Review 1：Charged extra for an ocean view room upon arrival, no maid service, only received 2 towels the 3 nights there, entry from the beach is at the opposite end of the building, restaurant was closed, bedding was basic, no hairdryer, skillets in kitchen were worn out, no bathroom soap, no bathtub mat, bathtub very slippery. We were there over Christmas and some of the very few guests there, rather spooky. The one way street in front of the building makes access to the hotel a little difficult.

Review 2：Excellent location directly on the beach, good little kitchen with almost everything, good tv programs most in Portguese but some in English, balcony, and ocean view. Even though charged 10 Euros extra per night for an ocean view room, they gave us free parking, laundry room was free

Review 5：Apartamentos Playa Barbate is a great place to stay. The balconies with views of the beach are wonderful. The apartment was extremely clean which I really appreciated. The staff was also very helpful when we needed to relocate because of some work that was being done on the building next door, they changed us to the other side without any problems. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 8：The kitchen has tons of appliances but no salt, pepper, oil, etc. so to make a meal it's not very practical. Similarly, NO soap provided in kitchen or bathroom, no shampoo, etc. Seems sparse. The building is a very large complex, the photos are a bit misleading in that it seems they all have beach balconies. Those are pricier apartments and the standard apartments overlook a concrete building, no ocean view. We asked for a double bed/ quiet room and got single beds next to a newborn...

Review 9：While the girl who did our check-in was very unhelpful, the young gentleman who took over after for the night shift was really friendly and helpful. He definitely improved our impression of the place. The location is right on the beach which is nice, nearby to cafés.

Review 10：Excellent value for money. Very clean and well managed building with direct access to wonderful beach for young children. Best restaurant in town is probably in the same building, facing the sea. Very popular with the Spanish. Wi-fi worked great, even from the building onto the beach and adjacent cafés. Very well managed building. Secure (for kids), with safe, shutters, etc. Laundry facilities are free, which was a bonus.

Review 28：If you want a proper sea view there are only 8 rooms and no way of selecting one via booking.com. Most of the balconies overlooked unattractive side streets with a side view of some sea. We paid top whack for a penthouse apartment, but it was just a 3rd floor apartment with partial sea views. No one was interested when I mentioned my concerns to the staff (in Spanish)

The staff were great and really helpful and the location was superb, sea views from our balcony and just a step or two onto the beach. We particularly loved the rooftop pool with a stunning view across the bay. Excellent all round!

Review 32：The apartment is rather small, kitchen is tiny, no electric kettle provided even upon request, staff speaks limited English, AC is general for both rooms, so in the big one it is cold and in the small one very hot.
