Reviews for Sa Paissa
Review 1:The staff were wonderful and hard working too. The room had a safe. The room was basic but it served its purpose, it was very clean. The location was excellent.
Review 2:Our room was on the first floor overlooking the pool and bar. Every night fhere was live music and when the show was finished the staff needed to clean up and tidy all the chairs and tables. They are way too noisy and loud doing this! Not taking in consideration at all guests that could be already resting in their rooms. Wifi is free but not very good. There is no housekeeping service on Sunday
Review 3:The staff was nice, good breakfast with lots of options. About 10 minutes walk to to beach. Restaurants and supermarkets very close by.
Review 4:We had a really awful "welcome" from the woman in the bar - I think her name was Maria - perhaps she was having a bad day but it coloured my husband's perception of the whole place, as we were pretty tired and had walked from a luxurious place in Binisafuller! Cheer up Maria, you get six months off in winter. And the man who checked us in was very kind. Cala en Porter has a tired '70's look about it, quite surprising when you consider its location on the largely unspoilt coast of one of the Med's most beautiful islands. Next stop San Tomas
Review 5:We stayed one night HB at the Sa Paissa in Cala en Porter on the fifth day of our backpack from Mao to Cuitadella on the Cami de Cavalls. It was a real bargain - about £49 for DBB. The set menu had about 6-8 choices for each course and included a glass of wine. The food's very "English tourist abroad" but my fish and chips were absolutely perfect and my husband's Weiner Schnitzel very good. Breakfast, served in the neighbouring hotel apartments, was a full buffet with cooked food and fresh fruit, cheese, pastries etc. Our room had a small balcony and a shower - basin in room - and was clean and comfortable. This isn't a luxury hotel but for the price the Sa Paissa was excellent and I'd recommend it to any hiker for the Cami de Cavalls. The surrounding coastline is unbelievable in either direction and pretty easy underfoot.
Review 6:Bedroom walls are thin and balcony's are small.
Review 7:In the centre of Cala en Porter close to shops, restaurants and bars. With a good restaurant which serves very large (almost too large) portions.
Review 8:The menu in the main restaurant; chips with everything and no vegetable available and very little salad. Our breakfast in the hotel's shared facility down the road was fair and plentiful, if a little of a bun-fight! The noise late into the evening from the hotel's own entertainment, and others competing nearby - we'd not have booked such a hotel if we had known about the entertainment. No sound insulation from this even on the back side of the hotel. Pool miniscule. Matresses in rooms are very poor quality with hardly any padding over the wired edges, a very squeaky sprung base which did not touch the floor on all four legs, and no A/C, sadly, only a small box fan & only 1 socket for it - over the bedheadwhich made night operation unsafe and impractical.
Review 9:Honesty and friendliness of the staff, particularly when misplaced articles of value were found and handed in for safekeeping. Bathroom very clean and spacious, fittings getting broken and worn though.
Review 10:I booked into the sa paisse for one night and was put up in the siesta mar just up the road. We had booked half board so had our evening meal there. It was very poor buffet style but the meals were not ready at the same time and breakfast was the same. I would not have booked this if I had known we would have been transferred to the siesta mar

Review 42:We had an incredibly uncomfortable mattress which we couldn't bare after a couple of nights. but we asked the owner to change it and he did, straight away. The only other thing is that they promote free Wi-Fi, but this only ever appeared to be switched on during the main restaurant opening hours.
Review 43:Location is right in the centre of town - so couldn't be better. Lot's of good nightly entertainment and terrific, happy, smiling staff. You need to see the What didn't you like to realise my next point. After a couple of nights, we asked for our incredibly uncomfortable mattress to be changed, which they did straight away.

Review 45:Having to leave
Review 46:The staff were fantastic in all departments, and took pride in their work. There were plenty of events and some were actually really good despite preconceived opinions (Fake That haha)
Review 47:When I arrived they didn't have my reservation. I also had to go to the bar to check-in as no one was at the reception desk. I was arriving during the check-in hours so it would have been nice if they included a note to that extent. The bed in my first room was incredibly uncomfortable. Lucky/unlucky for me I came back to my room in the evening the next day to find my door wide open and two men resealed the toilet in my room- there was a horrible smell from the glue and I had to change rooms. It would have been nice to be notified of this. Although it was a pain to move rooms the bed in the next room was a significant upgrade.
Review 48:The manager was very nice and accomodating. You could tell it was a small operation and the whole staff seemed to enjoy working there.
Review 49:Nothing I was more than happy with the facilities and location.
