Review 1：I had some things to do at the University in Basel. With the tram in front of the hotel, the location was just perfect. I did like the personal style of this beautiful little hotel. I wish we would have more places like this in the US. The food was fantastic and also the selection of wines. I have hardly seen such a beautiful old cave with such a selection of international wines, Found even a wine of my year of birth. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will certainly come back in the near future. New Years Eve I have met so many wonderful people in this hotel - just great.
Review 2：The place is close to the border with Switzerland and France and there is an ample parking lot. The restaurant is good and you can have food until 10 PM. The wifi connection worked very well.
Review 3：Location was excellent for transport links, 2 minute walk to train and tram stops. Local shops and restaurants. Very easy to get to Basel (tram 8) Room spotlessly clean, good choice for breakfast.
Review 4：We had bad luck with Sauna that was not open and some emergency drill which made it a bit awkward in the morning. But the staff was very pleasant and all in all not too much trouble.

Review 7：The room was so homely that we decided to spend the evening there rather than explore the locality after a long weekend working. The breakfast was very special and the staff were very helpful. Very good location for the airport which was reached in 36 minutes at a minimal cost.

Review 10：It was a very hot time of the year (above 30°C), and the rooom did not have air conditioning, that affected the quality of the sleep. Some parts of the building showed to be dated quite some time ago.
Review 11：Very convenient location if you're travelling North-South of Europe and need a place to stay for one night. We arrived at 21.00 p.m. and the staff was kind enough to serve us food, highly appreciated after a long trip. It was summer, and the restaurant was serving pleasant food outside. At check-out, we were given one bottle of water and box of candy each, which we gladly used during the rest of our trip. Very good breakfast, wide selection of food.

Review 79：The reception is supposedly open until 11 pm. We arrived at 10 pm and found everything dark and all doors locked. After knocking for a while a lady came out from a back door and gave us our key. We had read that the hotel provides wifi connection, but when we asked for the password, she said she couldn't give it to us because she didn't have access at that hour. She then got in her car and left (obviously much earlier than eleven).

Review 81：We only found this hotel because everything in Basel was booked out or too expensive. And what luck that was. It's a three minute train ride in to Basel, and was perfect for us to see the Art Fair. The staff at the Ott Hotel are so kind and friendly, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. When asking about a taxi or bus one morning to get to a nearby museum, we were surprised and delighted to be offered a ride there by the owner himself. After a recent and very ordinary experience in Paris, I would rather come here any day.
