Reviews for Hotel Andalucia

Review 1:Nothing really to dislike.

Review 2:This was in an ideal location although it is not too easy to find. Our room had a balcony where we were able to sit to enjoy the afternoon sun.

Review 3:Breakfast was poor, despite reviews having been good, greasy fried food and poor quality ingredients coffee awful!

Review 4:hotel was very clean but quite tired in it's structure.

Review 5:Noisy neighbours was the main problem, shouting at 7 in the morning. Also the sing-song that started at 10 at night, and went on until 1130! And all the songs sounded the same!!

Review 6:A wonderful central location. Excellent breakfast.

Review 7:Not the easiest to find initially (not well signed, if at all, on the approach roads + one way system). Seemed to be a bit of an old folks destination but an interesting town.

Review 8:Very friendly welcome, great view from our balcony (worth paying the extra), very good value, maybe a little old fashioned but in keeping with its location. Huge breakfast (multiple courses). Went to a great deal of trouble to ensure our bike was parked securely (in the hotel garden!). Big pool which looked very inviting but never made it.

Review 9:The staff at this hotel are 5 *, they are simply superb, from Almudena and her colleagues on the desk to Nieves who cleans the rooms. Some hotels may have more facilities and maybe a higher star rating but we would not swap our recent experience for anything. Fabulous

Review 10:Tired decor, old and inadequate furniture. Odd shaped bathroom.

Review 11:Friendly, helpful staff. Central location, free WiFi and air conditioning. Free parking.

Review 12:The breakfast didn't start till 8.30am, but I suppose we were on holiday! The pool didn't open till 11am!

Review 13:A very central location. The pool was really good, with shade. The breakfast was great.

Review 14:The fact that the pool did not open until 11:30!! This is a ridiculous time for a pool in Spain. Many people like a swim before breakfast and even after breakfast not to have to wait a couple of hours for the pool to open. Also the fact the pool is open to the public is a bit of a drawback. Maybe some sunbeds should be reserved for residents - it is not good to arrive at the pool and find all the beds have been taken by day-visitors. I honestly believe the day trippers should be charged, not only to get in (3e at present) but an extrea 5e for the hire of a bed - which is what the would pay on an average beach.

Review 15:The location, the staff and the general feel of the place.

Review 16:The bathroom was a bit dark and the whole hotel would need a refurbishment. It was a bit noisy the second night as there was an animation night for a group in the restaurant downstairs (this room should be better isolated so that other guests can sleep)

Review 17:The staff was very friendly at all times and the breakfast was excellent (more than you can except in a Spanish hotel). The room was comfortable and very clean. There is a private parking. Dogs are welcome without extra fee.

Review 18:No bar and the hotel could do with some refurbishment.

Review 19:The location, price, and friendliness of the staff made our stay an enjoyable experience. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Review 20:Don't look for modern amenities in Lanjaron but enjoy the atmosphere of the 70s! As for the hotel Andalusia, we liked absolutely everything in this hotel. There is a small but a very convinient car park along the road Granada-Orgiva (5 min walk to the hotel) and the breakfast is just fabulous! (Very old school, remember ..) A very good WiFi in the rooms. It was our third stay in this hotel and not the last one, we believe.

Review 21:We had to leave

Review 22:This place is situated in Lanjaron - good location to travel to Granada for the day - driving through the Sierra Navadas - walks in the mountains. The hotel has great breakfasts - a big swimming pool and clean rooms. The town has lots of places to eat and does tapas well.

Review 23:The parking is not as advertised. This is a significant issue in this town as there is very little public parking. Selected this hotel because of its parking advert! There is only very limited parking which rather than "no need for reservation" should be advertised as limited and can NOT be reserved. At least half the parking is so restricted in space as to risk being blocked in or damaged car. The cases are therefore a long way from the hotel up hill! No worry for the hotel bus it can park in the gardens! and no doubt most of the parking is for hotel management!

Review 24:Most things except parking

Review 25:There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel

Review 26:Excellent hotel - faultless- amazing views, brilliant and friendly staff.

Review 27:Thehotel is a little tired but very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast very good .Our room looked over to the castle.

Review 28:Very welcoming to our four dogs!

Review 29:Great breakfast, good parking

Review 30:Great location helpful friendly staff

Review 31:The pool is a plus and location was good

Review 32:Everything

Review 33:Amability of the staff and fantastic view from our room

Review 34:Very comfortable, great location, and the breakfast was INCREDIBLE! More than we had expected!

Review 35:The scenery and the town

Review 36:The english of the staff. The furniture is a little bit out of fashion.

Review 37:The location is good and as we were with a car - there is a parking.

Review 38:Can't find fault.

Review 39:There was a pool to relax by after being out for the day.breakfast exelant, with friendly staff all round.

Review 40:Airy rooms

Review 41:We have to pay more than the offer of the Booking.com (both has included the tax). The number of parking lots are limited comparing of the number of rooms (we have to parking on the city ceveral times). The used cleanig method was far away from the expectation. They did not informed the quests about the music performance.

Review 42:The wifi was excellent.

Review 43:We think the facilities around the swimming pool could do with a good makeover. There are only a handfull of parasols and they have certainly seen better days. Providing sun lounger cushions would also be welcome even if it meant an additional charge.

Review 44:Location , views, friendliness of staff. Breakfasts were very nice too. We have stayed at this hotel 4 times now and we find it very comfortable and relaxed. It is obviously an older hotel which has seen plenty of use but we would not keep going if we were not happy.

Review 45:The car park was a little bit difficult to reach. It requires an excellent driver to manage through the zigzag narrow path.

Review 46:The stuffs were very friendly. We enjoyed everything there. Hearing the birds singing ,we enjoyed the breakfast ,too. If there were a pot of hot water in the room to have a cup of tea , it would have been nicer.

Review 47:Website: Parking available no reservation required Hotel: Sorry the car park is full. Plan B = Drive through the narrowest streets imaginable, park a 10 minute walk from hotel and carry your luggage up a steep hill.

Review 48:Friendly staff, basic but comfortable rooms, by Spanish standards the breakfast was fantastic (more than just toast). Excellent location and Lanjaron is a beautiful place.

Review 49:Hotel is a bit dated and in need a re-vamp across the board.

Review 50:Location was in centre of town with free parking available. Everything to see / do / visit accessible by foot. For money paid was fine for a base for the night.

Review 51:Bathroom is a bit dated but functional. A small table on the balcony would be welcomed.

Review 52:The Location, the views from the room and balcony, the fantastic cooked to order breakfast, the friendly co operative staff, and the free parking. Lanjarron is a lovely small town to wander around and just unwind. It is the perfect base to explore the Alpujarras and the typical Spanish Villages. We will return and to Hotel Andalucia..Their staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble.

Review 53:Very basic facilities, no hairdryer in the room.

Review 54:Nice breakfest. Location is very good to explore Alpujarras. Nice restaurants around. Overall very basic but enough for 1-2 night stay

Review 55:Very, very basic. Couldn't get wi-fi in room. Fire escape system dangerous, we would have been stuck if there had been a fire. Swimming pool filthy and whole outdoor area unkempt. Cancelled our second nights stay and left!!

Review 56:Not much

Review 57:Nothing really. A nice place to stop

Review 58:A lovely hotel in the middle of this quaint spa town. I mean in as acompliment when I say it is old fashioned. Very Spanish. Good bar nextdoor. Breakfast was good

Review 59:Noisy after midnight from street though not through anti social behaviour Noisy in the early morning from refuse collectors etc...

Review 60:Swimming Pool Transport Links Street Location Helpful Staff Nice Comfortable Room

Review 61:Car park difficult to negotiate and a bit small, bathroom and bedroom furnishings a bit dated

Review 62:Nice friendly staff clean great views from balcony clean and looked after pool central location on main street convenient for park salao and walks to castle

Review 63:There´s two dancing nights per week. Hotel may not be right choice, if you don´t like tango, pasodoble, etc...

Review 64:Great pool! Breakfast was very good, there was options for choose from menú.

Review 65:Hotel allows locals to pay to use the pool. This ruins the tranquility and peaceful location. Some afternoons there were 20 to 30 children screaming round the pool.

Review 66:Good value.

Review 67:Hotel and the city seems to atract mainly elderly people.

Review 68:If you are looking for a quiet place for resting, that probably will be the good choice, but notice that Lanjaron is a village full of elderly people. The hotel is situated in mountains and offers very nice view from terrace. Tasty but rather not sophisticated breakfasts are also the adventage.

Review 69:Not new hotel, like memories from childhood

Review 70:Quite hotel in quite town. Banneology gave nice effect for our not old bodies. Good location to combine morning treatment in spa with short trip around also to granada/

Review 71:Evening meal which is optional isn't great (€9.50), but perhaps it's still low season. I would return to this hotel.

Review 72:Pleasant reception on arrival. Given remote control to adjust temperature in room. Nice view from room. Town map supplied. Good value for B&B. It's located a few metres from bus stop.

Review 73:facilities,organisation,breakfast,bedroom,poor direction ie (room numbering} not geared up for english speaking, nearly no info as to area .car parking signage and info poor.

Review 74:cleanliness price

Review 75:Getting into carpark a little difficult but not as bad as some!.

Review 76:Very friendly and helpful staff.Convenient for the town and little restaurants. Beautiful views. Breafast substantial and good choice. Accepts dogs and are very good to them. Very generous with heating.

Review 77:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money. Lovely outdoor pool and easy access to the southern side of the Sierra Nevada. Excellent ice cream cafe two doors away. Offers free parking which is important in Lanjaron as it is on a hillside and parking is limited.

Review 78:Central to shops and restaurants etc., Car parking included in price & didn't have to book it. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend this hotel and we are considering using it again next year.

Review 79:The bathroom was tiny!

Review 80:We only stayed one night but the location was great as we were trekking up the sierra nevada. The hotel is a bit tired but the price was good in view of the pool.

Review 81:The hotel would benefit from a little updating. The main problem was theswimming pool. The pool is very nice and there is a good amount ofloungers but unfortunately the hotel lets the general public pay to usethe pool. This result of this is loads of families and groups ofteenagers coming in leaving little or no space, especially after comingback hot and bothered from a long days touring to find the pool fulljust when you need a nice cooling dip.

Review 82:This hotel is in a very good location in Lanjaron. It is on the mainstreer close to all the bars and shops but it also has the best views ofthe countryside and the castle.

Review 83:I'm Portuguese. Portuguese language it's pretty similar to Spanishlanguage. I was shocked when one waitress didn't made a small effort tounderstand my accent pronouncing the word "churros"... In Portuguese the"ch" sound is "sch" and in Spanish is "tsh"... Very unpolite (and usual)from short minded people.

Review 84:Staff so simpathetic and friendly (except one waitress, see further);the Breakfast!!... :) The pool; The simplicity (so easy to feel "athome"); So calm and relaxing;I would live there easily and very pleased hehe he. Strongly recomended to relax!

Review 85:The swimming pool is open to the public and in the late afternoon allthe children from the village seem to arrive in the pool and they arenot the quietest!!Anyone hoping for a quiet swim and relax around the pool after a warm day out would be disappointed.

Review 86:Third visit - pleased to see that after our comments last year that thebird droppings had been removed from the balconies.Very relaxing hotel. The pool is very well maintained and is constantly being kept clean and free from debris.

Review 87:The hotel is old and some renovation would be welcomed. If you speakSpanish, you will do better.

Review 88:Good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was great.

Review 89:The bed was a bit hard.

Review 90:Good breakfast. Nice resident's room. Lovely view from room.

Review 91:Friendly atmosphere.

Review 92:Friendly, but problems in comunication on english.

Review 93:Located on the beatifull and quite hills of Sierra Nevada, peacefull surroundings.

Review 94:the breakfast was the best we have had anywhere

Review 95:Excellent value for money. Great swimming pool. Lanjaron is a lovely town.

Review 96:very basic room

Review 113:Loation and people
