Reviews for Hotel Villa de Alquézar

Review 1:What a fantastic place to stay, would highly reccomend anyone travelling to Spain to venture out off the main cities and experience this fantastic little town Alcazar and wonderful hotel hotel villa de Alcazar

Review 2:Actually locating the establishment in the beautiful narrow streets was a challenge. I question the bed linen as I decided to sleep in my clothes due to irritation from the sheets and plastic underlay!

Review 3:The location and setting were delightful. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, very helpful.

Review 4:Car park a little difficult to reach through narrow streets, but not enough to cause a major problem.

Review 5:Fantastic location and view. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 6:Only able to stay one night.

Review 7:The amazing view from our terrace. The bed was comfortable and ample space for 2 people and luggage . The staff was friendly and helpful . Lots of places to wander and explore nearby. The breakfast was good, included some fresh fruit.

Review 8:The wifi did not work consistently.

Review 9:We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Villa de Alquezar! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool was lovely. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. But most of all, the service was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home.

Review 10:Perfect location. Very helpful, nice people at the reception. Breakfast was good, almost everything already placed on the table.. The pool is also quite nice.

Review 11:There is no wheel lock on the back of the door so you need to use the key to lock and unlock the room. This has to be done in darkness as the lights go out the instant the fob is removed from the socket.

Review 12:Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Great private balcony for enjoying a bottle of wine as the Sun sets.

Review 13:quite difficult to find car park

Review 14:The restaurant recommended by the receptionist was fabulous Great food and ambience on terrace. ie "La Marmita de Guara The service also excellent.

Review 15:Wi-Fi poor :(. But we weren't there long enough to ask help from the staff. So I can't say that it couldn't be fixed. Would definitely stay again.

Review 16:Great location. Great view! Amazing breakfast!

Review 17:nothing

Review 18:welcoming and friendly staff who make you feel welcome,no request was to much trouble, relaxed atmosphere, great breath-taking views, charming village, very tasty and varied breakfast, we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and would highly recommend, will return for longer next time.

Review 19:The view from our third floor balcony was stunning, the room was gorgeous, the hotel was well located in the town, breakfast was superb. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of Spain. Alquezar was really easy to find and the streets easy to navigate compared to many old towns. This was a truly special visit that we will remember for ever.

Review 20:The hotel is very well located, 2 minutes walk from anywhere in the small town. The rooms are well equipped, large and comfortable, there is a bathtub and a balcony, parking. I loved the staff and the breakfast with quality local products, in front of the chimney to get warm (in January). The village is beautiful and around there are great things to see (like the river Cinca canyon, with plenty of protected species of birds and other wild animals), you can bike, hike, make rafting or escalate. Would definitely recommend the place and return to it ourselves!

Review 21:There was nothing to complain about !

Review 22:Lovely setting. Well equipped room with balcony view of the collegiate and gorge beyond. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfasts superb, using all local produce. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 23:Sadly, the bed was so hard, it was almost unbearable.

Review 24:Fabulous room with balcony looking out onto the castle and scenery. Lovely hotel with lots of attention to detail. Free secure parking. Very helpful receptionist. Delicious breakfast.

Review 25:The hotel was very friendly & welcoming, the room with a view was great & the beds were comfy. we had 3 very nice days there while traveling around the local area. We were riding a motorbike & got soaked on our last day, The owner allowed us to put our wet riding gear though the dryers. Overall the hotel & staff were very good --- recommended

Review 26:The large breakfast was laid out on the table well before we arrived. A lot of waste. Would prefer a buffet style with fresh meat, cheese, yoghurt bought out when required.

Review 27:A warm welcome, the wonderfully appointed room with a balcony looking over the castle, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Review 28:Breakfast was very good but wasteful. There was too much food on each table. Better to have a buffet where people could take what they wished.

Review 29:The welcoming staff, the clean rooms, the location and the free available parking area. Close to wonderful restaurants.

Review 30:This was a very lovely hotel in a stunningly beautiful location. The hotel looked as though it had been recently refurbished as everything looked fresh and new with tasteful decoration throughout. We were greeted by a lovely lady who spoke good English but this is not a place you find many English speaking tourists so communication in the town can be a bit of a problem if you don't speak Spanish or French. There is a carpark available for guests. This can get full by the end of the day but car parking can be found nearby. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, local ham/chorizo and the most delicious tomatoes, together with bread and pastries. We had a stunning view from our terrace and the surrounding scenery is truly spectacular with amazing canyons that can be accessed on a circular walk that starts from the town. Wild thyme, olive trees and various fruit trees can be found along the route. We were so happy that we had opted to stay a little longer here as there is much to see in the surrounding area. We took the road to Ainsa (the only touristy spot in this area) which was narrow and very winding with completely unspoilt villages and view points along the narrow winding road. Spectacular canyons with vultures soaring up above and fantastic views of the Pyrenees are our lasting memories.

Review 31:The breakfast was good, but they put everything on the table at the starting hour (so the food/drinks are quite warm if you don't go early). But when we asked for fresh cheese, yoghurt, etc, they gave it. The air system in the bathroom was very noisy.

Review 32:This hotel is situated central in the city. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms (+ terrace) were OK and clean (but missed a bit of character). You can park the car safely at the hotel parking lot (you have to drive up left before the main entrance of the hotel). There is a small garden in the hotel, nice for eating something or relaxing or ...

Review 33:It is the only hotel in town that has parking, free or otherwise. A big plus.

Review 34:Very noisy

Review 35:The staff is very nice Very big room with great view Good breakfast Best shower ever!!!

Review 36:Tricky parking...but a minor thing!

Review 37:Hotel and staff faultless..couldn't do enough.

Review 38:best location/get a room with balcony and view

Review 39:Very good hotel in an excellent location.

Review 40:No free WIFI

Review 41:Position, parking place, cleanliness and very good breakfast

Review 42:Great room fantastic breakfast Friendly staff. Good parking.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 43:More bread, less cake at breakfast. Cereals and fruit??

Review 44:Our fourth visit, standards being maintained . More rooms being built.

Review 45:Nothing

Review 48:Worth upgrading to get a balcony with amazing views. Parking onsite a bonus.

Review 49:Wifi did not work properly

Review 50:Staff, views, tranquility, breakfast, location

Review 51:Alquezar

Review 52:breakfast was really nice, with local products, fresh fruit, the selection was limited, but everything was of very good quality.

Review 54:The hotel was very nice. Convenient parking.

Review 55:Location, accomodation, panoramic views.

Review 56:The pillows. Too hard.

Review 57:Amazing views to wake up to. Great location, very good breakfast, stylish clean rooms with very good bathroom facilities.

Review 58:Wifi was not working and no real attempt to fix it. Didn't seem to care.

Review 59:Lovely hotel. Great breakfast.

Review 60:The room with the balcon is perfect!!!!!!

Review 61:Location Team Breakfast Quite View from the room

Review 62:Fantastic view. Accommodating staff.

Review 63:Would have been helpful if we had been told how to find the car park - one must keep straight on rather than turn right into the street with the hotel entrance; we had to drive on very narrow streets through the rest of the town(full of pedestrians) to get turned!

Review 64:Great position; very nice room, comfortable beds, good balcony, good breakfast, good parking (open air better than garage). helpful advice on restaurants and walks

Review 65:Although breakfast was extensive, there was no cereal, which is our thing. You will not go hungry though.

Review 66:The view from room 18 was great for photos of the castle at Dawn with sun rising behind it and at night when flood lit. The Staff spoke excellent English and were really helpful in advice about the town and where to have dinner. Private car parking under Hotel was the big bonus as other hotels had public car parking on the edge of town.

Review 67:Nothing about the hotel itself, except that it would be nice if itoffered a supper.

Review 68:I loved that our room overlooked the actual alquezar, and the moon thatcame up over it! I loved our balcony and the absolute quiet at night, the isolation of the village, walking up and down the stone-pavedstreets at all hours of day and night. The breakfasts were included andvery nice, with lovely quiet service. The village is a fabulous jumpingoff point for a day trip up to the Pyrenees, wonderful driving. Also wewere surprised to find ourselves in wine country with bodegas everywhereand cheap great wine, not to mention yummy goat cheese. Go, make sureyou get a room with a balcony overlooking the castle--it's not big,but it's worth it.

Review 69:We went to visit the local museum and castle but despite signs saying they should have been open at the time of our visit they were both closed. We could see people inside the castle on the wall walk but the door was locked.

Review 70:We had a lovely 2 night stay. Our room was large with good sized bathroom and balcony with view over the castle. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the lady on reception very helpful. Breakfast was good and the location is excellent. This hotel is amazing value for money. We loved the town and ate at Meson del Vero just down the road from the hotel. Great food, amazing value, some tables have views over the countryside and castle. We hope to come back to stay at the hotel.

Review 71:The rooms we booked had excellent views and were comfortable and clean.Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly. The hotel is in a goodspot to explore the town of Alquezar and the surrounding walks and rivervalley. Very good value for money.

Review 72:Tight parking. Noise from neighbours and corridor, case wheels on tiles in particular.

Review 73:Balcon with views. Good breakfast. Pleasant interior decor.

Review 74:Lack of comfortable, double bed.

Review 75:Very familiar place with beautyfull surroundings. Rio Vero canyon worth to see!.

Review 76:Great location in a beautiful hilltop village; good breakfast and onsite parking.

Review 77:Better towels

Review 78:Location location and view

Review 79:Great room. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful with all of our requests. Great breakfast too.
