Review 1：Well positioned on the market platz - we had a sunny room with a peek of the Rathaus bell tower. The restaurant is very interesting as it is set in a conservatory between two original buildings.

Review 2：Until a staff member actually rode in the car with us we could not drive to the hotel with either gps or a map.

Review 3：Location and breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful! The staff was very helpful and could not have been nicer.

Review 5：Stunning location right on the town square. Very rare to find excellent service in Ossi Germany outside Berlin - management are doing something right here. One has to respect the designer for having thought of function and ensuring a good quality of finish, even if one does not share the taste. Individual (self-service) teapots for breakfast.

Review 10：Excellent hotel in excellent location, on the market square of the old town. Surrounded by plenty of cafes and restaurants and all main sights within easy walking distance. The staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly. Great room and superb breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 11：1. frontdesk service not optimal at arrival. 2. restaurant staff too busy, exampel: ordered wine were forgotten, had to reorder. Too little attention. 3. One of our four dob. rooms had a broken pipe, so water from the sink was pooring out on the floor. Was reported to the front desk, nothing happend. 4. Wi-fire was out of other. All this things was bad fore mee, because, we had recomended the place as absolut top-proff. We had viset Gotisches Haus a couple of years ago with our full satisfaction.

Review 17：The only issue we would have is the price of drinks in the bar. As the hotel is in the town square which has several other bars and cafes it seems counter productive to charge significantly higher prices than the competition.

Review 18：This is a well appointed hotel right in the centre of beautiful Wernigerode. The staff were both welcoming and very helpful and our room although at the back of the building was spotless. The breakfast choice was amazing even including chicken wings. We are already planning to return to see the area in the depths of Winter and will use this hotel without hesitation.

Review 19：Very difficult to reach by car using navigation. Lack of correct info during booking process. Could be very easy to find way to the garage, if info on booking.com would be correct (should we put in navigation system name "Klint").

Review 51：The pretentiousness. We were unfortunate to arrive during a Saturday 'event'. We had to wait more than half a hour to place an order, in a near deserted bar; the order arrived three-quarters of an hour later because the event took precedence over other guests. We shared the time with a mature German couple, who had stayed at the hotel for several years, but who said that, after a complete replacement of catering staff a year or two ago, standards had steadily declined. We had occasion, one evening to enquire about the air-conditioning controls in our room. The lady in reception assured us, in no uncertain terms, that the hotel did not have air-conditioning, even though their website does advertise this. She agreed with me that the best way was to open the window (this was, by the way, a superior room!).

Review 53：It's not about the hotel, it's about their restaurant (the hotel offers halfboard). The setting is nice, the waitors are polite, there are 4 courses for dinner but the food is just not tasty.

Review 54：The location is great - it's in the very centre next to the Rathaus. The room is comfortable, it's got a/c, a safe, a mini-bar, gowns and slippers, a courtesy set, a full bath... The bed is comfortable, the linen is good. There's a free bottle of water and sweets - a nice touch. The service is very polite and pleasantly formal. Breakfast is varied with very tasty coffee and classical background music.

But to be fair, neither did the touristoffice. So do your research before you travel if you are looking to walkanywhere but on the Brocken.

Review 67：Beautiful medieval hotel located in the market square. The Christmas decor was stunning. Good shopping facilities and Christmas markets "on the doorstep". Only a 10 minute walk to the main line railway station and also the Harz Mountain steam railway, which is well worth a visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are a feast!! Standards of cleanliness are high. We booked a "superior" room which overlooked the market square and although we were concerned there may be noise late evening, there were no worries here, as everything seemed to close just after 9.00pm. One word of warning - the town hall clock starts to strike at 7.00am. but this did not worry us. We had a fabulous 5 days here and would confidently reccomened the hotel.

Only downside is the parking is a little tricky to find initially, due to the circular local road layout, but once located it is secure and free. Would have no hesitation in coming back
