Reviews for Hotel Dreiländerbrücke
Review 1:The windows are not very efficient to isolate noise from outside. The bed is too hard. This could be fixed with a good bed topper to make it more comfortable.
Review 2:Very good located. Within few minutes you can connect to highway or just step out and catch a public transportation. Room is spacious and well equipped. Good breakfast.
Review 3:Hotel parking space is shared with the shopping mall. We were lucky to find space near the hotel entrance but could be far depends on date and time of arrival.
Review 4:Room was super spacious and very clean. Hotel is located on top of shopping mall so that it was easy to do shopping.
Review 5:My reservation included a roll away bed but it wasn't there. When I asked about it they didn't seem to know what I was talking about but I was still charged for it. Luckily it wasn't much
Review 6:Was very clean and staff was friendly
Review 7:No kettle in room. No omelette choice for breakfast. But I am being picky now.
Review 8:Room was excellent. Modern, spacious, spotlessly clean. Huge walk in modern shower. Hotel nothing like it appeared on the outside - a real suprise - I've stayed in all the hotels in this area over the last 10 weeks and this, without doubt, is heads and shoulders above the rest. Free use of the excellent gym was the icing on the cake! With a great breakfast / and €65 a night - fantastic value.
Review 9:located inside the Rhein Centre with shopping malls, restaurant and supermarket and everything you need. nice Turkish restaurant across the street and close to the Swiss border where we were driven across on our way to Grindelwald.
Review 10:staff a bit 'sluggish', breakfast not adequate for a 4 star hotel, especially the coffee which was served !!!
Review 11:Nice rooms, free gym, fast internet, free parking
Review 12:The level of traffic and lack of explanation about the parking from the staff, who were not very forthcoming made a bad first impression.
Review 13:The location and room were excellent. The breakfast was very good.
Review 14:The hotel is very new and still a big construction site.
Review 15:Very clean and spacious hotel room. Ideal for visiting Basel - The tram line 8 to Basel city has a stop almost right in front of the door.
Review 16:TV channels in German thanks to hotel smart TV we watched movies online
Review 17:Newly renovated, breakfast worth 5euros right under shopping mall close to Basel sbb frequent trams right at the coner, next to bridge bordering France, staff can speak English.Asian restaurant, small kids park, nice family run kebab shop just opposite hotel.
Review 18:Hotel is located in a shopping center. Very complicated to get luggage from the car to the room. Reception was difficult to find. Construction work was going on, separating reception and breakfast area from the rooms. Loose cables hanging from ceiling in hallway and room. Smoke detectors not yet installed.
Review 19:Large room
Review 20:The lift was very slow, probably due to workmen using it while doing the refurbishing of the hotel.
Review 21:Great room and bathroom even though bathroom wasn't completely finished. Shops close by. Short walk over bridge to France. Very close to no 8 tram into Basel.
Review 22:The room we got was not finished. There was no frige, no minibar,no drinking water no towels in the shower no floor mat for the shower. The cupboard was not finished and looks like a 2 star hotel equipment. We would never recomend this hotel to our friends.
Review 23:The hotel is under rehabilitation, and so it looks. I made my reservation 6 month ago.If some one had told me about the possition of the hotel, I would have canceled my reservation. I paid for a 4 star hotel and got just a room. There is no lobby and the elevator to the six floor (where the registration is located) is very busy.
Review 24:I went a breakfast with my 3 year kid and we were late 15 minutes. Lady in there told me its finished but we can have breakfast, I said its ok we can has breakfast outside. She said its ok we can have. After that while we were eating, one lady came and with very bad face mymics she looked and her watch and told something with rudely, my baby was scared because of her and I talked to her and says your colleague told us that we can eat and why she is behaving like that and she continued her behaviour badly and my baby scared and said she wants to leave with crying. After that I went reception and complained about them and tjey said sorry and will not charge money for breakfast and I said its not about money. At the end when we were check out there was another lady in the reception not friendly even and charge our breakfast. If you have kids and plan to stay this hotel and I dont advise as I am travelling alot. Its the first time I saw bad behaviour/face a family with kids. Give your money another hotel.
Review 25:Nothing, because of hotel personel bas behaviour, we cant see any good things in the hotel.
Review 26:It was on top of a mail. No signage at all where to park or check in. It had two elevators, but only one was working. Again no signage.
Review 27:We liked the room. Brand new remodeled it looked like
Review 28:bad access, reception very hard to find due to reconstruction. There is NO information about the reconstruction, that is not ok. It does not affect the rooms, they are nice but the entrance should have bigger signs and especially have one from the street. It does not correspond to the address on the internet.
Review 29:the newly reconstructed, modern, clean and spacious rooms
Review 30:The hotel was being renovated, and clearly not in a state to give rooms to customers. No carpets on the hallway floors, impossible to find reception, TV not working(assistance given from reception but unable to get to work) and honestly amazing that customers were not informed of this prior to their stay
Review 31:Although reception is open 24h and although I called the hotel announcing our late arrival, by the time of arrival 80% of the due amount had already been deducted from my credit card on demand by the manager, as if a no show had taken place; Due to ongoing reconstruction, breakfast and reception do not look like a 4 star hotel.
Review 32:Large rooms, cleanliness, location
Review 33:The location is horrible: an ugly building with a terrible shopping mall and very noisy people hanging around constantly. Luckily enough you don't hear them once the windows are closed;
Review 34:The rooms were brand new, with a fantastic bed and a very nice bathroom.
Review 35:No aircon but couldn't be helped & fan did a good job.
Review 36:Although on a state of being renovated, this hotel had most of all SPACE, interesting location with the bridge, easy access to town in the tram, huge shopping centre and most importantly, helpful staff
Review 37:After travelling Germany this was our last stop on our way home, as afamily of 6 with young children. The two triple rooms that we were givenwere in separate buildingsHere is a list of why you should no stay in this hotel: 1. Hotel is under complete renovation and is more of a construction site than a hotel. 2. Lift to reception is a service lift with plywood walls and feels extremely unsafe. 3. One of the two rooms we were given was of a much lesser standard than the other. 4. After dining out that evening, an enormous amount of flies were in the room swarming around the lights. When this complaint was made to reception i was told it was my fault for leaving the window open. I felt because the hotel does not offer air conditioning and it was 30 degrees, there was no other option than to open the window to let air in the room. 5. We eventually moved rooms (this was past 12 pm and my 6 year old daughter was upset by the whole experience) The next morning when i complained to the manageress, she explained that she would take off the charge for breakfast @ 5euro each for our inconvenience ( what an insult) 6. This is not a 4 star hotel. I would rank it a 2 star. Do not be fooled by the pictures. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody
Review 38:Nothing at all
Review 39:A few receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. The signature rooftop breakfast room was under the renovation and sauna was out of order. These were the two things that attracted me to the otherwise unremarkable hotel and so, I was very disappointed. The kitchen in the room didn't have any utensils or plates so it was useless. The area was cheap but sketchy and I felt unsafe at night. I don't recommend this hotel if you are a woman traveling alone.
Review 40:Breakfast. Shopping mall down stairs.
Review 41:Hotel under construction. Difficult to get to reception n rooms
Review 42:Lovely location overlooking the Rhein. Excellent spacious room and bathroom. Great value
Review 43:The hotel is under renovation. The lifts in the building did not work. To reach the reception was a cumbersome operation. You have to fetch a lift on one side of the building and ride it to the third floor. Then cross the building to the opposite wing and fetch a lift to the sixth floor but this lift was out of order. We arrived to Basel on a very hot day (35°C) and the hotel was not capable to provide adequate ventilation in our rooms. After an hour they provided us two weak ventilators to improve the conditions in the rooms. Actually the hotel consists of two hotels one rated as a four star hotel (Hotel Dreiländerbrücke) and one rated as a three stars hotel (Hotel Maximilian). You can not know in which hotel are you placed as both names are displayed on the passage doors. The receptionist told us that the renovations will be completed by October 2015 and then, maybe the hotel will deserve a four star ranking but not now.
Review 44:The location of the hotel, close to the airport and shopping mall.
Review 45:Firstly a terrible place to find took an hour to park because the car park is a multi-storey for a supermarket complex so when we were finally given a place to park (for a fee)shoppers were pushing shopping trolleys between the cars bad news that .the lift service was poor especially when you have 50 kms of luggage, worst hotel on our two week trip in Europe never again we would never advise anyone to use this hotel
Review 46:The best was the room every thing else very poor.
Review 47:Building works going on in hotel caused some access difficulties. Room spacious but could benefit from modernisation
Review 48:Very helpful staff. Very good location
Review 49:thought this was a nicer hotel, markings on the outside were lacking due to renovations on the way to find the reception was all wery unappeling. no minibar or cooler in the room , extremely dissapointing due to the heat. Air conditioning not working, extremely hot in the room.
Review 50:nice location in a beutiful city, cool mall and area
Review 51:The parking was terrible since the hotel was located in a very busy mall area. Also, could not eat breakfast outside as advertised because that's where the smokers sat.
Review 52:The room was large with a nice big bathroom. Wonderful breakfast.
Review 53:Room unfinished, shabby location above a shopping centre, public areas need updating. Apart from drinks from the bar no room service or food only breakfast.
Review 54:Room has potential to be comfortable but the rest of the hotel is definantly not four star. 3 star at best.
Review 55:Finding the hotel was a little difficult. If had realised should park in the big shopping centre car park would have made the arrival easier
Review 56:Staff very helpful
Review 57:doesnt have air conditioning - but we lucked out with the weather which wasn't too hot so we were comfortable with the windows open.
Review 58:lived the location, a little difficult to find above big shopping mall, but once we found it we were good to go!
Review 59:Nothing.
Review 60:The "small" room was large and comfortable. Simple but very adequate furnishings. Shopping mall beneath the hotel. Trolley direct to downtown basel right outside door. Playground and park across street. Half block from Rhein and from walking bridge to France. Near ports so very interesting but also nice
Review 61:The information we got from Booking.com was False. It was said the "100 booking for the hotel today". This, in no way, can not be true. the hotel is a rundown place. No place for holiday. Do not go there.
Review 62:it's located on top of a ugly shopping mall with a difficult secondary entrance. No drop off parking for car. Sauna not working for months (sauna was the reason for our reservation). Sad eighties interiors. Smelly carpet. An ash tray and a chair on the way to the Escape door. Wifi internet goes off in few minutes. Dark room. I don't know how they got 4 stars!
Review 63:friendly staff and good breakfast. Good sleep quality (silent).
Review 64:located above a shopping centre with difficulty in access and no dining facitilities. Sports facilities are not connected to the hotel but in the shopping centre complex.
Review 65:nothing
Review 66:Massive room with all you could need, flat screen tv, wifi, Mini bar with 1st drink free was nice touch. Located above shopping centre so plenty of free parking.
Review 67:I stayed only for one night, and can't remember anything worth noticing.
Review 68:It's less than a 10 minute walk away from the German-Swiss border. At 5 EUR, the breakfast buffet is quite a bargain (given my experience). There's no shortage of parking space.
Review 69:unhelpful with getting a taxi and left me to walk out onto street with bags on a three day holiday weekend that had everything closed including the restaurants they assured me were open. I walked over the road bridge into Switzerland taking an hour for what they said was a twenty minute easy walk. Just needed to have known that money change and shops would be closed end of my stay, being Nov 11 bank holiday. :/
Review 70:Shops and riverside walk across to France. riverside restaurant.
Review 71:A little weird to find (it's on an upper floor of a shopping mall with a very nondescript entrance). Only one-nearby non-mall restaurant (Chinese - very good) and lots of retail focus. Nice efficiency kitchen without a single dish or utensil in it!
Review 72:Marvelous breakfast included. Really helpful staff. Nice location at the Rhine and near the foot bridge to France. Once we were up on the floor where the hotel is actually housed, it was charming and comfortable.
Review 73:The hotel is located on top of a shopping center, which has it's pros and cons.
Review 74:The hotel has a unique location which I found appealing. Because it's located on the top floors of the building, you have an excellent view from your room on the surrounding area. The staff was friendly and made every effort to make our stay comfortable.
Review 75:One staff person was not very helpful and seemed annoyed when I asked her things in English--just an annoyance, not really a criticism.
Review 76:I loved Weil am Rhein. It is not a touristy place. You need to practice your German and French and I like that. The people that you meet and converse are wonderful, regular people. I liked having breakfast in Germany , lunch in Switzerland and dinner in France. The hotel is next to a shopping mall that has everything you could possibly want. I loved it and I would definitely come back.
Review 77:Nothing to dislike.
Review 78:Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable. An ideal location for visiting Basel. The breakfast for five euro was value for money.
Review 79:Apart from fast food type places in Rhein Center there were limited restaurants nearby.
Review 80:Value for Money. Spacious triple room for 3 adults. Quiet for good nights sleep. Kitchen area and fridge. Within walking distance across border to tram (10 mins). Footbridge to France also
Review 81:The four-star must just refer to the size of the room, everything else is just ordinary. The booked "double bed" was just two single beds pushed together. The "free parking" is in the shopping complex below the building.
Review 82:Nothing
Review 83:Great location with shops below, and bars and restaurants near by. This hotel has a nice bar area on the roof with view over the Rhien The beds were comfortable and the room was clean with satilite TV
Review 84:Plenty of parking in shopping centre but a little bit of a hassle to carry luggage to the hotel reception.
Review 85:Hotel is located above a shopping centre which made it easy to buy food. 10 minute walk to Tram going into basel. Room was quite large (but a bit dated).
Review 86:There was no cutlery or plates, glasses, cups, pans etc in the kitchen. Room needs proper airco.
Review 87:Friendly and professional staff, clean, large family room. Excellent breakfast on the roof terrace.
Review 88:Parking is not easy as you have to find in the normal car park place, there is no special hotel car park. The room decoration is quite old.
Review 89:hotel has a shopping mall underneath, which is quite convenient.
Review 90:Difficult to find. On 6th and 7th floor of shopping center and office building. Not near any Basel sights.
Review 91:Breakfast for 5 Euros was great. Very large room.
Review 92:No plates or cutlery in kitchen, though who needs to cook anyways. Minor issue because there are lots of places to eat downstairs. A bit of a problem getting to this place, on foot you have to walk across the border over the bridge, it's 15 mins, with lots of luggage, you are better of taking a cab which can pull up right at the front. With trams or buses it's just so complicated.
Review 93:Excellent location, large spacious rooms overlooking the Rhein and beautiful Baden wurtemberg landscape. Just on top of great shopping centre. (Not designer clothing) martkhauf is also great for all kinds of groceries and household stuff and very cheap.
Review 94:On the weekend traffic is busy due to the shopping center.
Review 95:The staff were nice, the breakfast was great and it was a great base location for day trips.
Review 96:Absolutely a beautiful property with excellent staff. The hotel room was excellent and had a great bathroom shower area.
Review 97:Gymn and Sauna was closed.
Review 98:None
Review 99:Good location, tram station is closeby, parking, clean and room-size is decent. Cordial staff.
Review 100:matress was not comfortable
Review 101:room was renovated and huge. very big tv. good soundproof rooms. good wifi. very good breakfast
Review 102:it should be clear to note whether the breakfast included or not when someone books the hotel
Review 103:Very big Rhein center, has everything you need.
Review 104:Good location and comfortable room
Review 105:I paid for a 4 stars room but the first night I received a 3 stars room and any discount at the end
Review 106:Courtesy in the Breakfast Room
Review 107:Every thing ,, very nice furnished big rooms . Very nice helpful staff. I liked it and i ll choose it next time.
Review 108:The new comfort rooms are wonderfull.
Review 109:The hotel is under contraction and they didn't told us. They gave us wrong room and there is no parking as they promised
Review 110:The location was great.
Review 111:No evening food
Review 112:The breakfast was fabulous!!!!
Review 113:the hotel is under construction yet - until they finish, not recommended
Review 114:location very nice , a shopping center very close , and have a parking
Review 115:the building is still under construction
Review 116:The hotel is close to the Basel airport.
Review 117:All, wifi, parking
Review 118:Reception is on sixth floor. Water was cold in the shower
Review 119:Brand new, clean and modern.
Review 120:staff (female) at the reception very unfriendly - did not feel welcome. The same at breakfast
Review 121:the new rooms are very nice.
Review 122:Great location, good breakfast, top service
Review 123:No airconditioning and it was very warm inside. The warderobes in the kitchen were empty.
Review 124:Good breakfast. Great placing. Good shopping center.
Review 125:Wi-Fi too slow to be called Wi-Fi...
Review 126:On the cheaper side of Basel. Ability to park in the next door mall parking.
Review 127:No airconditioning, room and overall hotel very hot!!
Review 128:Room was ok, enough space and clean. Staff very friendly.
Review 129:.there is alot of incects in the room
Review 130:The room is very large and comfortable.
Review 131:The reception is in the 6th floor and they haven't aircondition
Review 132:The location and the rooms are big
Review 133:construction on premises
Review 134:very close to the cruise port
