Reviews for Casa Rural La Josa
Review 1:There was nothing that we didn't like
Review 2:We loved our room and verandah. We had a wonderful welcome, beautiful dinner and breakfast, and lots of good ideas of places to go in the region
Review 3:My only recommendation is that you hire a car to truely experience this area. On foot, my options were limited.
Review 4:Beautiful location and lovely people.
Review 5:La zona es muy calurosa en julio-agosto
Review 6:Vistas unicas en mitad de la naturaleza. Excelente servicio
Review 7:A perfect rural retreat. A rustic country house with all modcom in the most beautiful surroundings not far from town, yet totally isolated with fantastic mountain views. The owners couldn´t have been more friendly and helpful. The evening meal was regional home cooking at its best.
Review 8:Wonderfully relaxing, total peace and tranquility, the perfect antidote to wonderful Madrid. 4 days of bliss! Super places to visit, Candeleda is so old and atmospheric. There was a week of festivities during our visit (w/c 9 Sept) with bull running around the streets, similar to but safer than, Pamplona. The host is great and full of suggestions to make your visit more interesting. There are some wonderful walks of all degrees of difficulty.
Review 9:Ricardo is an excellent host. It will go out of his way to accommodate your every wish. Do not forget to ask for the special dinner menu prepared by Tony, his wife. The location is peaceful and if your neighbours enjoy the same quiet environment it can be the ideal retreat. The terrace is wide and although shared with others it provides a personal space to enjoy your evenings. The house is places close enough to the village of Candeleda, which can provide all your shopping needs. For those interested in hiking there are plenty of places to go and Ricardo will provide you with the best details and local maps. Opropesa is a small historic site very close to the village and it is work to spend a day to visit the castle, the parador and the historic village.
Review 10:Not sure what the value was of the upstairs seating area in our room, and it did make the room somewhat more cramped and dark.
Review 11:Ricardo and his wife were great hosts. The food was terrific and the terrace where we ate had spectacular views, as did our room. The birdlife was outstanding - a host of azure-winged magpies, and a resident golden oriole. A place to recharge one's batteries!
Review 12:Very nice and friendly owner, Toni and Recardo look after us so much. La Jose is located on beautiful and peaceful place. We can hear only birds siging. We had a nice dinner that Toni cook for us. The singe for La Jose isn't clear in the road and narrow track lead to it but worth to get this peaseful place.
Review 13:We originally only booked to stay here for one night, but we found thelocation and the hospitality to be perfect, so ended up stayinganother night. This place is a must on anyone's list of place to stayin rural Spain.
Review 14:narrow access lane
Review 15:peace and tranquility balcony-shared views
Review 16:A friendly hotel in a beautiful hillside setting. It is also in a convenient location for visiting the southern face of the Sierra de Gredos.
