Reviews for Best Western Grand Hotel de Bordeaux

Review 1:No air conditioning (but there was a fan), charged extra for parking

Review 2:Good location in town, family room had separate room for our daughter.Good Breakfast

Review 3:The town itself was ok but there were a number of Travellers/hippies/?, about 20+ in number who pestered for money and made the atmosphere feel somewhat threatening.

Review 4:The location, the staff and the area surrounding the town.

Review 5:Nothing bad at all.

Review 6:Great place to stay, excellent staff and very helpful. Excellent garage facilities. Wonderful choices for breakfast and pots of coffee/tea rather than a machine!

Review 7:Indoor parking available behind hotel but quite tight for large car. Cost 10 euros per night but free public underground car park available opposite hotel.

Review 8:Super hotel, compares well with four stars hotels we've been in. Staff friendly and helpful Ideal position to the town. Went to the local market. Found a super Thai restaurant around the corner. We would highly recommend.

Review 9:a bit too soft bed

Review 10:Very nice and helpful staff ! Clean and airconditioned room

Review 11:Very friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyable atmosphere. Short way to restaurants and to the old part of town. Our small dog was welcome too.

Review 12:Parking is difficult especially trying to stop outside hotel to drop off bags.

Review 13:Close to old town.

Review 14:Quiet soundproofed room.On site secure parking.

Review 15:Able to park the bike securely, good location very easy to find

Review 16:Lack of air-conditioning.

Review 17:Quality of furnishings and premises in general.

Review 18:Agnes was very helpful.

Review 19:Tired hotel and needs refurbishing. Lift out of order.

Review 20:Location of the hotel. Excellent reception staff.

Review 21:Expensive parking at hotel garage, but underground parking nearby

Review 22:Central location,good breakfast buffet.

Review 23:parking car can be a problem and at 10euros per night .not attatcht to hotel !! free parking just 2mins away

Review 24:good breckfast room very nice very clean

Review 25:We booked (and got) a junior suite, but the layout was a bit awkward because of the room dimensions. Yes, it was bigger than a standard room, but the placement of the wardrobe, the chest-of-drawers and space for 'things' was just awkward. The bath is also very low, and not much bench space for toiletries (we ladies like to spread out a bit). The gel dispenser was along way away from where you sat in the bath - thank goodness the sink gel dispenser was moveable!

Review 26:The staff, in particular Jacky (male) was fantastic. We were there for 2 nights and the intervening day was a public holiday. None-the-less he left a note for the staff that our laundry was to be processed, and he himself ironed 2 pairs of washable trousers and a jumper. Plus he was a genuinely nice person.

Review 27:Coffee at breakfast mediocre, turn on the gaggia and offer decent coffee selection instead of only lukewarm filter coffee.Garage a bit tight for large vehicles.

Review 28:Central position, cafes, bars and restaurants adjacent.Comfy feel to hotel.Staff excellent, friendly, helpful and very professional.Good selection of breakfast dishes.

Review 29:Nothing really. The great location and as it has the facilities make mewonder why they do not either operate a restaurant or lease theirfacilities out to someone who would.

Review 30:Excellent location in heart of city. Room facilities were very good andmodern, although room size is tight. Garage behind hotel was convenientand being right in the centre meant paying 10 euros wasworthwhile.Reception staff gave an excellent recommendation for anevening meal at a very nearby restaurant La Renaissance where the foodwas terrific.

Review 31:No prospect of dinner except for room service butrestaurants/brasseries only a few metres away

Review 32:Centre of town. Friendly welcome. Secure garage parking.

Review 33:Tricky garage; we booked a double room but were given a three person room at the rear of the hotel; the extra bed made it feel small.

Review 34:Very plesant staff; good location; impressive public rooms.

Review 35:A minor point ...our room had a bath with shower over (which worked very well) but there was no shower curtain so water splashed all over the bathroom if you stood up in the shower. This meant using it seated in the bath. Some rooms do have a seperate shower cubicle though so check the spec of the room you get.

Review 36:As a travelling motorcyclist one of the best features is the hotels secure garage parking. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis and the rooms were fine and breakfast was very good. I have now stayed at the hotel twice (the previous time being July 2011) and on both occasions i have experienced very friendly, helpful & efficient staff who are happy to go out of their way to help. It has a great location in the centre of Aurillac and i felt we got excellent value for money at an average cost of 47 euros p/p/p/n for our 4 night stay & they did not charge us for parking our motorcycles in the garage. They also provide free WiFi service which was very useful (especially for keeping up with news as the TV in the room has no English channels). I would definitely stay at the hotel again & recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Review 37:No restaurant Quirky room design

Review 38:Location Appartment facilities

Review 39:Room was clean and comfortable. We were booked into an excellent restaurant which made our one night stay even more enjoyable.

Review 40:Poor pillows in comparison to elsewhere we stayed

Review 41:Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Garage facilities. Location. Proximity to the town centre and also Prisme venue.

Review 42:all is fine

Review 43:lovation in city

Review 44:Separate beds when we booked a double room not a twin. Bathroom was not up to the standard we expected for this kind of hotel.

Review 45:Location and staff
