Reviews for Go Hotel Shnelli
Review 1:It's the first hotel where i was attacked by bed bugs.Stayed just for 2 nights there and after check out felt the whole body itching hard. Absolutely disgusting. Also there are no sound isolation between standart rooms so be aware of drunk or noisy neighbors.
Review 2:Convinient location near the Old Town&park.
Review 3:I think that if the staff knows that the family of four is coming and the sofa bed will be used for sleeping, could make the bed in advance and not after checking in. After checking the staff brings the beddings and you have to make the sofa bed for yourself. The sound of the trains. But it depends on the room you get, as the first time it was not heard at all, and the second seems you're living on the railway tracks. Quite poor breakfast though. No fresh fruit or salad.
Review 4:Hotel close to the down town. But this time we got the room seems like on railway tracks. Very loud. The room very nice and comfortable, spacious. Free parking, good wifi. Close to the ferries.
Review 5:If you sleep sensitively you probably will hear the raileay station noises; quite poor breakfast
Review 6:Really good location: 5 min from the old city; next door - a big supermarket; free parking in front of the hotel
Review 7:The hotel needs triple windows for outside noise.
Review 8:Excellent location, really the best around Toompea, no need to go up and down. Breakfast is homy, with nice personnel.
Review 9:Basically, you get what you have paid for. One night of my stay in GO Schnelli cost me about 44€. But bathroom is dirty and breakfast is very, very poor.
Review 10:Room is big. Personal is friendly. Free parking
Review 11:I don't recomend the rooms on the side of the trains coming and leaving. The noise starts from the early morning. Impossible to sleep.
Review 12:Location is very good. Although near the raillway station.
Review 13:Very noisy extractor fan, it was especially noticeable at night. Well, sometimes it was switched off, otherwise it would be impossible to sleep) Room 334
Review 14:Very convenient location, next to a supermarket, pharmacy, the old town across the street. Very welcoming and friendly staff to help solve any problems. Normal breakfast. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. I liked everything, thank you.
Review 15:I was asking for a wake up call and it didn't came. Asking at the reception what happened i was told they called a taxi instead. I could live with that, that can happen, but the real issue was then that i didn't got a real breakfast and the service was very unfriendly in the breakfast room, even if i explained what happened. Ah and if you are a smoker, it can happen that you have a 500 meter walk to get out of the building
Review 16:Not the cleanest hotel, the towels i got on a first day were with hair in them and the dishes at the breakfast were dirty. Breakfast mediocre at best.
Review 17:good enough location if you are staying outside of the old town, nice staff
Review 18:Size of apartment (in the building of railway station) for price of an ordinary room. Cafe with a view to rails / or to Old Town - as you wish. And sound isolation is very good - you can see trains, but you do not hear them.
Review 19:We had a chance to turn on the TV and there were like Russian, Estonian, German and Finland channels. No channels in English.
Review 20:Nice and warm. Service was really nice, also the breakfast.
Review 21:Everything about this hotel is charmingly average and dependable. It's a basic, clean and comfortable place to stay with cute artwork and subtle train decor. We loved our view over the train tracks and didn't hear any noise.
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:Very good modern hotel with helpful staff and good restaurant. Good views over old city from 7th floor. Short walk into old town and next to railway station.
Review 24:If you are not lucky to have a rom with view to Old City, the view and noise are miserable - you are in railway station. One rde reception girl detsroyed the general Picture of the service. Rooms very-very Basic.
Review 25:The location is good if you have to catch the train next morning like I did. The hotel is relatively new, dining area is new and nice.
Review 26:Noisy trains if you take a standard room, otherwise 10 EUR is charged for "superior" where the difference means only the other side of the hotel, so no trains will disturb you.
Review 27:Free parking, excellent location to old town, good wifi, nice staff at reception
Review 28:Shower was strange. Bathroom flooded everytime I used the shower.
Review 29:Great location. Easy to access public transit and close to Tallinn olld town. Cafe was very nice and had good coffee and reasonably priced drinks. The one lunch I had was very good. Breakfast buffet was OK.
Review 30:We were placed with a not so nice view as i have requested top floor but we were placed on 2nd floor. We had 3 rooms then. No hair blower in the bathroom so that really sucks. No room service
Review 31:It is close to old town. Fairly clean. Staffs speaks english
Review 32:Room was awful and tacky, bathroom was unbelievably smelly, it was incredibly unpleasant to use shower or the toilet. Sink was dirty. Even the bin in the bathroom was broken. Very ugly artwork on the walls. Although breakfast was ok, the restaurant was too full and you had to queue for food and to get seated.
Review 33:The location of the hotel is right near the Old Town and the Train Station. It is modern, clean and has everything we need as travellers. It has a free parking!
Review 34:perfect location, close to the tran station and 5 min walk from old town. big family room, with kitchen. kind and helpfull staff. very good buffet breakfast
Review 35:We booked apartment room for 4, because we were travelling with children, we checked in quite late but when we came into the room bedding was only for 2, we gave call to reception and the bedding was dropped off in 10 min.
Review 36:Spacious room, nice green colors ,very Helpful staff, helped us to arrange a car hire.Good location, close to Old Town.
Review 37:Indifferent staff. Rooms in pictures look better than in real life - not cozy. Location at the train station is not the safest.
Review 38:Fresh, but comfortless interior. Located close to the old town. This hotel I can recommend only those who need a place where just to sleep.
Review 39:Long walk from reception to room, but afterwards there is a shortcut with keycard to get out/in.
Review 40:Inside the main railway station the apartment room was new, quiet, clean and spacious. And with the view of trains! Parking and reasonable breakfast was included. Supermarket downstairs (open until 23).
Review 41:As we experienced in most of Tallinn, the staff were not friendly or welcoming (except for a couple of maids who were lovely and actually smiled). Very basic room but clean and comfortable. Noisy with no air conditioning and regional train station outside window.
Review 42:The location - right at edge of the Old Town
Review 43:Very hot rooms. No air conditioning, it was like a furnace! Too much noise from the railway station. Horrid breakfast with very rude and discourteous staff in the restaurant.
Review 44:Location was good near the railway station and adjacent to the old town.
Review 45:We booked non smoking room, but get one for smokers. It's hard to describe the scent in it. Probably never emptied ashtray smells better than it. The smell couldn't be ventilated by the open window (we tried very hard). Also bathroom wasn't the cleanest we've seen, and at 1 am light stopped working without any reason (but it was O.K. in a morning). Choice of the dishes at breakfast was very poor. The best moment in Go Hotel Shnelli was our check out.
Review 46:Very close to old town.
Review 47:We were upgraded to one of their new rooms above the supermarket next door. Enormous, and complete with fridge, microwave, breakfast bar and plates etc for 4 people.
Review 48:we liked everything. From nice and pleasant reception girls to modern and clean rooms. Great breakfast choice, even for the child. The best place to stay. Near old city, tramway station, train station.
Review 49:The hotel is near old town. We traveled with dog. It was great that hotel is near old town and a good park for dog through the road. Window was on railway but we haven't listen trains. If we will arrival at Tallinn in future we stay in that hotel.
Review 50:Specific smell in bathroom, noise from the street, hotel restaurant closes ant 10pm with no option for place to eat nearby
Review 51:Delicious lunch in the restaurant, wifi connection, place of hotel
Review 52:Lobby was crowded when the buses arrived.
Review 53:Too clean place and they allowed me to keep my bivuvle in their luggage storage room Breakfast was included gor a fee, and okay, but not to the same libel as the hotel.
Review 54:Very narrow beds. No facilities for making coffee or tea. Internet ok - but not very fast. Not in downtown - no cafes or bars near the hotel.
Review 55:Perfect location for a single night if you want to catch an early morning train from Tartu. It is virtually next to the train station.
Review 56:The second time we stayed here. The hotel has a large parking in front of it, and also in front of the main station (next building). Some happy people have windows giving on the old Tallinn, we had one giving on the station, but still no problems with noice.
Review 57:No hair dryer in the bathroom.
Review 58:Very helpful and efficient staff, multilingual. Located at railroad station, seaport is in walking distance. Taxi available 24 hours. You can see old town of Tallinn from your room window. 5 minutes to Old Town across the street. Not expensive, but clean and comfortable. Perfect internet access.
Review 59:The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old city which is the reason I visited Tallinn. The room was spotless and the staff very accommodating in several languages. Very happy I chose it!
Review 60:Rooms are quite spartan and the hotel itself is without atmosphere. The breakfast was adequate, but very poor selection of bread (toast, grain toast, rye) and the eggs/omelet were fried dry every morning (I stayed for 2 nights)... Showerhandle didn't produce any pressure/water and it was halfheartedly fixed after i mentioned it.
Review 61:Perfect location if you are taking a morning train and a nice 10 minute walk if you want to go to the old town. Staff is professional and friendly/polite. The wifi worked very good.
Review 62:We were very dissapointed as the room was not what we expected. we have asked for a room at the upper floors looking in front and instead we had a room at the first floor looking at the railway station. The girl at the reception said that all the standar room look at the railway station, something that there was not in the description of the room! The room was not very clean and the breakfast very poor. also the soundproofing between the rooms is not very good!
Review 63:location, very close to the old town free car parking
Review 64:It is a bit further from most of the accommodation places (on the other side of Old town - but good for those who would want to use trains - just behind the railway station). The breakfast was not included, although it should be so from the description.
Review 65:The place was well maintained, very clean, and had all the required utilities. The staff were helpful and even gave me my room 3 hours earlier than check-in time.
Review 66:The shower head was terrible. Impossible to set a normal temperature, no water pressure at all. TV set was old one - the bubble type. No hair dryer.
Review 67:Clean, good sound isolation, soft beds, nice staff, neat breakfast, perfect location and free parking.
Review 68:Location close to railway station and window looking to busy road could be bothersome. Room is quite small and doesn't have cosy atmosphere in it.
Review 69:Good option if you need to stay for the night somewhere, not spending too much time in the hotel room. Great Wi-Fi coverage, decent breakfast and location close to old town.
Review 70:Room could be cleaner, and the breakfest could be better.
Review 71:We like the hotel, stuff were really great, they solved all our questions and helped a lot. Great massage chair :) Beautiful view.
Review 72:we didn't have hairdryer in our bathroom, which I think is weird for 3star hotel, but i got it on request from room service personnel.
Review 73:It was possible to regulate the temperature of room and temperature of floors in the bathrooms by ourselves.
Review 74:Bed sheets were from unbreathable material. Half of bathroom floor after showering gets wet, but they have tool to move the water back to shower area.
Review 75:Friendly staff, good english, fast wi-fi, you get the password at check-in. Nice view to old town's walls and castle. Clean, nice shower and toilet. Beds were comfortable. Very warm in winter, you can turn on cooler/heating, floor heating and open window. Great location, free parking at the door of hotel. Easy to see hotel from city, in case you loose the map. Thursday's night was very silent. You don't hear trains from train station that is nearby or cars out on street.
Review 76:The fact that the hotel was more or less empty, and I still got noisy neighbours sent next to me at 0300 hrs - which led to me oversleeping in the morning and missing my train in the morning. That was not nice.
Review 77:Location
Review 78:The double bed was actually two single beds next to each other and they easily slide apart. No hair-dryer. No mini-bar. No desserts for breakfast.
Review 79:The best thing about the hotel is location. It is just at the Tallinn railway station, which is very convenient if you travel by train. The room is soundproof, I had no problem with train noise and there are no trains after 11pm. The Old City is just 10 minutes walk and if you are lucky you may get a room with the view on the Toompea. Free WiFi. Room is spacious. Good value for money.
Review 80:Low value for money in general. Especially the room quality. Bathroom stunk too. Breakfast was really one of the worst ever.
Review 81:Good location near old town
Review 82:Pillows and blankets were terrible, so unbreathable and syntetic :(
Review 83:The hotel is located just opposite the Old town, nice view on old walls. Staff was very friendly. Quiet, no rales from street. Free parking for hotel guests. First impression - nice, cozy hotel for good price, but
Review 84:The room is really small. We order double bad, but we get two single bads sticked together. We stayed 2 nights in this hotell, breakfast both mornings was tha same.
Review 85:Internet in the room is realy good. Ther was no problems with that. In bathroom is floor heating. Wich I found really cool. The room could be with view to old town of Tallin. Next to the hotel is trainstation, in the room can't hear a thing. And it could be advance for those people who travel with trains.
Review 86:Room tip: try to avoid the rooms ending with 01 (like 501, 601) since they are next to noisy elevators. In summer, rooms tend to become too hot (no A/C).
Review 87:It's all about location - three minutes walk from Old Town, next to railway station and also accessible by bus and tram. A supermarket, farmer's market, flea market, and cosy cafes are all within a minute's walk. At the same time the hotel is surprisingly quiet (at least the rooms on higher floors).
Review 88:Apartments rooms are in the train station building and the view is straight to the train platform. Walking through the corridor you'll see the shopping market place. Walls are thick, noises from neighbors.
Review 89:Place, apartments rooms are new and clean.
Review 90:At this price we expected that there would be shampoo/conditioner etc available in the room.
Review 91:We stayed in an apartment that was a bit more expensive than the other options. There was no audible noise from the train station apart from the low humm of diesel trains sometimes present for a short while. The location was great as you have easy access to both the old town and the Kopli/Kalamaja area. Breakfast was good, they do not serve warm meals but for an average european this is enough, I'm sure you will be content.
Review 92:Nice, clean, modern room. Good size. It was right next to the train station but there was no noise from the trains at all. Road noise was also blocked by double windows. It took less than five minutes to walk into the old town. The view from the 6th floor over to the old town was also great, especially at night.
Review 93:chose only because booking.com offered good weekend deal for superior room and they are kind of pet friendly. after i made the booking, i was told that the pets are only allowed in standard room, which is a student dorm like small room with two teenage size beds. windows to the railway station and the noise terrible. during booking connection with the biggest bank in Baltics didn't work
Review 94:location near old city free parking
Review 95:Do not expect 4-5 star hotel breakfast for this price. We knew that there wouldn't be much choice in terms of meals, even though all the basics were there, but still it was a very basic choice. Haven't managed to use Wi-Fi..
Review 96:Location, staff attention to our requests, quiet room, we were also offered the best room they have got. Very good option if you plan travelling by train, very convenient for early departures. Excellent view on medieval city. We were satisfied with our stay, and will come back again if we travel by train.
Review 97:Do not chose a standard room, as you'll get rail station view with endless announcements.
Review 98:Free parking, good location, free wi-fi, nice window view if you get a proper room, clean room
Review 99:The room and bathroom was dirty. Pillows and duvet where small and cheap. TV is mini size and there is no air-con! Furniture at the room was just some shelves. I do not recommend this place!
Review 100:The restaurant down stairs fas superb!
Review 101:Actually I liked everything in the room, really nothing to dislike.
Review 102:Location of the hotel is just perfect: right next to Central railway station, trolleybus station and 5min walk from the Old Town's main square. New Apartment room was very clean, very spacious and well equipped with beds, coach, bar-style dining table and all the needed in bathroom, even heated floor. Room was very comfortable and sound of announcement from railways was noticeable only in the beginning. It didn't bother my sleep at all, however I didn't open the window. Also I really liked design of the hotel and that my room was actually inside the Railway station building, cool experience. And once again space in the room, best choice for the money you pay. In Old Town itself for the same money you'll get 3 times smaller room with noisy neighbours and broken plumbing. Wifi connection was also good, no complaints no breaks. I often come to Tallinn and I guess since now this is my best choice to stay.
Review 103:It is a budget hotel - clean but functional. Breakfast could be better - the quality was very much the cheapest ingredients available.
Review 104:Good value for money. Well located adjacent to rail station & just a short walk to Old Town
Review 105:Sewer odor emanating from toilet was mentioned to front desk; it never went away or improved.
Review 106:Enjoyed the easy walk to Old Town, the friendly staff, the more than adequate breakfast.
Review 107:Extremely uncomfortable chair in the room. After hipsurgery there was no other alternative but to sit on the bed. Breakfast buffe quite tedious. Don't like the pre-pay system to get a decent room rate.
Review 108:Location already noted.
Review 109:If you want to spend your night with trains right outside your window you won't mind this place, but if the very loud noises the estonian trains might bother you, stay away. The noise was a bit more bearable on the other side of the building, but staying on the 2nd floor with the trains so close that you could almost reach out the window and touch them was not very pleasant. FYI, GO is the name of the train company in estonia, so a hotel named GO hotel might have its drawbacks.
Review 110:The good part was that it was cheap and very close to the old town.
Review 111:The room was a bit small, yet acceptable for a short stay. Rooms on upper floors are not noisy at all as they are not affected by the eventual noise coming from the railway station, nearby.
Review 112:The location. Although not in the very heart of the old town, this is within a walking distance. The beautiful park on the opposite side of the street. The kindness of the staff. Car parking. Supermarket very close to the hotel.
Review 113:Our windows led to the railway station, hence all night long we heard announcements
Review 114:40 square meters - lots of space Location near the Old town Free Wifi at normal speed
Review 115:Fantastic location on a beautiful park; our room overlooked the castle. Five-minute walk to old town, twenty minutes to the ferry terminal (50 to the bus station). Comfortable beds, good selection of tv channels, perfect wifi.
Review 116:Very load because of the railway station, which is 10 m from the hotel. Also no air condition - by 30 degrees in this summer it was a problem.
Review 117:The hotel is very close to the old town, so you can let the car at the hotel and go by foot. Breakfast also very good.
Review 118:No criticism whatsoever
Review 119:The rooms were basic but comfortable - just right for visitors who only needed a place to sleep. Staff were friendly and knew how to smile (a bonus in any former Soviet state!). Don't forget to use the great value restaurant.
Review 120:no airconditioning. With 30 degrees C at the time of our stay this was not very comfortable.
Review 121:walking distance from historical center spacious and clean room and bathroom sumptuous breakfast
Review 122:Our room was facing the train station. From 7 railways that the station has, 3 are for diesel trains, and they are the closest ones to hotel. Despite their modern look these diesel trains make a massive engine noise that rev up and down even if they are stopped. Engine smoke may also get in the room depending on the winds and if you close the window which isolates noise poorly there is no a/c to keep the room at a nice temp. In addition, the train door buzzers will add their part to the background engine melody. The train noise is there from 7 am to later than 11 pm. For what you pay 65€ What you get is an overpriced room. The bathroom was a bit smelly too.
Review 123:Good wifi signal and located just 10 min from the old town. Nice breakfast place and tasty food.
Review 124:We got a room with windows on the side of a central railway station so we can hear trains all the time :o(
Review 125:It's a typical scandinavian budget hotel, everything was okay. It's just 300 meters from old town :o)
Review 126:A bit poor breakfast, some meals that had to be hot were cold; breakfast area should have more space, especially in summer when the city is crowded by tourists. Bathroom - not very comfortable, especially the shower cabin (cabin without any door, so the water flooded the whole bathroom). Overall - good, but some things must be considered.
Review 127:Perfect location (few minutes to the old town), comfortable bed, no annoying noise from outside, clean room. Hotel - easy to find. Free car parking.
Review 128:Shower tended to flood the whole bathroom.
Review 129:Friendly staff. We were upgraded free of charge to a room on the top floor with a great view. Location is great. Main attractions all within easy walking distance.
Review 130:Very low pressure in the shower head Improper low quality shower and faucets mixer (hard to set) Average, limited not so tasty breakfast No air conditioning inside the room (only small fan)(still tolerable) No security safe in the room No refrigerator No kitchenette
Review 131:Room 610 In the city center Close to the old town Scenery of the old town Selver (shopping market) is connected with the hotel on the third floor. Glass elevator Welcoming receptionists Stylish Room Good selection for interior Dove shampoo Beautiful picture inside the room.
Review 132:Hotel is next to the station which causes the noise and specific smell when you open the windows (1 side of hotel directly on the train track, other side with view of the park but also for a noisy street). Parking was "closed" however there was a huge gap in the fence: cross walk through which you could easily drive away with any car :)
Review 133:Close to the old Tallinn. Closed parking with the gate.
Review 134:- Rather small parking. - No bar fridge in standart room. - No conditioner. As explained - conditioners are available in apartments only. Nowadays normally conditioners are available in 3 star hotels in all rooms. - Price is too high for such apartment (65 eur per night with discount).
Review 135:- Personnel was as much helpful as it could be. Very nice attitude. - Very good breakfast. - Close to old town. - Clean.
Review 136:No air conditioning in the room.
Review 137:Location was good, next to railway station so there was always plenty of taxis and buses nearby. Supermarket right next for. Short walk into old town. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The Fine Print
Please note that pets are allowed only in the Standard rooms.
