Review 17:Our room could not reach our expectations - the light in the room was very poor and in the bathroom decent light was totally missing and made shaving difficult. No space for toilet articles /bag in bathroom. 4th time we staid in hotel and there is a reduction in service - example is that during breakfast (where the selection is very good) there is only empty tables and you need to pick-up cups, napkins, cutlery in addition to the food!

Review 18:The hotel's is beautifull from outside and inside in common area. Very central and good parking facilities.

Review 19:Few parking places, rooms need renovation. Poor noise insulation. Rooms old fashioned. Bathroom so small.

Review 20:Excellent location in pedestrian street.Charming style

Review 21:The cleaning could have been better in the room.

Review 22:Breakfast Room facilities Parking space was very Close although the hotel is located at a walking street.

Review 23:Difficult to get there by car, especially when staff isn't there to operate the ballard that blocks cars from enterering a pedestrian zone Place could do with some revamping

Review 24:Nothing stood out positively, guess that it is in the city centre would be positive for leasure travellers

Review 25:We were staying 8 days and it was quite borring to have the same breakfast every single day. More varieties would be expected. Regarding the bed - we were couple and had to sleep in two twins beds, which was not good. Once booked "Queen size bed", it should be 1 piece of bed, not two close to each other.

Review 26:Cleanliness - just perfect every single day. Towers - very soft & clean. Blankets - extremely light & comfy.

Review 27:However it is not classy... Things are slowly running down a bit. The bathroom was smelling a bit sulphurous, I think it was the water.

Review 28:The interior is classic ... Breakfast is good, and don't miss the restaurant!

Review 29:This was my first visit here, and I was welcomed with open arms, amazing service and really awesome and helpful staff. I will defiantly come back next time I visit Horsens!

Review 30:Difficult to find where to park - especially in the dark. Staff helpful in describing what to do. On second visit (return journey back to UK) much easier.

Review 31:Staff very helpful. Room comfortable and well equipped. Free easy to connect wi-fi. Dinner suited our needs after a long drive from Rotterdam. Breakfast good variety of choice and well presented.

Review 32:Noise from the main street: bikes at night, sound of flushing toilets.

Review 33:Nice old hotel and good breakfast. It is in the city center, so everywhere is close.

Review 34:Would have liked a little more information up front of where to park. Had to pay for parking in town and walk down the pedestrian area to the hotel. Reception then told us that we could park behind the hotel which meant driving out of town again to where we had actually passed. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces for a small fee.

Review 35:We were only looking for a quick overnight stay whilst visiting family in town. I found it was cheaper to book through Booking.com than direct. My ratings might be unjust as we did not see much of the place but what we experienced we can only recommend. Great place, right in the middle of town, friendly staff and a super breakfast.

Review 36:I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the Check Out (the one and only lady at the desk looking for some info on the internet for one other guest). This is just too long and should have been managed better.

Review 37:Nice Breakfast. Great location in the centre of the city. Great efficiency of the staff at the arrival. The Bistro-restaurant advised by the hotel (just downstairs) is great!

Review 38:To find and reach the Hotel by car is a little bit tricky. The different adress for GPS should be highlighened - I didn't recognize and turned some streets around because of the pedestrian zone.

Review 39:Great atmosphere in the Hotel. Good and nice Restaurant direct in the basement of the Hotel.

Review 40:Room very small After one shower the whole bathroom was wet Very small bathroom View from our room on a big brick wall 2 meters from our window.

Review 41:Very nice old building Located in the middle of the center

Review 42:very basic room in comparison to the classy hotel

Review 43:very helpful and friendly personel beautiful, classy building The hotel is situated in a pedestrian area, but we could just park our car (for free) in front of the hotel. Two nice restaurants

Review 44:Hotel is an old mansion, so there are several steep steps to front door, and lift does not work on all floors, so difficult with heavy luggage. No staff to assist with luggage.

Review 45:Located on Main Street, good value, comfortable, good breakfast.

Review 46:We had room with window out to the back yard, and they (hotell staff) maked a lot of noice with containers, food delivery, garbage and so. My advice: ask for quiet room

Review 47:Nice old hotell Nice inventary Good location

Review 48:The room . Not suitable for a family with a 7-8 year old , located above an alley way where music bars are open till early hours . We were told our room was a executive room with air-con . On opening the door there were 4 sets of ear plugs provided ! I guess the air con was so you kept the windows shut ! Apart from the location of the room the hotel was fine .Just be careful what room you get when booking if you have children .

Review 49:The location of this Hotel is great for sitting out in the square , the Hotel restaurants ribs are worth ago . Breakfast is more than you could ever want .

Review 50:Nothing

Review 51:This is a romantic, gracious hotel, free coffee and tea on tap any time and a good restaurant. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A lovely place to stay in the heart of the town.

Review 52:The restaurant (pub) in the cell

Review 53:A fantastic location in the city center and foremost a very responsive staff. Thumbs up for the ladies at the reception!

Review 54:the hotel needs a complete renewal.

Review 55:good location. friendly staff

Review 56:There was no ehaugh warm water on the shower.

Review 57:Nice interior, on the main street- very super! Breakfast was rich.

Review 58:breakfast buffet.....with fresh flovers on the table, and lovely bed

Review 59:Very nice personell. We got even upgraded after having trouble with parking. Very good breakfast and bread was from a local, award-winning baker.

Review 60:Vriendelijkheid personeel

Review 61:Locatie

Review 62:Parking a bit confusing

Review 63:The wi-fi did not work in our room

Review 64:The helpfulness of the staff

Review 65:The extra costs for the stay of a dog, it was about 50% of the normal price

Review 66:The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is centrally located.

Review 67:too small parking lot but you can park for free in front of the hotel

Review 68:the room too small

Review 69:The hotel building is charming and the location is great!

Review 70:The welcome I received from the front desk and the continuing helpful and friendly staff.

Review 71:Friendly staff

Review 72:Wifi did not work at all.

Review 73:Different options for eating, in hotel (bit more fancy), or below hotel for steak/ribs/beer.

Review 74:Very weak WiFi signal

Review 75:The location was great. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Review 76:heating

Review 77:location

Review 78:Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff.

Review 79:Noisy water in the heating unit- choice for heating or sleeping but not both.

Review 80:the bathroom was poor, no elevator available, too many stairs

Review 81:extra pillow available in the room, nice area

Review 82:Very difficult to find since the free parking spaces are in the middle of a shopping street.

Review 83:Staff Good breakfast

Review 84:The eggs were powdered eggs, and tasted like powdered eggs.

Review 85:The interior is like a museum is is old style but very elegant.

Review 86:Breakfast offering was limited; bedrooms at the back were noisy due to on goings in the courtyard.

Review 87:The central location

Review 88:Shower a bit small

Review 89:Restaurant Location Presentation of the room

Review 90:Noise from the street all night long

Review 91:not much fruit for breakfast

Review 92:good facility

Review 93:The breakfast was very chaotic. Only one waiter running around. No tea water as he kept coming in with only one thermo to a room of about 60 people. It felt like the hotel never had many breakfast guest at the same time. Total chaos. We gave up and had something on the way to the station.

Review 94:Beautiful building. Nice modern rooms in the back. Friendly staff.

Review 95:no view from the room windows.

Review 96:goods location at the center of the town. good breakfast. good staff. good parking. very good restrurant in the hotel.

Review 97:Not handicap friendly - too mand steps. Lack of private parking spaces.

Review 98:Friendliness of staff, variety at the breakfast buffet, cosy room, nice bathroom.

Review 99:Nothing. Maybe rooms are a bit small but that's not important if you are out for the whole day.

Review 100:Located in the heart of town in a historic building with lots of shops and restaurants in direct surroundings. Parking is well organized if you arrive after 6.30 pm and leave before 9.30 am. Can be noisy though if your room is on the front side of the hotel in the weekend because of youngsters drinking on the terrace outside.

Review 101:Having stayed here in the past, My last visit was disappointing: much smaller room, and breakfast not nearly as good as it used to be. Coffee pots all empty; dried up bacon at 8 am; very difficult to get a white coffee as warm milk seemed to cause a problem....very little staff about,I ended up wandering into the kitchen to look for a plate as there were none left! . Not so good for a 4- star!

Review 102:Well situated in the main pedestrian street

Review 103:The room was very very small and the view was just terrible - the roofs all around! There was hardly any place to move around - the bed was filling almost all the space there. The price is far too high for such a hotel and I cannot figure out who gave them 4 stars...2 is the absolute maximum they deserve! I would never recommend this hotel to my colleagues.

Review 104:During my stay the hotel was full of couples quite loud, annoying noise of doors at night. The first day was called to clean the room at four in the afternoon. The room quite small.

Review 105:The best thing is that the hotel is in the city center, in a pedestrian shopping street. Is the most economical. The breakfast buffet is great.

Review 106:Due to situation at walking street, a liitle bit hard to find with car. But safe carpark behind the hotel.

Review 107:Great athmosphire, clean but a bit tiny room, excellent breakfast, nice cellarbar downstairs.

Review 108:The hotel is located in the pedestrian zone & getting to it with my car was challenging. Having said that - the hotel has arranged with the local authorities to allow guests to park in the pedestrian area over night without problem & it was free from any traffic noise - so some people would see that as a benefit.

Review 109:The staff were helpful, professional & very friendly. The building has a great deal of history & character, the room that I had was comfortable with all the necessary items. The location was quiet while being central in the town. The breakfast buffet was better than I anticipated (in my experience most Danish hotels offer a cold breakfast with boiled eggs but Jorgensens had a hot buffet, too).

Review 110:Really horrible room - not clean, smelly, ugly view from the window, very very small bed for the two persons (in the double room), old damaged windows, very very bad bathroom with the WC! Parking place quite faraway from the hotel. Simply hard to understand how its possible that this hotel can have 4 stars. Really I don't recommend this hotel.

Review 111:On arrival the directions to the hotel were not clearly marked andimpossible to get to through bollards inside it was old smelly and notgood value a premier class had more appeal

Review 112:Our gps could not access the hotel due to road works. We spent nearly anhour circling and asking people before we finally found the hotel. Therewas no warning on the web with advice on how to get there. We eventuallyfound a tiny tunnel that we just managed to squeeze through as the hotelis on a pedestrian area and vehicle access had been cut off by bollardsand the road works. The hotel is tired and rambling, and though there isa lift, we had to carry our bags to the first floor as the lift cannotbe accessed from the ground floor. We booked a superior double but thebed was no more than a 3/4 size so we moved to a standard which had verycomfortable twin beds. The bathroom was fairly big, but nowhere to putmy things. I hate having to put my toiletries on the toilet, but thereis nowhere else. Shower, with its flimsy curtain, makes a huge messwhich leaves the floor dangerously slippery. Breakfast was ok butchaotic with noisy children everywhere. The breakfast room has twodistinct areas, so they should separate the families with noisy childrenand food all over the floor, from those without children. We feltcompletely invaded and overwhelmed.

Review 113:The receptionist was great - very friendly and efficient. We did notlike the room we had booked and she immediately sorted us out with asuitable room. The twin beds were very comfortable. English countrystyle decorating suits the style of the building, but it is looking alittle tired. The standard rooms are much plainer, but perfectlysufficient.

Review 114:Small rooms.

Review 115:We were allowed to check in very early after driving all night long, and then we changed room because bed was too small. Everything is possible very nice staff and service! Compliments!

Review 116:Rooms are quite small and there is no elevator, but it's ok as hotel islocated in very old building in the center of Horsens, furnished in old-fashioned style, still classy.

Review 117:Lack of daytime parking facilities at the hotel.

Review 118:Rooms needed some updating

Review 119:Location in centre of town

Review 120:Overall prices of hotels in Denmark

Review 121:Hotel was OK

Review 122:Breakfast poor for the price payed. Bath room small and not convinient.

Review 123:Location, middle of town.

Review 124:Very small Room...would not like the cheapest one then

Review 125:breakfast
