Reviews for Hipotels Barrosa Palace & Spa
Review 1:This hotel has all the facilities you may expect from a 5-star hotel - easy boardwalk to the beach, indoor pool, spacious room with a separate sitting area, excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. What sets it apart is the service from the staff - absolutely every single member can find a greeting with a smile, every time!
Review 2:Nothing - maybe one very small detail, the bath towels were thin and probably it is time to replace them all.
Review 3:Fabulous buffet with a huge variety of foods to choose from. Very comfortable quiet room with large balcony and view of the sea and gardens, we were upgraded to a junior suite as it was a special birthday. Excellent staff, friendly and efficient. Beautifully kept gardens, and hotel in superb position on Barrosa Beach.
Review 4:Staff kindness and helpful is just outstanding. In my opinion, better than other famous Spanish brand hotels. Beach facilities and access better than closer hotels (from experience)
Review 5:The wifi needs improving it offered a very poor signal generally. A business option should be made available for those who want faster wifi with a small daily charge.
Review 6:The staff were superb and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Review 7:I booked a double room, as we are a couple on a romantic break. when we arrived, which was late and we were feeling unwell, as we booked last minute, the beds had been made up as 2 singles, when I complained I was told that is how they are and to complain to Booking.com. which was not my Idea of dealing with the problem, we were a couple on a romantic break, we pushed the beds together, but they were made up as single beds so the sheets did not fit.
Review 8:The location was amazing, the breakfast was the best I've seen around the world.
Review 9:We were informed that we would be allocated a table, which we would have to keep for the entire stay. The first table given was ridiculously close to the next 2 tables. When we asked to change the following night, we were given a table right in the sun so had to eat an hour later than usual due to strong evening sunshine. This is ridiculous for a 5 * hotel
Review 10:The food- great standard and variety in the buffet
Review 11:The fact that we were not able to get breakfast on Sunday morning early enough to make the Moto GP in Jerez. Had to go to the next door hotel.
Review 12:The facilities, the pool area and the room
Review 13:Staff didn't really speak English but mainly German and we felt a little bit apart. Umbrellas and sun bed were to be paid extra.
Review 14:very good care of babies and preparation of daily food for them. food buffet very rich and big variety and changes daily juinior suite spacious and excellent sea view
Review 15:Very tough to find any area for improvement.... The only disadvantage of the quiet location at the Barrosa beach is the fairly long drive to get on the highway; this might be a factor to take into account if your first purpose is to travel around in the Jerez-Cadiz area.
Review 16:Location is excellent and quiet; Very nice room with sea and dunes view, excellent breakfast and also a-la-carte restaurant is to be recommended. Barrosa beach is amazing, we will remember the long walks on the endless beach forever...
Review 17:Minor comment - lack of English fluency with bar/waiting staff. Not all guests are German! Their friendliness made up for it though!
Review 18:First of all, the staff in the pool bar, the beach bar and the hotel bar are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our dinners in the a la carte restaurant very much each evening. Breakfast good also. Prices of food and drink for a 5 star hotel are very good.
Review 19:However...as expressed in title of this review, nothing is reallyperfect and we had a hard time when leaving the hotel because we havereserved through "booking.com" and stayed one day less that weenvisaged at the time of the reservation. Although everything wassettled down and agreed to on arrival and confirmed with booking.com andwith the hotel desk, apparently was not dully registered on the computerdata of the hotel, so at checkout time the receptionist on duty arguedthat we had to pay one more day. Fortunately I had with me (on my iPad)the proof of the reservation change approved, but even so, it wasnecessary to call the Hotel Director to solve the problem. So, my adviceto any client staying in this hotel (and maybe in other hotels as well)is not to rely just because it is a "5 Star Luxury" hotel, butalways keep a proof of the reservation conditions until the end of all!
Review 20:I just left Hotel Barrosa Palace in Chiclana de la Frontera (Spain)after a one week stay with my wife in August 2014. The hotel is superb, the rooms very large and comfortable and the food is excellent (halfboard is the best option and the best value for money because the dinner-buffet is something worth trying: one can hardly imagine the quality andvariety of the menu!). The hotel pool is large and well taken care off,as well as all the other installations (E.G. indoor pools and Gym) andthere is a direct easy pass way from the outdoor pool to the beach - avery good beach indeed - which is also very convenient. The hotel staffis very friendly and we enjoyed very much our stay.
Review 21:Competing for loungers around the pool with other guests who leave their towels and a book in the early morning with no intention of using them for hours.
Review 22:General cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel and grounds was outstanding. The beach bar was great and the ability to charge food etc to the room was really good. No need to head to the beach with a wallet or cash.
Review 23:Many people coming and going to the beach through a lane just in front of our room located in the ground floor.
Review 24:Good location and facilities. Very good restaurant and service.
Review 25:for want of a comment, pool loungers could be more comfortable
Review 26:Facilities were great with easy access to beach. Quality of food. ample parking outside
Review 27:Beautiful location on lovely beach and gorgeous grounds.
Review 28:Never have.If we had, we every would not have returned ev.ry year since 2000
Review 29:The rooms. staff and the choice of food is excellent.
Review 30:Restaurant and good dinner.
Review 31:Nice beach and pool area.
Review 32:Frozen chips. I prefer fresh chips.
Review 33:We like the Palace so much that we have stayed there for the past 14 years. When we stayed in 2000 the palm trees were 1 metre high now they are 20metres high. The staff is always very accommodating.
Review 34:Hotel well located on the beachfront. It could be a very good hotel but have things that are truly deplorable: the sunbeds by the pool are extremely uncomfortable and not have mattresses which can not be understood in a hotel of this category; to be able to use the safe room you must pay separately; to get access to towels for the pool you have to submit a deposit. Absolutely ridiculous ...
Review 35:The pool is very nice. The breakfeast is good but it was better some years ago.
Review 36:Pool loungers here (and at gran conil another hipotel) are not comfortable enough. At this level of hotel loungers should have cushions.
Review 37:Superb beach, very comfortable hotel excellent breakfast. Very nice pool.
Review 38:Nothing, we loved the place and can't wait to go back!
Review 39:Outstanding breakfast & dinner buffet, all staff extremely friendly and professional, relaxing atmosphere, perfect location on beautiful Barrosa beach
Review 40:Massive hotel with hundreds of rooms, definitely not a "palace" but a raisonable 4 stars.
Review 41:Situated next to the beach, nice swimming pool, quite
Review 42:Minor issue with having to pay to use the room safe! Safe cost €5 to rent, for a 5* hotel this is a silly cost to ask of clients!!
Review 43:Lots of open spaces within hotel to sit down and relax. Good when weather is rotten! Wifi signal works very well throughout entire hotel!! Spa excellent and decent prices as well. Buffet food is very good quality well worth it.
Review 44:Nothing to fault.
Review 45:Everything at the Hotel was excellent, truly 5 Star.
Review 46:PAID PARKING IN HOTEL
Review 47:ALMOST EVERYTHING
Review 48:Location Comfort Cleanliness Pools Spacious rooms - comfortable beds - amazing bathroom
Review 49:Friendliness of staff, facilities location
Review 50:Second trip. Last trip the buffet was amazing, this time I thought it all looked a little "tired" !!
Review 51:Spacious, bright, comfortable, excellent staff.
Review 52:Everythinhg, from the smiling staff to the situation. Only whinge isabout directions to find hotel will hopefully go back... Soon
Review 53:nothing
Review 54:loved everything- cant wait to return.
