Reviews for Castillo Lanjaron
Review 1:Nothing - but tea and coffee in the room would be good. and the emergency lights in the could be smaller
Review 2:a gem of a hotel in its own time warp. Spotless clean and very friendly staff excellent location excellent value for money close too good food areas
Review 3:No Parking, mattresses & pillows very firm, room safes could not be used, sewage smell from bathroom we resolved it by putting plug in bidet and filling with water.
Review 4:Not really a negative point: one should know that the hotel has no own parking area (but there is a free municipal parking area quite near).
Review 5:The staff is very friendly (much more than you often can expect), pets are not just allowed but really welcome. The hotel is quite (no bar or discotheque in this area).
Review 6:The shower's water pressure was a bit weak.
Review 7:Fantastic value for money. Air conditioning worked great. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 8:The staff of this elegant hotel is extremely friendly and helpful, the room was wonderful, quiet, and with great views. Wifi worked beautifully as did AC. We really had a wonderful relaxing holiday, and would love to come back next year.
Review 9:There was nothing to dislike about this hotel
Review 10:Hotel was in a very quiet position in a side street but very close to the town. We had a fantastic meal in the hotel next door with wonderful views of the mountains.
Review 11:Of course nothing is perfect: the hotel has no private parking, but it is possible to let the car on the free municipal parking (free) that is very near.
Review 12:The hotel is central but quiet (small street next to the main street), the staff is very friendly, dogs are welcome (without extra charge) and the rooms are comfortable.
Review 13:Large quiet room, with fantastic view of the Arab castle. Extremely good value when we were there (off-season). The proprietor speaks excellent English, though the other staff do not.
Review 14:Nothing, it was great value for money.
Review 15:Easy to find hotel, parking free right outside hotel in November, public parking close by. Room was lovely, good sized and good bathroom. Will stay there again in the summer.
Review 16:We had a large room with balcony an view over the valley and the moorish castle. the price was excellent for a three star hotel. Easy free parking nearby.
Review 17:There was no option to have breakfast though, in reality, we were 2 minutes' walk from the nearest bar, several of which served breakfast for a few euros. The ants on the terrace were a disappointment but did not disturb us in the room.
Review 18:The hotel staff and manager were all very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, including free entrance to the local pool, which they should really advertise as you do not know this until you arrive. Many people looking for a pool would dismiss this lovely hotel because of this. The manager had some very good suggestions for where to eat and what to do in town. He could not do enough for us.
Review 19:Nothing, everything was very good
Review 20:Great hotel in the centre of town
Review 21:Warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lovely room which was exactly what I had asked for.
Review 22:Grandfather TV
Review 23:Very quiet and comfortable
Review 24:A little noisy as is very close to an apartment block, but didn't disturb my sleep.
Review 25:Very good location in the centre of town, excellent value.
Review 26:The friendliness of all staff. Just round the corner from pubs cafes restaurants. Only a few minutes walk from the balneario.

Review 37:Breakfast very basic
Review 38:The hotel is clean and bright very friendly staff
Review 39:The hotel is very central and very easy to find which is a bonus. Rooms are big and comfy.
Review 40:The staff, the building, breakfast and the room with balcony and lovely view
Review 41:Rooms were to hot and hard to sleep as air con very poor.
Review 42:Staff very accommodating , very clean and fantastic location .
Review 43:Friendly staff and very clean.
Review 44:Excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. Spotlessly clean. None of the staff spoke a word of English, but this was not a problem. They endured my "school boy Spanish" and the service was first class. I travel all over the world and have stayed at Hotels of every class. Some of the 5 Star establishments could learn a few things about customer care from the Castillo Lanjaron. I will return !
Review 45:Unfortunately the shutter blinds in our bedroom didn't work which meant light flooded the room early in the morning. Also, plumbing ..... having to put toileyt paper in a basket????
Review 46:Almost everything. Location was convenient, views from bedroom excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. We'd go back there tomorrow"
Review 47:We were lucky we were there when it was quiet and got a car park out the front but be aware the hotel has no parking if you're booking during peak season.
Review 48:Location is superb, along with the view of the old Arabic fort. This little hotel has the feel of a bygone era, its simple and rustic but we liked it.
Review 49:Electricity in bedrooms eccentric. Bedding a little basic. No restaurant or bar at this time of year - but plenty of choice close by - and this seasonal effect is factored into the tremendous price.
Review 50:Good location for walking, the town, public transport. Outstanding value for money (March). Large rooms with OK en-suites. All staff very friendly and helpful (helps if you speak a little Spanish)..
Review 51:The staff were excellent. Pepe at reception was delightful: charming and helpful. He also has very good taste in music - we could hear beautiful, but unintrusive, music when we walked onto the lobby.
Review 52:There is no garden or outside space which is a shame given the views and there isn't really a park in the town. The wifi was a bit patchy at times, sometimes it worked in our room and other times it didn't.
Review 53:The hotel is really lovely, we were given a room with a great view over the mountains and down to the Arab castle. The room and all the hotel is very modern and clean. Our room was nice and big with the twin beds and a table and chairs. There is a really cool system where you can have radio playing in both the room and the bedroom. The room is cleaned and made up each day. The room was so quiet and peaceful, it was great to sleep. The hotel is just off the main street and conveniently between the baths and the main shops etc of the town. It's also near where the bus stops from Granada. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and friendly - they gave us some great recommendations about where to eat and booking the baths etc
Review 54:Weight loss as no food. Excitement of finding receptionist lied. Dressing up at night because bed unaired
Review 55:Good value. Clean, quiet, large room with superb balcony / terrace overlooking the castle & countryside of Lanjaron. Just off main thoroughfare.
Review 56:End of may visit and town was dead. The only thing missing wastumbleweeds but that was our experience in most towns less than 250,000.
Review 57:Castle out our window. Soft classicical music playing throughout hotel.Lots of swallows outside our room but as soon as patio door closed itwas silent. Very quiet. Just a little English spoken (and my poorlimited Spanish) but all needs met by very friendly staff.
Review 58:nice atmosphere and location. We had a great mountain view. Very friendly staff and very good value for money.
Review 59:Value for money Wonderfulll location
Review 60:We liked being at bit of a distance from the city center: plentiful free parking, spacious rooms, lovely setting, incredible price for a 4 star hotel
Review 61:Welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful room. Great value for money. Lanjaron is a beautiful small town set in Alpajarra.
Review 62:Friendly staff, spacious room, balcony with amazing view, very good value for money.

Review 67:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is a good starting point for visiting the area.
