Reviews for Hotel Los Olivos
Review 1:Nothing!!! It was great location and wonderful prices in the off season. Great breakfast and felt fortunate to be in such a prime location.
Review 2:The front desk staff were so helpful-lining up a Flamenco show, having a taxi available to take us to the airport, and giving us directions and assistance.
Review 3:Room was noisy with street noise. Not a restful sleep as a reault. Not a room with a view- faced the alley.
Review 4:Good location but hard to find initially. The signs as you enter are poorly positioned and not enough help. We circled around three times before we luckily found the hotel.
Review 5:Our room had a very dark entry -- there could be more lighting so we wouldn't have to leave the bathroom light on to see.
Review 6:This is a small but very charming hotel. The inner courtyard is beautiful and an added bonus. We would stay here again.
Review 7:Hotel with Andalusian style. Efficient staff. Good size room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast, too much to eat actually. Walking distance to the sights (up hill). Very clean and comfortable. Parking close by, also parking in the street and secure parking in the hotel.
Review 8:Fantastic and beautiful building and decor. Breakfast was very nice and well appointed. Location was easy and safe walk into old town and staff was friendly and informative. Parking was additional but a plus with lots of space right next door.
Review 9:One of the two rooms we had was a little small, but was perfectly adequate
Review 10:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The location was really good.
Review 11:Breakfast was a bit basic, no hot food. Coffee was excellent and good pastries
Review 12:Good location close to old town. Room was comfortable and quiet even though it overlooked the road.
Review 13:Nothing . Would highly recommend.
Review 14:Excellent hotel within easy walking distance of the old town of Arcos de la Frontera. If you can find a spot parking is available on the street outside and is free from 2pm - 5pm and 8pm-9am.Everything exactly as described. Breakfast (with plenty of choice) was served in one of the courtyard areas making it a pleasant start to the day. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 15:nothing.
Review 16:Nice service. Wonderful breakfast. Just outside of center town - so easier to drive there. Safe parking for a fee. Comfortable. cheap. Town is hilly but an easy walk
Review 17:The room was very clean and comfortable with great views, large shower, and good wifi. Staff are knowledgable and helpful. The buffet breakfast has a good selection of foods and the coffee is wonderful. You can have your breakfast in a cute court yard surrounded by plants.
Review 18:The mattress was a bit lumpy and thin.
Review 19:We were leaving to go to Granada to see the Alhambra. We had no idea that tickets had to be purchased well in advance. Without the very helpful desk clerk, we would never have gotten in to see it. She called our Granada hotel and found someone who could get us onto a tour that included a ticket, but allowed us to linger as long as we liked and simply take a taxi back! She saved our trip! The breakfast was fabulous. In fact in our two weeks in Spain, it was the best with a wide variety of choices.
Review 20:Front desk manager was rude and unaccomodating. Our wireless was not working and she seemed to not care - kept brushing us off and letting us know that it was working for everyone else so it must be our fault. Only time during our entire 25 day vacation in Spain that I came unglued given her poor attitude and service.
Review 21:breakfast was very nice - good variety and helpful staff.
Review 22:Traffic moving across cobbles was a little noisey, but easily shut out if you close the door.
Review 23:The hotel has an interesting central courtyard with rooms feeding off it at two levels. My room faced out the front with a balcony that provided amazing view across the valley. Staff were very helpful, and useful for me most spoke English. The breakfast very good. Overall very good value.
Review 24:A few rooms overlook a busy road - but the double glazing was good. Noisy extractor fan in bathroom - really needed some attention.
Review 25:Staff very helpful. Car park a real plus. Good location on edge of old town. Nice patio for breakfast. Good size room and bathroom. V good value indeed.
Review 26:Loved everything
Review 27:The room was very spacious and had its own router so wifi reception was the best. The breakfast buffet was all inclusive and parking was close and secure.
Review 28:Wi-fi not great. We increasingly depend on good internet access for so many things, feel sure this could be solved with just a modest effort
Review 29:Really good willing staff; access to old town; fabulous breakfast
Review 30:Parking could be a problem at busy times, but the hotel's car park at 8 euros a night was always available. Cheap meter parking from 9am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm was usually available. Make sure you know your way round the rather complicated one way system operating in Arcos
Review 31:We had a comfortable room with a view out to the street and the surrounding hills. Los Olivos is a very friendly well established hotel with elegant architecture and a pleasant patio area within. Breakfasts were good with quite a wide choice of food and drink. A 5 minute walk enabled us to get to the heart of the old town.
Review 32:The parking was reasonable and an absolute necessity in Arcos. The fact that a 5 minute stroll takes you into the centre. The advice given by the receptionist for drives in the area and good restaurants was extremely helpful.
Review 33:No negatives
Review 34:Stayed with family of 5 including a baby late Dec. Was able to stay in one room with four beds and a cot. Ample parking available (8 euro for the night). Good breakfast and a good location. Check-in and out easy and a nice courtyard to sit in. All expectations met.
Review 35:It would have been nice to be in the heart of the old town. However, parking is a major issue there and some intense research would be necessary to solve that issue without a huge amount of money
Review 36:Facility was very good - good breakfast as well and the staff was most helpful. Lucked into cheap parking on the street. Location only issue.
Review 37:Bed real small
Review 38:Small hotel, friendly people.walked to everything in old and new parts of town. Only complaint was bed...real small "double". Our same complaint in all 3 2 star hotels we stayed in. All 3 had the same size bed. If we stay in 2 star hotel again it will only be with twin beds.
Review 39:Nothing - everything was excellent
Review 40:Everything - friendly & welcoming staff, location, ambience, breakfast & excellent WiFi & best of all hotel parking!
Review 41:Nothing!
Review 42:Lovely large room with view over the escarpment, double windows so noise not an issue even during the fiesta, very high standard of housekeeping, good firm bed, excellent breakfast, easy to access by car, on site parking. Highly recommended!
Review 43:The breakfast area is located half indoors and half out in a typical Spanish style. Unfortunately the mornings were cool which put space inside at a premium. There is a lovely reading room behind Reception which looked a little unloved. More could have been made of it including details of drinks and food that were on sale to guests.
Review 44:The staff, especially the Patron were very helpful and full of good advice about parking, restaurants, travel routes, etc.
Review 45:Nothing
Review 46:Friendly, helpful staff Gorgeous courtyard Comfortable rooms Great breakfast, included Wonderful location Lovely wine and complimentary snacks
Review 47:The rows of armchairs along the corridor windows reminded me of a nursing home!
Review 48:Position on the edge of town and with its own secure parking (€8 per day). Good choice at breakfast.

Review 52:Very little but it is a stiff climb to the top.
Review 53:Lovely people in a location that has views. Fantastic internal patio terrace with plants and atrium. Excellent breakfast with fresh pineapple/melon. Staff could not be more helpful
Review 54:Overwhelming smell of room floral room spray which we had to air out!
Review 55:This was a wonderful hotel! Everything was excellent. The staff fed the parking meter for us when we were gone for more than two hours and were honest about the meter being cheaper than there parking. It was right outside the hotel. Breakfast was fine, good coffee! Lots of little places to sit and relax both inside and outside.
Review 56:Nothing to dislike.
Review 57:The staff were all friendly and very helpful. An excellent breakfast was provided. Good location, in the heart of things but still quiet and peaceful.
Review 58:We loved our stay of two nights here.We used it as a base to drive up the mountains to tour the white villages of Andalucia.Highly recommended for the scenery and culture. The hotel staff gave us all the advice and directions we needed. We also visited the town of Arcos and loved all the narrow streets and fantastic tapas bars and restaurants. The hotel is in the centre if town and is very stylish and comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic too.

Review 118:Nothing - the hotel is perfect…
Review 119:This hotel is the realisation of my personal dream of what the ideal Spanish hotel should be. Friendly staff, a beautiful building, comfortable rooms, flower-bedecked courtyard and sun terraces, perched on the edge of the cliff top that bears one of the most beautiful "white villages" in Andalucia.
Review 120:It is not so close to the best sights in town as some other good hotels, but the other hotels do not have parking. It is within walking distance from the sights if you are normally fit..
Review 121:Good and friendly staff. Rooms are good. Excellent breakfast. Parking on the site in a village where most hotels don´t have parking. The hotel has a nice inner court yard.
