Reviews for Hostal El Olivar
Review 1:We only had one night would have liked to stay longer
Review 2:What an absolute cracking hotel location spot on ,hotel spot on ,roof terrace spot on ,honesty bar spot on,breakfast spot on, lovely owners greeted with a warm welcome, gem of a hotel will be back in the summer if not already full.
Review 3:This was a real gem of a place, situated right in the middle of one of the pueblo's most beautiful squares, and with amenities all around. The room was well equipped, well serviced, and clean. The hotel is stylish and yet remains characterful. The owner is a charming guy who is extremely helpful in every way. Breakfasts are simple but delicious and served either on the wonderful terrace or in the adjoining airy lounge. There is the chance to pay for parking in a very nearby underground car park and I would strongly recommend drivers to do this. We loved it in this hotel.... Bravo to Julien and Sarah.
Review 4:The shower took a long time to warm up in the morning and I felt distressed at the consequent waste of precious water. A very minor inconvenience though.
Review 5:Charming and helpful host. Great location. Spotlessly clean. Lovely decor. Comfortable and quiet.
Review 6:The Hostal El Oliver is a very modern B&B in an old building - perfect combination. The decor is fresh and although we only stayed one night we couldn't have been made more welcome.
Review 7:Right at the top of the Pueblo. Wonderful views both from the room and the roof terrace. Easy to get to the Playa with the local bus - pay on board. Cheap minibar!
Review 8:The owners were so helpful and friendly they even baked my mum a cake as it was her birthday. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the location is superb , would definitely return.
Review 9:Location of hostal in quiet square with fabulous views of the country side. Excellent breakfast. Facility of hostal carpark is excellent if you are unable or don't want to walk long distances. Hostal owner Julien was extremely helpful. Adjacent to restaurants.
Review 10:A beautiful boutique B&B in a beautiful village. Superb views of the mountains and valley beyond. Very friendly owner Julian, nothing he wouldn't do to make the stay as enjoyable as possible
Review 11:My only criticism is that the tables on which breakfast is served are very small bistro style. Getting all the breakfast food and drinks to fit on is difficult. The breakfast menu is limited and would have paid a more for a little more choice.
Review 12:Everything about El Oliver is first class. The location, the views and the rooms. Sarah and Julian are perfect hosts and deserve their well earned reputation. The sun terrace at the top of the hotel is stunning with views to die for. Mojacar Pueblo is a hidden gem away from the coast.
Review 13:none.
Review 14:They have improved their facilities from last year ,we now get wi fi in the bedroom . They have also added a solarium . This is considered a hostel but I would call it a bed and breakfast. Julian is lovely and helpful .The breakfast was delicious ,fresh croissant and toasted bread with tomato's and cheese . This is our second stay and I would not hesitate in coming back or recommending it to anyone !
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:Located in top of the old town beautiful setting. Sarah and Julien are wonderfull hosts who are happy to help in any way they can. Fantastic hotel couldn't recommend this highly enough.
Review 17:Nothing at all.
Review 18:'Hostal' recently renovated and designed and brilliantly done. Everything thought of for clients comfort. Hospitality first class. Highly recommended.
Review 19:We could hear people in the next room really well as we had an adjoining door (which was locked). The drains in the bathroom were a bit smelly. While the kettle was great for making tea and coffee, a few times our cups were taken away and not replaced which meant we could not take advantage of this facility. Our towels were not changed every three days as promised.
Review 20:Delicious breakfast, served on the terrace which offers a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains and hills; lovely view from our balcony; nice décor in our room; hotel is situated near the lift; good value mini bar in our fridge.
Review 21:Wifi not very good like to watch films at night the tv all Spanish .butthis is not too important
Review 22:It was very clean and comfortable .Very friendly .
Review 23:The Friendliness of the staff on our arrival and throughout our stay. A wonderful couple with great vision. In a perfect location in Old Mojacar. Thank You!
Review 24:The couple who run this place are really great and very helpful. For the price charged, this place would be very hard to beat. The place is tastefully decorated, location is perfect, breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the welcome was second to none.
Review 25:Our time in Mojacar and at the Hostal El Olivar was the highlight of our trip. Sarah and Julian were lovely - they gave us great suggestions on beaches to visit, made fabulous breakfasts each morning, and were very accommodating. Our room was clean and airy and overlooked the town square. We particularly enjoyed the patios with the stunning view over the countryside. Would absolutely recommend Hostal El Olivar to anyone traveling through southeastern Spain.
Review 26:Bright sun at 6:45 am woke us, small criticism but the window needs blinds or blackout curtains.
Review 27:The place is absolutely lovely, great decor staff and views. Mohammad is a great little pueblos and the nearby beach bars are a treat.
Review 28:Nothing to dislike. Everything was excellent.
Review 29:The owners Sarah and Julian made us feel so welcome. The decor throughout is fresh and modern. The breakfast each morning was lovely served on the terrace with outstanding views of the mountains.
Review 30:only comment the deck chairs on the balcony did not work for us , the other chairs and small table would have made it more usable.
Review 31:The hostels location, its ,style, its views its breakfast the owners, in fact the whole experience was first class, better than many local 4 star hotels
Review 32:The hotel was spotlessly clean, in immaculate condition, and in a very central location. The couple who run it are very caring and accommodating, and I have already booked to return in May. Highly recommended!
Review 33:Air conditionig facilities: too much noisy, at least in Heat mode.
Review 34:The staff, a french young couple, who truly care about their work. Location, in the center but accessible with the parking elevator. Great and free breakfast Cozy terrace and views
Review 35:Slight drawback in that parking is in public car park (free) away from hotel but a public lift saves ones legs and takes you up very close to the hotel
Review 36:Spacious bedroom, clean roomy shower room, beautiful views, hospitality tray, free wifi, tasty breakfast in dining room with stunning views, helpful friendly staff. And all for 45 euros. What's not to like
Review 37:could have done with extra pillows, but didn't bother to ask for them. I expect if I had they would have been provided.
Review 38:Very clean comfortable accommodation. Situated in the centre of Mojacar Pueblo. The owners are very friendly and speak excellent English. The breakfast was very filling with a good choice, but don't expect a " full English" Good value for money.
Review 39:It took a while to get warm water.
Review 40:Friendly receptionist did his utmost to arrange a better wifi connection. He put the router on a different spot closer to our room. Beautiful view from nice balcony and roof terrace.

Review 44:Great location within plaza of main village and very close to many cafés, restaurants and bars. Hotel was modern inside with a great atmosphere. Hotel owners were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was lovely. We had the suite with a great balconiy and the wifi reception was excellent. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Review 45:Struggled to find it on the first day, but to be fair it was at night and my sense of direction is terrible! Also parking is down at the foot of the town, but you can drive up to the hotel for arrival/departure. Very minor points really, more things to be aware of.
Review 46:OWNERS - Sarah & Julien very friendly couple, always happy to help, advise and make recommendations. LOCATION - In the heart of the pueblo a stone's throw from everything yet in a quieter but pretty square. CLEANLINESS - Very clean, flexible about cleaning times. VIEWS - Amazing from my balcony suite and from the breakfast terrace. ATMOSPHERE - Made to feel very welcome. Altogether a really nice hotel - couldn't have asked for more and owners couldn't have been nicer - shows that they love running the place and enjoy having guests. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
Review 47:It is a perfect place with the best owners you can ever imagine - incredible heartily and helpful. The rooms are fantastic - everything is new and with lots of adequate details. Moreover you will never forget the view from the terrace, having a delicious breakfast. Thank you for everything, Sarah and Julien!

Review 49:Sarah & her husband (the hosts) were wonderfully warm and welcoming. Happy to assist in any thing we required. the hotel and our room was very very clean, couldn't fault anything. we will certainly be booking again for our next visit to mojacar. And the location being in the middle of Mojacar village was a wonderful change from the ususl beach side large hotels. The small and friendly 'touch' exceeded all our expectations. Thank you Sarah and your hubby! The McGarrys

Review 109:The friendly young couple who run the hostal made us feel very welcome. The rooms are bright and airey with tea and coffee making facilities. Our room overlooked the newly renovated quiet market square. The views from the terrace overlooking the valley and mountains are superb. We would definitely stay here if we should visit Mojacar again.
Review 110:There was free and easy parking in Mojacar when we visited in June 2014, but we didn't find it at first! There is a lift from the car park area to the upper parts of Mojacar, but it takes some finding!
Review 111:Friendly owners who spoke English and a warm welcome. A comfortable room with en suite facilities and breakfast from 09:00. A central location close to restaurants and an easy to walk around to view Mojacar.
